Thank you walmart for absolutely ruining my daughters birthday cake. We brought home the first one and as soon as we open the box the top tier fell right off. Then we were told we would get a new one and it is completely slanted to the side as well and is missing the flowers on front. We paid $70 for this cake and Im furious

If I couldve gone somewhere else I would have. Staff always seem like your bothering them. There was food down the main walkway. Staff is less than helpful

They could be so much better! They need to start training their Associates better, better customer service and to take pride in their work. Its unfortunate half Associates do not care they can make a lot more than a million dollars a day at one store if they had their shelves stocked and Associates that were helpful but who am I just a consumer.

Walmart continues to offer great prices but more and more I am shopping either on Walmart s website or when I need a physical store, I am going to Target. Here are a few pictures of my last visit to the Merrillville Walmart. I got a headache trying to navigate this mess but I couldnt find the asprins.

Terrible customer service. I wanted to exchange my jeans bc they were waaaayyy too big. She says all I can give you is $1 bc thats what these jeans go for now. So to prove a point, I walked back to the jean section and the same pair and brand was $25-$30. One thing I cant stand is a liar or a lazy worker. I have NEVER dealt with something that that at any store. Meijer will even give me money back if I want to exchange or if its not an even exchange theyll say its fine, were not going to not let you get your clothes over $2-$5. Unbelievable experience.

Its Walmart, sometimes you cant avoid going there. Its pretty messy ( probably due to customers) both in the bathrooms and merchandise is scattered all around. Its fine. Not like somebody died.

They almost always got what i need and then some!I especially love using their app for pick up orders. Thats the best way to shop and the people who have helped me at pick up have all been so polite and friendly.

The walmart barely had anything and there was these rotten strawberries laying around. Otherwise nice staff and people. I liked these flowers.

The lady working by the womans dressing room was really personable. Very helpful especially since my daughter was the one trying on clothes. Wish I knew her name because she deserves credit for her helpfulness.

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. Hardly anything in stock. Only one cash register open, so I did the self check out. Scanning my items and something comes up 3x the price I expected, so I press the button for assistance, takes forever for someone to come. Then I explain the item must have been in the wrong place and I didnt want it for that price. She says OK I have to get my manager, I think, odd she cant just take it off but I havent been to this location before maybe thats there policy. I continue scanning my items and I see the manager came up and speak to the employee the she goes off by the exits. I finished scanning my items. Then Im standing there forever waiting for the manager to come back, a button actually popped up on the check out screen, asking if I wanted to continue shopping or cancel the order, and that popped up 7 more times. Im getting angry at this point, call my husband to calm me down and I guess the worker over hears me and says I dont no why they cant take the item off, because then she comes over scans her little code and takes it off, Im like what the hell you could of done this all a long, and she says yeah but my manager still wants to talk to you, well I dont want to wait any longer to talk to her. And the worker walks off. Then I get my card out to pay and the check out pops up that I need the worker again in order to pay.

This is by far one of the worst Walmart CentersWaited 20 minutes calling for curbside pick up no one answered! Called the front desk no one answered. Finally after 27 minutes an associate came out asking me to move from the pick up spot and then I get some service. What a JOKE!I get home and the person who loaded my car crushed my groceries.

The Wal-Mart I go to pretty much have everything. But they do need to remolded this Wal-Mart look a little tattleBut a great store to shop reasonable pricing

Same unsafe crack on exit floor. Has been this way for over a year. I think they glued some pieces onto it like a puzzle.. Always dirty and stock not out away. The Portage indiana store is always neater and fully stocked.

As always I loved it! Found some Buffalo Ranch Doritos my husband loves so much. They dont have them often at all. So if you see them you better grab them. I wish they would stock them on a regular basis. (ᴖ◡ᴖ)♪

For a person that needs a mobile cart, you must arrive when the doors open first thing in the morning. Would be nice if they had more carts for those who cannot walk the store to shop. Otherwise, Its a good place to shop if you can walk.

Although I was able to find what I needed the store is NOT pleasing to the eye. You hear employees cursing while talking to each other without a care in the World. Then the lines are ridiculously long because they only have 2 cashiers and the rest are selfservice. Walmart needs to revamp their way of public service.

Order was ready for pick up. They had to substitute but the substitution was better for the same price. Very friendly.

