We usually go to the LomaBonita in Minneapolis on Central Ave and had no idea there were other locations. Being in St Cloud, this location is far more convenient to us! They have just about everything you could need or want. Definitely feels like being back in Phoenix when stepping in these stores. Thats a good thing when it comes to grocery shopping.

First time here over the weekend based on my friends recommendation. I have to be honest, I am not that into Mexican food, but I think I am going to start experiencing it more and more after this one experience. This is actually my first time ever going to the Mexican store, and I am super surprised. I dont know what to tell you instead of.....just stop by and check the place out. I ordered this sandwich and it was very tasteful.....I will be back!

This place is awesome!! The bakery has all manner of different types of pastries and the cakes. Try the tres leches, its wonderful.The grocery store part is small but overall has a great selection. The only store that actually has skirt steak.Personally I come for the takeout food, specifically the tacos!!! I promise you will not be disappointed if your in the mood for a plate of tacos. The Al pastor and Carne asada are my favorite.

Love this store, but they were out of Tortillas. No one exemt from delivery issues.

They have the greatest looking bakery area and they have whole cakes like the one in the picture or you can buy by the slice....the cake was awesomely delicious!!

I really love this store and I’m sad to leave a 4 star review instead of a 5. I’ve had many and mainly great experiences here, as well as amazing authentic Mexican food that reminds me of my Mexican mother’s cooking back home. However my last experience was very poor.I purchased carne arrachera and the only label there for this cut of meat said the price was $8.99 per pound. The butcher asked me if I wanted arrachera suave as they always do. I said yes, as I’ve always done. I take my meat to the cashier and the meat rang up at $12.99 per pound. I let the cashier know this price is wrong as the label clearly says $8.99 per pound. She said that we can go ask the butcher. And the butcher says for carne arrachera suave it’s $12.99 not $8.99. I let him know there’s no label that states the arrachera suave is $12.99 and the only label listed is $8.99. He said well we asked you if you wanted suave or not and we told you the price difference. I let him know that no one explained there’s a price difference and either way that’s not what the label says and there’s no label that says $12.99 at all. The guy who helped me said he forgot to tell me.. And another man who works in the butcher area said well he was supposed to tell you. Then asked me if I wanted the meat or not. I told them I wasn’t going to waste the meat at this point and I’ll still purchase it but requested that they please put the correct label and other workers gathered to listen. He rolled his eyes at me.I really don’t have a problem paying for the meat at this price. I don’t have a problem with them forgetting to tell me if the meat is a different price if it’s suave. My problem with this situation is how it was handled. In my opinion very rudely.On top of everything... I’ve come to this store about 20 times since they’ve opened. So has my family. And I’ve never seen a different price for the arrachera suave. There’s never been a different label. Just makes me sad to think that in the future I will have to be extra careful with my purchases here. Perhaps I’m wrong and this is something new they began doing and that’s why he forgot to tell me. Again, I truly do love this store and it’s authenticity. But I did not like the customer service I received this day. Maybe they were having a bad day. But just wanted to write a review as they made me feel so stupid and caused a scene for other customers to hear and involved many different workers when it could have been such an easy resolution to just apologize.

I took a vacation in Texas and stopped at the most wonderful bakery. Coming back to Minnesota I never thought I would be able to experience those amazing pastries again, until my son told me about this place. AMAZING and DELICIOUS!!! So glad I found this little store. It’s super clean and the employees are wonderful.

The store felt very similar to Dollar General (different merchandise though).Positives: They have a wide variety of baked goods for sale. The bread I bought was fresh and delicious. There is also alot of different items for sale. One could come back many times to try them out. The store seemed clean from first glance.Negatives: The prices are not very clearly marked. Some items have no price listed at all. Therefore it can be a gamble on how much your total bill will be. There also seems to be an over emphasis on sweets. There were a couple of aisles dedicated specifically go pop and candy. Also the bakery section was almost entirely confectionery.Overall, Ill be back for the bread and the occasional pop.

Ive been in this store a number of times, not realizing I could place a custom order to go. The food from there was fabulous! Ordered tomales, tacos and tostadas. Portions were large, and tasted so good! Cant walt to go back!!

I am so glad we finally have a Mexican mercado in our area. Just walk in and enjoy the smells. Decent prices and good merchandise. Definite must shop if you know your Mexican dishes.

Truly a beautiful store that has happy and kind employees who seem to enjoy being there. The tamales were absolutely delicious! I told my husband that I wanted to visit every day just to try a new pastry since there was so many wonderfully handcrafted options. This a great addition to Monticello that I hope lasts for many years.

This is hands down the best hole in the wall mexican food in monticello. The alpastor tacos here are legendary. Just walk in to the back by the butchers section and youll find a peice of authentic Mexican goodness. The staff is friendly and the kitchen is well run with talented people.

The most real mexican store worth the drive to have real food

This store is an A+. The hot and fresh tamales are amazing. There is a great selection of meats and pastries. Dont forget to visit the back corner. I almost missed it the first time. There is fresh guac, salsas, cheese, creams, and frozen food. I have to say, we were in Mexico recently and my wife and I love al pastor tacos. The tacos we make at home with the al pastor meat from the meat department is hands down the best al pastor tacos Ive ever had. See picture. All I added was an onion, bell pepper and some cactus. No additional seasoning or tricks. Perfecto.

There are a variety of products, especially meats for Latin food menu, excellent tamales, but their opening hours on their page and posters differ from the real one because they close before 9:00 p.m. when they specify that they close at 9:30 p.m.

You need to put a price on most products .. it is uncomfortable to constantly ask.

They sold me the wrong piece and when I went to get it exchanged or my money back, they told me they couldnt because of COVID even though the mistake was yours, not mine.Very bad at serving the customer. That pure owner steal!Apart from the fact that when they sold me the menudo was frozen, it was 5 pounds, when I went to return it it was defrosted and I only weighed 2 pounds, they charged me 3 pounds of frozen water and they did not incarnate.I never leave reviews but now they have been abused and for not fulfilling what the client asks for, pure stealing.

Very bad experience and I do not recommend this shop to anyone for cakes.I ordered a 3 milk cake with extra milk and it was very bad, very dry, it seemed like it was old days before and like a sponge 🧽 without any flavor, Im sure it was not a fresh cake.I dont know why they sell cakes 🍰 that are no longer fresh and they sell them as if they were.For some time I used to buy on the hill of savage and they were very rich but here in Monticello they are very bad.first and last time I buy ahy. And I do not recommend it. !!!!
