This is the best auto shop!! My fiancé and I feel safe and welcome as a young queer couple which is huge! They never pressure us to buy more than we need and always help walk us through what needs fixing, the cost of parts, labor, etc. They’re really communicative and make sure we’re comfortable with pricing before doing any work. Everyone is so friendly and the service is fast! When we first moved to uptown our car broke down on moving day and they were quick and so helpful! We trust them wholeheartedly and know they won’t rip us off or make us feel like we don’t know anything and are incompetent like some other auto shops have in the past. I 10/10 recommend Amigo Service Center and we are very grateful!

Ive been going to Amigo for almost 10 years now. Theyre wonderful. My car had some issues that were hard to diagnose, and they worked through it with me, in a reasonable price point. They are upfront about costs, they do reliable work, and their customer service is top notch. Theyve helped me prioritize work when I cant justify doing everything all at once.

Car broke down Sunday. Shouldve got bids. AMIGOS were nice, as my one friend said, my other friend said because Amigo is so much more expensive. Okay, Todd called me right away Monday morning (he looks like Skinner;Michael Pleggi (sp?) from X-files! LOL) tried to upsell me a clutch plate kit along with my broken slave cylinder since he was going to be in the tranny, but I had to ask if they looked at condition of 2001 car. He called back admitted rusty frame. Then I had to ask cost of just the slave cylinder what I knew it needed as I replaced the clutch master cylinder on the firewall. Then he finally gave me what I asked for at the beginning. It was over priced. I asked him to use the bottle of brake fluid sitting on the passenger seat. He said that was peanuts. He made it sound like he wasnt confident they could get it done the next day (they had vehicle for 2days) & not confident could properly bleed system. Not sure why. So quote of $950 had bleeding added $50 and another $5 for brake fluid as a kick in the nuts. $1005. Yes- you get a bad review. They were done by middle of 2nd day and no issues with bleeding vehicle or my pocket book! I now have a full bottle of brake fluid that I suspect I wont need for some time as a visual reminder.

This business is a scam and will get you into the system just to take your money be aware before bringing your car in they will lie to you and make sure to get the most money possible out of you while not doing a thing to your vehicle and will repeatedly tell you there is more problems that dont have anything to do with the car.

I ended up with an Allen wrench in my tire and just happened to park a block away from these folks-- they managed to patch my tire and have me out shortly considering I dropped in out of nowhere. They seem to have fostered a good connection with their community and offer honest consultations and services. I wouldnt hesitate to have my car serviced here again based on my experience.

I love these guys. They do a great job and most of all are HONEST! They will tell you when you do & dont need things done urgently, and advise on items that can wait.

Amigo!!! Fair, honest, excellent service. They have been around a long time. We first started going to Amigo when the parents of Todd who is the current owner ran the family business. They have serviced our cars for 25 years. My husband and I would not think of going anywhere else. They are also great participants in our community. Thank you Amigo!

I have a BMW. The last place that worked in my car didnt put bolts back in. This place Emily found the issue that was with my car. They were polite and understanding and did a hell of a job.

I got in and they fix brake line and was done when they say they would be...good service

I took my car to this place to fix something minimum and when I went to pick up the car the gearbox had an issue that was caused from the mechanic. Because it was their fault I thought they would rectify their error for free, but they charged me $300 extra.

Unilike most other places I have gone for oil changes, Amigo never, and I mean never, has tried to get more money out of me for unnecessary things. I completely trust them. Brought my 2010 Kia Soul to them for 9 years, now I just got another (2020) Kia Soul, and Ill bring it in soon for its first oil change!

Dont be fool if you arent already. They over priced overcharges for all labor.. For example an oil change They charge $75 dollars vs $15-$35 market price

Fast services but prices are extremely expensive. Charging x4 the prices for parts ($48 at auto store, charged $178). Cannot recommend based on price gouging.

Fantastic place! Had a flat about a mile away they brought a portable compressor out and I was able to drive it to their place to fix the tire! Fast, honest and very fair pricing!

A friend of mine recommended Amigo to me after she was having a couple problems with her car which they easily fixed. Today was the third time Ive brought my vehicle to them now and I am extremely impressed.I dropped it off and told them my back wheels were giving me some noise (knowing very well it was likely my wheel bearing). They called me back after a couple hours and told me I needed three repairs. I asked them straight up how important each repair was and they told me exactly how important they were. Luckily I had the extra money to ensure my car was fixed right away so I told them to do two of the three repairs.They told me they werent sure if it could get finished before the end of the day, but two hours before they closed they called me and said it was done (fast!). Did it get finished faster because I told them I had intended on going out of town tonight, but could probably hold off until tomorrow if necessary?When I got there I paid for my repairs (cheaper than I expected, BTW, I had anticipated about $100-150 more), and then asked if they could show me what was broken. Im not a car genius, but with a friends help I have made 2-3 repairs to the car when I was low on cash and had time. They told me without messing around it wouldnt be a really difficult repair as long as I could break the part loose (rust definitely can make a simple repair difficult at times). Wow!This place is honest and straight-forward. It was cheaper than I expected, and the guys that worked there were super cool with me, smiling and happy. Very grateful to have these guys fix my car.Will recommend to everyone I know.

The workers are awesome bit they really try to scam the f*** outta people. They just talk really fast and combine some terms to gather and give you a ridiculous price. Like 60 dollars for an oil change. Mind you I always had oil change for $30on the same car. They doubled it. Yeah they think they are really clever.

Excellent service at prices that are comparable to other places in the area. The staff are friendly and will remember your name if you come back a few times. Their work is solid, and I trust them not to try to sell me services I dont need.

