Honestly I do come in once or twice a week. But there is 2 issues about this place (1)the place need to stop ignoring customers I have been at the register and the cashier is on her cell phone comadrando.((ALWAYS CHECK YOUr receipt she over charges because shes in a hurry))😡 (2) this place is not to dirty but needs a wipe down and a very good mop. I will still go there tho

First time here to buy al pastor meat for tacos. Hands down the worst taco meat Ive ever had. Absolutely no flavor to be found from the marinade and way too much gristle. Ruined my day.

This butcher Shop · Specialty Grocery Store · Restaurant is a gem in North Modesto. They have seafood, meats, pre-seasoned meat cuts, salsa, groceries, a good selection of panderia... they also serve food to go from rice, beans, burritos.Theyre burritos are really good - their meats are well seasoned. I dare say its better than some of the taco trucks I have tried.You can call in your order. If you dont speak Spanish, ask for someone who speaks English.

Delicious! La Reyna is a local carniceria with a newly opened taqueria adjacent to the store.. I recently ordered pre-cooked trays of carne asada and pollo for for my sons college graduation party- we set up our own taco bar and it was the best! The ladies at the market were so helpful in helping me with my order to accommodate my party and the price was very reasonable. I also ordered trays of beans and rice which were so flavorful! My guests kept going back for 2nds and 3rds and complimenting the food. In addition, we were supplied with more than enough tortillas, cilantro, onions, and green and red salsas for the tacos. Im so glad we had leftovers to enjoy after the party! Its great to have a local carniceria with excellent quality meats. Thank you La Reyna for making my sons party a success! We will definitely be back!

I am not one to write reviews but this has already been too much..the cashiers have never smiled gave good customer service and I have been overcharged because I was not paying with cash. On a different day I was charged twice for one item, I looked at my receipt and went back in line and asked what was $33 she quickly said I charged you twice. Beware when you go here not to get overcharged for something we are supposed to be helping each other not taking advantage.

Staff is always friendly no matter what time of day we go. The meat is always fresh and they have great cheese selection as well as the own salsa and guacamole in case you feel lazy like me. Its a small little store but it beats going to larger supermarkets and getting prepackaged meat. My go to place.

I try to go to yesterday at 7:30 PM they were already close.. Their hours online say they close at 8 PM, it would be considerate if they can update their hours correctly to show the correct hours what time they really open and close, that way if I have to I can take my business elsewhere

Absolutely love this place! Been in Modesto for over a year and I regret that I havent been coming here sooner. The staff are all outstanding and super nice. Definitely my new go to place for better cuts of meat. Kudos to everyone that works there.

The store had flies going around the store and onto the exposed food . The produce was not fresh at all . Also, the staff are not very friendly or helpful even when I speak Spanish as well. The pricing is definitely expensive for a meat market. I recommend going to crows landing meat markets instead of this one .

I recommend the al pastor from the butcher. Just cook it up with some tortillas and a side and you have dinner or lunch.

Great little locally owned Mexican market. They have a nice Selection of meats, Our favorite is the carnea asada or the chicken already seasoned and chopped into bite size pieces. At the counter you can also order fresh tacos and burritos. Ive havent ordered from any food yet but every time I go into the market theres always people picking up their lunch!

They cool. Meats really good. Salsas good too but today it was really watery and bland. The canned stuff is overpriced and there was some dust on it but thats not what you go to a place like this for. As for the north side this is the only spot where you can get quality chorizo and all the other prepared meats. Havent had them cook for me yet but it smells good. I tried the Mexican bread today and that was on point too. So the only reason they get 4 stars is for the salsa mishap and the stock not being rotated enough.

Its nice having it so close to home I just wish they would have more of a soda selection so I dont have to go to 2 different stores

This place i went once n once only will i go..i brought 3 lbs of small ribs they where prepared ready to bbq..n when i open them to cook all of them where FAT no meat all NASTY Fat.. Its a SHAME i paid $18 dlls for Fat i didnt even give them to my dogs thats how BAD them ribs where..when u have a bad experience at a local store u dont go back..😞😞 I wish i can post a picture of the ribs so yall can see 👀the FAT..

La Reyna is a very new taqueria and carniceria. The meats looked fresh and better than most supermarkets and have some nice-looking fish too. The first two times I went into La Reyna, the taqueria was not open yet; just the mercado.I hope La Reyna does well. .

Nice people but they definitely have taken advantage of the fact that a huge amount of there clientel is non hispanic. Prices on there asada is $8 per pound which is ridiculous. They would never get away with this in a Hispanic neighborhood. They are gouging the folks that are not aware of what preparada should be sold for. Save a bunch of $$$ and drive a bit and head over to Crowslanding where prices are reasonable. Also Ive been there multiple times and they almost never have guacamole.
