Years ago we took one of our cars to a place in Charlotte because they were on the list from our insurance company. We ended up having to bring it to Gerber in Monroe, NC to get it fixed, and have the paint match-up correctly. Ever since, we have used Gerber. We have used them several times over the past couple decades, and have been happy. They work directly with Allstate well, taking most of the legwork away from us. If parts need to be ordered, they schedule the drop off day. So, your car is not sitting on their lot unnecessarily. They have been really good on completion time estimates. Faith, the lady that runs the office, is friendly and professional. She even let us leave the rental car there with her to take care of. Danny, the estimator, was also friendly and quick to get back to me. He even hooked me up with a small touch-up paint bottle to address some chips, when I asked him about it. Well, the most important thing is how the car looks once the repairs have been made, right? Its perfect! They had to replace the front bumper and and a quarter panel. The plastic rivets are all in place and snug in the wheel wells, and the red paint matches perfectly! I had no complaints with this recent repair, and none with any of our previous repairs. My car was in an accident and brought to the shop. Communication from the woman at the front desk, Faith, called me promptly to let me know what steps I needed to take to get the car to the shop from the city tow. Another day she called me while I was getting checked out from hitting my head during the crash. When I stopped by the shop that day to sign the release, she was very kind about asking how I was feeling. My collision repair was a bit complex and there needed to be a lot of communication between my insurance company and Danny and Nate. As we communicated, both of these men became trusted advisors to me during the process. They took the time to show me the various ways in which the vehicle had sustained damage and the various items that needed repair. They reassured me that they would only make repairs if they knew the car would be just as safe as it was pre-collision. Although my vehicle ended up being a total loss, I have to say that I truly had an amazing experience with the folks at Gerber. I am extremely grateful to each of the team members I interacted with. Though I hope to never need their services again, I know that if I do I will be in good hands. Thanks everyone!
I was super satisfied with the services that were provided. They fixed my truck on time and made it look brand new. When a wire disconnected from the back up camera, I brought it back the next day they fixed it immediately. As a USAA member I am glad this company is close by because I will be using them in the future if a need arises. The company and the employees are excellent!

They did a good job on my vehicle, no problems there. Sat for a week before the parts came in, so I payed for a weeks rental when I didnt need to. They used my vehicle to haul cardboard off. Thats a no no in my book. Office Staff was great.

Absolutely worst place of business I have ever worked with. Had my vehicle for 7 weeks and still could not fix vehicle but charged my insurance and myself over 2300 for the work. Gerber even paid 4 times to put me in a rental bc they continued to “try to fix it”. This is a repair shop how do you not know how to fix it? Took it to dealership and was told Gerber replaced my axial with the wrong size and part. Broke additional parts on my car as a result. District managers response was your cars problem is not my problem??????? So they were paid to fix it, didn’t fix it, but that’s not there problem????? Got it. I’ve had to hire an attorney and pay another establishment to fix the original repair and the additional damage done by Gerber. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS BUSINESS.

With a plethora of collision repair facilities in Monroe, NC I am confident I made the right choice by choosing Gerber. When I arrived at the Monroe facility I previously had gotten quotes from two other shops. After talking with Daniel and Jessie I knew there was no reason to stop at another shop. Both Daniel and Jessie were courteous, friendly, and well informed, so I opted to have them repair my vehicle.Heres the great part of my story...I dropped the car off at 7:30 on Monday morning and it was ready to go before noon the following day.Hoping I will never need their services again, I can guarantee that if I do Gerber in Monroe will be my first and only stop.

A deer hit my Hyundai Genesis Coupe Oct 6 on I-485. I so hoped my car could be repaired, but alas it is totaled per insurance. During this time, Daniel and the staff of Gerber have been kind and professional with me. They have done so much to search far and wide for the parts needed to repair my car. Their estimate for repairs was less than what the adjuster quoted. They get nothing for all their efforts so a review for all of you to read is the least I can do for them. If youre in need of body work for your vehicle, I highly recommend you give them a call.

