I absolutely love this place and I’m definitely loving the new location compared to the old location it’s much bigger, don’t have to worry about waiting outside in line to get in.There are soooooo many good options to choose from when you come here. From the red velvet to the carrot cake, apple pie, guava rum coconut mhmmmm 🤤they’re all so good. Definitely recommend this place.

This comes up on many lists of places to try in Miami so we decided to stop by.Covid-19: theyre being vigilant about only letting 6 people inside at a time (as much as people try to ignore it).We got a slice of key lime pie and a caramel (crack) pie milkshake. You can take any slice of pie and make it a milkshake which is pretty cool.Although not the best I had in Miami, the key lime pie was very good. The caramel pie shake was the winner between the two. The caramel pie reminded me of Milk Bar Pie which I love.If you like pie, this is your dessert shop to check out in Miami.

So disappointed. this place is all hype, if you like 400% over priced dry cake with no frosting this is your spot. i ordered 4 slices to go today and they all had a combined amount of frosting for maybe 1 or 1/2 slices. real shame that a place that over charges so much cant even be fair, let alone generous with the frosting.

I will always recommend the grasshopper 19283728/10 such a good one. Cookie Monster is not as good as I expected. The birthday cake one looks good but ALOT. Key lime pie is also very very good. The one with the Pirouline sticks on top was decadent so I would say 1. Grass hopper 2. The chocolate mousse one with the sticks on top 3. Key lime pie. 4. Anything else

This is still a fabulous bakery!!! Love the selections and the portion sizes! I do have a request to bring back the vegetarian pot pies!!! I would buy 3 at a time. Not sure why it was taken off but it needs to make a comeback! #meatlesspies

To start this review off, my husband and I are big fans of Fireman Derek’s. We drive nearly 30 minutes just to try their dessert. This time we were very disappointed in the service at Fireman Derek’s. Since we live far from their closest location, we noticed the Uber eats pickup did not show a pie shake option under their menu. When we called the store for assistance on ordering in advanced, the man was dry and sarcastic and said “you have to come here and order”. Again, being that we love their pie shakes, we decided to rush and drive there to do as we were advised. Upon getting there, the man says “we don’t do pie shakes at this time”. We arrived 15 minutes before closing. Another customer in line jumped into the conversation and said he wanted one too. After we specifically stated we were told to come and order here (which is why we showed up late), he made it for us. As many of you know the pie shakes are pricey desserts. The pie shakes he made us were a huge disappointment, an insult to what it’s supposed to be. It looked like watered down chocolate milk. He didn’t even have the care of putting the toppings it comes with yet we paid full price and drove 30 minutes for these shakes. Extremely disappointed and disheartened by the service. Don’t go to this location in the last hour prior to closing. The workers just want to go home and don’t care. We won’t be returning to this location.

The pies and cakes are all great! We tried the monthly special (cafecito pie) and the guava/coconut cake. The Nutella pie/cookie is also worth trying, as well as the key lime and the other pies.

I came in wanting to try a milkshake but I didn’t know that they didn’t make milkshakes just put a brownie or a cheesecake into a blender and that’s the “milkshake”. I had their Oreo cheesecake milkshake and it was pretty good but it did have the aftertaste of cheesecake which is fine but it can be too sweet and too much for just one person. The cookies in my opinion are not worth their price they can also be too sweet.

Their Key Lime Pie and Guava White Chocolate bread pudding were the best!! I get the hype now!Will definitely be back with the family.

The key lime pie was hands down one of the best Ive ever had and Ive had a lot over the years (over 300) and nothing compare to this one. For starters the consistency is more of a milky soft filling rather than a hard filling like most pies have. You can taste the freshness and the subtle flavor of the key lime is just right. Due to covid they only have about 2 tables outside but are still offering to go and delivery orders so I highly suggest stopping by. Parking is very tough as all of coconut grove is but if you come early in the day street parking can be found fairly easy.

