This isn’t one of the larger commissaries but it has the necessities and it definitely came in handy in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. It was also very convenient when we lived on the base at Wescoat Village. A couple times I brought a few grocery items then got home and realized they were expired. Overall this commissary has been a good replacement for shopping at Safeway which is way more expensive. Oh, did I mention they offer both paper and plastic bag options and they’re FREE.

Always a pleasure to go here. I dont like buying produce here because there isnt much but thats to be expected with how small the place is. Buying meat here is the way to go and whatever frozen foods. I often buy baby foods and supplies. Will continue to go as long as theyre open and I live here

This is a nice commissary for the size of this base. There is a nice variety of produce and it is very fresh. The meat was fresh and plentiful. There is not a lot of brand choices for dry goods, but enough for the size.

Went here to get some food for our hotel room. Very clean and a nice little commissary. Our girls enjoyed helping us get the food by pushing our cart for us. Would definitely go again.

The best grocery store in the area...The meats are the best quality with the lowest price anywhere....great Commissary staff there also...they are very helpful!

Just like a regular grocery store, except only available to active duty, retired, or Disabled Veterans. Must have a valid Military ID, just to get into Moffett Feild Base.

Good place to shop for active military, retiree and federal civil services. People are friendly and currently the store is not too crowded. There is variety of items but in some cases small quantities.

You cannot beat the prices.

This commissary is a joke. We got grape juice then I noticed it was expired since 6 month and Powerade that was expired since 5 month. Then the next day I went to return it the lady was not really friendly. And give me clearly to understand that they always restock but clearly that no one check if they sale expired stuff.

Have been shopping here for over twenty years. It has improved by having variety of products on the shelf. I usually can find what I need at the commissary. The savings are three times less than civilian grocery stores. Bring your receipts from Walmart, Lucky’s or Safeway. You’ll realize the savings at the commissary and less wait in lines.

This facility is not open to the public. However, if you do have Commissary access, this one is quite small. They have a limited selection on things like produce, but it is walking distance from the Navy Lodge ad the prices are good (as always). Since prices in the general area are so high, this comes in very handy.

Best service, always helpful and kind. If you ever need anything dont hesitate to ask they are always willing to go out of their way to help or get what you need.

I have only great things to say. I have been a customer of Moffet and several other commissaries in this countries and I cannot ever recall anything but great people who work there. The manager has to be tops because the workers are always ready to help, with a smile on there faces. To me, this is a great asset for the commissary.

Great place to do a majority of shopping. We save a lot of money by shopping here and the staff is great to work with and very helpful. If you have access to shop here, it should be your first stop.

It was our first visit to the Commissary since we moved into the South Bay. It’s nice and familiar to shop there. The prices are great. Easy to park. Not crowded. Check out was a breeze and it was nice to have baggers there to help expedite the process. We will be going back there and incorporating it into our shopping routine. Thanks!

The prices are great and the produce is fresh. The attendants were watching me and my family like a hawk though. I didnt enjoy that part of the shopping experience. NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE THIEVES. Just in case anyone needed a reminder.

Doesnt mean much to make a public review of a non-public place. But for those that have the ability to use it, its a great, friendly little commissary. Dont go there expecting to find a bakery, deli, or extensive selection that youd find in a larger public grocer, or even a typical commissary if youve been living near a large military installation. But the prices are great on meat and produce, youll save significantly on many items. Great for a weekly stock up of heavily used groceries and personal items.

Excellent prices and very good selection, we save serious money compared to retail groceries. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The only downside is that the aisles are a bit narrow.

H. Wadahara,You cant beat the prices at the Commissary. Most things are at lease a dollar cheaper. A dollar here and a dollar there makes for a huge savings.Without this Commissary, I may have to move out of town.

I give it a 3 because its produce isnt so good. But, if you have a military ID, its pretty hard to not shop here. Its easily 50% cheaper for non-perishables (and most other items, frankly) than what youll find at a grocery store off base. If you need stuff that keeps or frozen foods and other provisions, its awesome...and right in the middle of Silicon Valley. Cant beat that. I think the next big commissary is at Travis AFB.

Nice well stocked commissary. Its small, but they carry a wide range of products and the prices are excellent. Recent improvements have made it even better. Hope they continue to keep it open!

Very well stocked, clean commissary. Surprisingly large, and smack in the middle of The Bay Area. Normal commissary pricing, plus great static displays along the way from the gate!

It is nice to have a commissary near by. It takes us 20 minutes to get back and forth. We love it. It is a tab small, but has all the stuff we need and the employees and baggers are very kind.

Small commissary,but they are very well stocked. Closed on Mondays. It is rare indeed,that something I want is not there. I go 2-3 times per month, and am truly happy to have this commissary close enough to my Sunnyvale home.

The only thing they need is a bike rack outside. Besides that, I enjoy the friendly people and low prices.

Great place for local service members and vets to buy groceries. The meat department is excellent. The closed Mondays is very strange.

Substandard products; cheaper, would be a better description. Take away the good stuff and replace it with cra... They are just trying to keep high level DECA jobs. Yogurt, juices, meat, eggs and frozen foods are priced right. The staff is friendly, the only department that needs improvements is fruit and produce. They do not seem to be local and often taste as if they spent too long in the refrigerator!

Home away from home! A great place to go get a great deal on groceries if your retired from the military or currently in the military.

Very good selection, though not comprehensive. Some things not available, such as sauerkraut. Excellent prices. Usual commissary membership rules apply.

Not crowded, shelves are fully stocked, friendly, GREAT pricing.

This is the only commissary in the area for active, reserve and retirees of the military. The closest is Travis Air Force Base and Monterey. The savings are unbelievable and without tax. That helps tremendously. The produce and meats are excellent!

We shop regularly at Moffett, Travis, and Fort Ord commissaries. This one is convenient for us as I used to live in the south bay, so I can combine grocery shopping with visiting friends and family as well as hitting up a favorite restaurant. While a bit smaller than the other two, the Moffett store is well stocked with everything we need. They have excellent produce and meat, and the checkers are all very friendly. Tips: the aisles are slightly narrow so please note the arrows at each end and go in the appropriate direction, and dont forget to tip your baggers!

Happy to have this commissary here at least. Though the base isnt active, the commissary is still there. Really helps with savings especially living here un the bay area. The staffs are friendly, and place is clean eventhough its old. Most of the baggers are grandmas/pas so they love seeing the little ones and the place feels safe.

The produce is always fresh and great prices! I have only great things to say!

Commissary is smaller than I am used to, but has a pretty decent selection of products. The prices are good, just wish their hours were more flexible.

Friendly and courteous staff. A smaller commissary without the selections and options of a larger one but a breath of fresh air in silicon valley where grocery store prices are exorbitant.

Great place in a very high cost of living area. Use it or lose it, guys. But that assumes veterans can actually afford to live in Silicon Valley! Consistently cheaper than national chains out in town, even for things supposedly on sale. And definitely cheaper than any of the trendy fu-fu stores (Whole Foods, Sprouts, TJs, etc.). But two things to consider. First, they are a small commissary with just a basic variety of products and brands. Second, the self checkout machines are very user unfriendly...worse than any Ive used out in town. They constantly fault and require an attendant to intercede; and thus it often takes longer overall than just waiting in line for the next cashier.

Obviously a fine shopping experience for those entitled to use the Military Commissary.

Its a commissary, and its jammed packed with all kinds of food. Navigation is tricky. Mind the arrows on the floor at the end of the aisles, lest you go the wrong way and encounter the wrath of some 90 year old retired captain wanting to relive his glory days.....
