The cashier working around lunchtime was not a happy person. He was grumpy that I asked him a basic question about a product. He acted like he was the customer and I was the worker. Not only was he grumpy he didnt give me the info on the product. Ive dealt with the same guy before and every time hes been rude to me. Never smile, never a nice tone of voice, doesnt look at you half the time. I cant believe they would give that guy a job and let him keep it. That guy alone makes me really not want to shop there because hes often working the register and I gotta deal with him at checkout.

Fantastic service by the owner, Mark. Purchased a char broil patio bistro infrared gas grill that they assembled for free within a day & loaded it in my car. Exceptional customer service: friendly, professional, helpful, efficient, communicative, & a super clean, beautifully laid-out store. BTW, this grill is fantastic: infrared cooking at its finest! Will drive the 5 miles to this store rather than go to my neighborhood ACE hardware that could use a lesson in customer care from Mark & his team at Ace Hardware on Prospect.

Very helpful and convenient because its only a block and a half away. A little pricey but when you need something and you dont want to go to the big box go here. theyre very nice. Im still waiting for the partial refund I was supposed to get on my snow blower repair. Oh well

David was outstanding with his assistance in picking out plumbing repair parts as well as assisting with curbside delivery. His expertise & great care for the customer are very much appreciated. David, thank you so much.

Staff are consistently outstanding in my experience, they always ask if you need anything and they help, but if you already know what youre doing, they let ya be. In my experience, the staff/management have always been kind and its always very chill there.

Horrible experience...0 stars! I was notified that my delivery would be from 12-1 I called at 1:30 was told it would arrive in 30 minutes. I called back at 3pm to talk with the store manager who said “they should be in my driveway”. He then proceeded to say I’m not sure what you want me to do about it I’m the last item to be delivered.” Maybe I’m sorry for inconvenience or here’s a gift card for the inconvenience. Horrible horrible horrible experience this is how they treat a rewards member.

Stopped in and was someone immediately asked me if they could help me! At check out I needed to change my Ace Rewards card address and they offered to do it for me, even getting another employee to man the register to help other customers while they got it done. Definitely my new go to spot for hardware needs!

I had a major problem for my livelihood and all the man had to do was let me use his vice. He said no even though I’ve had other people do it for me at other ace hardwares. No good service. Parts more expensive too.

This is a great store for paint which is a good thing for me because I do a lot of painting. The selection is great. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. However part of the issue is that they are a little bit TOO eager. By the time that I had walked completely past the entrance counter upon arrival, I had been asked by no less than three people if I needed help. Overwhelming. So this star lost one out of five stars for that reason. The second star was taken off this review because their pricing for household items such as paper towels was ridiculously overinflated. I understand that the price must be jacked up for convenience purposes, but I honestly dont feel like a roll of Bounty should cost as much as a pound of filet mignon at Metro Market. Bounty aint THAT great.

There is always someone attending the front desk for customers who walk in. You are greeted right away and asked if you need any help. The whole staff always knows where everything is. Trips here are always easy and efficient. Thanks for your services!

Village Ace has won me over. Yes, the store is super clean and well stocked. It goes without saying that the staff is friendly and helpful. The reason Vilage Ace is my go-to hardware store is because they truly go the extra mile. I recently purchased a Weber grill from them that had to be ordered. Not only did the owners son assemble it for me, he delivered it to our condo and connected it to our gas hook-up on the deck. The crazy thing is that I did not get charged for this service, David M. did it on his own time. Remarkable!!!

Super helpful! Thanks Ace Hardware! One of my employees broke off a key in a lock at my business. After trying for 2 hours to get the stuck broken key out of the lock I went in to Ace on Prospect to look for more tools that might work to get it out. The guy at the key counter was so nice and made me a little handmade tool specially designed for just this. It worked within about 2 minutes! So relieved not to have to have to call a locksmith for the job on this Holiday weekend! Thanks!

I have shopped countless numbers of Ace Hardware Stores. This is the first where it was not a pleasant experience. The young manager seems to be of the impression that customers are there to act according to his liking, not the opposite. His right. Not a pleasant experience.
