Well...its Wal-Mart. Its always busy and parking sucks. Most of the time inventory and pricing are around the best. Generally the staff are nice, at this particular store I feel like they are less attentive. The store could be cleaner and more organized. Its my once a month store.

I shop the decent Garden and outdoor plant selection when my husband is shopping next door at Turner’s. Found a nice exotic succulent priced less than what I had eyed elsewhere. You can also sometimes find plants at a fraction of the cost in their clearance section. I have an outdoor plant I purchased 4 yrs ago that is now roughly 6-7 ft tall, vibrant, and healthy. Aside, from garden we generally only shop their outdoors’ selection and have purchased a couple of annual fishing licenses. Overall, I am not a big Walmart fan but this location happens to be conveniently located next to Turner’s when my husband shops gun supplies.

Busy, but quick service, employees were friendly and attentive to getting carts into the loading area for entering customers rather than having to be chased down and asked about the status of carts being brought in like most Walmart stores in Reno, NV.This is not a supermarket though, so the item supply is shorter than the blue Walmarts this is a Wal-market, and their grocery item of veggies and fruits is very limited. Otherwise, worth the visit for quick shopping trips or people visiting town and looking for fast items to use at their hotel.

Its a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in you get a friendly greeting from the employees you get a total throw back on the movie rental experience and they have movie memorabilia and some great souvenir I say support Blockbusters Last Stand

I give this walmart 1 star given you cant go lower. The reasons of is because. Even though they are enforcing a mask mandate given to them by the county. They are not allowing people in without a mask. Now that isnt my issue. You should obey all laws of the land even if you dont agree. My complaint goes if you as a business are enforcing the mandatory mask mandate. But allowing you to take off your mask in the store makes it senseless to enforce. So when I came into the store no mask I put them on when asked due to the mandate. While walking around I see people alot of people not wearing mask so I go back to the greeter and ask was the mandate only to enter the store or while shopping. Apparently it is only to enter the store because the employee stated that its to enter the store whatever people choose to do after is on them. So I asked what is the point of having a mandate in your store if your employees arent enforcing the mandate.

Prefer target! Also no where seems to have unsweetened soy milk these days. Also there were no 12mo calendars!! Pooh! Back to amazon...

Nice Walmart they had alot of clearance clothes come up 🤑 and Nintendo Switch.

The Afternoons during a game of Baseball, with friends and hotdogs. Cant get better.

I like it because it is located close to me. Their service representatives are courageous, and helpful. The prices are reasonable.

No good. BIG RIP OFF.. Went in and found the dvds on sale. They have multiple packaged sets.I pick up Rush Hour 1, 2 and 3. Missing the Rush Hour 1.Clint Eastwoods collection volume 1 four dvd set.The Mule, American Sniper, Grand Torino and Sully. It was missing Sully.The Smokey and the Bandit trilogy. Three dvd set. You guessed it. Missing the first movie out of the three. Thats BS.

What I like about this Wal-Mart is that they have a very different selection of clothes than the one in Patterson where I live. Im not saying the selection is better or worse.....its just different....also they have a different selection of toys and frozen/fresh foods...being from San Jose originally I understand that different areas cater to different markets but I wouldnt think it would be this drastic between Modesto and Patterson!

This Walmart opens at 6am. I walk in at 7:11 and I had to wait 23 minutes for someone to find someone to find a key to the hair dryers…..So I can get ready for work!!!SUGGESTION…..When you open, make sure associates in that department already have keys to that department!!! This should have been a quick 5 minute in & out. I had already priced and picked put the dryer online!Absolutely ridiculous and unorganized!

Its a great place for shopping I really like the staff no matter how bad it gets for them and customers are rude to them they still put on an amazing smile and make you feel comfortable great job Walmart employees keep up the great work

This particular Walmart has some special cashiers and employees, theres only 2 to 3 lines open with lines of customers waiting, none of the floor employees will help you they either claim not their department, or ignore you. Most of them are rude, angry and act annoyed to be there..Its over crowded, kids not being watched by parents and their security guards would make a great team for a bumbling comedy act...Ceres Walmart is nicer.

Work want help you at all when you go in the Store looking for your product is hard when workers wont even help you while you at your store some workers at like they are mad at the Customers they need help at that Store please look into it that would make your Customers happy please Thankyou.

