Ted told me in two emails and once over the phone that the vehicle had 70,000 miles. It arrived with 166,000 miles. Numerous issues with the car. Once I informed him Im taking legal action he decided to drop the nice guy act and it appeared that he became so angry he couldnt form complete sentences in his text message to me.
I have been browsing Teds site for months looking for a classic and not a project car. We started communicating over email and Ted and Cindy were super responsive, good old customer service that everyone company should give! Besides this place being a museum of classics there is so much amazing history behind many of the vehicles and recurring buyers! I felt like I was on a field trip and this amazing guide called Ted. Spent 4 hours there, made a great purchase. Sat down with Cindy, to finalize all the paper work, she keeps that place in tip top operations! Can not wait for my delivery and looking forward to another visit soon!
Looks like an excellent selection of cars, trucks, and other types of vehicles. Would give 5 stars but doesnt look to be open all the time.. We stopped by on July 4th and expected it to be closed but it didnt say anything about being open later that week. Just summer hours in general. Would love to see inside where all the cars are stored.. From the windows its definitely like looking into the candy store... Will stop by next time Im in town for sure.. You can tell he spends time out buying the cars by the selection I seen..
What a cool place! I kiss the show they had on tv.
Awesome range if cars
Most of the cars they have here need a lot of work. They have very few cars that are turnkey. If youre looking for a project car thatll keep you busy for a while or parts for a current car that you own this would be the place to go. They do have a wide variety of classic cars but like I said most of them are missing pieces and require a lot of work. If you have the time and money to invest that would be the only reason to come here and buy a car.
Went into South Beach Classics to ask a question about starting my Pristine 1970 Chevelle SS. A nice older man was at the front entrance. He directed me to a gentleman. This man seemed annoyed to be talking with me and came off like we were bothering him to even be in the place. I was thinking about selling it there but wouldnt step foot in place again.
Super Wicked place super friendly staff Money Talks Teds always willing to make a deal super cool stuff I absolutely recommend any vintage car Enthusiast the check it out
Great collection of classic cars! Amazing to see! They have some awesome ones to check out, although most of them need restoration.
Ted is a wonderful person, I went to his shop after hours and he allowed me and my family in his store to look at his inventory and treated us like family. Just as you see him on TV, he is in person, just very personal. I just talked with him about 30 minutes in his showroom and he allowed me and my family to walk through his inventory and told us just to, Take your time. I have a 53 Chevy and if you are a car enthusiast - You will love it, even if your significant other is not, what a wonderful place to go.I could have stayed there talking with him for hours, just a very, very nice person - Wonderful inventory for every taste of classic cars!!!!
Ted Vernon is a very special man full of life and friendly beyond any expectations. The vehicles are works of art and hes willing to negotiate on pricing. Loved my visit there meeting all of the employees and touring the garages and yards packed with classic automobiles. My journey down from Broward County was well worth the time. Veronica Walton gave me the top to check it out. I recall seeing her in a few of the South Beach classic episodes. Shes a great personality and very decent young lady.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ A true 5 Star Spot! Miami’s Very Own Best Place to get your Classic Dream Car. Must Come to truly appreciate the Amazing Selection !
Totally Awesome!!! Its like a time capsule! It makes me happy to know a place like this actually exists!Funky & cool cool cars everywhere. If your a car enthusiast I highly recommend you stop in to check it out. Ted is a very nice guy and easy to talk to!I spent 2 hours wandering around with my father just enjoying the property and we had a blast!Great place & great people!Highly recommended to all! Thanks to Ted and his crew!
A lot of walking and lots of selections, not quite what I expected but pretty good.
Being a long time fan of the show on the Velocity Channel, we recently had the opportunity to visit South Beach Classics. My impression of Ted Vernon gained from my TV experience was of a man who was professional, sharp, and very personable. While we were visiting the store, we met Ted. Guess what? The real Ted is better that the TV persona. What a terrific guy, as were the rest of the South Beach Classics staff. Veronica Walton, a SoBe Classics staffer could not have been nicer. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to meet Robin; however, experience dictates shes more wonderful in real life than on TV. The many classic cars we viewed were great examples of the past great days of the automobile and the evoked great memories; however, they are not what stands out about this business. Its the classy staff!! Keep up the good work both in the store and on TV. South Beach Classics is a must see if you visit Miami!
