I cant say enough great things about this place! Centraal Grand Café is a staple visit for this Chicago girl! I visited this gorgeous little spot years and years ago, and I still cant get enough. I brought my sister up for a day trip to visit Milwaukee and our little trip wouldnt be complete without a little brunch at this delicious spot. (Dinner and the beers are great too!)They have a fun little outdoor section that has a street car with cozy seating! The inside is also fun and worth a look. The food here is fresh and creative. I had their Braised Beef, Beets, and Goat Cheese Scramble. It was incredible! Whoever thought beets and beef to together like this, knows whats up! Dont forget some donut holes and a yummy bloody mary, or a mimosa to go along with your meal. So worth the drive! See you soon friends! Cant wait to see what youre cooking up next!

Was so delicious! Super cute spot with delicious food and very friendly servers! Danny (?!) was great and very helpful.The chilaquiles was delicious. My boyfriend ate the French toast in 2 minutes, it was so good. We also got the donut things - v yummy. Also!!! Fresh OJ in a cold glass was a perfect touch.

Really cool interior with comfortable seating. Bar looks really great too. Food was fantastic with a lot of options for any taste. Had the Peri Peri Chicken and Chicken Avocado sandwich, both were excellent. Good deal on the flight of beers too. Highly recommend and will be back!

Haven’t been to Centraal in years; and popped in this morning for a quick brunch. Menu is excellent- their cauliflower breakfast bowl is honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in forever. Our server Mel was attentive and so sweet. Highly recommend!

Had dinner for 4 tonight. Drinks and service are good. Food was good, but not great. The vibe is nice, we even had live music with a guitar soloist. I had Avocado grilled chicken sandwich - other dish was lemon orzo chicken. Again food was 3 stars, location earns another star.

Good service and great food and cocktails! Many options for plant-based diets. I had the vegan cauliflower masala and it was excellent. The basket of fries was delish, they come with two sauce options. We opted for their sriracha aioli and the jalapeño cream. Try their cocktails as well - I had the Serengeti Sunset and it was great. Great decor as well. Will definitely be back!

We had been on the road for 3.5 hours with 5 more hours to go, and really craving a BLT. Not only did they seat us in a quiet section of the restaurant so my service dog had plenty of room, and I could comfortably enjoy the ambiance with a brain injury, they also made us an exceptionally delicious BLT, even though, it wasnt technically on the menu. Hands down the best BLT Ive ever had...heaven in my mouth. Milwaukee, I love you. Thank you for treating us with thoughtful compassion.

I absolutely love this spot. Super cute, outdoor seating is lovely, food is bangin and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Second time here and Ill make the drive from Kenosha anytime.

For those wondering about the bar, they have some good selections I wasnt expecting, like Jeffersons ocean cask, and a bloody mary menu. They could tone down the kahlua in the alcoholic coffee tho, its just extra sugar at that point. The mini stroopwafel is adorable.

We love this place! We had a party of 8 come in about an hour before close, and our server Mel was more than willing and happy to serve us. She even gave us a free dessert because we were celebrating. She was knowledgeable of the diverse drink menu and was prompt and kind. The food was delicious as always. Can’t wait to go back.

Visited on August 27, 2001. Food was good, very nicely seasoned and tasty. Adult beverages were creative and also very nice. What made the night though was our server Mackenzie. Absolutely top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us some terrific recommendations. Wed planned to go back for brunch just because Mackenzie was to be working. Wonderful evening and a big thank you to Mackenzie.

Great spot for brunch! We also had a great waitress who gave us recommendations and was very fun and friendly! We visit Milwaukee several times a year and we will definitely be coming back here again as there were so many things on the menu that looked fantastic! I was happy to see they had Mocktails and the pomegranate “mock” arita was so good! I enjoyed the cheesy gooey spicy mess and my husband had the Buttermilk chicken and biscuit. Both were fabulous.

