Worst staff ever... basically incompetent. The management must not care about an inadequate cashier or a store full of customers. We’re standing in a 20 minute with 20 customers... no back up cashier and she’s going through every item to try and discount items she should have done before ringing up and bagging the items for the lone customer she was able to accommodate during this time frame. Corporate should run the video on this date from 4:20 to 4:40 to see how ridiculous today was...

Unfortunately experienced the lacking customer service that the store manager Raul has. Too bad for his store, since that resulted in a $1K+ sale. As for HF, they were lucky to keep my money since another location has an excess of what this one lacks. Have shop at this particular location over a dozen of times, just this year. Not a single time more from now on.

Great variety of items. Tools whether for automotive, electrical, plumbing, building, or around the house tasks, are on every aisle. I really like that they have very reasonable priced tools, worth buying if only used occasionally, and also higher priced, more durable items for those who use them daily. I didnt catch the cashiers name, but she was fantastic. Definitely recommend the Montclair store.

Great variety of products but service is lacking!It was my first time here and I was shopping for an oil extractor, and I saw one bolted down with zip ties so I asked a cashier if Id be able to purchase it.They were out of boxes and so I assumed that the display unit was a unit for sale, and that it was secured by a zip tie as an anti-theft measure.The woman helping me made me feel like I was an alien from outer space! Id rather place my purchase online, in the future.

Great customer service the gentleman didnt forget about me ordering a motorcycle jack .and called me that that jack was in for pick up. But sorry to experience that he had a long line and employee was said something bad to him in front of me and my 14 year old daughter. Which I had to explain to her after that that gentleman need help and he was right. And that that lady employee was wrong saying a bad thing to him in front of a customer. That is not good for her and us as customer service.

They had what I wanted in stock and at a good price.

Harbor freight has great tools and not overpriced. They have just about everything that you need and more. Whats a big plus about harbor freight is they are very helpful. The bigger chains are not helpful at all.

I can always find something here and that evening I was looking for a long neck lock for a 53 trailer for my husband. They dont carry those, but I did find a heavy duty lock that the neck was just long enough to work, on sale, and still was able to apply a coupon to! YAY! Only at Harbor Freight!!

Harbor freight has lifetime warranty on their tool. Different type of quality tool and tool set but with warranty. Extended warranty on electric tool its wonderful. Any defect with electric tool, exchange with no problem. Especially if the receipt has been email or stowed digitally. If you loose your receipt, exchange can be done by looking up the phone number. If you pay (cash) with out giving phone number hold on to the receipt some harbor freight will give a hassle. But this harbor freight in Montclair no hassle or problem. Highly recommended customer friendly

Usually have everything in stock . Pretty small store but they carry a lot ! Friendly staff, never have to wait long in line even when the lines are to the back of the store.

Nice place to go shopping for tools went to because of the free coupon but was told that it was while supplies last, but it doesn’t say any where in the coupon that’s it’s while supplies last ( STOP FALLS ADVERTISING) harbor freight stand up to your free coupons don’t just make people go and get nothing.

Theres cheap and good stuff here. Lots of good deals. They also have a lot of stuff too like you can find a lot of different things, so thats really cool. Its very hard for me not to spend all my money there which is on me probably.

Im rating this based on a recent visit. The clerk seemed stressed out about checking us out and discussing the way we could use our coupons. The manager was in the booth right next to him and although we asked for him to help us out he didnt even give us the time of day. Neither the clerk or the cashier were very helpful or nice for that matter. The place is just way to busy during this Pandemic and they all seemed stressed and simply apathetic and uncaring.

I love Harbor Freight. Its the first store I visit when I need a tool. Its the go to place for the diy craftsman, gardener, etc.

They cram a good amount of things into the store, but sadly they had neither a higher quality option nor a single size option to suit my need for a 30mm deep socket. However, Im still satisfied they did have one in a set and the set was priced well, especially after my 20 percent off coupon worked. Some things are only found online, so checking there when in doubt is a good plan.

I came in to look at purchasing their new Icon series tool box as I live just 10 minutes from this store. Found several problems at this store. 1. I found it very difficult to locate anybody who could help me. 2. When I finally did, this associate and from the looks of things no other associate knew anything about these tool boxes, (lack of training). 3. When I asked about their financing options (to which he had to ask the manager), I was told that they thought their system was not able to handle my application and that I would have to apply online. Seriously???needless to say I walked out of that store and drove all the way to San Dimas to make my purchase. Whole different experience there! If youre looking to make a serious purchase at Harbor Freight, dont go to this store!

Its amazing!! they donate all their gloves so they have none for their customers so they can get a tax write-off. then when they decide to get some for the customers they doubled the price to make up for the ones they gave away that theyre getting a tax break on!!! And stating its because of a shortage. I dont mind the donating what I do mind is them getting a tax break and charging us double!!

Today customer service was great I was asking about generators a gentleman at the store when I was checking out really helped me out a lot with all kinds of questions thank you Harbor freight for having great customer service

Martha from this location was super helpful. She took the time to explain all of the great deals Harbor Freight was offering and I ended up making more purchases than I intended to without breaking the bank.

Staff was able to hold a workbench that was on sale for me. Unlike other HFT in the surrounding areas, the staff here are able to answer questions and they have basic knowledge of what they are selling.

Hard to find. Tools seem low-quality. We were sold a dented tool chest that was so damaged it wouldnt stack. When we called the store about it they didnt have any more in stock to exchange nor could they see if other HF stores in the area had them.

Great place to buy tools, and other items. I bought an impact driver, to use on the stabilizing jacks in my travel trailer. Worked well.

Some of those people have been there for years, and everyone is really friendly and helpful, mote than youd expect and more than you get at most places. I appreciate that the CEO decided to shorten hours so that employees could have family time

I wanted some of the disposable gloves that were in the ad. I looked EVERYWHERE to no avail. There wasnt any workers on the floor that I could question. I stood in a long but moving line. I asked the cashier about the gloves, I was told that if they had them it wouldbe on isle 1 toward the back on the left. Since I had already scoured the store, there were none to be found.I cant say the cashier was helpful, She spoke to us but seemed more interested in getting through with us so she could get to the next customer so she could get through.

I come to this store when I need a tool I know I wont use a lot or a tool that it doesnt matter the brand of.Always remember to check the website or your junk mail pile before heading in you can get coupons and save a lot off anything in the store.The store is very small but it has a ton of useful products. Shop for just remember that some of the tools wont be the best for heavy duty work.

There is a little of everything here. It is not world class quality but it is very affordable. Employees are great at hiding. Luckily the store is not too big so if you stick to it, you will find it.

Reasonable prices and a lot of coupons

Good hardware shop at good prices. Some REALLY good prices. Good sales. Good place for gloves, safety gear (knee/elbow pads etc.). Good place for nitrile gloves. Several different thicknesses and sizes.

U get a good low price on everything there.

Great place for cheap replaceable tools but sometimes you find amazing gems. Do not buy the knee pads, they dont last the week.