Ordered a pie, ready on time, and looks delicious (have not tasted yet) HOWEVER we came close to a disaster because the box was not taped shut and when we opened it came close to falling upside down. DONT MIND THE PRICE, BUT TWO PIECES OF SCOTCH TAP ON THE BOX WOULD BE IN ORDER., Steven Dloogoff ONE star because of no tape on box. PS Later in the day The Grasshopper pie was DELICIOUS..... still think you need to tape the box closed. 5 stars because the pie was delicious

I walked in with a shirt tied around my face because I forgot my mask. They asked me to leave. I went to get my actual mask and also my box of masks. I came back in to the store and gave my box of extra masks to the employee and told her“I know the pandemic has hit you guys hard but for the sake of your boss and your job, here is a box of masks to offer people who don’t have them. Better the opportunity to keep a customer than to just kick them out and lose out on the business”The employee didn’t like that. I hope this reaches the right person

Unfortunately I discovered this place the last day of my visit in Coconut Grove. However, fortunately I made a wise decision in ordering enough to savor on my flight back home.Hotel staff suggested this place one night when asked about soft-serve yogurt within walking distance. The yogurt was a busts but Fireman Dereks was suggested as a sweet shop. So I went online to check out the menu and thats when I knew exactly where I would be going the next morning!!In addition to the plethora of cakes and pies that they sale (well get back to these later), there are various savory pies. These consists of assorted pot pies and the one that caught my eye was the buffalo chicken mac and cheese pot pie. Im a southern guy and no stranger to pot pies but this combo was new to me so I had to try it. It was spot-on and possibly my new comfort food dish over a hot brown. I had to utilize a little extra Tabasco sauce for my palette but it was delicious!!!So back to the pies that satisfy the sweet tooth.. I had a guava berry dessert and it was deliciousl. It all looked so good that it was hard to choose. I was happy with my selection though and will honestly purchase a sampler pie tray next time which seems like the best way to go so thadeliciously freshmix and match six slices of pie of your choice.Great find and looking forward to my next visit and trying my hand at a buffalo chicken pot pie!

This location is too cute. Nice bakery that offers grabbing last minute gifts for your coworkers easier. And they provide single candles for purchased baked goods. Never too crowded and offers good coffee. Customer service is always great.

It makes great toast & grilled cheese sandwiches. Great price also. Cheaper than the store. They will slice it any way you like .

The most terrible serviceThe attendant at the store in the grove are a funking Karen’s !!! The most rude woman, she ask my boyfriend to leave the store because he did not have a proper face mask we when to the pharmacy and get one, then when he came back and place the order he ask for an empanada and she told him that she don’t have Cooke but he can get a frozen one so he can cooked... really ??? In the most sarcastic way, what is her fun king problem? Is someone is so unhappy in their workplace the should leave and don’t have to damage the image is such place.

I am yet to try something that is not delicious at this place. Eating sweets without feeling guilty afterwards :D

I love Fireman Dereks treats. This time I tried the chicken empanada, which was delicious, the crust is to die for, the inside is also really good with the hot sauce. I had a nutella cold coffee which is what I need to go get right now with a slice of Crack pie, which is of salted caramel, Im not a caramel person but this right here any day of the week crack pie is welcome. 🦸‍♀️🥮☕🥟

The cupcakes are ready really fast and deciding what to get was the only hard part. I hope to come back for a special occasion to order a bigger cake. The Cupcakes are going to die for!!!

Went with a slice of the official state dessert of Florida and the pie that they are best known for, the Key lime pie. Its tart to sweet ratio was off balance for me as it was too tart. Good graham cracker bottom but the $7 slice was not as good as the $10 from Joes

If there was a 10 star rating Id give this spot an 11, its just that good. Best bakery experience anywhere. You will not be disappointed.

We went in... there was a sign out side that said mask must be worn, my husband was putting on his mask, as a staff member was telling him he had to put on his mask... he said i have a mask i am putting it on... the employee started to talk with another employee and said “he is retarded”! We heard and confronted the guy. He didn’t know what to say since he thought he was not as loud! We immediately left and went next door to Morelia!Did not get to try since employee was rude!

