I went in yesterday because I saw a post up on their Instagram account of new released pops, and came in specifically for the new release Gohan 106 from the Dragon Ball Z collection. He was the last remaining from the drop and Im just glad I made it to see the last one. Big dragon ball fan! Besides that I ran into an android 18 figure that I thought was pretty cool to post. She is one of my fav. Dragon Ball Z characters after all. Its a pretty nice vibe. I definitely love stopping by Korka. Nice experience everytime.

I try to search everywhere for Funko Pops. I also am not cheap about it when although I love lower prices. Today I paid 24.99 for an Ursala as Vanessa Pop. Damage on box. They did let me try to exchange it but that box had damage as well. I just took the pop and left. So double check all merchandise before you leave. They are a bit on the pricey side but that is expected. Great variety of comics, again inspect the merchandise before you leave. Cool atmosphere, the women workers are kind and nice, havent ran into the males or owner. I bought another pop for 15.00 randomly to support the business, box was a 7, so fairly nice quality. Digital receipts. Im willing to give this place another try, but I feel I can find rare pops cheaper and in better condition then what I found here.

Great store! Its nice having a store packed full of collectible figures old and new. Ive been here many times and I always walk out with something good. They offer a very fair 20% purchasing price for Pops and collectibles if they want anything from your collection. I went there yesterday and sold a box of pops on the spot which is better than trying to sell each individual pop myself over a longer period of time. I took the money and used it to buy other collectibles that I had my eye on. Win-Win! The staff here is friendly and Juan was professional and kind. We talked about our collections. On another note, honestly, I see a lot of people complaining about Pop pricing... I got to say that all prices are negotiable if you really have a good argument for that item being overpriced then speak up. This applies to literally any secondhand store - its called haggling people, look it up! And as far as overpriced Pops go, they have and entire rack with maybe two hundred Pops that are sold around 12 dollars but they have an online value of 20 dollars or more for many items, you just have to look. If something is overpriced then the customer needs to negotiate or buy it somewhere else. Very simple.I really like this place, its friendly and full of good things. I would recommend 5/5

Terrible place, they were rude and had the worst customer service. I was here with my boyfriend and his dad just looking around for pops and they sold us a pop for $50 when online, you can buy the same pop for under $20 or even less in certain places. We went back to the store once we figured out that we were SCAMMED and the guy basically just laughed in our faces and said there was nothing he could do. Do not come here unless you want to be robbed of your money. Look online or try another place for the item you want instead and save your money.*edit*After leaving my review I went to go read other reviews to see if anyone else had experienced something similar to me. Come to found out that yup, this is a terrible place. As mentioned, the person there was rude and didn’t even greet us as we walked in. We said hello and barely got a look from the worker. Another thing that people seem to be saying is that their stuff is wayyyy overpriced which is completely true as I stated above. Then they can’t even help you one bit once you make it aware to them that they took your money. Just save your time and money and skip this store.

Typical overstocked and overpriced items and clique like staff. The back issues were a mess and obviously not ever cared for, a section of loose boxes with loose comics is apparently not for sale in the customer section, right next to similar items that ARE for sale, but the douche behind the counter has be passive aggressive about how you cant look through those. Then dont put them out!!! Nobody in the staff said a word to me for 10 mins until that moment. Very unwelcome atmosphere.Ive been a collector for decades, this store has zero appeal and absolutely nothing special about it that makes me want to support it, because it does more harm to the mom and pop true comic collectibles stores than good by existing with its current business model.Shame on Korka comics.

I have been to Korka Comics on several occasions, both at the Miami location and the Pembroke Pines location, and I have always had a pleasant and smooth experience. I’ve collected Funko POPs for a while now and they always have such a HUGE collection and variety in stock. And if you’re looking for a more rare POP, they have some behind the counter at fair market prices, given that they obviously have to make a profit in order to keep a business running. I will continue to shop at Korka Comics for years to come!

Good selection of rare funko pops. However prices are high on many items. Card packs are lacking, not a single pokemon pack last visit (gamestop had plenty in stock same day). Also, every visit my son or nephews select items from the bargain bin, the staff says, sorry that wasnt supposed to be in there, and tries to charge full price, even on items that are already opened that I watch them pull from the box thats says sale items. Many other items have no price marked such as comic storage boxes or cards sleeves and they give no itemized receipt so a mystery as to what you just paid for. I enjoy the place, been visiting for years with family and but something each time, but it leaves much to be desired.Update: I went in again this week. I was looking around and a customer went up to the register to pay and was greeted by the cashier giving him a price that was way over the listed price for the section where the person got the item. The person was so disappointed & was not able to afford it for the price they say it really costs compared to the price they saw the item listed for on the shelf. I walked out with that person a few minutes later and they were extremely upset and let down still talking to their wife/GF about how they cant believe how much the price was. SO.. they have not fixed the issues I mentioned in my original review at all, and were still out of pokemon cards, the card place a block away had boxes of pokemon cards & packs as well.

