I went to the shop recently with my 7 year old to inquire about Pokemon cards as he is interested in learning about the game. We came on recommendation from an acquaintance Needless to say, we left empty handed, with no more knowledge of the trading card game than we had when we stepped in. The establishment smelled HORRID! The customers and staff were using foul language like it was the norm. My child and I stood IN FRONT OF THE FRONT DESK for over 10 MINUTES before some older man finally looked at us and asked if we needed assistance, but in THE MOST bothered tone of voice I have ever heard from a grown adult. Like, it was on par with the tweenagers I work with as a middle school counselor. I asked the gentleman if he could give us any information on the Pokemon card game, and he flat out told us that he did not know about the game but then tried to sell me some VERY expensive tin boxes. I regretfully had to turn to my 7 year old boy and explain to him that we were going to leave the store without purchasing anything. Any parent of a young child can imagine how THAT conversation went. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! If you are a parent looking to go to this establishment with your children, just save yourself the hassle. Its not worth it. I found that YouTube is full of plenty of information on how to play the game, and many YouTubers will inform their viewers on how to build decks and what cards to use. We will be buying cards elsewhere if we can find them for sure.

I received my cards bent and creased. In an ordinary envelope no protection for a completely rare set.... all the cards... 25 in total are bent or damaged in some way from the package and its travel no doubt and I call the number to talk to someone and they dont even want to deal with the issue. Tell me send an email.... like really? I have a human on the phone and u want me to type a message to a damn automated email box and wait on the computer to give a damn more than the human.... ill wait

All and all a good store to hang out but it honestly could be a lot better, from card pricings to just taking care more of not only its costumers but its employees.

This dump is honestly an insult to the community. They are a Covid hotspot because they didn’t enforce masks or social distancing throughout the pandemic. They scale their packs, so don’t expect to ever have a fair chance at anything. They’re just in it for profit, without remorse for who they scam.TLDR; Positive Pathogen Games needs to be shut down by more than a few agencies.

This review has to do with the chilling reign elite trainer box pre order that I made on 04/29/2021 where I believed that they were to be released on the 18th of June. To my surprised I saw that they got rid of the preorder now released date on 6/18 message on the etb page on their website leading me to believe that they must have gotten the stock early, however when i passed by the store to inquire about it they told me that they had all sold out and when i asked if they dont put some aside for the preorders they told me they did but that they still sold out and now they wont get their next shipment of stock until next month. They had the preorder now released on 6/18 message on the etb page until the end of last week where now it shows just out of stock, if they had the stock already in store why still have it as preorder now on your website until you sold off all of your stock and then get rid of the preorder now on the web page, at least send out a email saying that the item you preordered is now available at store because now I have to wait an extra month to get my preorder when I was lead to believe that the etbs would release on 6/18. They also mix their pre orders with their in store stock as I also preordered the chilling reign booster box and before I picked it up the website said 38 available and once picked up it said 36, meaning that my preordered was just counted as their walk in or buy online stock so if I had not picked it up before they sold out they wouldnt have kept mine to the side and I would have to wait a longer time for it. My previous time shopping here have been great but this is honestly just a really disappointing way to know I wont get my preorder until much later.

The store is not what it used to be. It always looks and smells like the place hasnt been cleaned in a while, they never have anything available when Im looking for something within the store, staff can be rude at times, their stock is never properly organized, I cant find any cards Im looking for in their website unless its MTG or Pokemon, aside from the manager the rest of the staff doesnt seem to know what promotions they are offering at times, no matter how many times Ive mentioned my concerns as a customer, it seams to all fall on deaf ears. Overall needs improvement, and the owner seems to have jumped ship a long time ago because it seems as he doesnt care what happens. Its no wonder many people I know have decided to go to their competitors instead.

My review was removed so rating one star. Gave praise to the place for its well managed staff but the horrible smell this place has is a concern. Thank god we have to use masks but even then it still lingers. No one wants to go into a shop for fun and have a funky smell the entire time there. Instead of removing a review please just reply that you guys will make changes to fix that in the future for other customers.

At first, umm, I had a bit of a setback with some products and singles, but after frequenting the place and understanding that it is in Miami and a well-renowned store, you can understand why they can have issues with stock.So, starting with that let me say this. I am not biased towards this store, but I recognize hard work. They are a work in progress especially during pandemic times, but they do have a lot of stock and constantly update it.They also price match and offer the lowest prices. DO NOT Expect this to be Walmart, but they do offer a lot of great items, games, and product.Also, I don’t know where the comments of the store smells comes from, but I have been there plenty of times and I have never smelled any odors aside from the cleanliness. They also contract people to come sanitize the store very frequently.Overall,Great store, hard working people, and amazing quality of products, events, and collectables.

Shining fates ETB for 130.00 on Feb 20th, 2021 even Though set came out on Feb 19th, 2021.A little extreme. The set hasnt been out for 24 hours since my visit so i hope competition from big box retailers isnt an excuse. there hasnt even been 24 hour competition. And for there to be competition there would have to be MORE product in big box retailers. IF you travel youd find no product around the area in big box retailers. But if you come here there is WAY MORE product being sold at more than 100% above MSRP. I have already contacted the Pokémon company well. Since you can find this shop on their website.

Great shop for magic with a lot of nice players

Best card shop in the Central South Miami area, right in front of the FIU, and always hosting tornaments for Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, Etc, with a large card inventory. I definitely recommend the spot!

