Well, I knew nothing about granite countertops for my small kitchen. This review is all over the place because of my experience. I wanted to buy local and came across Granite Factory. When you sign the contract they (Erik) were very “authentic and kind”, after that It was a terrible experience for me.Wasn’t clear on the 3 week cut time, but you came to measure without the cabinets being installed, lied and told me you would try and “fit me in” because the cut was “so small” that never happened you just wanted to string me along and on the day of delivery you scheduled my time from 2-4, the installers were nice but they didn’t show until 5:40/6:00. Don’t tell me your power was out, everyone has cell phones on delivery day. Was afraid that they would delay my install for the next day if I complained, so I remained pleasant until the install and now I can review.I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. Do your research and if it sounds to good to be true walk away. I would also like to add that Erik (owner/employee) talked to me as if I was a child, very disrespectful and the lies after lies, but he took my check.Beware. My counter is great, there was a lot of pain behind that counter top. Didn’t look at the bad reviews until later, which was totally my fault. Google Reviews are really old.
Erick was very helpful and informative. The processing time was much faster than nearly all local competitors at around 3 weeks. It fit exactly like it should. I felt the price was fair- in line with, or slightly better than my other quotes. I will continue to use granite factory for future projects.
The process was smooth. We were in a couple of times trying to decide what we wanted. Pricing was easy to understand. We made a choice and worked with Erick on picking out a slab. The installation was trouble free and done quick. Everything turned out beautifully and we are very happy.I do want to add that the store isnt fancy but that is obviously what helps keep the prices low. They get the same products from the same places as many other granite suppliers but less markup. The only difference comes down to installers. These guys did a great job and the seam I have is barely noticeable. This is as good as it get! I highly recommend.
Erick makes process easy with choosing and planning. Very reasonable prices. Measurements and installation were done quickly and professionally after placing order. Very satisfied with beautiful new countertops!!
We had a great experience with granite factory. The estimates were always timely and very organized. You knew exactly what you were being charged for and any extras you wanted added on like special finishes or edgings. We were also able to drive to Illinois and pick out the exact slabs we wanted. We did our kitchen with a double island in a leathered finish and our master bath, spare bath and laundry room in the typical gloss finish.
This place is so unprofessional.Seemed legitimate at first, I was wrong.Received estimate, was told they needed to come to my home and measure. They did, 1 week later they came to do the installation. Was told 1:00-3:00 was the range installers would arrive. I had to call at 3:30 since no one arrived, was told they would be there shortly. They arrived at 4:20...I had to be somewhere at 6:00, since they were late I had to leave installers in my home(very uncomfortable feeling).Installers wanted payment, I paid them(job was not complete at time). When I saw install, it looked good. Only issue is my desk top which I was installing was not there. I had to wait a few days for a response and was told they would get me the top. This took more than a week.I received the top, there was a chip in it and it was seemed in the middle. Keep in mind this is a desk top.... Spent a lot of time going back and forth with Erick. I asked why would you not tell a customer this would be seemed? He told me he assumed I wouldnt want it to be one piece because it would cost more. The communication was extremely poor. I received many excuses and was told that not much money was made on this job. Not my problem, last time I checked I didnt provide the estimate. I was however the one who paid the bill to a professional, expecting the best. I wasted a lot of time and came to realize Erick is not going to make this right. He did offer for me to look at other colors to get a close match for a solid piece, but that is not what we want. Too late now..Save the time and a headache, go somewhere else.
Granite Factory hands down has the best granite around for the best prices. I couldnt be happier with the end results. And Erik, the store manager, was the most friendly, knowledgeable salesman I have ever worked with. This guy knows his stuff, and hes honest and doesnt pressure you. I highly recommend coming here for your granite!
My son and I have restored two old homes in the last 18 months. We had Granite Factory install our kitchen counters in both of our houses. Both times our jobs were completed within 2 1/2 weeks from the day we selected our granite! The employees that came to measure the counters were extremely detail oriented and did an amazing job. The installers also were extremely detailed oriented. They are high quality counters at an excellent price. I highly recommend Granite Factory and will be using them on our next house flip.
Really great experience. Eric was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the right stone. Their prices are in some cases half of what the big box stores charge. Installation was scheduled quickly and went off without a hitch. Thanks guys!