Always find what Im looking for except for masks and food but overall always find what I need. So 4 star rating because they need to hire more people. They only had one register open and then the self checkout.

I used to love Walmart it used to be a very good stovery good store you can find anything there nowadays the place sucks. Was there yesterday morning waited waited for days for for razors, spray paint, and other things that were locked up I left without getting a single one of them all the employees were just talking nobody would help Time for me to cut ties with Walmart

I usually find what Im looking for at this store. They usually have decent prices. I just dont like how packed it can be sometimes. They have gotten a lot better with there clothes styles for women. Shop there when your on a budget.

This is a very busy Walmart on Plaza Parkway in Modesto Ca. There is lots of parking and security patrols the area. The store is clean and usually you can find what your looking for. Staff is always polite and help full. Great store open till 10 pm

Associates are very nice at this particular Walmart. They are Remodeling the store it took me a lot of time to find what I was looking for....a bit frustrating. They have down sized the merchandise they have on the shelf. If you can believe it the aisles are even smaller than before.

I always have a good time at this field, staff is great good refereeing today. And great bunch of people out there having fun. Be sure to hit on I sure and have yourself a great time, peace out, take care and be safe👈😎👉

Its a decent place but if you need to get in and out quickly dont come here. Guarantee 15 minute wait in line and for some reason the self checkout arbitrarily accepts cash and doesnt.

I went in at around 8pm on a sat evening. I was taken aback by the lack of employee presence. It felt like the store was just customers because everywhere you looked you had people standing next to locked doors wanting to buy something but literally almost getting frustrated to the point of just going home minus cart full of stuff. But I took a deep breath and continue on.I go to check out and 2 registers are going along with self checkout. Lines everywhere of people just standing. Seriously open registers get your customers in and out happy as possible.. lastly invest in more shopping carts cause the lack of shopping carts at the establishment is a joke no need to say anymore on that I mean come on..

On this day the store was just in kaos., bathroom in back was broke . Product all over sales floor and nd only two registers open. Not very friendly.

Horrible customer service. I have a handicap and they didn’t have no shopping carts available so the attendant asked me to go out and get my own shopping cart from the parking lot where I couldn’t find an available.

Its Walmart. The checkouts in here have issues. I have had to walk away without goods more than once. Easiest is to setup the app on your phone and add your credit card manually to that account. You then pay with phone with a QR code at the register, issue workaround complete. This ones super busy and often customers leave stuff on the isles in shambles.

Too crowded and masks are not enforced!!!! There is a huge raise in cases and people dying again from covid19 and this place all they want is to make money!!? Big corporations dont give a dime about health and safety of the people starting with their employees! SMH 😒

They didnt have what I was looking for but to my surprise the boating dept had stuff that I had on another list. The Associates here are super friendly and helpful !!!! The parking lot is extremely small for a Wal-Mart and dirty.

Good place to shop for snacks,drinks,clothing,electronics,toys,garden things,things used in bathroom and shower,body wash,body spray,shampoo,hair gel,toothpaste,toothbrush,toilet paper etc. and all different kinds.They have pharmacy in there where you can get prescriptions and they sell ALOT of over the counter medications etc. and everything sold in here is at a reasonable price and its one of the best places to shop cause they have everything that is needed everyday at home.

Like most walmarts, never change when looking or asking for assistance. Sometimes i find help from one or 2 employees willing to help. Yes they do have a wide variety of products, but some do break or just not well made. Got to be careful what you pay for, even if it means paying more for something better or it has a name brand.

Not the best looking or newest Walmart but it is a nice store. pro tip, If youre nice to the employees they will be nice back but more than often the employees are nice. With each and Every time I come to this Walmart I am greeted with a helpful smile. They have recently taken out the McDonalds that was inside but I do still love shopping here. I Especially miss the enormous M that you had to walk through. Oh the memories...Not everyones experience is the same but 50% of that experience is up to you.

Variety and fair prices most of the time. Four star service now that they quit offering 24hr store hours.. (Sam would not be pleased......)

No carts available. Inside the store there were carts loaded with merchandise that needed to be reshelved. I mean a lot of carts. Also, the person collecting the carts outside seemed to busy talking on his cell phone to collect the carts. Also, the store was very messy and dirty.

