Great prices. Not much on variety but excellent on the staples. Friendly and not crowded. I love that they have sausage and onions ready to eat!

I was so happy to find this store in my neighborhood however not so happy after I went in and this store literally reeks of spoiled meat.. the smell is so pungent that makes you gag.. I think they freeze all their meats past expiration and defrost and resale.. I bought some summer sausage and when I opened it it just smelled horrible.. they have good deals on other things but DON’T buy meats or any meat products..

Very dissatisfied with store knowing what I know now. It is not uncommon whatsoever to go to the store and for the produce to be days old and on several occasions food was rotten.In addition to that there have been several times where I have purchased yogurt and bacon they were past expiration dates and when brought to managers attention he did not want to work to resolve the issue or give refund.With that being said there are still values on sale weeks but be Cautious what and how you buy their

I bought 3 packages of Trout from the seafood department. The sell by date is 3 days from now. Opened the packages and 2 of 3 smelled like ammonia and old hard cooked eggs. Called and asked when they were packaged. The manager had no idea. I told him the sell by date and he said, hed have to look at the box but it was thrown out. He could not tell me what their policy is for marking the sell by date. Never going there again. I had to throw them out. After smelling the two bad packages, I couldnt bring myself to trust the third.

I like to stop there occasionally for good prices and choices of food . Personnel is generally quite friendly and helpful . They need to upgrade their bakery department in my opinion.

I love this store. Its a very clean little place. Im very picky about the meat I buy especially the ground Chuck and they have the best around and I drive 20 minutes to go here. I also really like their produce and deli.

The fresh vegetables department is filthy, theres never anyone in the meat or fish departments, and the deli is severely understaffed. They do however, have a wonderful selection of ethnic foods that is convenient for our area.

I used to love this place but seems like it has gone down the hill in the past 2 years . Nobody seems to check produce and through away rotten and moldy once . I dont mean one or two .. I mean a whole line of them

I would give five if their grocery carts had a bottom rack for larger items. I assume that they are afraid that people will steal from them, they simply need to train their cashiers to look. Guess that I will continue to buy beer and soda elsewhere.

Need some improvement. The produce is not fresh enough. I only go there when I need something quick. Their tomato is just awful. Every time. I hope someone can tell them to stock their produce more carefully. On the other hand, other parts are decent. Reasonably priced.

Literally the worst market I’ve ever shopped at. Purchased some things FOUR days ago that we’re rotten upon closer inspection when i got home.(exchanged the next day and couldn’t use two days later) Also bought a pork roast to cook today and it’s expiration was April 8th. You guys need some better quality control. Won’t be shopping there for anything fresh I need.

This little market is our vendor of choice for fruit and vegetables, chicken and lunch meat! The prices were so good, we drive the extra 10 min to go there over Jewel. Please shop here to keep this local gem alive and so I never have to go back to Jewel! The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

When the store was Eagle it was nice. Butera never has anything on my list. The prices are okay there. But today when I stopped in to grab a bag of cat food I noticed the store smelled so bad. I dont know if it was coming from the seafood department but that was the kind of smell it was. Rotten fish smell. The worst part was I noticed the smell from the front of the store. Butera already doesnt come across as the cleanest store to me. With this horrible smell it really made me think. I will give it a few more tries. But if they dont get their act together theyve lost a long time customer. Its sad because I live so close. Now I will have to drive the extra distance and go to Jewel.

One of my favorite grocery stores. Lots of good deals and a local store feel. The only area they could improve are their hours. 9pm for closing is too early, especially for Fri and Sat. Make sure to get out of there a few mins before they close. They get really annoying and rude if you are still there after closing. In my opinion due to their terrible hours they should be a little more understanding and happy they have a customer. No doubt their bosses have been rude and less understanding.

This place consistently rocks. No reason to go Marianos or Jewel. Store always has everything I need and very friendly staff without ridiculous hustle or bustle. Keep up the great work providing excellent experience time and again.

Although this was quite a distance for us to come we live in Chicago and I wish there was a Butera store at South side at least I found the that even though the products were the same as the stores nearby these prices on certain items were far less expensive. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the organization of the store as well as the employees considerate attention to whatever I needed. I was also amazed at how quiet it was in the store it made the experience very relaxing which is very hard for me. The office manager was very accommodating and went and got me a cart cuz I have difficulty walking. It was a joy to shop there.

Great for international foods from all over the world and some surprising deli and bakery choices. The prices are reasonable, too. But its a store discount store, so keep that in mind when your looking for specific brands or high-end items.

They offer some good deals in their meat department. Produce not t my liking. Service personnel not very pleasant, seem put upon by questions, do not offer help or take requests for help gladly. Seems to me that a management attitude is mirrored by the employees.

Typical grocery store.Out in the parking lot during the spring and fall is a great set up with plants, flowers and seasonal items. Great pumpkin choices right now.

Was in line for 10 minutes for one item because the manager on staff decided to bag groceries instead running the express lane. Multiple were in line with 1 or two things waiting behind people doing their weeks worth of groceries. Makes no sense!

I like the more low key lookin grocery stores and this one has actual decent prices (from what I can tell). Also the shade of red that the employers wear is just my preferred color of grocery store employee shirt. So that seals the deal for the 5 star rating

One of the better Buteras Ive been in. So.Elgin store is alway trashy but Naperville store is good.

Its your basic grocery store but has more than you think going into it. Dont expect a Marianos or Wholefoods but rather more of a cheaper alternative to Jewel and Dominicks. They have a vast meat selection (Beef, Lamb, Turkey, Chicken, Steaks, etc.) Pricing is competitive.

Often barren, haphazardly arranged merchandising.Not the environment that instills confidence in the quality and freshness of their ingredients—that said, if youre looking for a health food store, youre not going to Butera Market.No my friends, Butera is your local purveyor of low/mid-grade, highly processed, preservative-laden foodstuffs.To be fair, prices are good, very competitive in many areas.Needless to say, this place for us has become for emergencies only as its the closest grocery store to us.3/5

This is one of the markets u will be able to find fresh Indian vegetables and also indian grocery + Others. Not exactly a typical Indian store but better stock of Indian grocery... If your looking for buttermilk also this could be the place you want to check first...

My wife is Polish, and this grocery store has a few aisles dedicated to Polish and other foreign foods. This is our go--to store very near by when we cant make it to Bobaks or Standard Market. I have found the people to be very nice, courteous, and the cashiers to be quick. The store has just been renovated and is very inviting. After reading the other comments from 2-4 years ago, I guess the store has come a long way and we will definitely continue to shop there.