Many shelves were empty, and there was no one working at the deli counter. At the checkout, there appeared to be about eight self checkouts open and one lone register with a cashier. So, the line was down the aisle. Someone asked for another register to open, and the cashier replied that there were none. Eventually a manager opened another register. The store did not have everything in stock that I needed, and service was poor.

I had a very good experience I was able to get a riding chair without a problem. I found everything I was looking for. And the associates were very helpful

ANYONE WHO HAS RATED THIS STORE HIGHLY you need to shop at other stores and open your eyes. 4-REAL DIRTY, RUDE, NO PRODUCTS, AND EMPLOYEES WHO DONT WANT TO DO THEIR JOBS. How can anyone think this store is decent? This is many years in the makings of unacceptable.

It really depends on time of day. Peak hours expect long lines and rude workers. I needed to pick up photos. After a 45 minute wait and 5 employees talking and laughing NOT working, I was told my prints were not ready. I sent them in the day before and got an email they were ready. Zero stars for that tripWent back late at night. Friendliest 2 employees there. Very helpful. 5 stars for the night crew.

The young greeter wouldnt have noticed if an armed robber was walking thru the doors on my way in or on my way out! She was totally focused on her cell phone, not good!!On a good note, there was plenty of their delicious cookies for my sons graduation party!

I can just about always can find what Im looking for. This is what I hate from all Walmarts there is not enough check out lanes open with a physical person. I dont mind going thru self checkout for just a few items, but when I buy for the whole month it is soo hard for me to scan, bag, put in cart, look up items, wait for someone to help me then pay. Then you find out you cant get any cash back. I still have to load, unload my car. Im ALL worn out.

I have to give Walmart a five-star because most of their employees are super nice! Their prices keep going up but thats to be expected everywhere right now. And its really the only store to shop in our area that has everything when you need household items.

Walmart Had everything I needed and this time I needed grocery, pastry, and clothing! Produce was fresh and plentiful too! I Found pastries fresh and a bit of selection and I also bought clothes! A really nice pair of bell bottoms lounge pants a blk and white long sleeved pullover nice and lightweight /Jersey feel,, mmmm!I also got my eyebrows threaded. Ofcourse there was a good wait but they look great! Im happy, they always do a good job, so its worth the wait! 👀👍👍So Walmart superstore satisfaction!! I used the self service check out, easy peezy!!

In trying to call Walmart there was no one to pick up the phone in any department except for pharmacy in the course of a 1-hour period I had to call four times to get four different departments a second store and still no one can locate an employee that employee is Collin Waterston and at the moment I would rather speak to Colin then leave the review of Colin here

This Wally Mart location in Merrillville, IN looked like a bomb went off in there. My family and I went around the time school was about to start, so, I guess you can blame that. Hire more employees and pay them double. Sams Club and Walmart both within walking distance and cant beat that. Walmart and Sams Club executives if you read this, you have the best location there, plenty of parking and the ability to provide services to three or more towns that surround your locations. Invest heavily in training and quality personnel or this will be a large flea market in the future.

I shop there frequently. I can usually find what I am looking for. There are always a limited number of cashiers, never enough cashiers so lines can be long. I only use self serve registers if I only have couple items. I prefer to have a person in a checkout line.Keeps people working,!

Clean bright. The personal that collected the items for customers curbside pick up. Are rude. They block whole isles. With bad attitudes towards people just doing daily shopping.

I liked it because of variety and prices. I Did NOT like no open lanes. 😒

Zero stars!!! Again!! Absolutely terrible experience!! Only 2 registers open at 1pm on a Friday!! I only give my money to Walmart because they are the only retailer that has a particular item that I buy. And of course I was running low. I knew it was going to be a terrible experience! Received great advice on planting tomatoes from Garden Center employee. She used app to see if store had any in stock, which it did. Directed me to area where they shouldve been. Asked another older, female employee who worked in fabric department. She stated Walmart doesnt carry that particular item. You have to go to Michaels.Another employee found the item in a different department.

