So, I’ve never been into any Ace but this one. I don’t know too much about tools yet, or different materials, and hardware applications etc. BUT! I must say, after just walking in and being helped by a couple different employees upon different visits… I’ve walked out SMARTER each time. AND happier. These ladies and gentlemen who work here, are absolutely awesome.They must have a good team leader or supervisor because their teamwork was even displayed in my short visit. “Oh go ahead to the back, I’ll cover the register for ya.” and one lady who worked there asked help lifting a lawnmower and every employee in hearing range were eager to go help.Only negative, not worth docking a star though, is when I pulled the carriage bolts I needed, I found out later on that a couple were the wrong size, even though they were all pulled from the same bin. That might not have even been their fault though. Could have been another customer like me who doesn’t know hardware all that well yet. LOLA grade for this store :)If you guys see this… tell the rest of the team. You all rock.

Well color me impressed! I stopped here to get some paint for a project at church and wow were they helpful! All their staff knew just where everything was. It was well stocked and had a wide variety of products! I was really impressed!

Lovely space. A little tight. Not much room to move. But enough. Well orginized. Staff ready to help as soon as you need. Convenient location. Slightly tight parking but easy enough to access.

I just wanted to say thank you to Angela the super friendly cashier that was working here today! She was very kind and helpful when I called and asked if there was anymore sleds still available. She said that there was and offered to set some to the side for me. It was perfect because if I hadn’t called she later said that they would’ve been sold out by the time we got there. Found what I was looking for, an item Home Depot did not have. Store is cramped with a weirdly laid out parking lot but staff was very helpful and friendly!

Nice Mom & Pop hardware store for last minute home project needs. The employees are friendly and helpful, and seem to enjoy personally helping you find what youre looking for. The only reason Im not giving a 5th star is because of the selection of products, and to a lesser extent, the slight messiness of the aisles. Its a small store and they only have so much room, so if youre looking for something exotic you may need to search elsewhere. All-in-all, I recommend Ace.

I have always liked shopping here for my hardware needs. If I cant locate it there is a person right there to help me out.

Helpful and courteous staff. Worth a stop. Unfortunately they often do not have the specific items I need. With that said, I will continue to give them a try since they do try to be helpful and sometimes they surprise me by having just what I need.

This is a home town hardware store that has comparable prices. Easy in and out.

They are always helpful and they usually have what Im looking for. The location is convenient to where I live which is why Im usually willing to pay the higher price if Im short on time.They also offer veteran and contractor discounts which is great, most stores which offer veteran discounts only do so at limited times and some require registration in order to get it (lowes). I have my veteran designation on my license, which is sufficient to get the discount any day of the year which is very nice.

I went there to get a key fob key made that ordered online. I thought they were extremely friendly and helpful. They didnt even charge mr to make the key!! 😁

Staff is super helpful and you can find almost everything you are looking for right here in town. There have been times that I wasnt sure exactly what I needed to complete a plumbing job and they were able to point me in the right direction or provide a suggestion to complete the job in a much better way than I knew. You definitely wont get that type of service at a big box store!

I prefer to do business with local stores and had good experiences here. My last visit was to exchange a Craftsman socket (lifetime warranty) that broke. Despite having the same size in stock, they refused to exchange for warranty because it was not the exact same model number. The manager also refused. I called Craftsmans customer service and they said my model number had been superceded, but the warranty is still good and the store should have honored the warranty. Craftsman sent me a replacement at no charge and said they would call North shore Ace to educate them on the warranty policy.Im rating three stars because I have had good service there in the past. However, if you are going to carry a product line, you need to be aware of what it entails and take care of the customer.

If you need it, they have it. Skip the big box and shop with the pros.

Do NOT use their small engine repair. They had to repeat carb. work in a short period of time & they blame bad gas. The engine was run & it had stabilizer! Manager will not see the customers view. Find another repair shop!

Went in to have a blower vac repaired and it was way more to repair than it was to purchase a new one. Stewart, the small engine repair tech got me a larger model for a cheaper price. Great place for all your hardware and more.

Love this local hardware. They have a lot stuff in that little store. They ask if you need help and are quick to give it.

I stopped in on a Saturday morning and they were closed. The employees were sitting out back waiting for the manager with the key. They said it was common to have to wait for the store to be opened. After a 35 minute wait I went to the big box store. I wrote a letter to the owner letting him know what happened and he did not respond to me. So much for customer service and supporting your local small business.

Prices are hard to find for their nuts and bolts. Once I had everything at the register I had to go back and try to find the price of the ones I grabbed. If I have to inform the cashier of what the prices of tiems I grabbed are there should at least be a sign asking me to do so instead of having to deal with the awkward walk back to the aisle.

Great place to get hardware, yard and garden supplies, and pretty much any small engine repair. They also have helped me with some custom lexan and plexiglass fitments. Also, you dont have to look for an employee to get help. You wont get ten feet in the store without help.

When it comes to small hardware chains you would think customer service would be a number 1 priority. Nope not for this place! We called and told them we where on the way but it might be a few minutes past their close time of 2pm. They could of easily said of course I’ll stay open for ya a few extra minutes. Seeing as the individuals job is customer service. Nope the person said I close the door at 2. Well guess what now I will never be shopping at your establishment ever again. The hardware down by meijer had no problem waiting, because that is what customer service is all about. Otherwise what’s the point might as well go to Lowe’s, HomeDepot or Menards, and they are cheaper also. I guess this location just doesn’t care about customers enough to stay open 5 more minutes.
