Great place to get rough sawn lumber. Its a smaller business so the prices are reaaonable and its a local company with great employees. Their selection of lumber is great from exotic woods like wenge to more common woods like poplar. They even have smaller milled boards for those who dont have the capability to mill up lumber. They are the go-to-guys for lumber in the east valley. Ive been going to them for years and will continue to source lumber from them.

Timber always has awesome selection of rough cut timber and a good amount of precut, planed, special woods. They also carry veneers, particle, plywood and reclaimed wood too.

Love the place, beautiful wood selections, machinery. Only drawback going to timber is all the people who do not wear masks to protect themselves and others. Selfish in my opinion w/ the pandemic!

They had what I needed and I was in-and-out in no time. And wow, the cool woodworking machines that they have there. Not to mention the many assorted type of woods that they carry. If you work with wood, this is your candy store.

I went in looking for a specific router bit. After realizing that they probable have the largest selection in arizona. Ranging from big box store priced ones all the way up to the best of the best. I was a little overwhelmed the gentlemen who help me in the end actually took the time to find out what my project was and stop me from making a $150-200 mistake. He told me the bits I had were perfect already. I was very impressed he was more worried about me getting the right product then just selling a expensive bit. He showed me a new router as an upgrade to mine just to make what I was doing that much easier. So because the experience I had I wont be looking to buy ANYWHERE else. As long as the staff continues to be this helpful I am going to be making this my first stop for all wood working tools and supply.

I assumed we would be getting a much better grade of plywood ($66/sheet) than we would at any of the other lumber yards, but I no longer think that. The piece on the right has a good size bow to it. If you apply ANY pressure to straighten it, like when it will be installed, it just comes apart, which is what you see in the other 2 pieces. I spoke with their manager and all they would do is replace some of it if we returned most of each sheet. That would be fine except 75% of the 5 sheets we purchased are being painted. I understand this is more of a manufactures defect than it is Timber Woodworking, but I dont think there is any advantage to purchasing from them over any other supplier. So, if your doing any cabinet work or work that requires a quality product, you may want to take your chances elsewhere.Note: the alder we purchased was nice wood.

What a wonderful place. Ive been looking for a woodworking machinery/tool store ever since I moved to the Phoenix area. I never thought I would find one. Timber has all the tools, new & used. Reminds me of Berlands House of Tools in Illinois. Out here in the west we dont have woodworking shows. But going to Timber Woodworking is the next best thing! Love this place.

I had a fantastic experience with these guys. First, they were the only lumber supplier in the east valley that had all of the specialty materials I needed. Second, they were incredibly helpful in getting the materials picked and loaded. In fact, they did it all. Im used to having to do that for myself. Finally, when I went to check out they informed me that spending a little extra ($40) qualified me for a discount that saved me $100. They had no obligation to let me know that. It showed a high level of integrity. I will definitely be back!

Love this place and the people there. They have so many toys, it can make it hard to choose. Thats when the knowledgeable staff come into play, they are able to steer me in the direction of the tool or wood that will be best for me and my projects. If you havent used their milling department, then you are missing out, very helpful, fast, and reasonable prices.

I called to make sure that the store was open (as I have gone there in the past to find that they are closed) and a lady picked up the phone, I asked her how long they were open that day, she informed me they were open until 5pm.I went over at about 4pm to find the hardwood part of the store, closed, again. So I went next door to see if I had to have someone come open it for me or what. They appeared to be having some kind of a class there, the person I asked to help me said he was only there doing demos and to check at the counter. I went to the counter, no one was there, my wife sat by the cash register with another gentleman who was hoping to by something. I walked around the store for about 10min, returned to my wife. Still no one helping us. We left. I dont know if the other man at the counter kept waiting, but i know there has to be other stores in town that are more helpful.

I picked up some bandsaw blades. I had some questions on the blade setup. The salesperson was very helpful. He took me to a bandsaw on the floor to demonstrate.

If I could, Id give a zero starI was in the store looking to get setup with router table. Was looking at the lifts for router. No one acknowledged I was even in the store. Multiple employees walked passed me but never tried asking if I needed help or anything. It wasnt until I leaving the store that all of a sudden someone wants to ask if I had any questions. And I was 1 of 2 customers in the store and counted 5 employees, 3 of which were just talking with a customer.

Called in an order for a couple Powermatic jointer parts. The person taking the order took down the wrong item number for the part I needed - instead quoting me for a cheaper, but incorrect part.When the order came in I was forced to purchase the part that was ordered in error in order to get the rest of my order.Terrible service. Cheap, greedy, and overpriced.