Walmart is always out of stock of everything. Anymore you have to order everything online cause its not available in the store

The thing that is very shocking is EVERY walmart, that has over 15 different cashier spots BUT... for some ODD reason. Theres only 3-4 cashiers available. Whats with the extras? Dont lie and say short on staff because i see a handful goofing around, with their thumbs up their rear. Replace those lazy employees. If that dont work, replace the manager. Because this routine has been going on for too long... I cant even shop here, because waiting for an hour to check out is ridiculous. Whats the point for those extra closed cashiers? That goes for every walmart, but atleast the walmart on Mitchell is WAY better. But this one.. Hell no.

Its Walmartdont expect much the staff is under paid over work and stressed and target is better ladies you wont have a dude unlock your lady items either maybe youll pay a bit more but youll actually be able to shop instead of standing around waiting for them to figure out where the key is so you can get something thats locked up which is basically EVERYTHING 0 and target employees are treated better so their happy

I needed a bulb for the drivers side headlight on my Ford Edge. I only had 15 min before closing when I walked in the door. The young woman and man that worked in Automotive was amazing. They both came to my assistance over and beyond what I ever expected. I was in and out of the store in 15 minutes and had the correct item for my car.

Rude older lady at the garden center register today. I had about 8 half dead plants from a rack that were clearanced at less than $2 each. Some had yellow clearance tags, most didnt but all were half dead and on the same rack. There were three of these racks. I mentioned to the lady who was already obviously annoyed before I ever got to her register, that some had no yellow tags but were on the same clearance racks. She barks, if theres no yellow tag then they arent on clearance. I stated my case, that they were all dying, and were on the same rack at the back of the garden section, on the clearance racks. I nicely asked to see a manager. The second I said that she started slamming my items down as she scanned them, then walked out in a huff to get a manager she saw walk by. In a cady tone of voice she called out her name. The manager came in and said basically the same thing. I again explained the scenario. The manager proceeded to explain that she wasnt making any money on those and couldnt mark em down... all that she said made no sense to me, nor did it address the problem. She missed the whole point about them being half dead and on the same rack. Perhaps a simple sign that said prices as marked would have helped. I left all but the three plants with yellow clearance tags. I was too annoyed at both women to go thru the racks and find the yellow tags. More, very typical poor service from Walmart in California.

I do a good amount of shopping here. If you need help. This isnt really the place to go. The employees are absolutely ridiculous... Needing something from a locked box is horrible. They take forever to respond. Last time I went, I needed something from a locked box. Waited for 10 minutes. And there were employees walking right passed us. Completely ignoring us. I almost lost my calm, honestly. It was disgusting.... But if you dont need any customer service AT ALL. Its an okay place!

Theyre good people they do their best and Im happy to get whatever I need done and its always a convenience to be able to find what I need and have help of the staff and get done for the day. Thank you for always helping

On my own, I found something that looked like it might work. Go to checkout. Only one checker, with a line. Took 1/2 hour to checkout. Ridiculous! They could do much better!

Didnt have what I wanted Shelfs empty

Ive been to and shopped at many Wal-Marts over the years...but this particular location on Sisk Road in Modesto was abnormal. There were ample available parking spots near the front door...the register wait time was almost non existent...and the staff was unusually NICE! And all of this occurred on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON! I know the things mentioned may not mean much for others, but as an avid shopper and father of 3, things like this makes a huge difference.

Super busy and one cashier not six feet apart very unfortunate they treat their customers last. Even feel sad for the one cashier the pressure of all the customers in line.

Sunday night, busy, most shelves were full, low on laundry aides, limited bottles of laundry soap. Produce was not a eye opener neither. The store was clean neatly picked upI noticed cashier cleaning after each customer. Masks a must..

None of the items that said they were in stock online or actually in stock waited in the toy department for over 30 minutes for someone to come and help us since they walk away most of the good toys now and you have to push a button for someone to come help you and when they get there they honestly do not even want to look and see if theres any more we were told there wasnt any more of a certain toy and then as soon as we walked off the aisle there was a box of them waiting to be unpacked and they never want to price Maps their own website in the clearance items never match up with the price they should be online there were no cream cart Illinoiss cleaning cart luckily would bring sanitizer and was able to clean it ourselves because we have little ones

12/24/2020 I was very hesitant to do any shopping on Christmas Eve. But this visit was great! All the aisles were clean, everything fully stocked and THERE WAS SO MANY CASHIERS.... Good job to the Modesto Walmart team!
