They have a friendly staff and great local food!! The prepared food is solid and options are good, even for vegetarians. There’s an expansive bulk shopping section and fresh local bread. The cosmetics and retail sections are also very good — good spot to grab a gift and gift wrap on the go.

About once every three months, members receive a 10%-off coupon for one entire purchase, useful to stock up on items that you use often. This is my neighborhood store, and I really appreciate their hours, open until 9 pm every night. They have almost everything I need, especially the things that I need “now.” There’s always room in the parking lot. I walk here when I don’t intend to buy so much, or when snowy weather doesn’t permit driving. I’m price-conscious, so I shop the weekly specials, lower priced items & seasonal or volume discounts.Welcome to Fair Trade Minneapolis!
This is my neighborhood co-op, and I love supporting it. This grocery market is the perfect spot for finding specific items of high quality with a minimal ingredient list-label. For example - I am religious about getting my deli turkey meat from here, it has no added sugar and a moderate amount of salt - plus it is from a local farm! I also love that they offer pure stevia in liquid form without unnecessary additives. The tea and coffee selection is SO on point here! I can always find my valerian root tea and others, and I notice the freshness and flavor of the coffee beans when making my french press coffee. The staff here are also always kind and helpful, and this co-op has a nice laid-back neighborhood feel.
Awesome service! Love this place.
Thai chicken bowls are good. Staff arent rude but not that outgoing or friendly either. REQUIRING MASKS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS. Wont ever shop here again and wont miss it.
Great place to buy quality groceries at good prices. Place is always clean and they have the fastest cashiers Ive seen.
Simply lovely! Great prices, very good salad, and excellent bulk selection.
Great produce but horrible employees. My parents are members and the cashier told me that having a membership “doesn’t do anything”. My experience was so horrible that I’d never go back again.
Nice store. Smaller than many lunds/byerlys.
Linden Hills Co-op does a great job making the store feel clean and safe. They limit the amount of shoppers allowed at one time. They also wipe down everything after it’s been used. The store has a wonderful selection, especially for being a little small. I always can find what I am looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The deli is fantastic. Great variety of options and a terrific team behind the counter.
I love this co-op. Youre going to find great service. Very friendly staff. Excellent organic product selection. The meat department (butcher) is well worth a visit. Great quality. Well prepared staff if you want to know a good way to prepare a steak, roast, fish etc. Parking can be tight at times. It is after all, a neighborhood grocery store.
Employees are friendly and very very helpful but. Everything is overpriced and parking is limited.
Great place for fresh produce and unique items.
I really like how many local products are stocked here. Also, all the employees are all super nice.
Zero wait tonight, possibly 4 people in the store, nobody to bump into with the exception of the staff placing more food on shelves (1st world issues) and at 6pm? I was thankful and amazed they were even OPEN! 😘💓🥳💯💥🥰💯
Good selection, nice staff. Good cheese department. Im a regular and satisfied customer.
My favorite grocery store.
Great little coop with snug aisles and limited shelving, but a solid variety of healthy food, supplements and allergy friendly groceries.
In the job description for store director the Linden Hill Co-op uses discriminating demands for the job position, as highlighted in the photo. The clarity of ones spoken English does not determine the capability of one to do the given job. This Co-op needs to work on inclusivity and not discriminatory verbiage and requirements for job postings.
Ive been a member/owner for nearly 25 years. Even though I dont live in the Minneapolis area I always return when in the area.
Friendly staff and easy to navigate. Wide range of clean foods as well plenty of local options.
Great selection of fresh organic and locally grown foods.
Love this Co-op, highly recommend.
Been a member since 1990. Everything is stellar here except some of the prepared foods, which seem too reply too heavily on onion as filler & garlic as flavor- would love to see a bit more nuance in your flavors, folks. Otherwise, amazing customer service and responsiveness.
Consistently the kindest staff.
Great produce along with both a wonderful deli and meat department. They have a lot of vegan and/organic selections. They also have a beauty/nutrition department...for a smaller co-op they have a large variety of items one may need/want!