So heres a tale of my adventure to korkas, or hell, the name is interchangeable. So I walk in and the shop owner says hi, ok good start. But thats the extent of the conversation youll get with him. Every time Ive walked in hes talking the phone so you know hes got better things to do than run the shop. Whatever Im here to buy comics. Moving on.So Im looking for a specific marvel comics. Lets find the marvel section right? Wrong. Hmm heres some marvel but I dont see it, must be further down the row. Oh nope that DC, maybe the other side? Oh no thats more DC. WAIT, there marvel all the way down here, why are they not together? Fine whatever. Now the horror that is getting your comic book out of the shelf, the shelf is wood and its JUST the right size for the comic to fit meaning the comics scratches the top and bottom. God its like nails on a chalkboard if youre a collector. Now the lip, good god the lip. The shelf has a lip that raises so when you go to pull the comic that fit perfectly you now need to put it at like a 45 degree angle and rip it from the claws that is korkas. Im cringing just writing this. Fine I now have my comic, not bagged and boarded, a common practice for shops now aday.Ok now the shops atmosphere, a broken bathroom, lighting that makes it feel like youre in a shop youd find in Hialeah, and sometimes a smell. This place isnt pretty. White Walls and white floors and everything feels musty. Why am I here, this shop is atrocious this guy hasnt even interacted with me.Im leaving the shop now, where comics go to die.UPDATE: I just learned the shop owner asks people to leave him good reviews for discounts. This is sad.

This store... Is okay... Where this store SEVERELY FALTERS is their back issues. Although they have a MASSIVE selection, it means nothing due to how COMPLETELY UNORGANIZED they all are... Unfortunately it seems like the staff has completely given up on that section of the store because almost every time I visit, theyre behind the counter reading instead of putting time into organizing the back issues. They have a ton of long boxes on the floor of issues they have completely ignored because there is ABSOLUTELY NO ORDER to them, and then they have the tabletop level of back issue long boxes that are also a MESS but slightly organized (only when compared to the ones on the floor).Although they usually keep good stock of recent issues, if you wait long enough theyll just throw them into dollar boxes instead of organizing them. Its a shame because they have a HUGE selection of back issues but its UTTERLY NEGLECTED.Being a previous owner of a comic shop myself, I understand the work that goes into organizing such a huge catalog of books but, its part of the job. Theres SO MUCH LOST CAPITAL just sitting in boxes waiting to be bought, and its truly a shame. Please fix this Korka... If you did, Id be a regular customer for your back issues. I just want to give you my money!I will say that out of the 3 Korka locations, they have the biggest Funko Pop and figure selection, and their shelves of paperbacks and hardcovers are plentiful. If only theyd put more effort into organizing the back stock as they do everything else.

Korka Comics was my sons favorite place to go. He could be in there for hours if you let him. He is 13 and autistic. Why do I mention this? He inspects each figure with precise focus and gives us his review on it. We went in on Sunday 8/2/20 to get 2 My Hero Acadamia Mcfarlane Toys figures. We paid part cash part debit and was not offered neither a paper receipt or offered an email receipt. When we got home my son opened up the Bakugo. When putting the arm accessories he noticed the articulation joint was loose causing the arms to just swing off of position. The top torso articulation pops off easily when trying to position the figure. I told my son to put everything back in the box as I was positive that it wouldnt be an issue. I called ahead to inform them of the issue and that I wasnt given a receipt. After explaining the issue on hand I was informed that no refunds or returns were accepted as stated on the receipt (which I didnt get). So basically it is a gamble to buy from Korka Comics because as the owner stated he cant take a loss so I guess I the consumer ends up loosing. Down $27. I actually have found these figures on Ebay for less with fast and free shipping. I know there may be figures out there with defects caused during production, but the consumer shouldnt have to basically be told too bad. Thats pretty much what I heard the owner tell me.SincerelyFormer CustomerI agree that you never said too bad but if the merchandise is defective and you dont take it back then Korca Comics policy a.k.a your policy says too bad. Im mostly hurt that my son ends up getting disappointed by his favorite shop. You have the worst policy ever for an industry that kids love

Honestly, this is one of those cases where you can get so much more by going somewhere else. The store was okay, but the customer service left much to be desired. When I went, I was not helped at all and the workers just kept to themselves. The comic book variety could be better as well, as most of the books were older issues. Again, the store was *okay* but you could have a much better experience in other comic book shops.

