After over 2 months working with Bliffert on a simple 5 door order, I am convinced that you should never go to them!I ordered 5 doors from Bliffert - 3 panel doors painted white (one with glass in the top panel). The glass door had a longer lead time (1 month) given custom order - understandable.Proactive communication never occurred during my dealings with them. I only received information by me personally hand holding them and calling or emailing.On multiple occasions I was told my doors were coming - once in person where I arrived and they couldnt find them only to find out they actually werent there and most of the order never showed up (but shipped to the wrong store). 2 deliveries were attempted (each only being 2 of the 5 doors) and all with the doors delivered being damaged. I sent pictures, and got confirmation from the team that the vendor was messing it up.I got final confirmation that my order would arrive today (last friday) and did not hear anything until I reached out Tuesday to see where the order was at. I was told that they werent sure where it was or if it was coming.Fed up, I called the owner of the company Eli. He emailed me back saying that he could not meet my expectations (of not getting damaged doors delivered to me) and that I should go elsewhere. I attempted to ask the owner if he even looked at the doors, and he just said no, but that he would not attempt a third try and fixing the problem.I emailed him the pictures (attached) and he just responded again by saying he was done, not trying again.If you are looking for someone to communicate, value you as a customer, and deliver you a product they will stand behind, RUN RUN RUNI have never run across a more unprofessional company who doesnt value their customer in my life

Needed a 1/2 sheet of oak plywood. Couldnt find one anywhere but Blifferts. And they even split the sheet for me! A life saver.

Was told a few times they were putting me on the schedule for materials pick up. Every-time I called I “wasn’t on the schedule and wasn’t sure why.” Finally last Friday after my boss threatened to fire me for not getting the materials picked up, I called and said they need it done FIRST AM this morning. They confirmed it would be FIRST. I told them to call me when they were on their way so I could meet them out at the site. I got no call by 9am and I finally called them at 9:18am. They said it was on the schedule and that it was in fact NOT a first pick-up and would be done between 10am and noon. When I got no phone call by 10:45am, I drove to the job site and when I pulled in... within 5 min of me getting there... the truck pulls in without any phone call. Luckily I was going there just to sit and wait. He picked up my order. I just wish it didn’t take 2 weeks, almost losing my job, and multiple calls checking up on them to pick up the materials.Seems like there is 0 communication and no ability to do simple thinks like adding “call the customer when on the way” and simply adding adding a job site to the pickup/delivery list.If you want good communication and service... use the Bliffert on Sunset in Waukesha

I called Bliffert Lumber shortly before closing time this month because I was having a hell of a time finding 4×4 lumber due to the lumber shortage. A really nice gentleman answered, and with a wonderful demeanor, helped me purchase the lumber over the phone and arranged delivery. It was so close to closing time when I called but he still took the time to answer all of my questions. I really appreciate that!. Im sorry that I cant remember his name. Great experience!

We are new to the area and just stopped at this store for the first time - I havent seen a hardware shop like this in a long time. We had ice skates sharpened and picked up a few items for our house. Very helpful staff and well-stocked shop. We will definitely be making this our go-to shop.

I love Bliffert. Several years ago, I bought a Thermal Tru door from Bliffert on Morgan Ave. These are quality doors and can be expensive. The price at Bliffert was considerably better than other places.Now, I am having my front door replaced and decided to go to the Chambers Street store. The staff at both stores were very knowledgeable about the products they sell. They are so helpful. Being a single woman, major home projects can be daunting. If you want someone who can walk you through the issues, this is the place.They have a good selection of regular hardware store items. And, you dont need to wear your hiking shoes.Stop in. You wont be disappointed.

Very helpful staff, went above and beyond the call of duty.They cut lumber to length and there are enough people working there that youll be able to get in and out with what you need in minutes, not a half hour.In top of that they are able to help you plan simple projects.

Blifferts has almost anything a person could want in a hardware store, including knowledgeable employees. Stock ranges from little cabinet knobs to larger hand power tools to a wide variety of lumber. They also deliver. A beautiful fish tank filled with anemones offers entertainment if one should need to wait while they find something for you.

We had some glass cut. They cut it while we waited and it only took a few minutes. It fit perfectly. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking.

If you are a woman walking into the store and you are being helped by one of the older men, you will most likely be treated as though you know nothing about building or hardware in general. I wish this wasnt the case because I like going to Bliffert to get supplies, but now I go elsewhere or I make sure to work with one of the younger men or women working in the store. Not all of the older males treat women as said previously, but a good amount of them do. It is never a good feeling walking in there.

Ken is a gift from God. Not only did we get to buy premium lumber we got an experience of a lifetime. He assisted us not only in our purchases he constructed the wooden arch we were building for a wedding right in store. 5 stars 10/10 100% A+ you go ken, you go !

BJ worked with me to produce two reports for taking down a load bearing wall in our house. I have never done this type of project before and he was patient and knowledgable when walking me through it. We will be purchasing our beam from Bliffert Lumber for sure!
