For many years I knew Hilti Tools were a quality product having been in construction since 1989. Unfortunately for me I never seemed to have the available funds to equip my company with their tools.Several years ago I downsized and now work with a limited loyal staff. I finally made the decision to start acquiring Hilti Tools.There were several things that stand out for me- and directly they have nothing to do with the tools they sell. What draws me the most happens to be the culture at Hilti and I would like to extend my appreciation not only for my account rep Larry but to Steve and Jacqueline that work there. Their purpose is to make sure you test every tool that you are considering purchasing and allow you to try it out. Larry’s first words were “I’d like to set something up to show you the equipment we offer tailored to your specific needs at your active job site.I thought I had to spend $1200 for a chipping hammer when actually the $900 one would be less fatiguing and just as durable. If you time your situation right you can acquire a Hilti Grinder from what I call the “sample bar” at $30 bucks off. Those folks are there to make sure you have what you need. As a contractor in Florida and having spent over $6000 on Hilti tools, i was very disappointed to find out the hard way about Hiltis warranty. One of my drills did not want to start and after contacting the repair/warranty department, Hilti did not want to honour the 20/2/1 warranty. Basically the warranty is only for 2 years not 20. 20 years is only for defects from the manufacturer or Hilti and when I emailed the department they did not even want to look at the drill to see if this would quality and automatically assumed its a wear and tear warranty which is 2 years. My drill is 4 years old. Anyways, I will be considering a Metabo when I buy tools next time as they have a 3 year warranty. Buyer beware, I was very disappointed after I liked Hilti very much and always thought they build a better tool. But disappointed that they dont stand behind their product. GREAT ! I give 5 ***** I work for DPR concret division, I put it to the test shipping hammer drills do a lots of drilling, chiping the skillsaw is awesome batteries last longer and if you batteries are replaced if they do not work I do recommend it great company 👍 😉 👌