BE CAREFUL! I found a piece of metal inside the brownie, I contacted them in a totally kind way and they Blocked me on instagram. They don’t know about customer service. So sad because I was a loyal and recurrent costumer. I’m not going there anymore.

Went and bought 3 slices brownie pie. When opened 1 slice was half the size of the others. Called and complained, wrote texts, took pictures and I never heard from them!!!! Terrible customer service.

Their key lime pie here was better than any I tried in key west.

Space itself is beautiful, old books line the walls and the aroma of fresh coffee hits you as soon as you walk in. This coffee shop is the most popular here for they have different coffee flavors that complete your day. You can even let the barista know your coffee preferences and they will prepare it to your liking. You dont have to worry, they are all kind and accommodating.

Just left the store and when I left I felt if I was somewhat profiled. I had a 100 dollar bill to pay for my purchase the lady at the registered ran it through her machine to see if it was real or not she tried once then ask me if I had another form of payment . So I looked at her like are you kidding me. So any way I pay with my debit card. Mind you I am a paramedic/ registered nurse I think I could afford a few slices of cheesecake. Just happy my younger son is not old enough to understand what just happened. I guarantee you if I was a person of another race she probably would had never checked to see if it was real. Sad sad sad. On top of that I still tip over 5 dollars because I do believe in supporting our local buisnesses. Definitely the last time ill go there and spend my hard earning money.

Fireman Dereks is really good however this particular one the staff is not. I’ve had serval bad experiences with them.I placed an order over Uber East’s and my order was supposed to be ready for pick up however when I got there the staff ignored me 2 twice 2 people that came after were attended before me. On top of that my order was not ready.I then placed an order over Uber eats but accidentally put the wrong pie. I called to see if they can change my order they said I had to cancel my order on Uber eats and reorder. Just to cancel was $20. I called to see if they would be understanding and they said still refused to help me out.Overall customer service is bad. Desserts are EXTREMELY GOOD. It’s disappointing such a good place has such bad service.

Finding parking isnt easy, but when is it ever in this area ? Their cookies are pretty damn good. Theyre soft and chewy, not too sweet, they hit the spot. Theyve got an incredibly variety of sweets, perfect place if youre seeking that diabetic coma youve always heard about.

It seems to me that if youve pre-paid for your pie & have a set time to pick it up, you shouldnt have to wait in line for 20 minutes. And then have them not find your order. I know artists dont tend to be organized, but you need both skills to run a business well. Havent tasted the pie yet.

Guava and Carrot cakes are the best! Buy those and then spend the next few days trying to slice the smallest portions so they last as long as possible while watching Netflix.

OMG, finally I tried some of these amazing cakes and pies.The taste of the ones I had was sensational.I tried their famous crack cake and Im still dreaming of that sweet, crunchy, and creamy (at the same time) flavor. I also had their key lime pie. Wow, so rich, and the flavor was really on point.I noticed that they also make cookies, and I cant wait to go and try them out, since that last time I went I was already full of the desserts I had.We parked on the public street parking but theres also a garage where you can park.

The pie here was great I enjoyed the small shop. I had the key lime and my wife had the birthday cheesecake both were excellent would definitely visit again to try the other flavors.

In store or delivered, their service and perfection in taste bud tantililization is enough to put this on your must visit, taste and try list.

This place obviously deletes bad reviews here on google, there’s no sane reason they have a 4.8 average review. The last 2 reviews are both 1 stars and I’m sure in a few days, they’ll be removed. This place is WAY overpriced and that would be ok if the pies were good but they really aren’t. $6.99 for a skinny slice of tasteless gooey pecan pie. The salted caramel pie had a chemical-y taste to it, it felt like I just drank nail polish remover. Ew! Skip this place!

The prices are astronomically high as well. I was very surprised to see the prices when we were there. I dont think I would be back but if I did, I definitely wouldnt go out of my way.
