This coffee shop is definitely a hidden gem in Middletown. It will be easy to miss the entrance as it sits inside a seems like abandoned warehouse. But once going inside, you’ll find its very spacious and well decorated. There are a bunch of sitting tables and chairs. The coffee is strong and tasty. Unfortunately the scones were sold out today. Will definitely come back.

Swanky little place. My iced Americano was affordable and made right the first time. Love the atmosphere and that there was a local plant seller with amazing plants and stickers and conversation.

Great coffee, one of the best bagels Ive ever had (cheddar). Light and airy, not like a lead balloon. Its not too often I go into a place and hear The Story So Far on the radio, nice.

I work remotely from coffee shops a lot. The service here is excellent, and their Dracula (blended Mocha) drink is honestly the best Ive ever had.

Great feast! The joint is a fun skate themed place with ample room and light. X-Games posters and old skateboard decks made into furniture give it a fun vibe. The Mexican an spiced Cafe is superb must try. I picked up their recommended bean blend roast for my home coffee maker. I love that they are a regional roaster for many local shops even that of my hometown hit The Loaded Goat.

I had dropped by here for a bite for breakfast after seeing the reviews. They definitely hold up to their reviews! Homemade bakery items are amazing and the hospitality is out of this world.

First started visiting this place within the past year and I’ve never been anywhere else for coffee!! The beans are so fresh, ground or whole bean, and the ambiance of this place is calming and welcoming. Prices are reasonable and they have a variety of coffee and different and new coffee flavors frequently! Plus, if you buy a bag of coffee, you get a free small cup of coffee! I was there on 10/9/18 and I had a coffee and muffin both were very good. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and pleasant. At the time I was there the selection of pastry was limited and I am assuming that is because they may not be fully up and running to where they want to be. But, what they did have was good and I will be stopping by when I am in the North end of town.

Their espresso is delicious and they have some of the most fair pricing I’ve seen in a specialty coffee shop. the staff is always super nice in all of their locations too!

Perkatory is easily and by far my favorite small coffee roaster and shop in CT. The staff is wonderful, the drinks are killer, and the snacks are fresh.If you like pop punk, skateboarding, and coffee then this is your spot. If you don’t like those things, check it out anyways, they’ve got spicy hot chocolate and bathrooms are 10/10.Review replies are also 10/10.

First time coming to Perkatory and I have to same I am very impressed, very spacious lay out. This was the best cup of cold brew I had in a long time. The coffee is flavorful, well balanced, and not overly bitter. The vibe of the coffeeshop was also so cool and welcoming!! Will be making more trips here in the future :)

Im a bit of a coffee addict. Ive been to every notable coffee shop in the area, and avoid dunkin and starbucks unless its an emergency.Coffee: Perkatory roasts the best beans. I always order pour-overs so I cant speak to lattes or fancy multi ingredient drinks. But on beans alone Perkatory has the best single origin and blends in the area. I normally stop by for a couple cups but I recently brought home a bag of beans, their holiday blend. And it holds up being made at home as well. Giv coffee is another notable local coffee roaster and a lot of cafes use Giv beans but I believe Perkatory to be superior roasters. (Giv makes great coffee tho no shade.)Location: Hidden off of main street, across from Noras, but with plenty of parking. The space is industrial and skater and super chill. Not pretentious or snobby, always a kind staff, feels like a home away from home, living room vibes. Always supporting local artists and crafters.I love this place.

From the minute I walked in the door, I was happy. The smell was incredible. The vibe was perfect. Staff was super friendly. The coffee is incredible. Central CT has needed a place like this forever. Support them and make sure to tip your baristas for the delicious drinks they create for you!

First time here. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. I wasnt crazy about the particular blend they had on tap *today*. BUT different blends are not going to appeal to everyone. Just like flavors of soda or ice cream. Important: My coffee was nice and Hot. Not warm almost hot. I also like the idea that they roast their own beans. So I will come back if I am in Middletown again.

Absolutely all the staff at Perkatory - they’re all incredibly nice and super helpful! I actually work at a chain coffee shop, and frequent Perkatory quite a bit because I love them so much!! I get the same thing every time I go, but the seasonal lattes and non-coffee beverages are always spot on!

Very good coffee but I have to give it only 1 star as none of the staff or customers were wearing masks which help protect vulnerable and elderly people from a global pandemic(you may have noticed) that has killed 5 million people including 600k + citizens of the USA. I wont be going back.

Nothing better than supporting a local family running their own local shop with amazing direct trade coffees from small farmers. The north end of Middletown has great businesses and Perkatory Roasters has been an incredible addition to it. Definitely give them a try! And as always, tip your baristas! They keep smiling even when the service industry has been ravished by the ongoing pandemic, I appreciate everything they do to keep it a safe environment for all

I’ve tried this place a few times with different menu items. Cool concept but None have been nearly as good as my usual spot rebel dog. I wanted this place to be good because it’s closer to me but it’s just not my taste. Also there’s an awkward moment where they ask for a tip on the screen at checkout. They don’t let you click yourself like at other restaurants due to covid.

I don’t live close to Middletown and I will find any excuse to go get perkatory coffee. Any chance I’m driving through the state I make it a point to stop. Not only is their coffee phenomenal, their staff is friendly and always helps when I don’t know what to order, and the owners are amazing. You can tell by the way they treat their staff, space, and beans. All their blood sweat and tears show and I am thrilled they are opening more locations hopeful for one here on the shoreline! Always worth the trip!!