If you need a mechanic you can trust, come here. Todd and team make sure you understand everything that is going on. And if you dont, ask. They are more than happy to help out. It is rare to find an ethical business it seems these days.Years ago I moved farther away from Amigo Service Center and started going somewhere else. Big mistake. I went back to Amigo for a second opinion on a quote I got at the new place close to where I lived. Amigo told me none of that work was necessary. Saved me over a grand. They are worth the extra drive.

Dropped my car off for an oil change. Went back to pick it up and paid. Front desk guy said my car was out in the lot, went outside and it wasn’t there. Then I see my car pulling in from the street and an employee gets out with his lunch. I can’t even say how unprofessional that is to use someone’s car for your personal errands. Will never return as this shop clearly shows a lack of integrity.

I have been using Amigo regularly for various repairs and maintenance for the last decade on several vehicles (oil changes, tire rotation and replacement, lift-kit installation, water pump replacement, brakes, exhaust repair/replacement, alternators, belt replacement, and Im sure a few other items). I find their pricing to be reasonable and fair, especially when you consider the straight forward communication and quality of service you receive.

Awesome group of people that work there. This is how customer service should be everywhere. Not one person has an attitude. They are very confident when you speak with them and seem to be extremely honest. Ill definitely continue to bring my car back there.

Amigo has been my regular service station for the past six years. They have always given honest assessments of both the work needing to be done and worked to lay out the options for both new and rebuilt/remanufactured parts for my repairs. The service is always courteous and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been using Amigo for a few years now. Normally they do good work and have great customer service. I brought my car in today due to some electrical issues I experienced and wanted to get it checked out. Once they looked at it they advised me that I needed to replace my alternator. They had actually replaced it for me about two years ago. When I mentioned that Todd lied to me and said it was over 3 years ago that it happened. After I got home and checked my paperwork I confirmed it was replaced 8/13/14. I called Todd back and explained that to him. He told me that an alternator should last longer than two years but had no explanation to why this one didnt. I am not sure how long they guarantee their work, but the fact that it didnt last more than 2 years and that Todd lied about when they replaced it made me decide not to use them anymore.

Been using Amigo exclusively for years. Todd & Pete always explain problems in clear terms to either my wife or me. I first heard about them when a female friend said Amigo was the only place she felt respected.And theyre honest: last year before embarking on a 5000-mile road trip, I asked them to look the car over and give me any recommendations to get it in perfect shape. I knew this was basically an open invitation for them to do unnecessary work, but they inspected the car and said it was running great—no work necessary. I was floored and impressed. They said we should look at the brakes again after the trip, but that was all.I love Amigo!!!

Service was horrible. If your looking for an auto shop to get over on you this is the one. Someone stole my spare tire & jack out of my brand new car also I paid 800 dollars For my serpentine belt to be fixed and a week or two later my serpentine belt broke again. I contacted the company I was told it was under warranty. So when I brought it back in I was told that nothing was wrong with it.🙄 it was something else. But little did they know I went to Two other auto shops and it was confirmed that The serpentine belt wasn’t fixed & not only did they not fix it but they also over charged me 300 dollars on labor. Just a FYI they are getting over on Women so watch out for this scamming auto shop 🖕🏾

The experience was regretful, if we knew they were going to charge us over $400 to change a tire, we would have gone somewhere else. When we inquired about the high cost, there wasnt an explanation other than it was tough getting the lugnuts off. They had our vehicle for less than 2 hours, so it couldnt have been that time consuming. I understand this time of year is busy for them, but we all know charging +$400 to change a tire is insanely unjustified.

I trust Todd and his team at Amigo with my cars. They are honest, knowledgeable and fast. Highly recommend Amigo!

After asking for a quote to replace a part on my car, i was asked to bring it in. So after cancelling my morning appointments i brought it to them (as if they couldnt just give me a quote for the work). 1 1/2 hours later they call me back and tell me to come in and that theyd like to show me something. A noise in my oil pan (which there was nothing wrong inside the oil pan). I reminded him that i knew what was wrong with my car, showed him that the sound was coming from inside the timing belt cover, and that i didnt come for anyone to diagnose my car. When i went to the front desk, the manager who was obviously used to people that know nothing about cars went so far as to hand me a 100 dollar fee. When i asked what that was for he replied, dont you think the mechanic should be compensated for his time? So what i gather is that he never listened to what i asked for nor did he intend to fix the problem. They get enough cars in there that they can just ignore the customer take a 20 minute look at your car, tell you whatever and make 100 bucks without really doing any work. I was so insulted. He even went so far as to probe my knowledge to see how far he could take it. I had to remind him that i did not come for a diagnostic and am not at all naive about my car, how it works, its parts, functions etc. So, after the mis-diagnosis i explained to him again that all i asked for was a quote to change the timing kit in my car (which is about a 500 dollar job). Since he was more interested in taking 100 bucks for twenty minutes of car sitting, he finally came back with the price of 1,000 dollars so he can get on to the next sucker. I simply said thanks for wasting my time and took my car to Gorshe where not only will they change my part for half of that price but they even threw in a new radiator. Total cost? 600 bucks. That i can deal with. Ill never be back, and that guy is no Amigo of mine. This place should not be in business.

Been going here for ten years and they are fantastic. Never overcharged me, never insisted on unnecessary repairs, and they always recognize me even though they surely see hundreds of customers a month.

Ive dealt with them on numerous occasions. Zero complaints. Very polite. Extremely good customer service.

They constantly try to sell work that u don’t need and the last couple times I’ve called for quotes, they are always the highest, even higher than the dealer. We have given Amigo plenty of business but I’ve had enough.

It is clear that talking to the customers with respect is a high priority.