The staff are extremely polite and helpful. They also have a very good selection.
Nice store fully stocked with every delightful product except of course what I was looking for. Strawberries. Apparently they were shorted in their order.
Good selection of items, staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside, its super small so distancing isnt going to happen here as easily.
Excellent quality products. Good to Go n cook later meals n entrees. Good EATS 😎🤤
Helpful employees and plenty of healthy food selection.
Friendly staff, decent vegan selection, amazing popcorn tofu po boy sandwich in the deli.
Great prices, and excellent monitoring of numbers of guests. Super friendly staff.
Great customer service
Reading other reviews I was shocked at some of the negative comments and wonder if these were planted by competition. Ive been coming to Linden Hills Co-op since the seventies and the only negative thing is that I wish the milk dates had a longer shelf life and as a member I miss the member discount program that they use to implement, there is still a discount just not to the degree it once was. Great staff and great produce as well as those desserts are to die for!
I love all my Co-ops in my city but this One is my all time favorite. The most unique evolved group of humans work there. It is such a pleasure to visit each time!
Great selection of fresh, local, sustainable and organic products and ingredients. Expect super high prices and the occasionally surly staff member. Daily proof that inflation is not dead.
Lots of dairy free and vegan options. Happy they have Hi-Ball energy drinks for sale sometimes. Round up your purchase to the nearest dollar to contribute to their local charity.
What a wonderful place to shop, excellent vegetables and produce, many times locally grown, always fresh most of the time organic. They have a wonderful fish, and the bulk area for beans and rice is fantastic. And if you are a member, they give you four of water for free every time youre in.Cant beat the friendly staff.
Fantastic co-op with a really wide selection of produce, as well as dry goods and ready to eat meals. Its a little bit cramped inside, but has a chill atmosphere and the staff are all very friendly when Ive been
I really like this place. Way better than the old location. Their salted-in-shell peanuts are the best around. Although, I once had one of their deli potpie made me barf. Oh well, Ill still come.
One of the better if not best co ops in the twin cities in terms of staff, food offerings, and grab and go meals, etc. I wish it was a bit larger of a store but they make great use of the space, even extending outdoors for plant sales. Really worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood and definitely worth a membership if you frequent the area.
Great local foods! Plenty of Non-GMO, Organic, CBD, Herbal, and Earth Friendly Products. Very happy to have discovered this place!
Clean place, helpful people, curried tofu yum.
This is a great little grocery store with tons of options and a nice lunch bar. Its a little pricey but worth it!
Each of the Twin Cities co-ops have their own flavors and despite the unification with the Wedge a few years back, Linden Hills maintains a distinct identity.
Beautiful produce and meats
Great local produce, and of course, the people who work here are marvelous!
Linden Hills Co-op is committed to bringing the locally grown veggies to our corner of Minneapolis. We love that they’ve done the work to source the best possible foods and goods for us. We’ve been members since 2011.
My favorite twin cities grocery store. The produce is the closest to perfect you could find. Awesome selection. Great prices for organic selections. Love the fill your own soap options. They have a great vegetarian selection along with meat. Really nice cheese selection. The deli is delicious. Love the health section as well.
We did an event for the Linden Hills employees and it was so fun! Megan from HR is so awesome to her employees! We also got a tour at the end of the event and a snack from the delicious deli!! Thank you for having us- we will be back to shop!
Great product selection! Will always shop here.
Wonderful staff, great produce, excellent bulk section. Deli counter is amazing for take away and ideas.
Friendly staff, great variety, excellent programs supporting local farms. If you want to spend 1/10 the the price of normal spices and herbs, buy them from the bulk area. You can scoop what you want and spend pennies.
Love the co op. Great selections in the hot food bar every day!
Great place, best co-op Ive been to outside of Washington state so far
So expensive
Favorite co-op in the twin cities! Wonderful selection and customer service
The best co-op in the twin cities. Definitely my go-to place to get groceries. Great prices on in-season produce and amazing employees. Love their deli area and meat selections as well!!
