Sorry but not, to say we were so disappointed, it was out first date night out in months. We went to Crossroads Diner. Theres no sign saying to seat yourself so we stood there finally a waitress told us to be seated.. She came over asked what we wanted to drink then left.. Brought out 3 ppls order then our drinks she came back 10 min later to get our order. First I ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. Then I ordered a tea with grilled chops w/ Mac& cheese corn bites and a roll. Mark is a diabetic and they had NO diet drinks only unsweetened tea, he ordered Country fried steak with gravy&pot. and a roll We waited about 20 min. Before the pickles come out, then about 5 min. Later the meal came. The pickeld tasted like they were deep fried in OLD OIL. My chops were so thin I couldnt cut them, they gave me a butter knife and fork to eat with but I couldnt cut them. The only thing really worth what we paid was my Mac/cheese oh and my tea. But he said his steak and gravy was like a tv dinner and said his ff tasted like old oil too. We had to ask where the restroom was bc theres no sign. All together it was $47. Oh I got a quesadilla to go, it was $9.99 plus tax it was 4 small pieces. The ppl werent so friendly either except we noticed to ppl they knew. Oh BTW be prepared to wear a coat bc they didnt even have no heat on guess ppl that came there before knew to bc everyone had theirs on and kept their coats on.. regrettably we will not go back!!!
Im so happy we stopped here! The food was incredible! I had the fish plate and it reminded me of Pat & Micks when I was a kid. The double cheeseburger was exactly what my bf was craving, and my daughter really enjoyed it too. The desserts were amazing!! We had the fried cheesecake which was delicious, but the apple cobbler will be what we come back for. I have never had cobbler better than my mothers, but this place did it.As wonderful as the food was, the customer service was even better. It felt like going to see an old friend. I highly recommend stopping in after checking out the little antique/farmers market shop right by it.
I was hungry I didnt know the area so I Google restaurants and Crossroads Diner popped up. Shelby and Brook as soon hit the door made me feel welcomed. I ordered the hamburger steak with brown gravy onions and peppers green beans and macaroni and cheese & cornbead. The tea was good and I got so full I needed to be rolled out in a wheel barrel🤣
Ate there one week, great food and got a dessert.Stopped in two weeks later to grab dessert. Was a 15 minute wait for a smaller portion and double the cost.I was a fool for leaving them a tip after all that.As good as the dessert was, the food wasnt and the staff was more worried about getting their tips out of the drawer than handling customers
Absolutely the best service I could have imagined. We had a party of 18 and they handled us with 1 server!!!!!! Amazing effort and all of the food came out perfect. Definitely coming back here!!!

Fantastic local dining experience. Wonderful service, clean dining room, delicious food! I have been looking at this place for a couple years now wondering if its good. I happen to have a moment to stop and saw the parking lot was full today so I pulled right in. I ordered the chicken ciabatta sandwich along with some green beans and some corn nuggets. I could have eaten six bowls of corn nuggets they were so delicious. I really wasnt expecting too much from the chicken ciabatta sandwich considering its a diner type place, but it was so fantastically delicious I couldnt stop eating it. The bread was pretty good, the bacon had a great taste, and even when I tasted the chicken alone without all the stuff on it, it had a wonderful flavor.This place does have handicap accessible entrance with a large ramp to get in. The parking is limited in the front but it looks to be that there is some parking on the side as well. I would say get here early because it was packed on a Friday at lunch. I cant wait to try breakfast next time!

It was not good and too expensive!Service was great, but we waited over an hour for our food (hour and 14 minutes when they werent crowded at all) ... The Chicken and Dumplings, Green Beans and Macaroni & Cheese were the worst! My husband disliked his meal as well (Philly Cheese Steak).$43 with tip. Wont be coming back.

Small family style restaurant on the side of the road. The wings were pretty good the pickle ships were great and the Brunswick stew was tasty. If youre in there on Saturdays get the prime rib as the special not the steak that was the only part that wasnt good and it was definitely the most expensive.

An oasis of home cooked food in country North Carolina. The apple cobbler is really apple bread pudding and fantastic! The friendly servers say the chocolate cake is even.much better...if youre tired of chain restaurants try it!

This is some serious country style home-cooking. This small establishment feels like sitting at grandmas. They stay busy and the waitresses dont seem restricted to zones or areas, like youd find at a big chain. If your drink is low, the first person to walk by is going to stop and ask you if youd like a refill or theyll come straight back with another. The food is good, portions average.

First time stopping by, the dining room was very clean. I ordered a small pork BBQ plate, frankly I was expecting a pulled pork BBQ plate it was not pulled it was more like finely chopped processed pork. The slaw, hush puppies, and french fries were good.

Best Tangy teriyaki sauce EVERAWESOME garlic, butter, lemon sauce on their wings. The wings are deep fried, which is an acquired taste (no breading). The sauces are SO good that I could eat WAY more chicken wings (...if my traveling companions were not already in the car, LOL)!Now Ill be looking for excuses to go toward Charlotte!

Uh yummm! Good delcious down home cooking. Stopped here on our way to Leland. The BBQ, and sides were delicious. Sweet tea was perfect, but probably our favorite thing was the hot chocolate cake, and scoop of icecream at the end. My family fought over the last bite and I liked the bowl clean!!
When my significant other and I moved down the road from the diner a year and a half ago we visited frequently. In fact, we were greeted as Saturday morning regulars and often brought family and friends. Unfortunately, the last time we ordered take away we sat up front for 20 minutes before they realized our food had been sitting up there all along. We were willing to give them another chance and they next time we ordered take away the SAME THING happened. We waited 15-20 minutes only to find out oops its been here this whole time...when we got home the fries and food were soggy and cold. Weve also noticed a significant increase in their pricing and pay $20-30 for a two person lunch without drinks-ouch! A few weeks have gone by and I called today to place a pick up order...with high hopes that theres no way something could go wrong again. When I asked my options for sides I was told all of the sides are available...still upset and unresolved from the last two orders I decided to hang up and wipe my hands of this place. We will not be returning due to the steep decline in customer service and incline in pricing.

The menu is traditional for a real country style restaurant. Service is prompt and friendly without pretense. City folk are welcome.
It would be beneficial to the restaurant to keep consistent hours of operation and stick to it. They keep changing the hours almost monthly. Now they dont serve breakfast any more.

Best fried chicken Ive had since my Nannys (Grandmother), I never thought anybody could fry chicken as good as she could...this is exceptional! Worth the drive if youre not a local.
