Ive been taking my car to Marvin for many years and he has always done a fantastic job. He clearly loves Porsches and is happy to review and explain the tiniest details of all the work he completed. Ive been surprised after servicing the car just how obsessively clean everything is - no grime on the calipers, no dirt on the engine (I only see the engine when I pull the cover for a smog check) . If you want to cut corners because Porsche maintenance is expensive, then this is probably not the shop for you. But if you want to keep your car in tip-top shape, Marvin is the best.
Asked if theyd do a simple brake job. Was told no, they wouldnt help. Quite strange.
Excellent inspections with over 100 items and 1 on 1 time to go over them. When I was looking to buy a Porsche 996 Turbo I knew I needed to get an inspection before purchasing one. I live in Florida but found two good deals on cars in the San Francisco area. I happened to choose The RennShop based on the reviews and I was not disappointed.I had the first car inspected, which took an entire day, and Marvin called me in the evening to go over the inspection, item by item. He explained what each item was and described what he found. I definitely dodged a bullet with the first car as the inspection showed multiple issues even though the car looked great in the photos. The second car resulted in much better results and I purchased it. I have owned it for several months now without any issues. I think Marvins inspections really made the difference for me.
Marvins inspections are about the most detailed Ive seen. Weve had some great car conversations and his work is well done. They dont make them like this anymore.
A purist - they specialize in non SUV Porsches.
Excellent service. Marvin is detailed and extremely knowledgeable. Prices are also reasonable for the excellent quality.
Excellent. Marvin is a professional with a ocd level (like me) attention for detail. He will tell u exactly what your Porsche needs. Its ultimately up to u to get it done
This review is long over due, I took my car in for an oil change, and then received phone calls about the CV boot being split and that the brake pads needed replacing. Total about three thousands. My brother and I share the car, and in the back of my mind I remember him saying that he fixed the brakes within the last year and since we drive the car very little it raised a flag in my head, told Marvin I was taking the car and going somewhere else. he kept saying how without the CV boot that I could potentially break the axle. I brought it to William Michael (love these guys!!) and they told me that the CV Boot wasnt split but had in fact been CUT!! Brakes didnt need replacing either.a serious crook.
Have been a customer of TheRennShop since 2009. Other than some services with the dealers during new car warranty period, I always go back to Marvin. Marvin is the best Porsche guy, period. He takes time to explain everything. His work is meticulous and professional. With dealers, its hit and miss, depending on who you get - some dealers better odds than others but still a crap shoot. With indys, I have yet to find or hear of one where the proprietor, like Marvin, is still on top of every single thing. You will not be disappointed with theRennShop.
Best Porsche shop. Period
Excellent Porsche repair