A jewell in Linden Hills. Pioneered by Bruce and Maggie Drew and others in 1975.
Great specialty selection! A great location for eco conscious, vegan, or gluten free folks!
Probably my favorite coop. Well stocked, knowledgeable staff.
Everything you need to find, as long as it can be found organic or all natural, you can find it here. Their deli is amazing and their fresh meat and cheese choices are great. We go back regularly, and dont even have a membership!
I love their selection of organic produce. Plus the employees are always very helpful. If I cant reach something (Im under 5) they will dig through produce on the top shelves to look for the best for me without my even prompting them to! Fantastic service!
Excellent supermarket. Prices are reasonable and there are very good deals. Cleanliness and appearance are superb.
Nice selection of healthy food with decent prices for the size. I especially enjoy their fresh fruit!
Lots of Nice things can be found here!!! Fresh ground Peanut Butter too... If you forgot to bring your own wide mouth ball jar for the PB they have those too
A fun and interesting shopping experience. Many unique items.
This place is offensively expensive!!! I dont mind paying more to support local farmers and communities, but this place sells the same industrial products that every other store has for three times the price. Most of their produce is not even produced locally. Their orange juice made from concentrate is more expensive than the daily pressed juice from Trader Joes. Any other co-op in the Twin Cities is not as expensive, which makes think Linde Hills co-op is intentionally taking advantage of people and their location.
Most extensive bulk section Ive seen in the metro area, Id definitely recommend.
The very best co-op of all the co-ops ever. The crew is always helpful and kind. The selections are excellent.
Carrot cake is the best in town. Sorry no picture because we are it then thought about it!
Great selection at great prices...very diverse grocery offering...convenient parking...great deli!
Excellent coop! Not the cheapest one in Minneapolis, but could be much worse honestly. I have noticed a reduction in prices since they teamed up with the Wedge in Uptown too!
This is a great and trustworthy market and way of life if you care about local, organic, eco-friendly groceries. Its small enough to be manageable yet big enough to have just about everything a household needs. When moving to Minnesota from New York, one of the things that made the move away from friends and beloved institutions in NYC was the knowledge that wed be able to shop at the co-op. Were proud to be members. Its certainly not the cheapest experience, but we find the quality and integrity to be worth it.
Good selection of groceries, and a good location. The staff are always incredibly nice. You can walk in here and know that the staff will try their hardest to make your experience a good one.
Great staff. Funny, beautiful, and smart...o also stylish. 👔
Forgot a carton of eggs, a free special for members. The manager dropped them off at our home on his way back to his home.
I love this co-op for many reasons but mostly because the food is always fresh and of great quality. Ive never been disappointed. The staff is eclectic and helpful. The new remodel is wonderful.
Best place to raise your kids
Great place. The usual fair but no coffee in store. Odd for a co op.
Great neighborhood market . They are a specialty store so their prices are higher than Lunds..but you pay for quality. Its right in my neighborhood within walking distance
Worst place to buy organic/health food in the Twin Cities. Bad selection, empty shelves, rotting produce, highest prices. When I asked and employee why they are charging five dollars more for an item than any other co-op he said because we can in this neighborhood. Any other co-op is a better choice.Bad operations like this run by folks with no experience gives the great concept of a co-op a bad name. It also ruins the brand of all the other co-ops in town.
This is excellent supermarket. Yes prices are reasonable and there are very good deals. Cleanliness and appearance are superb.
Good deli choices, same as every other coop in the cities. Cashiers are way nice though. Smaller store than some others in the cities, beauty aisle seemed a little big for such a small store. Great staff here
One of the best coops in town. Been going here for many years. Not the largest, but has a nice vibe.
Very nice grocery store. They have a wide variety of food selections that you can’t find elsewhere. I have a co-op membership with them. They also have a donation drop off box for some epilepsy organization behind their building where I donated some clothes.