Stopped in for brunch today. Staff is ALWAYS super friendly and attentive! My husband ordered the cheesesteak omelette with Rosemary potatoes and I had the Cinnamon French toast with a side of bacon and we both had a signature bloody with a chaser. Stopped in to enjoy the new heated patio and fish fry. The patio was excellent, sufficient covering for inclement weather and space heaters for the cold. The food was what youd expect from the lowlands group. The sliders and Wheres Dave cocktail were standout. Our server, Robby, was above and beyond excellent. He interacted with our 4 year old and made sure we had everything we wanted whole we were there.

Food was okay, the chicken from the chicken sandwich was dry. My partner ordered the Mac n cheese, dry and hardly had any sauce. Not worth the cost.

Another great trip to Centraal. Very lucky to have a place as great as this in such close walking distance. Went with my brothers this time who came up from Chicago; nonstop comments about how much they love the renovation (been a while for them), and how awesome our server, Danny, was. Super welcoming and hospitable, knowledgeable on menu/customizations/beers, and being super communicative and having a sixth sense of when to check in on us. Crazy.And THEN, after we’re all chatting, he mentions it’s his second day! Like what?? I knew Lowlands hired great people but like wow; crazy impressed with a stellar new member of the team.

Highly recommend for a great lunch spot. Beautiful interior, unique menu with global flavors, and superb service. Table was in the warm tent outside for social distancing. Ordered the Smoked Salmon Kimchi Club. Yum!

Great location, huge amount of space with old wood bar and gold taps, booths, and outdoor seating with street tables and a patio section. They do a Bloody Mary right here, true to Wisconsins tradition of a meal in a drink. The food was good, I stuck to lighter fare with lox on toast but a friend got the loaded waffle fries and the food envy was intense.

Super tasty brunch! We ate on the patio which was a really comfortable spot. Service was excellent and always ready when needed. The omelettes were great, and I really enjoyed the donut holes too. Would go back again in a heartbeat to try more of their offerings!

Stopped in this morning and just wanted something simple so I ordered the pancakes. Ive had pancakes from many places, but these were honestly the worst Ive had. No flavor at all. I ate one and brought the rest home for my son. He said the same thing and hes only 8.

Came in and ordered a cheeseburger for take out. Hostess went through the trouble of getting my name and phone number, told her my names Tom since Haitham (my real name) would have been too long and complicated with a mask on... thought, oh theyll call me or message when its ready ..but.. Waited 45 minutes (they may have forgotten), went in to see the friendly hostess who intially thought i was a new customer...paused...then realized I had already paid and ordered. Went into the kitchen then returned, was told they were still working on it. Ordered came out about 8 minutes later. Took it home and it was dry, barely any cheese (see photos) and without any condiments in the bag. Just dry meat, bread, and the scent of cheese. You can see the cheese over parts of the meat. They seem to have a good drink selection, just dont bother with the burger. All the employees were super friendly and awesome. I had coffee and lattes before during lunch and their coffee drinks are quite good.

Had a fantastic experience on September 8th. Ambiance is beautiful & comfortable, dinner is affordable & delicious, drinks are really good & not overpriced, and the service is spot on! The bartender was our server for the evening and she did a fantastic job. There was a big party going on and she managed to serve drinks to the party, tend the bar, and regularly check in on our table and make sure we got our food & regular drinks without waiting. The chicken sliders were so good, I ordered a second plate to-go before we left.Centraal gets five stars, I will be returning sooner than later. Ive been to much more expensive places in milwaukee with half the value and service that I received last night. My girlfriend and I had an amazing night thanks to Centraal and our amazing server.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Had an opportunity to sit in the patio while it was still warm. Good safe distance from others as well as beautiful little area. Food was tastey and plentiful. Looking forward to going back.

What a cool place! Came here for an anniversary dinner and was blown away by the great service. The waiter was so attentive and polite. The atmosphere was also very classy and cozy. The food was exceptional! I cant wait to come back and try some other the other items.

