I am giddy to share that I found the dress at Modern Trousseau in downtown Nashville a few weeks ago. Kelly was incredibly responsive when I asked some questions over email, before I went into the store. Because these dresses are custom-made-to-order, American made and incredible quality, most brides looking at Modern Trousseau have a higher budget than I did. Kelly encouraged me to still come and check out the sample sale as there would be a few items that would fall into a price range I was comfortable with ($3000).Kelly was eager to accommodate my needs, showing me a few dresses and veils that would work for me. I found a gorgeous dress that was on their sample sale - almost 50% off original cost. It was perfect and completely undamaged. I was not a typical customer but she never made me feel as though I was any less than someone customizing their gown. She spent plenty of time with me, making sure I had everything I needed, took pictures, helped me facetime my mom, and I purchased my dress that day :) When I came in the next day with my sister - she let me spend as much time as I needed feeling myself in my dress, and we found me a beautiful veil - a style I would not have selected without her expertise!She also suggested planners and makeup artists for me - vendors I had not yet secured. Thanks to Kelly and team (and the cute in-store dog). I love supporting American made and cant wait to rock my dress in May!Tip: arrive plenty early, there are paid parking garages throughout downtown that are a short walk - and opt to try dresses on in the front mirror with the big windows - better light there!

I had the absolute best experience at Modern Trousseau Nashville! I bought my dress in the fall of 2019 not knowing what 2020 had in store for the world. Modern Trousseau hung in there with me through 3 rescheduled wedding dates. My dress turned out absolutely stunning! I also cant say enough wonderful things about the seamstress I worked with through Modern Trousseau! Everyone made me feel right at home and completely beautiful. Such a good experience from start to finish! I had been to a few places already and was starting to get a little discouraged about finding the right dress for me. Lisa and Kelly were so sweet, extremely helpful, and just overall really positive and fun! The ability to customize features of the dress (and veil) to make the fit/style/silhouette unique to each individual is a HUGE bonus - cannot overstate this enough. Their dresses are already stunning, but this level of customization was an amazing feature I haven’t seen at any other dress shop. Also love that the company is all-female and the dresses are made in the US!

I came across Modern Trousseau in my online hunt for Bridal Boutiques in the Nashville area. They stood out immediately and I knew I wanted to go in-person to see more. They were extremely responsive and personable throughout the entire process. We had the entire shop to ourselves and felt comfortable and safe exploring their beautiful gowns. I cannot even express how incredible my experience was with Modern Trousseau. I was with friends, trying on dresses for fun since my wedding is 18 months away. WELL, it turns out my perfect dress was at Modern Trousseau and I bought it then and there. Kelly helped me out, and made me feel comfortable, beautiful and most importantly, listened to. She heard my concerns, and my wants, and took care of everything. I cannot recommend them enough. For a positive experience in every aspect, this is the place to go. Not to mention, their dresses are GORGEOUS. I have never felt more beautiful.

The worst. They made my fiancé the wrong dress for $4,000 wont own up to it. Says she gained weight. Simply not true. No integrity at all. I would strongly suggest going somewhere else. They also admitted that Callie doesnt actually make the dresses even though she is all over the website.

Just want to say this was the best experience in wedding dress shopping. We had been to another shop with no luck and I have to say dress shopping is not my daughter’s favorite thing to to do, but the ladies made it exciting and they pulled different types of dresses for her to try that she would not have normally chosen. They asked questions about how she felt in every dress and kept pulling new ones for her to try. Finally we got the first smile in a dress all day. She kept going back to that dress after trying on others and they would have her compare one dress to the best one. She went back to try on one more dress but instead came out gleaming, tears in her eyes, with the dress she continually had gone back to. That’s when we knew that was the dress. Thank you ladies for such an incredible experience and helping her find the perfect dress for her perfect day.

I came here with my daughter and I was very happy with this store. My daughter found a dress that she fell in love with and the price was right for our budget. The ladies were very nice and accommodating. They listened to what she wanted and they delivered. Best bridal shop.

