Apparently, the communal table and bar are first-come-first-serve, so if you are a small party (1-2 people), thats one way to get around the wait.I ordered a chicken cobb salad $14 which was generously sized and tasted great. My only complaint is that they had some big pieces of romaine ends that really shouldnt have been in the salad.My boyfriend ordered the Neptune Benedict $15, which came with large pieces of crab and shrimp. He felt that it was too cheesy, but I enjoyed it. It comes with hash browns, which were quite thick and not super crispy.I also tasted a friends banana french toast, which was tasty but so sweet that Im not sure I could have finished a whole plate. Pancakes looked good too!

I am not sure if they got new owners or what, but the menu listed on google and the menu now has changed dramatically in terms of price. 3 of us sat easily 45 minutes for two breakfast bowls and french toast. The french toast was $17 for two pieces of white bread cut in half. The ‘salad’ that came with the breakfast bowl was just lettuce, along with a piece of plain bread. Not awful food but below average at best and not at all worth the price. The restaurant is located in the middle of a wind tunnel so sitting outside was awful. I’m not sure what is going on here but this place needs to get it together. (Our waitress was very nice, I believe it is a management issue here)

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a fabulous evening and the restaurant was evidently the reason for this fruitful event. The stuff cooperated in a lovely style, the food was delicious and my guests were very joyful. We shall surely visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Got two bowls to go. Asked for chicken to be substituted in one but received beef anyway. 80% of the bowl is rice. Sweet plantains are dry and tough. Meat is alright but bland. The yucca and cheese pastry is amazing though!

Love this place for lunch. Great food, fast, and well priced. To be fair, Ive only ever gotten their cafeteria style plates to go and have not ordered off the menu. Nevertheless, the employees are all amazing and super nice.

Its ok. Decent lunch option. The rice is usually a put hard and its hit or miss with their lunch of the day. Breakfast is a pretty good deal however.

Bad Customer Service and Cold Food- The employee was rude and rushed us to order. We travel from DC and review google and Tripadvisor for great spots to eat. We had four restaurants picked for this trip and we enjoyed 3 out of 4. Palmas Cafe was the worst. My husbands food was cold. The two stars is for the avocado toast- really good. I would not recommend someone visiting Miami to eat here. There are so many other places to choose from. Eat at your own risks.

I work across the street from Palmas Cafe so I am very lucky to have such a nice place to have lunch in no time. Their breakfast is also out of this world. Food is excellent (of course: is Cuban food!). I love to got here because they always have a smile and excellent service for you.Thank you Palmas Cafe!

I live 1 block away in Brickell and they just reopened for delivery and takeout. I have been there many times before so I was glad they reopened. The owner said they are offering just the Bowls (temporary menu) which is good because that is what I always ordered before. The Lomo Saltado (tasty sautéed sirloin) was delicious as usually with fries, rice and huancaina sauce. They also have Pastelito de Guava and empandas cooked to order.Thank you for opening up again!

I order a Tune Poke half rice half lettuce. The menu says it comes with guacamole but it doesn’t, I had to ask for the rice because they only serve me lettuce, it wasn’t seasoned at all and when I asked they gave me soy sauce. Also I order a Ceviche which is supposed to have mixed vegetables and onions and accompanied with popcorn, I was serve fish with onions and lemon and some salted cookies. Their explanation was that it was the old menu. I don’t recommend this place at all!

Worst food I’ve ever had. When you came down to the quality of the food very poor the chicken was super robbery That it tasted like it was fake. When I asked to see a manager the owner came to the front and said that there was no issues with the food I asked for a refund and he denied it not even on I’m sorry. Honestly I wouldn’t give this place not even one star.Save your money and eat somewhere else around there there’s plenty places better than this.

Don’t you ever buy food here. I bought breakfast today and no only today, but this had happened to me with my lunch as well many times before. Let’s go back to the breakfast! It looks like there chef learn I don’t know where how to cook. My bread 🥖 was clearly from the dinosaur age and so my beicon 🥓, the empanada looks like a left over food and over all everything tastes so bad and old. Nasty! Don’t waste your money bc there are no cheap I pay $14 for a food I couldn’t eat.

The daily offerings are delicious and at roughly $10 per completa (one protein and two sides), you cant go wrong! Try the fried fish, pork chunks, pork shoulder, shredded beef or chicken fricassee.

Kitchen needs to communicate waited 20 mins for a palomia which a steak that thin cooks in 6 mins. Not rocket science. There goes my lunch hour.Girl kept calling out I need a palomia and nothing.2nd time eating here but, after today Ill take a break from this place.

I found the Paisa bowl very interesting, its like a hipster tray, although the beans with which it comes have nothing to do with those that are eaten in Antioquia.It has good prices for the area in which it is located.

The service is lousy. Although no one is rude or anything like that, they are sure to deliver the wrong order. Neither the person at the checkout, nor the person in the kitchen know the menu, for which they charged us wrongly. An Iced Tea that we ordered they charged us for the large size (there is only one size) and when we tried to explain that they did not even know where the product was located on their menu. They dont make a latte, but a cappuccino. They will not be able to assist you in your order since they do not know their products. I do not recommend going because after the bad service and knowing that your order is wrong, you will only want to go.
