High prices without the quality to back it up. Can get the same stuff at a lower-priced grocery store, with more options on top. Theres one particular cashier thats obsessed with asking about my apartment and how much I like/dislike it. Not my topic of choice at the checkout.Three stars because it is relatively compact with reasonable layout and product options for the size of the store, plus a liquor store just behind it in the parking lot. This place is more about convenience than actual quality or good prices.

I was very disappointed with the sushi today the rice was so sticky that it would not separate from the other pieces therefore the sushi was falling apart. We ordered the Krispy krab roll and the spicy roll. I Love sushi but that was not good.

Happy im moving away from this Byerlys. Ive been comming here for 3 years now. One the only OKAY bakerys in town... a lady walked off with all the hot breakfast sandwiches(4) and when I asked to get one from behind the glass whom this person was stocking up couldnt get me a breakfast sandwich cause they dont open for another 12 minutes... im hungry so now yall wont be getting any more of my buissness. Good thing you have old ladies taking all the sandwiches to be a patron at this not very friendly, helpful, flavorless Byerlys:))) matter of fact I will stay away from all byerlys going forward. I hate this lunds for the simple fact I went there today to shop, but had to use the bathroom urgently, I asked the guy at the Caribou stand where the bathrooms were and he said they were on the 2nd floor but I needed a employee to let me in. And do you think I found ANY employees to help me? Nope! So I left and wont be back.

Besides a garden, this is the best place to go for fresh fruits and vegetables

Nice place but there is an employee named Jean, a 60 year old lady who is nonstop rude to all the customers. I had never run into her previously but she was so awful to us and then another customer told us “yeah she’s always like that.” No idea why management allows such awful behavior from an employee. What’s even more ridiculous is that the regulars know exactly how she is too.Otherwise, nice clean store, though at this point I’d rather walk a little further to go to Target.

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly helpful workers and they have a lot of cool grocery items you cant find elsewhere. Awesome delicious deli foods. I just wish they kept a better supply of the already boxed kale chicken salad. Love it and the last few times they didnt have anymore.

Sometimes, prices are a little higher. But its convenient, and clean. That makes up the difference when you only grab a couple items

The store is clean and well-organized. However, if I choose to wait a couple minutes to take my 2 items to a self-checkout instead of going to an open cashier, that should be just fine. I dont want the pressure or directions to go to the cashier instead. I made my choice.

My everyday grocery store for good reason . Their selection is vast, the customer service is bar none and the prices are great. Really happy to live so close to this great grocery store.

This is my grocery store!! The staff remembers regulars from the neighborhood and always says welcome back. They are very helpful if need assistance finding anything and they keep the shelves very stocked. You guys do an amazing job!!

Management here seems to be made up largely of white suburbanites who do not understand, and are not a part of, the Downtown Minneapolis community. This store is managed by some of the most callous and unkind people Ive ever had to meet. Managing staff routinely gang up to harass and publicly embarrass customers who dont meet the bourgeois standards of this overpriced chain. This chain is ugly-spirited, and this store in particular is a stain on the Loring Park community.

I’ll post online that I close at 9 but I’ll close at 7 instead.”I understand times are changing and things are difficult downtown but it can’t be that difficult to update your times on google. Every other place in Minnesota can do it, why can’t you? Lazy marketing team, obviously. Update your dang hours so people don’t make the trip to your establishment to spend a STUPID AMOUNT OF MONEY ON EVERYTHING just to find locked doors.

Excellent customer service!!! I had to return an unopened kimchi jar which contained fish sauce (brought my receipt) and the manager let me have the brand without fish sauce for free AFTER refunding me, so I was able to get the blueberries on sale (Thursday deal).Overall the prices are high, but the quality of the food is far superior than that of other stores, especially the fresh produce (Whole Foods comes as close second).

High end grocery in a fantastic location with a healthy amount of parking. If you are entering or exiting downtown Minneapolis on the western side of downtown this should be the place you are getting your groceries. I personally love their high end cheese selection. Their knowledgeable staff helps me create a nice complementary cheese plate and the service is exceptional. I also want to give them props for having an electric car charging station. Highly recommended!

Their security cameras were down coincidentally at the same time a girl got kidnapped on their premises. Unsafe area, do not risk your safety going here. Employees and managers were not helpful at all.

For me it is all about location and convenience. It is a block from where I attend school. Sometimes after class I walk over there and grab a bite to eat. They have seating where I can enjoy my food, do my homework, listen to music, just take a break. When I am done I can pick up a few necessities before I head home. Their prices are a little higher than I normally like to pay but remember my trips there are all about convenience.

