We ordered a transmission from MOFOCO for a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. We were very impressed by how quickly we received the transmission. We were also impressed with the quality of work that was performed on the transmission. I suggest that if you need parts this century you should avoid mofoco. there is customers waiting upto 6 months currently and still no sign of their items being delivered. there is zero communication on the constant delays. i personally ordered my heads on the 15th april, i ended up putting in a paypal claim for a refund, finally got a reply from roy saying 2-3 weeks heads would be shipped, apparently their machine broke down before i ordered and they didnt tell me before i paid, its now been over 3 weeks and no more contact and no sign of heads shipping. i have now been blocked on their facebook page and have been forced to contact my bank to attempt to get a refund as they clearly have no common decency.

Its been months since I ordered, never received my item, no answer, no status when I would receive it.Very unprofessional customer service.I suggest if you need any parts look elsewhere,unless want your time and money to be waisted.

I was told 3 - 5 weeks before my part would ship, I began calling after 6 and was told it would ship out next week 4 times over the course of a month and a half, on 2 occasions they took my number down saying i could expect a call back and i never heard back either time. All emails and messages went unanswered. After 3 months I was forced to get a refund through paypal. From what i have heard they do good work but i wouldnt risk it unless you have a ton of time to spare and dont mind being lied to.

I emailed Roy about cylinder head machine work that I needed done. He answered me quickly with a far price and told me that they had an open house that coming weekend to come by. I did and was only going to drop off the heads and figured I would come get them a week or 2 later. The machinist came out and said he could do them today and would be done in 30 min. I was surprised at the great customer experience I was receiving. He started working on my heads and I was able to walk the shop and checkout the cool projects they had going. Once the work was completed we talked a bit and was given some great info. Paul,Roy, and the machinist were very professional and a joy to meet. I hope to do more business with them in the future.Thank you Mofoco.

These are the CAN-DO guys! I have *highly-modifed* their 050 racing heads for a radical drag racing VW and there have been some big changes I asked to have done to my heads. Just sent them in and got them back today--they had to manufacture some special tooling to get the job I wanted done. Im sincerely grateful for that extra effort and most impressed that the work was done with such care and turned out sano!Besides some of the highest quality head castings made in the USA, theres almost nothing they cant do if you give them a try. GO HERE

Currently going on 17 days to have a flywheel I ordered on my door step from MOFOCO.I do wish that they would be more informative to the customer about how long it is expected to take.Some people are looking for parts sooner than later and with ZERO effort to communicare on their part myself as the customer gets stuck with a lingering feeling of what is gong on.2 stars, I am unhappy with my experience.Read their BBB reports.

I bought a set of VW 1776 90.5 heads from them. Wow..is all I have to say. Yes, it took 6 weeks as they said it would, but well worth the wait. My buggy never ran so good. Smokes all the other Shriners buggys in our group. They took the time to speak to me on the phone so I could make sure I had all the proper dimensions to get the right heads. Awesome customer service and advice.

Worst experience ever! First of all, when I walked in no one was there to help me I waited forever. When I finally did get help the owner was rude and obnoxious. I could hear him in the back gossiping about people and saying nasty things about some woman. Not sure if she was a customer he was complaining about or what but it was offensive. I walked out as I will not do business with people like that. There is enough hate in this world I dont need to hear it when I go to a supplier.

They are able to do things other shops cant do due to the extreme experience

Avoid this place !! Called ahead was told my part was in stock and would ship same dayd if i ordered ealry enough placed the order i receved an oder comfirmation 3 days later and 7 days later i get an email my part is shipping called and asked for manager (Paul) he was a complete A**hole and had no answer to why i was told it would ship same day or next day and shipped a week later nor did he offer an apology or made an effort to resolve the issue at least refund the express sipping charge but no. This place is a joke of a business stay away unless you need your parts a month later if youre lucky!

Paul Henning is the worst person to talk to at mofoco. The owner Roy will not talk except by email only. Would not recommend buying anything from this company.

I ordered a transmission from them and had to wait over a month and half to receive it. They lied to me on multiple occasions. When I received my transmission they installed the wrong year parts on it and I had to modify my old parts to make it work. They have awful customer service. I would strongly recommend not buying from this company