We got our kitchen granite from them and they were great. The product was wonderful. They directed us to a nice indoor heated warehouse to view granite slabs. The service and installation were A+ too. They did a nice job laying out the granite for seaming. We will definitely use them for our bathrooms next.
We checked out a bunch of different granite places around the area and ended up selecting Granite Factory. They didnt have the largest selection of the places we went, but did have the one we liked best. Erick was very helpful and friendly throughout the process, answering the many questions/concerns we had. He even took the time to give us photos of the slabs before ordering . Installation also went smoothly with a friendly and professional install. We are extremely pleased with the results and value for the money. Would recommend, and use them again ourselves.
Prices and selection were great. The scheduling process went very smoothly. Someone came out to measure our kitchen within three days of making our down payment. Installation came about two weeks later and went off without a hitch. All of the workers were always on time, and very courteous and professional. They even did a great job of cleaning up afterwards! No complaints from our family, Granite Factory did a great job.
Friendly customer service and pleasant planning experience. Granite was a great value, beautiful, and installed perfectly. Would use them again.
Have used Granite Factory for all our projects and they are excellent to work with. From stopping at the store and picking the granite and entrire process to install. Every time it’s done on time and correct. Have referred them to friends and all have been very happy with Granite Factory. Great to work with. Been very happy!
We just completed a new kitchen using a large amount of granite. Granite Factory did a great job in all respects. Erick was helpful in guiding us through selection and design. His prices were extremely reasonable. The granite was delivered and installed with expert precision and, equally importantly, only two weeks after we ordered it. Just to be clear: Our granite was less expensive and installed much more quickly than with any of the big box stores, and the service and responsiveness were terrific. We will return to Granite Factory for any future projects.
All around great experience. Erik promised we would have our cabinets installed within two weeks and pulled through. Granite looks awesome. Installation was quality. Only regret I have was not calling them sooner!
I own a remodel company and it has taken me sometime to find a granite installer I like, and I am pleased to say I really am impressed with the Granite Factory. Easy to work with, flexible and great pricing. Above all the end product is very beautiful, tight install and great work. They are now my go to source! Thanks guys for all you do!
Had my kitchen granite counter top installed today. Great prices, very good job and very professional installers. I will surely recommend them to my friends and family. Erik was very helpful.
I shopped around and Erick and the granite guys had fair prices and great selection. Our job was large - an installation of a 6ft by 10 ft solid slab of granite for an island. Granite factory had to go searching for something suitable and I always felt they had my best interests at heart.
Erik and his guys did an excellent job with our granite counter tops. He was always willing to answer my many questions and accommodated me when I had a lot of specific design requests. The counters turned out great.
Granite Factory was a pleasant surprise of both price and quality... I received the product just as I envisioned. Erick the manager took care of every step start to finish.. Great experience.Great service, very quick installation. I shopped around and this was the best granite price I got, plus inexpensive fabrication & installation. From the time I went to the shop to having countertops installed at my house was 2,5 weeks. Highly recommended!!!!
Service, quality and very nice folks. Highly recommend.
Had granite counters installed yesterday. Absolutely beautiful! The installers were very professional and did an excellent job.Erich is a pleasure to work with!
Excellent prices, excellent quality, excellent installation. very happy with our countertops.. would recommend to others.
Granite Factory was able to install my counter-tops pretty much on time, though a few rescheduling dates were required. The quality of the granite and workmanship was O.K., and overall I am happy. The reason for one star is that the price per square foot advertised does not actually include the installation costs as they initially will claim. Had I known the actually price, I would have gone to a more reputable company more inline with the higher cost. Based on the square footage, my installation was around 1,400.00. The actual cost paid was a little over 2,000.00. I asked what the difference was, and was told it was to cover installation items. My install was about as basic as it gets, and I even had removed and disposed of my old counter-tops before Granite Factory arrived. So, like other reviews, this company is basically hit or miss, but one thing you can count on for sure is to overpay.
Very good experience, good prices, Eric made everything go very smooth .The installation took two hours looks beautiful! I would definitely use them again.
I need to revise my previous post to give a star rating! Excellent work, counters are beautiful.Gret customer service and prices!