I loved it. I was told to go ahead and look at anything I had an interest in. It was like a time machine for me. Most of the cars and trucks were driving around when I was a youngster. So I felt right at home. Thanks TED.
I went there expecting some half decent cars but keep in mind most of the cars there are half broken and will need a ton of restoration. His prices are not cheap either. Finding a working car here is a needle in a haystack. Also the whole place needs to be cleaned. Cool cars but sadly not what I’m looking for.
Hundreds of older classic cars for sale. It was cool just walking around looking at all the antique and classic cars. Pricing was a little high, like most car dealers, but I didnt try to negotiate . This is the place that had a TV show about it
I have always wanted to meet Ted since l first saw his show on Velocity. I got my chance but didnt really get the chance to chat with him. Favorite car on the lot 1957 Ford Panel.
Ted is as much of a gentileman in real life as on TV.Very down to earth. My girl friend Karen and myself have been there twiceIn the past year. Both times Ted spent time chatting with us.He has a range of show cars, nice get in and drive cars,To rat rod style cars, down to restoration projects. My opinion you can negotiate prices if you see somethingyou cant live without.Check it out if you can.
Teds place is awesome! Theres a huge selection of great classic cars and on top of that Ted is so friendly and makes it even more fun! My father and I were so warmly welcomed and shown around to all of the awesome cars he has! My father comes to visit me every year to go back!
Nice selection, but overpriced.
Great place! Spoke to Ted one on one hes a great guy to deal with. Thanks for your time Ted.
Ted was very welcoming and let us explore his inventory. Great time although I didnt find anything I wanted to purchase. Probably would have enjoyed meeting his wife more than the cars haha
This is the most unbelievable Classic Car Dealership I have ever seen, Ted is incredibly Honest, he treats you like family, Car prices are at budget fit, Everyone should know about his Large Car Collection, Is like walking to a candy store, your Jaw just drops, and you want to buy every car you see, Is a truly Time Capsule Back in Time Atmosphere, Mr. Ted Vernon, I Salute you Sir, Thank you for what you do.
This place is a junkyard where old cars go to the scrap heap.
Met Ted and Robin on a visit to there new lot on our trip to the east coast USA and they could not have been nicer to myself and my wife. They gave us a lot of there time and allowed us to have a photo taken with both of them. They are both lovely people and as for there TV show I will not miss a episode, just love it. Greetings from Brisbane Australia, and dont forget to look us up if you are in our part of the world. Ray and Maryann.
A good man. He just made a wrong turn.... He NEEDS a second chance and new good woman that understands him..and love him for him..point blank GOLD diggers leave ted alone!
Ted is a Miami Icon. Great guy with so many classic cars. You must see his place.
As a gearhead and car collector I say this place is awesome! Ted is a great guy and he offers good cars for sensible prices. I have my eye on at least 3 vehicles on his lot. There are some real low mileage original gems on his lot and most of the cars are being sold below their actual value. There is something for everybody here!South Beach Classics is the best and a very important part of Miami!Buy your next classic car, truck or bike here! I will!
This is how we ended up at Teds: my fiance and I were headed north one day and noticed Teds place on the way. When we got there, the showroom was closed, but from outside I spotted a car that I fell in love with. However, I thought that I could never in a million years afford. So we left, and a couple of weeks later my boyfriend suggested that we should return. Unbeknownst to me, he secretly had planned on buying me the car I liked if the price was right. He wanted to surprise me for my birthday. I didnt think much of going back to Teds because, being a car enthusiast I thought it would be fun to see so many classic cars all in one place. When we got there we met Wes, one of his sales people, who impressed us with his vast knowledge of vintage cars. Wes is not your typical car salesman - turns out, hes actually a professor who works for Ted when hes not teaching. Needless to say, we left that day with my dream car, and Ted made it possible. Seriously, this is not your typical car dealership. Its a place where you will see an endless array of vintage cars at all price ranges. On certain days you can see film crews photographing models and, if you are lucky, you could even catch Ted film his reality show. Its like going to a classic car theme park.In conclusion, I like Ted because he is witty, funny and super cool! His humor is old school and although his one liners can take you by surprise, he will seriously crack you up. All in all Ted makes visiting his showroom and the whole car buying experience an experience youll never forget. But, most importantly, Ted is fair with his prices and is always willing to negotiate. Thank you, Ted, for making one off my bucket list wishes come true!
