What a gem! I found this place by happenstance driving and pull over to see what it was all about. The place is full of relics and antiques, over one million items to be exact. I really enjoyed my brief walkthrough, but I’ll surely be back soon!
Cool place with endless oddities, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. What turned me off is when I brought an item to checkout the owner commented that the price tag is old and increases his price 60% on the spot. If it never sold at the original price why would I pay more?
Nice place! If you are looking for a deal, or if you are into resale, this isnt the place for you as the owner doesnt really like to negotiate or offer any discounts, and things are pricey!! Cool stuff - so cool that the owner doesnt seem to want to get rid of much as the place is PACKED and dusty. Worth checking out if you enjoy nautical antiques. *BEWARE* Stone Age does sell new vintage items. He does have them labeled on the price tag. Just pay attention.
Great place! Full of unique treasures.
Man a ton of really cool stuff yet not barely a single price tag and once you find someone to help with something your looking at, the price was so high you had to cover your mouth before yelling out profanities. Really I get stuff is old and stuff is rare but it wasnt all that rare and regardless they had 200 different ones to choose from. But no haggling no deals no working out bundle deals and the price of one single item was enough. Not like the stuff was in pristine condition and most looked to be there at least 3 decades so why wouldnt you sell at fair prices?. Just confused me! It is more of a museum of items than a antique store!
This place was AWESOME! I have never seen so much cool stuff. Staff was very informative about all items. Prices were very fair.
This place is awesome! There is a ton of nautical items along with tons of other items. Definitely worth checking out
I am so happy I found this place! Owner and his shop employee were great conversationalists. This is truly a great place to treasure hunt. This is 50+ years of accumulation of a family handing down the business generation to generation. They were negotiable on pricing and happy to help me to my car. There is something for everyone here. Even if you arent looking to buy, its worth a trip to just travel back in time.
Go there you wont believe it theres nothing like it.
A lot of unique and interesting items. Was able to afford a few things. There are so many hidden treasures...not sure if they know all the things they own. Would have given 5 stars and bought more if the owner would have been more willing to negotiate on the prices but it still worth to rummage through...a walk through history.
Intriguing place.I certainly feel it has the look that makes you want to stop and take a walk inside. While there are many antiques here I do feel that there is a lot of redundancy. There’s so much clutter is hard to appreciate some of the fascinating things that can be found in this place. With that being said, it has a very old and eerie feel to it which I think makes for a great antique store. I walked inside and was by myself and i got chills from hearing the metals above me creak with the wind and the smell of OLD and not a sound to be heard. Definitely a sight to be seen in person. I’ve been living in Miami since I was 10. 16 years later I come to find out about this place.I’ll probably go back with more time and check it out further. It really is interesting.
The best place In South Florida to find anything antique marine related! This place has everything you could imagine. A hidden treasure of south Florida. Highly recommended even just to visit.
Stoneage Antiques is one unique place. It feels like a museum except everything is for sale. I have been there many times and still have barely scratched the surface of all the unique and interesting things to find. There is a strong emphasis on nautical items which is what I enjoy collecting. I highly recommend this place.
If youre looking for nautical pieces including a 17th century cannon, Light fixtures, port holes, anchors, etc, its worth the trip. Only one of the display areas is air conditioned. The new owner is an affable guy. The prices are not cheap.
Spoke to Lou on the phone. Seems congenial and professional. Look forward to doing business together.
I design and build semi Subs & submersibles. Just walking around Stone age brings inspiration for design with their seemingly infinite corridors full of clever historical maritime tech. No matter what your hobbies or interests are, Stone age Antiques is guaranteed to capture the interest of even the toughest of critics!
If you are looking for props for your business this is the place. They have everything. Its a maze and every corner takes you to a different time. You can spend a day in here and you want to go back. The guys are friendly. They have so much knowledge.
Used to be my favorite place in Miami growing up. New owner, very unprofessional businessman, tried to lie and price gouge about specific items. This place was great a couple years back but that definitely changed. Never will I go there again.