Usually have a good experience here, but felt compelled to share this. Just got a couple sandwiches, only to find this is how far 6.99 a sandwich goes. A couple pieces of turkey and a quarter oz of stuffing. Pretty pathetic. Wont be going back there again.

It’s terribly overpriced. I’ve gotten several meals from Lunds that are not above average for the price. Their pizza was completely awful and their sushi should be sold at a gas station. Go to cub because you can get the same food for half the price.

My ultimate go-to for anything above the basics! Never miss a BOGO, buyout their soup monthly, and can never say no to their bakery.

This is my go-to dinner place on the nights I have class. I looked forward to visiting the store to pick out what yummy food I will get to eat for dinner. They have a great salad bar and have recently expanded their hot bar. Breakfast for dinner, yes please!!

Dont let the small footprint of the store fool you - this is the most efficiently stocked & serviced Lunds & Byerlys in the city. Their staff are amazing & friendly, they have a definite team vibe. The self-checkout is a life saver for quick lunch trips.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a guy that makes fresh sushi every hour! Their deli is amazing with great selection. Took my food and sat on their nice patio by their wine & spirits store :)

I stop in often to this location and always have exceptional customer service from your cashier team! I was especially lucky this evening to have Zeke / Ezekiel as my cashier, however - as I had forgotten two items at checkout and he actually hurried out after me as I left the store to make sure I didnt leave them behind. Not only was he extremely friendly and upbeat, but he also went way out of his way to help me. I hadnt been feeling very well, and this made my night!

One of my favorite locations. Its quick and convenient. I drive over for lunch during work and can usually get what I want. I say usually because they need to make sure to have the crispy brussel sprouts on the salad bar at all times. All locations need to make this a requirement! So good!

Better-than average fresh produce. Good butcher shop. The salad bar is a little pricey but huge.

Lots of good deals. Go here for lunch, grab some groceries. Check out is always a little slow at lunch. I love having the option for all the different foods. Also there tends to be a lot of free samples.

This chain is known for good produce, bakery and meat. They are more expensive than some other chain grocers, but generally have higher quality products that justify the prices.This location is conveniently located downtown.They offer delivery (not from this location) and pickup.

Excellent salad bar. If only they could keep better attention to it during lunch hours. Always running low on items at the salad bar and never enough Thai tofu. So yummy

What a beautiful store, everything is new and fresh looking. Things are easy to find so I can get in and out quickly. It seemed like they were a little short on staff, but it could have just been the time I showed up. 5 stars!

The store is always clean, the produce always looks great, the hot bar is amazing as well as the cold bar, staff is always nice and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I love this place. Not the place to go if your a shopper on the hunt for bargains or a dollar shelve because with this shopping experience comes a price tag.

I have had the best experience here. I always come to get my food here. Today i passed the chef as he was bring in fresh food and saw how dried out the green beans I had served myself were. I asked me if I would like switch the ones I had for fresh one. Now that is what we call amazing customer service.

Boring selection, abusive pricing. First of all, I have continued to shop here for many years. Most days the service at the checkouts is great. The store is clean. They shut down the meat dept way too early, so good luck getting a steak at night, unless you want an off prepackaged one.Second, the items here are about 30% higher in price than the other stores nearby. Most of the clientele is older folks, and charging these people these exorbitantly high prices is just obviously taking advantage of these older shoppers.The coffee selection here is abysmal. Nothing has a roast date.I realize that this is supposed to be an upscale store, but it just has common goods at high prices, nothing more.

All of my experiences here have been good ones. Its conveniently located if youre a student at MCTC and want something other than the choices on campus. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey.

Like shopping there. But I need gluten free products. Have asked for some gluten free soup. We live in Minnesota. And a hot dish is the meal to serve in the winter. Wish they would put some on the shelf.

Its an alright grocery store but I think their prepared foods are kind of crappy. I know its a small store but they have no packages for normal sized croissants, if you want them you have to buy them one at a time from a display case. Its also hit or miss if theyll have the item you want. I was able to fine cornbread one day and love it, never seen it again since. However they got any kind of sad looking cake slices you want.

Moved to Seattle 20 years ago and was back visiting in Minneapolis staying at a hotel downtown. Came across Lund’s while I was on a walk, what a gem! Nice to see a city center grocer in Minneapolis with such a high quality variety. Great store! If you are new to the city or downtown for a visit, this store won’t disappoint!

Very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and quick to help. Very conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis. I came in one day to purchase some meat for a party. The employee at the deli counter let me sample 3 different deli meats and gave me a thorough description of each. Prices are high though, its not an Aldi.

