My boyfriend and I came to this store twice! The first time was when we were browsing and comparing prices. As students, budget and price is important to us! The associate was super nice! I forgot his name but I think he was the manager there. The first time we went in, he greeted us and allowed us to browse and was not pushy! He was very informative and even try to give us the best price, like I said we were trying to compare prices, he was super nice and he told us himself that we could totally go and compare prices! He made sure he told us that we are welcome to come back and happy to help us :D which we went around couple other places to compare prices and customer services! We came back the second time to purchase it and the process was smooth and easy! We even loved the mattress!! Had it for a week and we have been having great sleep

Mark Schubert was an amazing representative. He spoke with my wife over the phone because she was interested in Tempur-pedic and gave her a great amount of product knowledge. While I am myself I am more a researcher, I went into his store in merrillville send asked for some product literature. Not only did he give me the literature for the product in question, but he made sure to give me the literature for both the upgrade and downgrade so that I could make a clear comparison to what I was purchasing. Upon my wife arrival at the store he made sure to find out what both of our comfort needs we’re so that he could find a gentle median. My wife is a stomach sleeper therefore she I would do best with a soft style whereas I am in a back sleeper who needs firm support. My wife immediately took a liking to the Tempur-pedic rhapsody contour and Mark made sure to let her know that it would not be comfortable and the positions that she likes to sleep in. Little did she realize she was laying on her back when she tested that specific bed which is why it felt comfortable to her. The fact that he was able to take this into consideration after her only telling him once that she sleeps on her stomach most of the time was Something that I found astounding. He then catered to me by going over all the differences in each Tempur-pedic they carry down to the last detail. Mark‘s customer service was top of the line and he Will be my go to when I replace my children’s pads. My wife insisted she wanted to take our wonderful new bed home today. Even though Mark expressed that he had A torn rotator cuff, he still agreed to help me load the merchandise into my truck. Mark went above and beyond for my family. American mattress should be honored to have such a respectable, considerate, remarkable representative as a member of their team.

Excellent experience. My wife and I arrived about 15 minutes after they opened. Sales Representative (cant remember his name, started with an S) was amazing. Told him what we wanted and he gave us options that were a wide range of prices. Didnt push for the most expensive. Delivery went off without a hitch, overall excellent service!

I arrived at the store in Merrillville where I was happily greeted by Mr. Shaun who welcomed me into the store. It was refreshing to be welcomed to a place a business. I asked to see a hard queen side mattress and he preceded to show me various grades of hard mattresses. I could feel that he loved his job and gave a smile with his assistance. I was so impressed and it was refreshing to receive excellent courteous service. Good service is not often found these days. I decided on and purchased a mattress and noticed the store also sold futons. I mentioned to Mr. Shaun that I would return to purchase a futon at a later time. I was unable to return to the store due to a leg problem. So, I called the store and spoke to Mr. Shaun who assisted me with purchasing the futon and frame. Once again, I received excellent service. So, I purchased the futon and frame over the phone. Oftentimes, I do not feel that some stores,(not specifically American Mattress), realize the importance of good customer service will bring return visits and purchases. I can truly say and am proud to say that the customer service at American Mattress in Merrillville, IN has excellent customer service and merchandise. My experience yesterday was fabulous. David made mattress shopping easy. He told me the different types of mattresses he wasn’t pushy, he gave me a chance too walk into the store and explain to him what I was looking for and my price range.