Do not have any body work done at Gerber Collision in. Monroe, NC! You will have to pay again to have it done right by someone else who knows what they are doing!I own a Jeep Commander and I was involved in a minor fender bender in August of 2018. I decided to have the repairs done at Gerber Collision in Monroe since I have had work done there before the shop was sold to Gerber. They did get the work done in a timely manner albeit a few days later than was originally scheduled and the workmanship appeared to be good when I picked up the car. However, 4 months later, I notice a very large section ( Approximately 8” X 8”) of paint peeling off of the front bumper in sheets!I took the vehicle back to them since the work is “supposedly” guaranteed. When I spoke to the young lady at the front desk, she immediately pulled the paper work and sheepishly said: “ Oh! This was done by Larry. He no longer works here.” I got the impression that this “Larry” guy had been a problem for the company. She looked at the bumper and then went inside to get one of the assistant managers to take a look. When entering his office, she again said to the manager: “This was done by Larry.” To which the assistant manager said: “oooh” confirming the original sentiment expressed by the young lady at the front desk.The assistant manager then came out to look at the paint peeling from the bumper. He looked for several minutes, stood up, looked around and said: “This bumper has been hit”. He pointed to an area at the far side of the peeling paint, that, if someone completely ignorant of paint damage were to look at, might appear as minute scuff marks on the paint, not scratched, just very slight creases, but in reality, these were not scuff marks but folds in the peeling paint itself from blowing in the wind! He also pointed out a tiny surface gouge in the surface of the plastic of the bumper. I told him that that was probably done before the paint work was done. The bumper has never been hit or scuffed. When the mechanics are working on pieces such as this they are not always very gentle when moving the parts around. I know, I’ve worked in many different body shops over the years! It was totally obvious that the piece has not been prepared properly before the paint was applied.He then said that he would have the manager give ma a call as he was not working that day. Several days go by and I hear nothing from them. So, I drive to their office and speak to the manager. The Manager, Kyle, pulled up the notes taken by his assistants from my previous visit and came out to take a look. He did basically the very same thing that his assistant manager had done and told me verbatim exactly what I was told previously. I began to explain to him of my many years in the paint and body industry in the hopes that he would realize that he was not dealing with a typical ignorant “general” customer. To no avail. Instead, he went into the office and found a dry rag with which to wipe away the water droplets ( it was raining) to try and find other damage that he could blame on me and the failure of his work. He found none. He continued to raise arguments regarding heat from being hit as the cause of the peeling paint. He danced around every conceivable excuse and argument that he could come up with. To the point where it became laughable to hear him! He absolutely refused to accept the argument that I was presenting regarding insufficient prep work. He had absolutely no concern for the value of customer service. Rather, his only objective was to defend himself in order to get out of taking care of his responsibility. And, unfortunately, that is exactly what he did. He flat out refused to acknowledge that there might just possibly be a bit of legitimacy to my argument and told me to take it up with my insurance company and walked away.So, there you have it. Word of warning: If you want a good job done on your car, keep it far, far away from Gerber Collision in Monroe, NC.

Im not going to give them a Bad Review !!! Only a few suggestions on how to conduct a professional service to your customers!!!! My Daughter bought her car there in hope of Repair to a Damaged tire and Rim and ended up wasting a who week of waiting on parts that came in Badly Defective or not arriving when promised!!!! What you have to Remember as a Business is that customers are looking for 100% Quality and service when they come to you bc your getting paid to provide that so therefore its your sole Responsibility to make sure you can Guarentee just that!!!! The last thing a customer wants to hear is excuses to why you cant get the job completed and bc of that it will cause the customer to seek other services, in this particular situation with my Daughter!!! She was put in a position of waiting on items that arrived Badly Damaged, and then waiting on items that Didnt arrive when promised!!!! Not one but three times and then there was no Guarantee that when it Did arrive it would be in satisfactory condition no one wants to Do Business that way. they would like to know that the service that the Body shop is getting paid for is going to be ( Fast, Friendly, 100% Quality and work!!!!!
