My girlfriend & I entered this gun range for the first time today! Coming from a (40 -50 minute drive) we entered the store and saw this old gentleman running the range. We approach him and we ask for a lane, for him to tell us he wont rent us one because Ive been drinking or smoking.... like what?I dont smoke and I havent drank today.Total waste of time. Though I understand the older gentleman (who I figured out was the owner) was only doing what he thought was right, his judgment wasted my time and gave me a bad first impression on his business.

Best range in the town, and lowest prices for ammo!!!I have been practicing here ever since purchasing my M&P Shield Plus, and I have had an incredible experience here every time. Received an hour of one on one training with Brian and he was excellent, easily doubled if not tripled my accuracy!!! Recommend coming here for sure. Steve is very kind and a lot of fun to talk to.

This is simply the best firearms store and range in Florida. Steve is a no nonsense guy who only charges a small mark up on cost. My recent purchase of a PWR MP5 was $400 less then the competitors price. And literally 50% of the price at the Orlando gun show!! During this times of threats against our rights to bear arms, price gouging is common place, yet Mr Kennedy keeps fair prices instead or lining his pockets like others!

The gentleman that work there are very inconsiderate and rude. I called earlier in the day to see if they were open. I asked if there was a rifle range for ARs they said yes. When I arrived, they told me nothing over 9mm. And asked me to leave because I didnt have an appropriate gun case (well within there rights). When I asked to purchase one. I was denied. When I asked to shoot my .38 and not my AR. Denied.

Decent little shop with an attached indoor range. Firearm prices are on the high end of reasonable, but prices on accessories were fine.Pros: Surprisingly good selection of accessories. Even some spare 10/22 stocks that got pulled off for upgrades. Not something you normally see in local shops, and very cool.Cons: Policy that in order for one to shoot at their range, one must buy ammo on-site and then shoot that ammo. Major turn-off for me personally, but apparently there are a lot of people who dont mind.Rating it at 3/5 stars, as Im not one to hand out 5/5 ratings, and the pros & cons cancel out to an average local gun shop rating.

The owner, Steve, runs a very safe & efficient range. No games.The prices are very reasonable on everything from lane time to ammo and arms. He provides a wide variety of new and previously owned arms to choose from for purchase . He also has rentals.The range hours work perfect for me on weekends.His assistance and experience is great when you need to pick his brain and get advice. Hasnt steered me wrong yet.The only draw back is its limitations on long guns. The range does not accommodate calibers of certain sizes so call in advance to see if you can use what you bring first.Its a small family owned range. Very friendly. Youll have a great time as long as you follow the rules. I highly recommend it.

Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly and so is their clientele. If a staff member doesnt have an answer to your question, chances are someone around will. Been going to the Gun Site on and off for over 30 years. The owner Steve always makes it a fun experience. You can rent a hand gun and even a machine gun. Nothing fancy - but what youd expect at a no nonsense range. An affordable family adventure. Ill definitely be going back.

While on holiday in Florida found this place online and my wife and I turned up to have a go. The owner Steve was really friendly and we chatted about what we were looking for and he made a few suggestions. Had a really good time trying a few pistols out, all done in a relaxed and non pressured environment. Certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area and looking to enjoy some target shooting.

Went in to the shop today with my boyfriend who happened to be wearing his certified gun instructor shirt. Immediately the owner was disrespectful and started laughing in his face. Asked a ton of questions about who we were and where he taught and wrote the information down like he can’t handle competitors. He was extremely disrespectful about my boyfriends service and retirement, because he Looked “too young” and laughed at his medical retirement. I met my boyfriend in Afghanistan and was attached to his battalion when he received his Three Purple Hearts... And this little gun shop commando thinks he is the bees knees of the earth. I would rather pay triple the price then ever buy something from him.

Prices are good the owner Steve is a very friendly guy his brother which works on Sundays its also friendly. You may ask them any questions you have very knowledgeable and if they are not sure they will find out for you. I would definitely recommend the gun site to anyone looking for a friendly place to get some target practice in.

The owner of this gun range was rude and made inappropriate jokes from the moment we walked into the building. This was my first time going to a gun range that required you to buy their ammo, which caused three of our guns to jam multiple times. I would not recommend going to this range.

The owner, Stephen is very knowledgeable and helpful for assistance in shooting, gun questions and for having a great assortment of pistols to rent to shoot as well as full auto rentals. Ladies night is a great time to bring Im the Mrs.s to find the gun that fits her to a tee! Ladies get to pick a wife variety of gims to choose from, so check store and range out, you wont regret it.

This small family owned shooting range is the best place to go in the Melbourne area. Blows frog bones out of the water although that’s. It exactly a hard task to do. Steve the owner of Gunsite remembers your name after your second trip there and makes you feel welcome every time. The prices here are great and the laid back but still safe atmosphere is a nice change of pace. Come here and see this place for your self I truely recommend it for anyone looking to shoot some paper.