Oh gosh I miss this place since we moved out of MPLS. This was our favorite Food CO-OP. They have a room for cooking demos and allow practitioners and sole props to put on workshops on anything health & wellness. I loved the old fashioned type store with wood floors and big ole barrels of fresh food. The displays will get your mouth watering. Its a typical co-op with a deli, bakery groceries, kitchen utensils, pet food and accessories, meat department and bulk items frozen foods fresh organic produce spices etc. This coop often has a sale or coupons in the isles you can use on your items. They have good samples but you have to go early. I was impressed by their assortment of pickles and mustard. Wow. every kind you can imagine. They also have quite a selection of dairy including milk with cream floating at the top in old fashioned glass milk bottles. I have pictures some where of these items I will post. The neighborhood is the greatest with Lake Harriet down the street and located near 50th & France a desirable shopping area.UPDATE We just moved back to Minneapolis and I swear this is why we moved back here so many wonderful healthy shopping experiences and organic places to eat. I really love the variety and their Deli oh my gosh so many amazing healthy choices. I could not even believe how many different types of cheeses they have so I sort of became obsessed one day and took tons of pictures of them because wow I cant even pronounce half of them.
Great local coop. Has all your veggie, bulk, meat and fish.
Great selection at this full service grocery store. Take time to eat at the full serve deli first, well worth it! Helpful staff.
Really cool shop to buy specially food items. Things are priced affordably.
Go there more than I tell myself that I should NOT each time I buy fruit that goes bad in a day, green bananas that turn black and are not eatable. Since they are coop with great local farms relationship it puzzles me that all the vegetables are near death during each season. I don’t understand how potatoes can be sold green and soft to touch in Midwest? How parsley is cut down that basically you are left with top leaves. Their bins are dirty. I bought sugar with bugs. Thank You for destroying my supplies as I had to get rid off all I had in my pantry. Btw you can’t buy sugar unless it is a organic sugar and costs 4 times the regular one you can get elsewhere. I talked to staff few times bc I like to feed hummingbirds and it has been a year now and is still not there. Then, there always had been problem with dairy and molded bread. Next, cheese. I purchased expired sheep cheese. Their deli sold me salami with plastic rings sill attached, it was something that they had to slice for me. Apparently, they can’t remove plastic wrapping prior to slicing. You can’t make the sh..up. How I supposed to eat that? Service is always poor. Good employees are gone quite fast, poor management. Btw, one of the guys nearly collided with me pushing a cart. I yelled slow down and he stopped and looked like I just came from Mars. No acknowledgment, None. One of the cashiers regularly overcharges and is extremely rude, long grayish hair. How can you put people like that on front line? The only good thing is that you can buy local product but it is limited. Being that Wisconsin is next door and their cheese won so many awards...you can not buy any of them here.
The food is the best! ALL Locally grown!Support your local farmers! All organic!THEIR SPICE COLLECTION IS SECOND TO NONE..Litterally..Staff is hit or miss.. Some are nice others are snooty and rude BUT you didn’t go to make friends now did you..
Ive been going here my whole life (since the days it was in downtown Linden Hills, near Great Harvest). You cant ask for a better local co-op. The red curry tofu is nummy.
Hysterically expensive! But I love having it in the neighborhood and go often for spices, coffee, some bulk and some dairy items. Also for the rustica bread, maybe a bit of produce. Occasionally will grab some ready to eat food, its always nicely done but again often lolwut pricey. They have continually updated and remodeled, trying new things. Staff is consistently wonderful. Just wish it felt a bit more like a true cooperative vs a yuppie health food store. But seriously what do I know, they are clearly very successful.
We have been shopping at this co-op for many years, since before they moved to their current location. Always good selection of great organic produce and cheeses, and many other products. Very helpful staff.
Love the co-op. I cannot buy everything because itd get to expensive for our budget but they offer wonderful fresh products, I love their all natural ground pork (less than 3 5$ the pound) for hamburgers/empanadas and their chicken (competitive price) and their variety on sprouts for less than 2$. Cage free eggs and bread products and also competitive. Mussels similar to lunds price, sometimes. Many sales and discounted prices. The co-op is a wonderful community resource, if you become a member they pay you back monthly, to be discounted from your purchase up to 5$/month.