Huge selection of old cars .But the prices are ridiculous. Most cars are junk and theyre priced like if they were in restored condition. And if you have a trade be prepared to fall on the floor laughing with their offer. Great place to visit for looking thats it .
My experience was similar to many others on here...the cars may look good in the photos but major issues are not disclosed. I had a Buick shipped to Canada a number of years ago and it arrived with four flat tires and damaged trim. Electrical and mechanical gremlins and other issues were not disclosed beforehand. Seller was unwilling to reimburse. Caveat emptor!
Respectful and honest staff. Classic and welcoming. Lots of different classics. Nice job!
Beautiful classics and a nice variety of cars to see there. Ted is so sweet and personable and we laughed with him the whole time! Well definitely be back!
Purchased a classic 70s American convertible online based on photos on South Beach Classics website. Paid at the top of the NADA valuation. When it arrived, it didnt start, parts were falling off the exterior, the [white] interior was filthy and the soft top was damaged and unusable. When contacted, the owner was abusive. Would recommend against doing business online with this seller.
My wife and I visited SOBE from Pittsburgh on January 22nd. It was an exciting experience to meet Ted and Robin. Very down to earth and pleasant people. The staff there was extremely friendly. We were invited to view the inventory. A fascinating collection of autos. I would highly recommend a visit!!
So disappointing, I watched south beach classics and was hoping to get a tshirt. The place looked like an abandoned classic car junkyard. So sad, I hope all is well with Mr. Vernon
I met Ted this past weekend at the Turkey Run he was a very nice man, the type of person you can get along very well with. I respect him very much he is a honest and very straightforward man and will tell you like it is and give you a very good deal. He is a very funny person and an honest good man. Signed your Friends from Baxley Goergia
Ted risks getting swallowed up by by that graveyard of classic cars he surrounds himself with. By his count, 300 plus cars, in various states of decay sit there. It was interesting to look at, but a left there with a sense of sadness over the poor condition of the cars and the neglect which they are suffering. Id be surprised if 10% of the cars were actually in #3 condition or better.
Good ethics and amazing qualities in a man. Really made me laugh and enjoy my time there. I would love to date him but sadly I have a severe case of ibs and have not been inside a man in a long time. Hopefully one day well meet again, a day when my ibs isnt acting up ;p
Perfect place to see oldies cars. And theyre super friendly!
Like my dad love old cars, this looked like the perfect place for him to get a car😍
My wife and went there......took us 15 minutes just to find our way in the front door. The place is basically an abandoned junkyard of cars. I saw a green 76 Malibu Classic for $ 16,500 complete with flat tires and an interior full of mold. The place smelled of old gas because prolly nothing in this place ran. The staff let us walk about because i dont think they knew we were there. Do NOT waste your time visiting here.
Met Ted Vernon today . Nice affable guy . Not like his TV personality were he seems rough . I get the feeling he will work well with a serious customer . The selection of cars are great . I have a few in mind and plan on going back with more focus on one or two.
Bit off a little more than I can chew with what I bought from them. It wasnt entirely what I hoped it would be. I admit we way overpaid what the car we got was worth in its condition
Basically a beautiful junk yard of all types of vehicles. Numerous cars out in the open (which is not a problem) with windows left open. We were their during a rain storm. Cars missing parts, flat tires, broken convertible tops. Great to view the variety however.
Just keep on doing what you do man. Great car. See you soon sorry about what happen to you lot. many blessings to you and your wife
Purchased a super nice 06 vet and had a lot of fun with Ted and Robin.
Very nice place its actually hard to find an honest friendly car salesman but you will at South Beach Classics
What a dump. all the cars are what we call 50-50 they look good from 50 yards away going 50 mph. most of the cars are fake and put together half asses. buyer beware.
Full respect though. Ted has made it clear time and time again. He buys, sells and flips cars. He does not restore. He buys and sells low to mid level cars. He is truthful in his prices. Want to drive something killer for a fraction of the trailer queen price? Thats what they offer. Want a trailer queen? Go to a big auction. Ted and Robyn sell drivers not museam pieces.
I think you people that are trashing Teds car lot cant even afford a Uber !! Ask Ole Ted to box your ears and see what he says!! Take Care Ted Signed Teds Number one fan Herb
Great assortment of automobiles, old and older. Ted and all the staff were are very hospitable.
