We had to have some significant work done on our car and I can not praise this place enough. They were kind, informative, helpful, and punctual. The best experience Ive ever had with any work done on my cars. Its some extra distance for us but we will go out of our way to continue getting our cars serviced here in the future.

Our battery died and we had a new one installed. The new one died within the hour. It was Friday at noon and we were scheduled to leave early Friday morning driving the ssme vehicle 1300 miles. I called Merci J and told them we thought the alternator was damaged. Adele told us to get the car in ASAP and they would do the best they could to get it repaired by the end of the day. The car arrived at the shop at 12:30PM and we had it back by 5:30 PM and were able to leave the next day. The car rsn beautifully during the trip. We are extremely grateful for all they did.

This place has been great so far. I read reviews and thought Id give it a shot. The front desk lady was super friendly, helpful and actually knows vehicle mechanics. They initially quoted me for the repair but when it came time to pay, the cost was cheaper than expected. Their price was also cheaper than their competitors as well. I got my car back and 2 weeks later I received a letter from them containing a $20 credit towards a service they had noticed was going to be needed soon. Ive never known an auto shop to do that. Ive gone back twice now and Ive had the same excellent service as before. I love the consistency of good customer service I get here.Definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

My 2006 Honda Element was starting to show its age and had developed an annoying clanking in the front of the vehicle whenever I encountered the slightest road surface deviation. I brought the vehicle to Mercie J and Michael diagnosed the problem as failed dampers on the rocker arms. Adele made me an appointment for the following week whereupon the rocker arms were replaced and Im proud to announce that the car drives like a new vehicle with no more clanking.While they had my car, they found some other issues (rear brake pads and a pressure sensor) that needed replacing. I went ahead and had them do that as well and they let me know that the sensor hadnt really failed but merely the gasket. This saved me a fair amount of cash and I appreciate their honesty and professionalism.Mercie J did a thorough examination of my car and provided me with a computer printout of maintenance issues that may be a problem in the near future. This is a wonderful service for folks like me who hold onto their cars for a long time and wish to keep them in good running condition.I am very pleased with the courteous attention from Michael, Rick, Adele and Carlos and the excellent repair work done on my Element. Thanks for the Werthers Originals as well (my favorite).

Our truck was towed in due to a crank but no start condition. After discussion with Adele and Rick, we decided to have the fuel pump replaced. Since then, the truck has started every time. I’m extremely disappointed. We have been coming here for years. Have had friends vehicles brought here . The passenger side headlight wasn’t working. They said it was fine the drivers side wasn’t. So they fixed the one we had Never had an issue with. But did nothing with the one that was the problem from the start. Driving home at night I had only one working light When I took it back which isn’t easy since the shop is far from our home they charged me to fix it. I feel this is wrong . *** your false. And in accurate response to this review is laughable***. YOUR technician didn’t replace the correct one the first time*** again NEVER A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER SIDE*** now you are making excuses for it! This lack of responsibility is why we will be looking for a new place to take our vehicles. For years we have trusted you. But I’m not sure what changed in your leadership/business practices. But will find someone with more integrity to care for our property !

We have a 2011 Honda CR-V with about 160k miles on it and the transmission recently started having problems. Its in great shape otherwise, but replacing a transmission on an aging vehicle is a costly and scary repair. Should you spend that much on a 10 year old vehicle?Obviously, a mechanic doesnt have a crystal ball! Ive been using Mercie J Auto Care to maintain all of my vehicles for a couple years now. During that time, they have always been efficient, reliable, honest, communicative (before and after the repairs!), and compassionate about these types of decisions.This time was no different. They provided an estimate that was difficult to swallow, but we felt like it made sense given the overall great condition of the CR-V. They replaced it with a transmission that has a three year, 100k mile warranty and literally did it in about 36 hours.I couldnt be happier with the service I receive from Mercie J each and EVERY time I come in - whether its an oil change or a transmission replacement, Adele, Michelle, Ellen, Michael, Rick and the entire team do fantastic work and take care of their customers. I would NOT have done this repair without that history of complete trust in their expertise, capability and guidance.

What a great find! Mercie J Auto Care diagnosed and fixed a problem that I had been having for quite some time. My husband is a great mechanic but there are some things that just take too much time & are too big of a job to tackle. I cant say enough good things about Mercie J Auto Care and their staff. Tempe dodge was trying to tell me that my car needed a new engine because it was deteriorating. Thanks to Mercie J I saved thousands of dollars by them verifying that I did not need a new engine. Adele is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Rick one of the owners had the car ready on Friday, 4 days after looking at the car when initially I was told it would not be ready until the next Tuesday. They are super professional, friendly, very efficient and very reasonable cost wise. So glad I was given their name.

Very helpful accommodating my schedule conflicts to get my vehicle serviced. When asked to inspect the Air Conditioning they were very helpful and honest with their assessment. I was delighted with the integrity demonstrated and will be using them for all my vehicle needs in future.

A nice, family owned auto care center, that I accidentally discovered. Rick (co-owner) and Michelle (front desk) with whom I interacted were absolutely magnificent and explained the major issues and associated costs upfront. They also produced a comprehensive inspection report that detailed all the issues nicely and classified them into three risk categories. This was very helpful in prioritizing the work. Even though I didnt actually speak to the folks who executed the repair work on my car, Ray (master technician) left his card for any follow up questions that I might have. This was a very nice touch. Their warranty is for two years and gives me peace of mind. All in all, a nice experience, unlike my normal experience with most garages. I highly recommend this place.

