This was the first time I ordered from this place and my experience was terrible. I placed an online order for a smoothie during a 45 min lunch break. Not only did the smoothie take an hour to be prepared overall, I had to ask the status of my order 30 mins after I placed it and was told I havent even checked the online orders. When she finally looked and made it she did not call my name and let it sit. When I finally received my smoothie it was just juice. I was already late for class and they were too busy for me to ask for a refund.

We have been to Craven Coffee House on and off for a few years at multiple locations. The best location thus far is Lenoir Campus. HOWEVER the other campuses and main location have all been not great service and product. The coffee isnt good, over sugared, cold and flavorless, and just plain gross. We have tried several things on the menu. Not great. My husbands coffee is COLD. Tastes like something you would get in a hotel. The service can be described as I dont want to be here. The workers are gloomy, upset, and just dont want to converse with you about your order or even the weather. This has happened several times now on and off over a few years. We dont write bad reviews often but the owners need to step this place up.We will be going else where like Joe Mugs or Downtown.

I order breakfast and lunch from here almost everyday (through doordash).The prices are awesome, drinks are great, food filling and great tasting. Id rather go here than any chain coffeeshop or restaurant.The Salted Dog Frappe is to die for, I would recommend it for anyone who likes an iced caramel macchiato or caramel latte on the sweet side! I get the BBQ brisket wrap for lunch, which is so savory and cheesy, and their salads are great too for when I want something a bit healthier.

A great place to met friends for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Both were delicious and well priced and the staff was friendly.

Today was my first time trying the chicken bacon Swiss wrap and a side salad. It was delicious! Better yet in Tony the Tiger voice Greeeaat!

The place is hidden in the outskirts of New Bern. Not much to say about their decor or ambiance but their pastries are AMAZING. So fresh with great unique flavors. Great find.

I was excited about this place because it close to my house and hopefully cheaper than Starbucks or Dunkin. Got 2 Hawaiian dream lattes. White chocolate and macadamia nut... Sounds yummy right? I’m sure I would have thought so if there had been ANY espresso in my cup. I open it up and the coffee was white... no darkness to it at all... My latte was warm sweetened milk... GROSS! Paid $4 for warm milk.....

Wow! Fantastic hole in the wall eatery. The cheesy cheddar grits topped with bacon are like velvet. Loved the NY bagel breakfast, tried the Oatmeal bowl with Banana and nuts. Wonderful but it was about 212 degrees!Dr. Dan

I absolutely love this place but todays the third time that Ive tried to get food at/shortly after noon and theyre closed. The guy inside wouldnt even look at me. Sounds like they need to update their operating hours.

I honestly love the place. I order lunch or breakfast with my coworkers every other day. The experience is so pleasant that I always volunteer to make the run. The workers are friendly, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is mellow. I havent tasted anything from their kitchen that I didnt enjoy from the breakfast burrito to the Blueberry cobbler muffin! mmmmmm On my way to get a chicken burrito now!

The food is amazing and the staff is great!! They really listen to what you like and then they make the best recommendations!! Im in LOVE with the cranberry chicken salad wrap or sandwich!! You have to add the pecans!!

Coffee was good.The grits someone was saying was good were just instant grits that werent even mixed good. Ugh.! Lots of cheese in them. Bacon wasnt burnt but had a burnt taste .I threw them away.I gave 3 stars for great service.

Stopped by on a road trip because of the clever name. The owners were friendly, coffee was good and the bananas foster ice cream was fabulous.

Ive been to all the coffee places in New Bern and this one, in my opinion, has the best tasting coffee.

A lot of our law enforcement guys go in there. The food is excellent the service is always great they never miss a Beat. The coffee is the best in New Bern!

Although their coffee and food is top-notch if you ask for espresso they dont actually give you a spresso they just Brew their coffee darker.

I was really surprised by these reviews and wished that the average review would have been my experience. My husband had a business trip several months back and I had some work to do so he dropped me off here for coffee and some work time. I was the only customer at the time and at first was very content enjoying my cup of coffee and writing. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and I was happy with the service. Something must have happened that upset either the owner or the manager but whoever it was they came out from the office and began yelling and berating the employee behind the counter. Although the person with authority saw me there it did not seem to bother them. The employee went outside and as I left I gave a displeased look, stopping to thank the teary eyed employee for their service and disappointed in myself for not treating the person in authority as they treated the person behind the counter. I will never go back.

This review is not about the coffee or food served, its about the customer service. The coffee is excellent!So a few weeks ago I noticed this place on the way to NBHS to sub. That morning I didnt have time to stop in because I was running late, but I promised myself next time I was subbing at NBHS that I would make time to stop in and check it out. This place advertises that it opens at 7:00 am. I pulled into the parking lot at 6:53 a.m and was going to just sit in my car, but I saw a gentleman come out of the coffee shop and open/unlock the door, so I thought I would go in. When I walked in he came around from behind the counter and looked at me, didnt say A WORD, just looked at me. I said Its not quite 7:00 and laughed. He just said Have a seat. After me, another guy walked in. The guy behind the counter made small chit chat with this guy, friendly stuff...he got a good morning and how was your week?. Ok, maybe this guy is a regular at this coffee place? Thats fine, but why couldnt I receive the same polite attitude when I walked in? It still wasnt 7:00 yet. So the guy behind the counter was much nicer and more attentive to the guy who walked in AFTER me. I was not presenting as though I was rushed and pressed for time, I wasnt being impatient. Finally, the guy behind the counter walks to the cash register, repeatedly checking his watch, and RIGHT at 7:00 he says what can I get for you? and then added an I didnt think anyone would be here so early. I placed my order of dark roast coffee with room left for cream. He says Youll have to wait for the dark roast to brew. I nodded in response, but I am thinking to myself; Why am I waiting for coffee to be brewed when its a basic coffee and you are supposed to be open at 7:00? Its not a specialty order, it was a NORMAL COFFEE. If I owned an establishment like this and served coffee, I would have coffee brewed and ready when I was supposed to be open. Now, I am not saying EVERYTHING should be ready, certainly not the specialty drinks like cappuccino or frappes... but basic coffee, yes! It should be ready right away when you open. I was just so put off by the way I was being treated, like I was an inconvenience. Maybe the guy working had a bad night, we all have them. I am not completely writing the place off because the coffee was quite good and its got a cute little vibe to it, but the customer service needs work. I will try them again at some point and see if its the same. I believe in 2nd chances, so they will get one before I decide that the place isnt worth it.