I have been a fan since the show aired on Velocity. My step-son and I took some vacation time and went to South Beach, Miami from New Jersey. We had the opp to meet with Ted and Marcus today. To my suprise, Ted opened the door for us, Great person by all means, and Marcus was great as well. We viewed Teds inventory of amazing classic cars. We left with a couple signed SOBE shirts and some awesome photos with them both. Thanks Ted and Marcus. God bless you, our Country and of course South Beach Classics!
GREAT. Ted Vernon was there and we got to have our picture with jim
All the cars combined arent worth $1000. I went there with my family who are car buffs, visiting from Texas. We were so disappointed. I was shocked that the show actually stages the inventory as almost all the cars are junk, dont have air in the tires or even a battery under the hood.Yes Ted is friendly and greeted our group but dont waste your time. No classics here worth visiting!
Nice people we will be back to do business big dan and big mike
Was dissapointment with my visit there. The building in run down and falling apart. Plaster was actually falling from the ceiling unto the cars in the showroom. A few cars were in great shape. The remainder were negelected, flat tires and rotting where they sat.
Great place, Really nice cars. Ted was great to talk with.
A lot of classic cars here. Good spot to find cars
Cant wait to go back
Love the show. Cant wait for the new season to start
The owner Ted was very down to earth, an has very fare prices on all his cars. I will be back to buy me an ole school👊🏾
One of the best restoration Car Series in the world that I have ever seen made from junk cars to modifying beautiful classic workmanship proud of them
Good
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MAN. He did not honor an agreement. I dont want to go into details...but once youre off his property-tough luck.Hes the reason for the saying, Let the buyer BEWARE...!
Had an easy time dealing with Ted . He is an easy going guy I was abel to walk away with a deal we could both live with and will work with Ted in the future for sure.
Trying to sell my collection1978 Kellison Stallion tribute #2of1171957 Thunderbird w rumble seat1998 Plymouth Prowler2002 Thunderbird customized to resemble a 1957
If you are looking for a classic or antique car this is the place bring your check book not a cheap place but has what you are looking for .
Fantastic choice of cars and a very charismatic boss ;)
Inventory old, never what u see on tv show. The website is rarely up-to-date, they told me they sold a particular car yet it remained on the website for several weeks
Cool spot, lots of crud, but plenty of diamonds in the rough.
Cars, cars And more cars. No staff bugging. They had wrong years on cars
For all international buyers....stay away he rips you off. Its not as it seems like....My mistake was to trust in Ted. I met him once. The trustful impression and the show on Discovery Chanel blinded me. So I`ve bought 5 cars from pictures and videos he send to me. It was a big suprise when they arrived in Switzerland. None of the cars had matching numbers. All made nice to look good on the pictures but if you lock underneath or check them from the technical side they are all a desaster. I`m not able to get one of these cars registered within europe. Baddest dog`s dinner. I could go more into details but this would be to much for here. Feel free to contact me if you want to hear the full story and see some pictures of the scrap heaps....
Have seen the show passed by it on the highway so disappointing like some of the reviews some ok cars mostly a super overpriced junk yard everything is a major project car clearly the asking price is not the price only a fool with money to blow would stop here
Called and Ted answered, we had a nice conversation, great guy!
Love this place. Fun friendly customer service.
Im from ohio and I wanted to see what they had become I buy old cars and I build movie cars I have made the new Ghostbusters ecto I for the movie theaters to promoting the new movie and I had built some for star cars and my dad build the 1949 Buick road master for the movie rain man I went in to get some info on a 1973 dodge challenger they had and Ted asked like as ass he said he had no time for me so I walked out he was very rude and his place is dirty and he has nothing on his lot that is worth a damp all the cars are in poor shape
If in Miami, then Ted Vernons is a must see. Great team!
Fun place to visit and many good deals
If you are into classic cars and wierd rides go see Vernon, tell him Big Cuba sent you.
Has some of the coolest cars.
Mostly junk. Not the same cars you see on the tv show. Sketchy area. Pretty disappointing.
Nothing but junk. Waste of time and money
The owner was super cool
All Beautiful. Places to go.
I would buy my next classic from Ted
I totally agree with that....all the cars are garbage that need major renovation...basically a big junk yard....proves dont believe what you see on TV
I used to like the show and this place used to be okay, but now it is a run down dump and Ted is an aggressive and mean man. After going there the last time I came upon the Miami New Times articles stating that he beats his wife and children and is being federally indicted on gun charges. Im terrified that I was in his building! Avoid at all costs.
Always good to see the guys

Love the cable TV show!