Granite Factory installed our volga blue granite on Jan 12, 2013. I was initially pleased with the price and the experience. However, I cannot report a satisfactory long term experience. During the purchasing process, I asked if Granite Factory was a reseller or if they sold the granite directly. The answer I was given and the facts did not line up. The granite was actually furnished by a company called Factory Plaza, Inc in Illinois. Maybe they are owned by the same owners maybe not, I was just surprised by this. More importantly, however, was the crack that developed in front of my built in cooktop less than a year after installation. I visited the store with pictures of the issue and expected Granite Factory to visit my home to review the situation. Instead, I was accused of dropping something on the granite. Nothing was dropped on the granite. It cracked and Granite Factory has refused to even come and look at the issue. I am definitely not a satisfied customer. Erick the supposed manager is rude and does not stand behind product.
Great service and results. They were easy to work with even though I had to reschedule as I fell behind on my project.
Granite Factory did a nice job and it was completed in a timely manner. Used them on several projects and they never disappoint us.
I have experience in this business. Do you have a Careers
Granite Factory is such a shady company it made me nervous the second after I paid.... First-off, the storefront awning advertises $25/sf and the website advertises $27/sf. I figured, no big deal, I understand prices may have gone up. After I was provided a quote for what was advertised at $27/sf... I divided the total by the square foot that I was receiving and it came out to $45/sf! That is insane. I further asked Erick, (Owner? Manager?) to break down this cost and he responded with I dont know... Thats just how it is and refused to tell me why the price was so far off. At this point I was at a time crunch and had to move forward. The communication throughout the process was awful as it would take them days to get back to me. When I called, I constantly was told Im so busy I havent gotten to it yet. I understand if you are busy, but if it takes you days to respond, maybe it is time for more employees? When I asked for the lead time and the install date I received vague answers every time. It will be next week maybe is a favorite line of Erick. Finally I called him to ask when my surveyor was coming and he gave me the not very believable answer of Oh, I have your file in front of me right now, He can be there tomorrow, which was frustrating of the short notice. The install was the same way after I asked for specific dates multiple times. Erick acts as if its his first day on the job, every time you talk to him. No idea what is going on at his business. The Surveyor didnt us lasers, after telling me he had lasers, but preferred not to use them because he didnt need them, and now my granite has up to a 1/4 gap in many places due to wall in my older home. The only good thing that came of this experience was the installers. They did a great job with what they had. They were nice, and cut around some areas I wasnt expecting them to be able to do.Unfortunately, the final disappointment is that I ordered a single roundover edge, that in the store rounded all the way down to the bottom. I was assured by Erick that this is the edge I would receive. When I came home from work to see that it was barely a rounded edge, I was very disappointed...I tried to find the best out of every disappointing situation with Granite Factory, but every time something new had to come up.Upon payment, I had 30 days to pay and was receiving phone calls from Erick badgering me to get them the money right away as if they were going to go out of business without it... Maybe it would be better for them if they did just close up shop...I would not suggest using Granite Factory. The prices are advertised lower than you will receive. At that point, try Menards or Home Depot.
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Granite Factory. At first, I was impressed by the relatively straightforward pricing and process compared to other quotes I received, so I decided to use them to replace the countertops on my original, 1940’s cabinets. Everything was great until the installation day, when the installers were unable to deliver the countertops because the sink was physically too large front-to-back for the cabinets, which is something that should have been noted in the measurement. Someone was sent out to re-measure, and said that the sink would definitely not fit, which would cause the countertops to have to be re-cut. At this point, Granite Factory stopped returning calls. Two weeks after the re-measurement, now seven weeks start to finish, I finally got a hold of Granite Factory, and was promised that “they were working on the math,” and they were 99% sure they could make it work. Upon calling a few days later after not hearing from them, I was told that there was still no answer and they’d know soon. A few days after that, I was told that they would not be able to make it work as-is. They blamed my countertop depth for the mistake, not the fact that the measurements were not taken accurately. Since I had gone over two months without countertops at this point, and no discount was offered, I decided to walk from the deal. If your countertops are completely standard, and you don’t mind very poor communication, these guys might be fine to use. Otherwise, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Superb service and prices!!
There prices are very miss leading, the advertisement says $27 installed on the website and they gave me the estimate of $45. I was told the extra charges were for fabrication. They should take that advertisement off the website. It was such a waste of time.