Nice outdoor seating and great atmosphere! Chicken and a biscuit was super delicious and had a tasty chorizo gravy on top. Yum! Strawberry basil french toast was refreshing. The french toast was super soft and spongy, perfection! The drinks were very tasty and I recommend the early morning/brunch menu! If your planning on going later in the day, try a delicious Bloody Mary (extra spicy 😉). Calm and trendy location, nice views and relaxing

We came to have a beer because we had Pub Passes and well definitely be coming back. The prices were great, the drink and food menus are amazing and the quality of everything was so great! Great place to stop for food and your favorite adult beverage while biking the Oak Leaf Trail. The outdoor dining is off of Lincoln, which is not as busy nor noisy as Route 32. Two big Thumbs Up!

Soooo yummy for brunch!! The rosemary potatoes are a breakfast classic done extremely well. The lemon ricotta pancakes have the perfect texture and light lemony flavor. This place has friendly servers, unique dishes, and yummy brunch cocktails!

Great place! One of very few open nearby for brunch/lunch on Sunday, and they quickly and cheerfully seated us after just a few minutes despite a busy Mother’s Day. A thunderstorm took out my power and internet for a day and I had a solid day of conference calls. My wife an I had always gone here as a special treat for the food and the wait-staff. Neither of us drink so their selection of import beers was lost on us Im afraid.Anyway no one in the area had solid internet so I tried them. They easily accommodated me - and all my stuff. Solid internet and a power plug in the booth. Waitress was great. They all really rolled with it.I had their basic cheeseburger with fries which was the best Ive had in a long while. The brownie chocolate sundae for dessert. Double thumbs up on both.This place is great as an upscale bar on the corner for meeting friends, having a good meal etc etc. For special night out it would be OK if you do some advance planning since its kinda loud when its busy, but definitely do-able, considering the atmosphere and the food.

I visited this place on Memorial Day because I had heard good things about it.If I could use one word to describe this place, it would be snobby.I asked for a booth or a table and was told that none were available and that I could sit at the bar, which I did.It took a hostess about ten minutes to get me a menu and not long after that, while I was deciding what to get to drink and eat, I was asked by another hostess if I could move to allow other patrons to sit down (I was sitting at the end of the bar.)I guess the hostess recognized the look on my face because she quickly changed her mind and said that I didnt need to move, but by that point I decided this place wasnt worth it and left.For starters, why even sit me in an area if youre going to tell me to move not much more than ten minutes later?Aside from that, how is it even remotely close to good customer service to attempt to kick what would have been a paying customer out of their seat for the sake of other customers?I wouldnt recommend this place.The staff is rude and completely unprofessional and I am sure that there are better restaurants in the area.

This is one of our favorite spots to go. My husband and two kids go and have never had a bad experience. Tonight we had James and James was fantastic! Super accommodating and attentive! Great person! All around great experience!

I should have definitely read the reviews before trusting this establishment. I was there today and specifically told the waitress about my SEVERE ALLERGY to eggs which would require precautions in the preparation of my food. It cannot be made on the same surface as egg contents, etc. I was assured there was no problem and they would take my needs seriously. Even announced my egg allergy again when serving my meal which was the Smokey Moroccan (VEGAN). After consuming most of my meal i immediately began having an ALLERGIC REACTION and got sick to my stomach there at the restaurant. Hours later I am still at home doubled over as I am dealing with this reaction which will continue for some time.People don’t just say they have food allergies for snaps and giggles. This is real. Luckily this time anaphylaxis didn’t set in. Whatever the case may be: whether the establishment cannot accommodate allergies OR if you are not serving truly vegan food…this needs to be addressed. So viewers if you have an allergy DO NOT trust they will take this seriously. Which could unfortunately lead to legal action.

