This is a small AAFES Shop, it has a Clothing and Sales located in the back of the shop. It has a decent selection of snacks, drinks, clothes and electronics. Within this shop there is a barber shop and a small restaurant that serves one of the best omelets Ive had. There is a two pump gas station located outside that is available 24/7.
Small exchange or glorified shoppette, has a little of everything not a lot of anything, even a little uniform shop with uniform items for all branches. No one to sew on patches but they had quit a good variety. Staff was friendly. They had a a barbershop as well. The small restaurant had decent food but not many healthy options. Overall its a pretty comprehensive shoppette. Its also close to everything on the reserve side of base. Not close to the Guard side but less than a block from lodging.
I havent been here in many years since my father retired from the US Navy (Reserves) and I am a civilian. But the times I have came here it was usually never busy. I usually got a hotdog and Icee, and I looked at stuff available to purchase, as well. The people at the check out were very friendly I remember. Hopefully Ill be back soon to see if there is anything new!
Always friendly staff. Size more resembles a shoppette on an active duty post however it has everything needed for its purpose. They even carry a selection of electronics and price match most major retailers which means savings on stuff you might buy anyway. Definitely an asset to the base.
Has the essentials products with large Military Apparel items, staff is very helpful and courteous
Okay, it is not a big NEX like JAX or Norfolk. But they have great staff that are very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection especially for a small reserve type of base. The uniform shop has had many of the items my wife needs. Decent basic electronics, very nice package store.I have never been disappointed when I have stopped in. Great job and I am very grateful to have them here.
Never seems to have my rank in stock. Im told that its the venders and if they dont do that rank Im out of luck. Im not on a military post and would have to drive three hours to the closest PX. Not impressed as they didnt give any other options.
Small store, good prices, great staff! Need military ID.
I am a retiree at this Exchange is the closest at over 70 miles away from where I live. I called earlier (around 11:00am) to confirm they were open until 5:00pm on 3 Jan 2016. I was told they were and arrived at 4:00pm to pick up some cold weather gear for work, only to find them closed. The hours on the front main doors also show they are supposed to be open until 5:00pm on Sundays.I can understand them closing early if there are absolutely no customers, but I feel it should be listed on their website, and at least warn calling customers of their potential or likelyhood of closing early. It is highly discouraging discouraging to travel such distances only to find the sole purpose of the trip to have closed early.Other than this incident, I have always found the facility adequate and well stocked as well as having a courteous and knowledgeable. staff.
For a small bx it has everything you need. Great staff