I never have a good experience here. Go to Portage. Today, I picked up my first curbside order at this location. When I parked, my app was messing up and wasnt registering my parking location. So I called the number on the parking sign, but no answer. I call six times no one ever answered. Finally, my app registered my parking spot and Im sitting there waiting I realized there was four other cars. They were there before I parked. 20 minutes ago by and not a single employee walked out of that door. Just before I got ready to call customer service, someone came out. The ladies parked next to me were yelling at them saying they were there for over a half an hour. It took 30 minutes for me to receive my order. At Portage, the longest I have ever waited was 10 minutes with all fourteen parking spaces full!I would like to think this is an isolated incident but I have gone there waiting for paint or material being cut and waiting for 20 to 40 minutes before someone slowly makes their way to the counter. I normally ask a nearby employee or go to electronics or the fitting room and ask if they could page somebody for me, and they always do. I always leave someone at the counter while I do this so we dont miss them. There has been times where Ive had to get on my cell phone and call the customer service desk to let them know I have been standing for over 20 minutes, have asked over four employees to page somebody for that department just so I can get paint mixed or I can get fabric cut and still no one has showed up. This has happened multiple times. Its not just me, I have been in lines where others said that they had people paged and have been waiting awhile, so I go looking for help also. This branch is either extremely unorganized or they hire the laziest employees ever.

Old hag in the front greeting people wouldnt let me and my service dog in because of him not having a specific vest even tho hes trained worst person ever to greet people never coming back to this wallmart again

Dirtiest Walmart I have ever been in. The air wreaks in the store and the aisles are filthy. Clean this place up. Its shameful

There was trash scattered all over the parking lot. The state police officer who was working one of the entrances was cleaning up some of the trash while the employees were just standing around talking. Inside the store was better. They had more items in the grocery section in stock making shopping easier. Checkout looked like they were long lines but the lines were moving fast.

Super ghetto at this store. Things are always in disarray. They must have alot of thefts because no matter what if you buy something legitimately at the register they are gonna ask to see your receipt at the door. I act like i dont hear them and keep walking anyway. I avoid this place like the plague.

This Walmart is race towards certain customers. Management is lazy and don’t care. All they do is sit around and talk to each other or pull there phones out and start texting while standing at the register or on the front line. Management don’t listen to their customers. Wendy is a “Karen” would get in your business and then walk off as if she know she made a huge mistake. Jasmin B is very helpful when it comes to a man. I would NEVER SHOP AT WALMART AGAIN. Target will get my money. Teach your employees their job and give them the appropriate tools to work with.

Other days I have rude, uninformed staff clearly not wanting to help me, and the added bonus of very limited retail as if the selves were ransacked. Ive been ordering groceries via the pickup line and these workers go above and beyond at the Valparaiso location. I try so hard to tip them, but they always tell me they arent allowed to accept tips, but they deserve them !

If I could rate them 0 ⭐️ I would. This Walmart is so terrible & ghetto. The shelves are never organized & are never stocked, the employees are ghetto & rude to older customers. This older woman that was in the old people carts, came during senior hours, no registers were open so she had to go to self checkout. She asked an employee with that was big & had black and purple braids if she could get help scanning her items. The ghetto a$$ employee said with terrible attitude, “ I can’t help you, that anit my job.” And didn’t even hear out the poor woman. This Walmart doesn’t deserve my money. I don’t shop at target but from this point on I think I am.

The walmart is conveniently local. I was out shopping for a large hard shell suitcase. Although I didn’t make a purchase, there were several good options to my surprise.

This location is extremely clean, well stocked, clean parking lot. Theres signs that say no truck parking however directly next to the Walmart is a Hobby Lobby and a closed business next to thats big enough for parking. All the food was fresh and the essential cleaning supplies were in full supply. Excellent place to shop!

Sorry I love my Merrillville Walmart. I dobt get attitude and snobs like the other Walmart.

This place never has anything. And when they substitute products its not even close to what you ordered. Plus they dont shop every item on your list. One time they said they didnt have my water for my pick up. I walk right in the store and there it was. The workers are very lazy

Sometimes its good sometimes its bad....had a bad experience there with a stranger. Just be careful a lot of busy bodies there, wanting to start fights with random people for no reason

There r 8 places for pick up only & people parked n some spaces& then go in the store. You need to enforce pick up only. I had to wait to get a numbered place to even let u know I was there for my order. I waited 20 min for pick up. Please enforce pick up only! Meijers doesnt enforce theirs & a bunch of us quit shopping there.