Great coffee, awesome owners, the skate theme is cool. 3 hours away but Im in the area a lot for business and I always stop in.They also shipped my online coffee bean order less than 10 minutes after I placed it this morning

Excellent artisanal coffees. The food selection seems a bit limited and the orange cranberry muffin that I had was a very good muffin but not much orange or cranberry in it. The staff is all m.j very friendly.

We visited the Southington location. Staff was very nice and my iced latte tasted great. I bought a bag of their Three Witches blend to try at home. The blend looks like a combination of both medium and dark roast beans. I tried it as an espresso and it was delicious. I rarely find espresso that doesn’t leave a bitter taste in my mouth so I’m very happy with this. Would highly recommend!

Im not even a coffee drinker, but Im very into their lattes. Ive tried several flavors and theyre all excellent. Ive also bought their bags of coffee as a special treat for my friends and family. Highly recommend.

Stopped here as I was passing through Middletown. Very friendly staff and they make a mean pour-over. Lots of cool merch to check out and they do sell their own coffee blends in take-home bags!

Excellent coffee. They have a variety of flavors, styles, hot/cold. A CBD coffee was being offered at the time of my visit. Extremely clean. Everything is covid adapted. There is a table for called in orders and a cute little skeleton sits at the table to keep those coffees company. Staff is very nice

I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Such a cool spot, and has plenty of seating inside. Their cold brew has become my favorite, it is so good!!! Perfect place to get a coffee and some beans to take home. Parking is usually pretty easy as there are spots for Perkatory customers. Also, I think most or all of their cups are recycled or compostable.

Love this spot. I usually get a pour-over with one of their roasts and they are always so good. The vibe is an awesome punk-rock, skater spot with skate videos always playing. I love going and setting up my laptop for a bit and get some work done while the punk soundtrack, or the coffee, gets me going.

I love getting the coffee they roast here; its fantastic. As a customer, if you dont like the music, do what I do: bring a pair of headphones.

As my friend says, Perkatory does not play around with caffeine content. This place has great coffee. The space itself is huge, and is somehow warm and welcoming even though theres a naked skeleton sitting at their counter. They have like, four types of alternative milk to put in your coffee (almond, soy, coconut, oat), which is great. Good place to go and do some work.

One of my favorite coffee shops!

We went in there for the first time today and were greeted by a very sweet woman. She whipped us up one of the coffee specials real quick.... Im sure most people would like what we ordered, however we didnt and couldnt really drink it. We ended up going back up to the counter to ask if she could maybe make us something else we liked. Not only did she do that, but she refunded us for the first coffees and served us the second set of coffees for free on the house. She went out of her way to make it a good experience and was so kind. What a cool place!

My family and I visited Perkatory today and we all enjoyed our coffees. We felt it was a perfect balance of flavor. The owners were very kind and it was a very relaxing environment. We saw people from all backgrounds and walks of life. This makes sense given the welcoming nature of this place. I would definitely recommend!

Such a hidden gem - I have absolutely no idea how I did not hear about Perkatory sooner! Everything was amazing- the atmosphere, seating, coffee selection, service, creativity. I will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend Perkatory to a friend. My only disappointment is that I somehow didnt come across this coffee shop earlier!

Cool place great staff and excellent coffee.

I absolutely love it here, the coffee is fantastic the food is great and the atmosphere is perfect. My favorite coffee roaster in CT when I can’t make it there I order fresh beans online but the store front is everything I want in a coffee shop. Large seating area so you’re not on top of the tables next to you. You can have a conversation without having to whisper, there’s also plenty of comfortable tables if you want to sit alone and do work without being bothered. Visit here, you won’t be disappointed!

We live in Middletown and this is our go to coffee spot. They have all the regular/classic coffee options and they also always have a unique/seasonal option you can only get at Perkatory. The people are super friendly and helpful. Love this place!

I bought a pound of the Brazil beans. I love it! Ive been drinking it black. I normally put sugar in my coffee. I am also not normally into hops but he asked me to try the hopped nitro cold brew. I loved that too! Its a very light hop flavor that doesnt take over and make it bitter. Great products! Nice people.

They have 8 different blends plus their own house, frozen blended drinks, all the alternative milks and even fun extras like a shot of CBD or a sprinkle of Chili Powder. But if you just like regular coffee, thats awesome here too. They grind their beans in house! You can watch it!The staff is the most friendly. They always smile and say good morning.The atmosphere is clearly Alt rock/punk inspired. Which is fun!I think they could do a bit more with food/food display and maybe more seating.

Great little hidden coffee shop! They have a huge variety of drinks. Vanilla chai is delicious! Pastry is pretty good. I think its hit or miss with the pastry. One day it was great the next time was stale and lacked flavor. I believe they bring in there pastry. It would be great if they could bring in cupcakes from Nora Cupcakes. Its right across the street. Staff friendly. Atmosphere is pretty cool. The place is in an old warehouse so it has an industrial feel. Not easily seen from the road.

Been going there for a while and love the coffee. Usually the people are nice and friendly but today the scrawny guy cashing me out was anything but friendly. Seemed to not want to take my order without an attitude. Hope hes ok