Really nice card shop and gaming in one. They have a really nice bug area full of tables to play your favorite card games or board games. They have a place to record matches too with camera like live stream. The card shop area has pokemon, magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and more. Card sleeves, dice, boxes. Computers with price checking, a box to look through and pick out cards your want to buy. You can sell cards back to them too. I was happy to see pokemon packs and boxes in stock, prices are a little high on those, but since they are sold out everywhere I guess its expected. If they had and pokemon at retail prices I would give a 5, but i give a 4.5, its the best card shop in the area by far.

Apparently their local post office is incredibly slow. Dont assume an order will arrive on time.

Whenever I need something card game related PPG seems to have it either in their competitive binders or their in store storage. I came looking for specific cards but also left with a dragonball z statue because they also have some anime merch too. Spacious area, cool music, and friendly/informative staff about cards. Will visit again soon for weekly tournaments

I dont know if judges are there for the judge promo cards only, because they change rules a lot expecially if it is to help one of their friends not caring for others. The sunday side events the winner would get a box and they had no box why offer a box if you dont have them for the winner, team war was as bad they kept changing the start time so their people in yugioh had time to join dbs . first experience was bad Only when is a bandai tournament there is no mess I been told.

Local regular players are definitely favored over others. We drove from Central Florida to participate in a tournament and did not feel welcomed by their community.

I felt rip-offed after selling my Pokemon cards. I had 1995-1999 Pokemon cards (Bad Condition) and about 100-200 of them. I went to the counter, and the guy said ill sell you flareon holo for 2 bucks, my lt.surge Japanese raichu holo for 1 dollar, and the rest for a dollar. I checked on other online websites only to find out it was supposed to be way more. But I sold the 2 cards and kept the rest because didnt want to waste my 1 1/2 hours trying to get there. Dont go here if you are selling your old Pokemon cards, because youll regret it.

The staff here is outstanding. Very helpful and informative. Very competitive pricing and open space to play your games in. Like many gems, the place may not look 5 stars, but its what is inside, and inside here is a place that has won my business after 20 plus years of shopping at Past Present Future.

Not happy to say this but the MTG tournament setup is a joke.... this store has potential but it needs to work at it. Spoke to store employees about Prerelease/Release information about MTG tournament structure earlier today. Essentially they had no prepay structure which meant no count on players attending the actual events... which means no idea if 10 or 60 people will show and no idea what prize support will truly look like in the end... There is a large competitive MTG scene in Miami and its sad to see these guys just waste that large space they have. The guy that answered the phone didnt even know they were hosting a release tomorrow when asked. I wont be attending any of their events. I recommend competitive MTG players should stick to other shops in the area for larger tournaments.

I went there with my friends for the first time. Under close observation this establishment was very under kept. Not only are the television sets missing stands and wires, the floor was absolutely disgusting, being covered in trash and old food puddles. My friend and I went to go take a quick walk down the street and we return to have the place just wreaking of weed and was giving us a major headache. Employees werent too kind to us when visiting. Players didnt clean up after themselves before leaving. Its overall a 1/5 place:2/5 for environment.1/5 for hospitality.1/5 for cleanliness.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I play Pokémon Tcg and I visited this store today for a ARG tournament and did not felt welcome at all. I asked one of the associates for wi-fi cause I dont have a data plan on my phone and needed the internet and the associate did not provided the password and did a page joking about if anyone wants wi-fi he is charging $5 for a month; I felt like he was making fun of me, it was disrespectful and ot professional. I have visited a lot of stores and never had a problem getting a Wi-Fi password. The other thing that was not right is ltreating local players better than non local players, me and my friends wanted to know if they were giving Pokémon unbroken bonds packs as prize support for the arg or selling and we asked the associate because we saw customer opening boxes and someone from cape coral bought a Unbroken elite trainer box and the associate said that he was not selling Unbroken and the why of the boxes is that they pre-order those boxes. Third I didnt like customer service slow and unfriendly.

Strictly for Yu-Gi-Oh! This place was my first introduction to real competitive play, emphasis on the competitive part. That is not these guys fault, its just a bit poor in quality for many reasons compared to other stores. What is irritating however, is their management. I stopped playing over there after a while since my schedule doesnt allow me to make time for it. And due to low attendance I remember that they changed their Friday night tournaments to Saturday. However their website still states that it is on Friday at 7:30pm. Long ago I made it known to their staff and they tried to fake it off as if I was wrong.Months later, I have a Saturday available and make plans and drive from Homestead and arrive at 7:30pm only to arrive discover that it is actually at 5:30pm. I asked the staff and made it very clear that their website, although frequently updated still shows their event page having friday nights at 7:30 to which they kindly responded to check their facebook page, which is fair but I do not have a facebook and honestly I dont see the reason as to why I should have one and make them my priority. Also why have a website if its not fully updated. This isnt the first time however, a couple of months before I went on a Wednesday to find the store closed cuz they left on an event and I had no knowledge of this, I did find out through their facebook page but only way after I wasted gas, time, and toll money on a pointless drive.Despite its flaws I still have a soft spot for this place specially now that Im playing more competitively but theyve disappointing me for the last time. The staff is really nice (except for a few) so I didnt make a fuzz of it to ruin their day, instead I leave a warning to future visitors who come here for other interest .