Review №55

I have a lot to say here.First off, the customer service here is severely lacking. I go to almost any other store and when I ask where a book title is, they actually walk me to the book and maybe even talk to me a bit. Over here, theyll say its over there, everything is in alphabetical order and then keep doing something else. I get maybe if they were busy, but they hardly ever are. No regard for first time customers.Secondly, their back issues are WAY over priced. They charge anywhere from $5-$10 on most back issues, none of which are key issues. You can find Squirrel Girl #4 (who the f*** actually reads that) for $5.... I wouldnt pay 5 cents for that. But most importantly, lets talk about their subscriber discounts. Since thats ultimately what matters to us who have a very expensive hobby. They will give you a WHOPPING, DOOR BUSTING, CROWD TRAMPLING 10% off new titles. That is just sad, honestly. Every other store in Miami gives you at bare minimum 15%. Theres a store literally 4 miles from them that gives you 25%. And they try to make up for it with a 50% off back issues, but the problem is theyre already doubling the price of back issues so youre basically paying cover price for old books. MAYBE if they included bag and boards for free then one could argue its reasonable. But not even, so enjoy paying Near Mint prices for a Fine/Very Fine at best condition book. The only reason I dont give them a 1 star is because they do have tables for you to play tabletop/card games, which is cool, and they do have a nice display of statues. But.. Those statues are severely over priced. If theres any advice I could give management; Money talks. Your store is right across from a university. College kids dont have money, yet you charge the most for new titles, back issues, and statues. No appeal to subscribe here.

This is what I dont understand, you as an owner have a responsibility to your customer to better your store. Whether you take this seriously or not you have that responsibility. I never listen to bad reviews I rather find out for myself, thats exactly what I did. Found out that all the bad reviews hold true, why is that?!You keep telling people here to email you if they have other further concerns yet all the concerns are already written here and they all have something in common: Horrible Horrible Customer service. You literally have complaints trending of the same thing from 5 months ago and still happening now. Clearly you as an owner is just asking to email further concerns and just brushing them off, you cant say you care about these feedback and do nothing. I dont even have to tell you what my experience was because its the same as everyone else.Whether you take this seriously or file it under: Haters gonna Hate do what you wish. Clearly, it will show whether you care or not when things change...Good Luck.Update: 1/30/19So, now that Im responding, youre counting this as real?!are you serious?! just because people arent responding to you, you claim that they are fake accounts?! That makes no sense.Let me give you an example: If you had a bad experience with a particular store and you had your piece and say, would you email again to elaborate how bad the experience you had? that makes no sense...if a person comments and rates and tells you already what kind of experience they had you then go a head and ask them....ohh please email me and elaborate more?!And what competitor are you talking about?! youre a comic book store...you have no competitor you sell paper!!You are a shinning example of how things work in todays society dumb down all legitimate claims and say they are not real in hopes the public will follow through. To be blunt, you have way too much people saying yes to you that your ego has taken over thinking you can do no wrong. But hey, just file this under haters...and sleep soundly asleepAlso, Im responding here so that it does not get brush off as FAKE If I emailed instead.

There were more than 20 titles and you had us take 1 to 2 books and you had the audacity to have us linger around for your sale?! Seriously?! They have as much pops as their second location but barely comics.....things were unorganized....yeah, they have old ones but they have so much of books people wouldn’t buy much of, they still have so much copies of one issue from like months ago...I asked for the prices of the back issues that have which by the way sits on top of a table (unlike their other location) Open top, next to an open can of soda....I was told it was 50% off if I become a subscriber...my math isn’t great but one of the books I saw was marked $7.99 50% off that is $3.99....which is retail?!....why say 50% off?!....just sell it for retail....after I made my purchase it seemed like it was such trouble for the employees to leave his political discuss with someone and food to cash me out...I’m sorry I guess!....he ask if I wanted bag and boards I said yes....but I didn’t know until after I looked at my receipt that I got charge...for a silver age bag and boards....he didn’t mentioned there is an extra charge...and they didn’t give me the right one....they could have at least bagged it for me they just kinda placed it on top of my books for me to bag. I asked for a price of one of the comic books they have behind the counter and it was tripled the price....it was a Batman Annual and it wasn’t even a special variant it’s just first print first cover. Before I started to leave the person asked me to rate them a 5 star on google and told me that my next visit I receive an extra discount for doing so?!....heckling for ratings?!....Wow!....their other location was way better....way friendlier, this was disappointing....if you’re up around Pembroke Pines visit their other location it’s great compare to this...if you’re in Miami, there are other stores....trust me....just google other comic book store in Miami but not this.....