I ate there over a year ago. An absolutely a delicious salmon dish. I loved it. I went back yesterday. My salmon dish was a total flop. It was cold. The rice included. Also it has some salad including raw sliced brussel sprouts. They were like cold from the fridge and stale and hard to chew. Ate some. Left some. Didn’t take left overs.My sister had a green noodle dish. Ate but expressed regret she didn’t order a hamburger.The waitress was so nice. She offered to change my order. But I found the new menu so fancy. I graciously declined. I was disappointed that after all this time I go out…

I rode up to Milwaukee and stopped in here for early lunch. The food and service was outstanding. The Bloody Mary was the best one Ive ever had, anywhere. Top Notch!!!

Can’t believe this place doesn’t have a 4.8 or above! This is by far the BEST restaurant I’ve been to in Milwaukee. Creative menu, well-priced, lovely atmosphere. Service is friendly and prompt. Everything we’ve tried has been wonderful. Can’t wait to come back next week!

First time I went: extremely slow service, but I get it cuz of covid. Food was delicious! I had the Chicken Orzo - definitely recommend.Second time: a patron yelled in my face for no reason and when I picked up my food, the hostess just said here when she handing me the food and as I said thank you she turned her back on me and walked away. Then I get home and part of my order was wrong and my soup spilled all over the containers.I did not enjoy my second time there and found it to be extremely unpleasant and rude. Dont think Ill come back. Just be fricken nice.

Recently had breakfast but Ive been here for dinner too. The coffee is very good, the food in my opinion is just good, not amazing. My poor friend wasnt too happy with her meal tho. Plus side they had packets of stevia, and the atmosphere has that cool bay view vibe that I love.

Basically most of the restaurants in Bayview are very good. Centraal is one of them that serves quality and delicious European style food in this area. They have great choices for tap beer. You should try at least one of the loaded frites

Went for lunch and was very disappointed in the service. Took close to 10 minutes to get a table (The restaurant was not busy)Waitress brought the wrong meal after taking close to 40 minutes to get our food. She did not apologize or acknowledge she had made a mistake. When we asked to have the correct meal brought she said it would “take a long time” and we had to ask if she could ask the kitchen to put a rush on it. Had to ask if we could get a refill on drinks and then she brought the wrong refill. Hope this was just a “bad day” on the waitresses part but did not leave a good impression.

The food is very good. However the service for take out needs to improve. I place the order and not once did the person give me a total nor was there a total on my receipt. They said they would bring the order out to me just call...which I did and kept getting disconnected. Also want to mention the prices do not reflect the online menu

Solid choice for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Prices for meals are slightly above average, but the food quality makes up for it. Service is friendly and food came after a reasonable wait. Not a alcohol drinker, but Cafe Centraal has a vast selection of drinks and cocktails.Popular with a range of customers and atmosphere has a beer hall feel. Lots of wood, long bar counter, high ceilings and bright natural light.

The food was DELICIOUS! The staff couldnt have been friendlier. It took a little longer than normal to get food, but post-covid employee shortages...everyone was understanding and our server apologized multiple times.

This place is great. Interesting food choices and wonderful atmosphere. The kids menu options are not only kid friendly but healthy and reasonably priced! Which is hard to find... Great food and great service everytime! We often are here at brunch time, but evenings are great too. Usually sit at the bar, and are well taken care of by Elizabeth. Get yourself a wheres Dave or a spiced pear mule and any entre. Flights of beer are also fun, lots on tap to choose from.

I want to give a special shoutout to my favorite server James. I have had the pleasure of having him on multiple occasions. Hes outgoing, attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure youre happy with your order.

Ive never gotten good service at this establishment. It has ranged from average to horrible, and the negative experiences Ive had at Centraal have definitely outweighed the good. The food is fine, but not good enough to put up with the consistently bad service/slow food and drinks.

We have been coming here for years and it has been a go to for great food. However recently we had the joy of having James as our server. He was welcoming, fun, and had great suggestions. We cant wait to come back for this great service again.