Steve runs a great shop and range. The ammo prices are excellent and he is always a great help if you have a question. I will caution that sometimes it gets busy and it may take 5 to 10 minutes for check-in but you cannot beat the prices and convenance of the shop, range, and Steves service. Highly recommended.

The people are nice and all but you have to buy their ammo you can’t bring your own? First range I’ve been to where you can’t bring your own ammo. Very disappointing. I got like 350+ rounds I can’t even use. I guess I gotta go to Orlando to shoot

Great little gun range in Merritt Island. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and it felt like old times walking into the store.The range itself is your standard gun range - nothing fancy to see here folks. Although it doesnt have any of the modern trappings some of the newer ranges have (exact target range setting, target elevation, etc...). It gets the job done very well for what it was designed for - put target out, practice accuracy. The carpeting in the range stalls is a bit worn, but it will suffice.The interior of the shop proper is a little cluttered, and not as tidy as some other locations, but all this adds to the homey atmosphere of the place.Sure it could use a few updates - but if you need a place to hone your shooting skills with a staff that is friendly and helpful, this place can not be beat. When all the other ranges are overbooked - take the short drive to the Gun Site Range. You wont regret it.Also, for those of you with a little extra cash to spare (rental and ammo), they do have some machine guns you can play with.

First time ever shooting I came down for a few days from Toronto. Owner was really nice and helpfull and I even shot a few of the racks down and he was really cool about it and didnt make me feel like a clown Hahaha, hes got a good sense of humour. Definatly would recommend anyone too go too his gun shop!! Will definatly stop by again when I run next years marathon.

Went here with my father while he was looking into getting his first handgun since he lives in Merritt Island and I live in Orlando. This place is easily overlooked from the road, its right behind the 7-11 before crossing the 520 causeway to Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral. From the outside, it looks like its closed permanently but when you walk in, youll see that its still very much alive. The owner is nice, I had a good conversation with him about what my dad should look into getting for concealed carry. Range time prices are great provided you bring someone along. The range I usually frequent (East Orange Shooting Sports in Orlando, also a great place to go) is $9/person flat all day, and thats as cheap as it gets. The prices here were $9/hr, but its only $3/hr for a second person, and an hour is all you need really. Ammo must be purchased there if you want to use the range, but his prices are pretty cheap ($13/box of 50 9mm when going rate is at least $16 elsewhere). The range is in good condition and is fairly long for an indoor range, which is good. The owner mostly kept to himself but if we had any questions, he was more than happy to answer. I docked a star because some of his gun prices are a little steep (almost $600 for a XD9, for example when Ive seen them for $520 at EOSS) but he had a decent selection. When Im in the area, if my dad wants to go shooting, I have no qualms going here again.

I came here regularly when I lived in Melbourne. I moved to Jacksonville and only swing by when I am in town visiting. The owner, Steve, still remembers my name. Steve is very friendly, which, sadly, is not something you see in a lot of gun stores any more. The store is well stocked with a nice selection of new and used firearms. The prices are competitive, especially for ammo. They have several rental guns available to try out. The range does not allow high velocity rife, which is typical for indoor ranges. You do have to buy your ammo for the range in the store - kind o a pain but they are just trying to protect their backstop.

Great place to buy and use your firearm. I have been going to this store for years and have been using the range there for years as well. They will give you the best price and help you with a very knowledgeable staff. You can even get your firearm fixed there.

I love to shoot at the range, here. Steve is really friendly and helpful and has really good prices on what he sells. I live about a mile away, so it is very convenient for me to shoot there quite a bit when I have a few extra minutes. It is an older range, but Steve stocks a LOT of guns, ammo and accessories for the size of his store. Currently he does not do FFL transfers, so that is something to be aware of. Another thing to be aware of, is that he requires you to purchase ammo you will shoot there, from him as well as the targets. Both are fair prices. Protective eyewear and ear protection is free. If you know these things going in, you should have a really enjoyable experience. He is well respected by everyone I know in the local gun community.

Very disappointed. This is the closest facility to my new home. As a shooter, competitor and instructor there is no way for me to utilize their facility. They insist on ONLY Ammunition Bought from them be fired on their range. You can not function fire with your carry ammunition or sight in your pistol caliber carbine or lever action. His only response to each questions was Thats how I make my money

I go here at least 1-3 times a month never had a problem the owner, steve, has always been nice and respectful and extremely helpful anytime Ive had any issues the range is a normal range nothing special has lines marked at three different spots starting at 21 feet and ending at 50 maybe more i dont remember exactly, you do have to buy ammo from him but his prices are low and always solid a box of 9mm was less than $12 and .40 was like $15 range fee is minimal and he has rounds for any guns though the range stops at i believe.45 cal unless he approves but still great range awesome prices and friendly people

Ive been going there for years. Now that i live in melbourne i still travel there. Steve is a great guy and has good prices on ammo and guns. Range time is cheap enought also. Some comments complain about not being able to sight in with their carry ammo as steve requires using his ammo but i am always able to shoot some of my ammo also. Shhh dont tell steve