Great place.... The owner is really friendly and reachable... Good place to go if you love vintage style
Theres a lot of old stuff here, mainly nautical things e.g. ship wheels, diving helmets, sextants, etc. Most items are extremely overpriced and building is very hot and decrepit in certain locations. Most items are not organized and require dangerous climbing or digging; I recommend bringing gloves and getting a tetanus shot before coming here.
Its like going to a museum they have anything you can think of the buying and they sell you can sell to them antique shops and Yang Yang good luck have a good day there you can spend all day there you never see it all good luck
LOOOVE this store! Always find hidden gems!
A one of a kind treasure trove of antiquities and local history. Plan to spend a couple of hours sorting through their large warehouse and grounds.
Stoneage Antiques is one crazy place. Its sort of like a overly cluttered museum where everything is for sale. You simply cant see everything no matter how slowly you browse. Fascinating stuff is tucked away behind, on top of, or under other fascinating stuff. There is a lot of nautical stuff, ships wheels, portholes, lanterns, etc., but thats just the tip if the Stoneage iceberg. No wonder when Hollywood needs rare and unusual props, they come calling. Its a lot of fun and something of an area attraction in its own right. Highly recommended.
Awesome place with a lot of interesting stuff. I loved it
What an amazing place an amazing antiques, what a fun time I had just browsing in this place. I purchased a great antique for a good friend of mine and Im sure she will be very pleased
Cool antique shop! Very nautical, but you can find many other eccentric trinkets!
Loved it! Amazing collection and great pieces! Fair prices, definitely a must-see, even if you are just browsing.
Very good selection of minerals, even better selection of antiquities.
If your looking for historical treasures marine or other, this place is a walk thru history.
If youreally into picking this is the place! I collect exotic knives and I found 12 Kukri knives and 3 Indonesian Kriss daggers in buckets over there. Saw 1000s of other things I would love to have but couldnt justify. Just go! Youll be glad you did.
Quirky place. Love it
Our daughter wanted to come here for her 10th birthday, she could of chosen anywhere in Miami, while on vacation from Idaho. The people are beyond friendly and even gave her an old doll from the second floor.A must visit!!!!
Loads of stuff. If its not here it was never made. Take your time bring a flashlight.
Tons and tons of antiques to see, really cool place!
This place is amazing. Has anything and everything nautical, and more. Owner is friendly.
Great place with really nice items ! Really kind people too. Do not miss this place !!!
Great place to explore.
Great antique and nautical shop!
Awesome place, dude youll get lost there
Great place to go to one looking for special antiques but get ready to get out of pocket its a bit pricey great place to rent props for movie scenes and setups
It was huge and had many items, all the items were priced well too but its cash and check only so keep that in mind.
Terrible Hours...no one from Fort Lauderdale or West Palm can ever make that work 9-5pm! Wish you were open even for a few hours on Sat
Friendly and helpful staff.
They have everything u can thank of and will buy almost anything.
Great place to treasure hunt
Located in an industrial area, lots of dirt, trucks and construction.
Very friendly
In practice, a second-hand dealer, with thousands of antiques and not, especially from boats. There are some beautiful things. I recommend it as a curiosity not to be missed
A magnificent place with many spaces to be explored. Its worth visiting...
I used to go to sell some antiques to this store but the new owner wants to buy at infernal prices and sell you at excessive prices, there is no middle ground with the Lord and for me he is not very knowledgeable about antiques
Wonderful Place ... Great attention
The place is the most incredible thing I saw in my life. You need 1 day to look at everything. The owner gives you the prices according to the face or the day or the temperature and does not negotiate anything. Everything is expensive and that makes it unprofessional. I could not buy anything. I would not go back because that makes me angry.
Excellent antique shop with pieces of all types and varied models of plates
Nice place, too bad they sell at the head of the customer! Very bad experience, they refused the sale at the last moment.
Very good attention, far
Very interesting things that they have, awesome place
Not a bad junk warehouse. Sorry no porcelain
To roam and rummage all day
Everything was very expensive, with the previous owner it had fairer prices, I will not return again
Very good.
Very good, it has many things but excessively expensive
Fantastic. I recommend.
Interesting place to get antiques
Nice old