My mom recommended I bring my car here as she was very pleased with the service she received. This was the first good sign, my mom is very particular about things, in a good way. Michelle was very helpful from the first phone call to me picking up my car. When I got there, Rick took a ride with me to hear the noise that my car was making, cant say I have had this happen where I have previously taken my car(dealership). He also went through all my old maintenance records that I have saved over the years. For the record I drive a 2008 Honda Civic SI. The problem with my car was diagnosed by the technician along with some other recommendations to improve the performance of my car. The information was texted to me with a written description along with pictures. I really appreciated that. I decided to have it all taken care of. They were able to complete the work in the same day, which I did not expect. When I picked up my car, all repairs were gone over with me by Michelle. I felt the pricing was very fair. I have to say, it was the first time I walked away from having my car fixed and not feeling like I was ripped off. As I drove away in my car, the first thought that came into my mind was how good my car was running. Thank you to everyone who works there. Overall excellent experience. I did not feel like there were any up-selling attempts, and the issues and repairs were clearly articulated in discussions before any work was done. There was a sincere a thorough attempt on their part to identify the proper source of the problem. Upon inspecting the repairs following their completion, I was impressed with both the quality of the repairs and the quality of the parts used in the repair. The replacement of hybrid batteries that failed after 17 months of being installed in my Lexus. The warranty was in place and took care of the entire replacement at no charge to me. My first visit to Mercie J Auto Care was different then any other automotive shop I have been to. The lobby was clean and the staff greeted me with big smiles and were beyond friendly. I went in because I feared my brakes were bad. After the technicians and owner took a look at the car they explained the brakes to my vehicle have certain material that causes them to squeak once and awhile. They said I have about 70% of my brake pads still there. They didnt try to sell me new brake pads or anything. Rarely do you go to an auto shop and not get sold on something.My Second experience with Mercie J Auto was great as well. I called them to make an appointment. Once again worried I had some major issues because my steering wheel would shake at 10 miles an hour. We were in middle of scheduling an appointment when owner and Master technician walked by. Adele who I was speaking to grabbed them and they spoke to me over the phone. They said it sounds like I may have a bubble in my tire. They suggested to visit my tire guy. Once again didnt try to sell me. They have had my loyalty since both of my first transactions. P.S. They were right. My Tire guy was able to fix my tire issue for free and my steering wheel does not shake.Thank you Mercie J

I was borrowing my aunts car that is typically sitting for most of the seasons while I was in the middle of changing vehicles. This older Jaguar had some engine light issues dealing with some of the electronics that was causing low power from the engine. Mercie J found the source of the problem and had the car up and running safely after a day in the shop. Michelle from Mercie J Auto and Rick were WONDERFUL! I Received the best service EVER! From the very first phone call to the last call I was treated with friendly knowledgeable people and they even have a video you can watch on YouTube that gives you a mini tutorial on what their procedure or process is from beginning to end. I hate that I can’t remember everyone’s names however Michelle and Rick the owner/head mechanic have EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. When Rick called to let me know what all my car needs he knew how to explain everything in layman’s term so that I could understand. Go to MERCIE J AUTO if you need a mechanic. They even have a shuttle to take you back home if you have to leave your car; what other mechanic offers that? Except the big companies that charge an enormous amount of money and at Mercie J auto they even have great prices!

They were able to identify an issue that nobody else could figure out and repaired the vehicle in a timely manner at a reasonable price. Very nice folk as well.

Prius owners if you need work GO Here. They solved my issue after I pulled my car out of the dealer, turned out to be simple and a lot less than the 5k recommended cost none of which would have solved the problem. They know how to work on your Prius or any car. Clean shop friendly staff. Adele knows her stuff. Highly recommend this shop for any auto repair.

Had transmission fluid flushed on 2012 Camry at 100k. Should of done it sooner, but after the flush, it does seem to drive smoother, especially at the 38-40 mph range.

Warning: Their Old alignment machine may Not be able to do a 4-wheel alignment on a sports car.Technically, I didnt actually get any service here. Im just documenting my experience.Went in for a 4-wheel alignment, and 4.5 hrs after dropping it off, I get a call telling me that their old alignment machine can only do a 2-wheel alignment because my stock Nissan 350z is too low. I REALLY wish they had warned me about this possibility in advance.Pros:Seems like very nice people working there.Free fast Wifi in waiting room.They have a free shuttle service, but it involves using Your car.Neutral:They needed to keep my car for about 7 hours to do an alignment, which should only take about an hour. I was willing to wait a couple of hours, but that wasnt an option.No free estimates -- $30 to look at your car.Check for squeaking noise costs $99Cons:Mercie J Auto Care will Not use parts that I buy elsewhere (often at a much lower cost than what most shops charge).

This is a great shop. Very honest and upfront. I have been bringing our vehicles here for 3 years now and have never had a problem with their work. They also warranty the work if things still dont seem quite right. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs some auto work done. They may not be the cheapest guys on the block, but it has always been a fair price for the good work done.