The meat market and fish market workers are all very helpful and excellent at making sure you get what you need. I bought salmon here and the man that sold me the fresh fish helped me figure out how to prepare it. Tasted great with his advice!

Although some items are a bit pricey, this location of Lunds & Byerlys has a decent layout, selection of pre-cooked foods, and meat department. Also, less than a block away is a full liquor store branch of Lunds & Byerlys. So no matter what you need in terms of food or liquor, Lunds & Byerlys has a selection available for you.

Lets just start out with the fact that they are open from 6am-12am. Those are some of the best hours I have seen for a store downtown. Along with that, they have an excellent parking lot that has ample room and even charging stations for electric vehicles. I cant express how much I love their location and hours.

Local Minneapolis, upscale grocery store. Small but fully stocked with great organic produce, amazing cheese selection, $6 buck Sushi Wednesday and interesting hot bar. Oh and theres a separate wine/liquor store behind the building.

Nice and clean but spendy. They have a excellent selection of cheese and olives. If you want a quick bite they have a excellent salad bar with fresh soups every day. Very friendly workers and they have a great liquor store as well.

I eat here about twice a week as I go to night school downtown. The store itself is smaller than typical so it offers less selection. It is a lunds so expect to pay more. The hot food is always great. The sushi is fresh and gets top marks on the grocery store sushi category. Despite being expensive the salad bar is expansive and the deli is delicious with lots sandwich choices. Pretty sure hot food and salad is 8.99 a pound.

Best Lunds in Minnesota. Parking is great for downtown. They even have electric car charging ports. The selection inside is only the best, gormet products.

Incredibly convenient plus free parking! For the size of the store it offers quite a few selections of everyday items and groceries, as well as produce, deli, meat/seafood, and bakery items. They also have a liquor store right next door making this location an easy one-stop-shop.

Pretty good as far as Lunds go. Important to point out that there is parking which is always nice being in downtown. Certainly makes it easier to shop if you live/work in the area. Also a good spot for a DIY lunch during the week.

Some really bad customer service and absolutely no paper bags to take your groceries home with. From a store that promotes itself as high end and organic friendly this seems like a massive oversight. Bring your own bag if plastic bags arent your thing, or just go somewhere else. Thats what Ill be doing from now on.

Very well organized store with quite a selection of groceries. I go there mainly for the specialty meat items and they never cease to impress.

I come here for the deli, so thats about all I can speak for. Nice deli workers and the selection of sandwiches and whatnot is awesome. They change things up enough that you can always get something new, if youd like, and there are a few staple things so some consistency is possible, if youd like. Prices really arent THAT much worse than getting a sandwich elsewhere, and theyre definitely tasty. Store is otherwise clean and bright, and all the things youd expect in a Lunds. Wells Fargo ATM here, as well.

This Lynda & Byerlys location is clean, bright, and has a pleasant atmosphere. The produce section has been well-stocked with fresh products every time Ive ever visited. They offer a large variety of high-quality bakery items as well as a salad bar & hot food buffet. Ive always been impressed with their variety of items; despite the fact that the chain carries many upper-end, more expensive products, they also always have a huge selection of weekly sale items that are affordable.

Very convenient location and great service. I came in and wanted to buy some fruit, the cashier asked me if I was sure and I was a little confused and she showed me how much they would cost (huge price increase because of market value) and she said she doesnt want people to be surprised when they look at their receipt. I didnt buy that specific item and am very appreciative of how proactive and honest she was.

I love the offerings in this store, and I make the deli salad/sandwiches and buffet bar a regular stop for picking up a healthy and delicious lunch. Prices are a bit higher than normal, but it is downtown, so I guess that is to be expected. IMO, this area was a bit of a food desert until this store showed up, so bravo!

It is a smaller store, but they got all the necessities including a fantastic salad bar. The hot bar is a bit of a hit or miss. The place is always clean, and the staff is outgoing and knowledgeable.

Great place to drop in when youre downtown Barleys grocery store is convenient as your commuting from work to home from home to work and you need to stop off to get a few items like milk and is even convenient for the buffet that they have there where you can go and have lunch

Accessible, and one of the few stores to sell blood oranges. They also offer buy one get one free donuts after 6 pm. Also, their cakes and cookies are good, and reasonably priced.

This is a prime example of the notion of it being better to have something than not have it. With the exception of BOGO (buy one, get one free) weeks, this store has pretty terrible prices. And the selection of goods isnt particularly good either, due to their emphasis on providing lunch food for the downtown business crowd. However, the quality of meat and produce is excellent, the employees are nice, and theres no other supermarket within a mile. So it serves a need, albeit not ideally.