Korka is awesome and great service. Really helpful if you dont know what youre looking for. If they dont have it, theyll order it for you. Also beats having to drive to Broward to go to an awesome comics shop.

Okay, this is a doozy. Ive been in a lot of comic book shops, and for the most part, theyre a fairly traditional comic book shop. However, one thing has evolved which is the customer service. Most retail stores care about the fact that youre there as a customer and that youre there to be served. Its called customer service. None of that happened here. When I came in, nobody greeted me. Literally two or three workers (one of them might have just been a friend of theirs), and they were having some kind of discussion in the corner. Not even a hello, just a nod. The most drawing part of this store is their wall of Funko pops, but they only have two aisles of comics, and for the most part, theyre repeat titles, and they have a lot of those. Needless to say, not much selection in comic books... but they have pops, I guess. *thumbs up* What irks me most about the store is the severe lack of greeting or care. I couldve stolen a pop if I wanted to and nobody wouldve noticed. They spent most of my time there bashing another comic book store and talking politics rather than serving their customers. I guess its not a surprise since the owner is running for office, I guess. Overall, Im not expecting a 5-star treatment. Just anything, really. If youre looking to grab your stuff and get out, and if you value pops more than comic books, this is the place for you. Trust me, you dont have to worry about being bothered.

It was really cool seeing the wide variety of comics, action figures, Funko Pops, and many other collectables in there! The staff there are really chill and informative. And plus, to pass the time waiting for lets say if you bring friends or family and they are taking a bit of a while to get what they want, you can play this Deadpool pinball game thats the first thing you see when you walk in that requires 2 quarters to play! My friends and me were really hooked on the game and probably spent a good 20 minutes taking turns in the same game, I wasnt sure if the game ends!

Best comic book store in Miami hands down. No need to BS you with a fake image or a fake personality. This is a true comics fan shop. The prices on keys are on par with the market while other shops in the area are pushing the prices 5 or 10 times higher than the going rate. They have no need for fancy pointless presentations they get you with knowledge and real customer service. Biggest plus is no need to pre-pay your subscription. They go above and beyond to secure your pull list and respect their customers. Incredible funko pop selection, a large amount of back issues, amazing statues and awesome toys. This has become my favorite comic store in Miami.

Great selection of figures, cards, and comics all with very reasonable prices. When you go in, there is always people playing Magic or D&D. It would help the store a lot if they organized it and clean it up a bit, but other than that, is a great place to get your magic/yugi/comic etc fix.

Here is how Im going to start this and it will end the same way: Go and see for yourself....Now thats out of the way:Pros:I love the funko wall, statues and figurines...there is an insane amount of memorabilia....There is a gaming table for card tournaments....Cons:I was greeted, that was it....that was the only acknowledgement of my existence in the store...Funny enough when I was greeted there was just a person behind the counter and someone else sitting on one of the table on their phone. There was a certain smell in the store, but I didnt mind I got use to it but to some it can definitely be over whelming. There isnt much comic books there, I mean they have comic books but in long boxes and way too squeeze together it can damage the spine (if youre a big collector its a big No,No...If youre also still collecting the new books...I dont know....there is way too much copies of one issue per title....it seems like they tried to get the 1:100s and they dont have enough customer base to sell all the items.I felt uncomfortable in the place it had a feeling that I wasnt welcome, mainly, maybe, because they kept glaring at me as if Im stealing...or maybe because of all the political talk mixed with hardcore profanity with Im assuming one of their regulars, why get into intense political discussion in a comic book store and not mind how it makes others feel around them?Over all it seems like this store caters to certain type of customers Im assuming; politically fueled, say what you want (Hardcore Profanity) and not mind others around you (I mean some professional curtesy would be nice). I was not attended to at all. I made my one comic book purchase where I took it from their shelves made of wood that just fits the height of the books so it grind the bottom and top of the books so yeah...its damaged. I was asked if I wanted bag and boards I said yes. Now, Ive been used to comic book stores charging for bag and boards so I dont care about that...its the fact that they did not tell me there is an extra charge....when there is an extra charge you tell people...why hide it?The brief conversation I had wasnt meaningful at all it seemed like I was a burden to them when I was waiting for their conversation to finish about some president and illuminate or something....Over all: Go See For Yourself Experience this store on your own...reading these comments I agree on some but not all...it seems like the ones giving this store a 5 star are friends of them friends can be customers that is true...but opinion are bias.Their Pembroke Pines location is way....WAYY....Better! its an actual comic book store. Youre better off just googling other comic book store in Miami.

Its a little nook with a good selection of comics and it is fairly quiet, thd staff is aproachable and helpful. And they have a rather large stock of pop figures, so if you are a fan it is worth checking out.