Loved my dress I purchased here. It was a vintage feeling lace with beading all over for a hint of sparkle. I ordered a custom dress. After months of waiting it was in and I got to try it on. The dress didnt fit me anymore. I may have gained a little weight but it was too tight and the bust area was sooo huge. Alterations took care of everything but it had to be taken out about an inch in order to zip and the bust had to be taken in over an inch on each side. For this being a custom dress I would have thought it would have fit better. This was my first wedding dress purchase and hopefully my only one-so maybe this is what happens.

We had the BEST experience at Modern Trousseu Nashville! If I could give this 10/5 stars right now, I would! We felt extremely welcomed the second we walked through the door. Kelly and Lisa helped us during our time there and they made the experience unforgettable. The boutique is beautiful, the customer service is flawless, and the American made dresses are breathtaking. Went dress shopping here not knowing what to expect. I went on their Instagram and noticed a Instagram live post with sample dresses. I saw one dress that I liked and thought was super pretty. Working with the women at Modern Trousseau in Nashville was a dream experience. Allie (who is now at the New York Store) made sure I was comfortable, excited and most importantly confident. The dress I ended up choosing was the last dress of the day, at the last shop, so I almost didn’t try it on. Allie insisted that, “it speaks louder when its on” and it’s safe to say, she was right - She nailed it. I felt like ME in this dress! I truly never thought I would feel like a “bride” and here we were. I was encouraged to make as many (or as few!) custom adjustments that I wanted, until it felt perfect. I was lucky enough to work with two Modern Trousseau locations and consultants when purchasing my wedding dress. Kelly at the Georgetown, DC location, and Jen in Nashville. I can’t say enough wonderful things about either of these ladies or my MT experience.When I walked into MT Georgetown in March, I had fairly low expectations. I’d had two lengthy but disappointing appointments elsewhere, and was no closer to finding THE dress. But the instant I stepped into the first gown at Modern Trousseau, it felt different. No, that one wasn’t the one either, but it was the first one that put a smile on my face. Beautifully lined, obviously well-made, and unique in the array of seemingly identical itchy polyester numbers I’d seen (elsewhere) so far.Kelly bent over backward to ensure every detail was exactly as I wanted it. Madison was an INCREDIBLE dress consultant! We felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. I found a dress I liked and she encouraged me to feel sure, and try on more dresses (as we had an appointment somewhere else an hour later). I ended up buying a dress somewhere else, and felt terribly I couldn’t buy and give credit to Madison. Especially since at the other place they pressured me into making my decision that moment (which I hated). Madison deserves a raise, and the dresses here are beautiful.

I have had the most incredible time working with the girls at Midern Trousseau. My initial appointment was a real show stopper. I was given undivided attention and they paid attention to every detail. I told them what I wanted and they stuck to it. I was never pressured to try on anything I didn’t want to and I was never pushed to make a purchase. Instead I was encouraged to only try on what made me feel beautiful and that if I found something I loved, to take time to think on it and then decide so I knew it was right. I felt comfortable giving honest feedback and I knew that my opinion was valued. At the end of the first appointment, and after finding my dream dress, the associate I was working with revealed herself as the designer, Callie. I was blown away and so thankful for the experience. I knew that I would end up with exactly what I wanted considering I ended up liking two dresses and requesting they be put together to make one gown! My second appointment for my official fitting was just as phenomenal. I, again, worked with the designer and felt so comfortable and truly cared for the whole time. Another associate was helping with the process and was so kind and so much fun to be with. My fiancé and I are big FSU fans and come to find out, she also went to FSU!!! So we were able to chat and laugh about our common love for garnet and gold. A few weeks after my appointment I got the sweetest hand written note from her stating her excitement for me and she even remembered the details about FSU! The experience has been amazing and I know it will continue to be so. I can’t wait until my dress comes in. I know it’s going to be perfect. I am so thankful for my experience with Modern Trousseau and I would encourage anyone in search of a wedding gown to visit their shop!
