I came into here with a lot of credit issues and together me and April were able to work through those issues and I drove out a happy customer. I came in on my last leg with my truck need tires.. brakes. Rotaters. Calipers. My power steering was leaking everyday needing to be refilled daily or it was hard to turn. Back tail lights needed rewiring And my air conditioner blew once every 6 mothns for 30mins. To fill up costed me 90 bucks just to go to work an back a week. Fumes started seeping in the truck causing me to have a headache.But I was able to walk in and out with a kia soul 2014 (3days)I am very pleased with the vehicleIt will be cheaper on gas.But I Dont plan on keeping it because its to small Im 57 with a big backside and the seat is not ergonomically good for my shape the head rest is very uncomfortable and I have a back ache every time I get out from driving. This is a teenager starter vehicle or for petite individuals thats just my opinion.Tammy and April helped get me in the car.I can build up credit because I have little credit. I pay everything I cash. Thanks to the staff for working their magic.This is a give everybody a chance company but you will get charged High interest rate.My vehicle has dog hair that I wasnt told about. It took 1month to get it down to a few hairs a day by scrubbing and vacuuming daily.It is embedded in the carpet. Thank God Im not allergic to dog hair.I have been going back to the dealer almost every 3 weeks. The air conditioner starts to blow hot air. I really need the air condition because I have breathing issues. I wasnt told that was broke either. Had I known I would have gotten another vehicle with a proper working air conditioner. Im a trucker so when I come off the road I take it Byrider mechanic to get charged. I am looking to pay this off ASAP. As with any vehicle do a THOROUGH check off everything. Better yet take it to a outside mechanic for them to tell you whats going on.Byrider did agree to fix the air-conditioner so back I shall go to make another appointment to get that fixed. I spend 35 bucks a week on gas In the kia.Next truck will be a new Tahoe. Yessss.Chevy here I come. I really wish I would have never trader my trail blazer in they only gave me $500 but I probably would have come out of pocket on the regular to keep it running. I do miss the bigger truck a d ride. It took them almost a month to return my car when the transmission went out. They did not return calls in a timely manner. I’m talking days before a return call was made.

This was and still is the worst experience of my life...would give it zero stars but unfortunately thats not an option...they stole my extra spare tire from my trunk...refuse to look at their cameras...my car is not driveable and yet they still want 300$ to tow it to them...then take a week to even look at it...meanwhile the whole time im supposed to pay for a rental full price out of pocket?...and all the GM or merriville byrider has to say about it is that thats their poilcy???...#worst experience and customer service EVER...

Save your time, money, and sanity! Do not buy from here! This has been a horrible experience. They keep your vehicle for days and don’t fix what they say they’ll fix.(even if it’s in the original purchase agreement) The service department has no supervision to file a complaint. This company has no follow through. They also wrecked my car and didn’t fix my bumper. I don’t understand how Ron in the service department has his job. Worst car buying experience every. I am filing will the BBB.CNAC financing company has been no help! They partnered with this horribly ran company. I hope they get shut down! My advice; go elsewhere!

(Fair Warning) this is my first car. The sells staff was great! However, DO NOT come here if you are not the most patient person and don’t have all the time in the world. There service department does the bare minimum. They lack care and communication. They promise to pay you back for a rental, only while the car is being served. However they will not tell you when they start to work on it. Therefore I was without a car for a week almost 2 while they wait for parts and work on it. Then I had another problem a week after they “fixed” my car. I was without a car for a week again because they couldn’t see me sooner. Even when my appointment came, they made me wait 45min just to look at your car. Then didn’t even tell me what’s the problem or what they are doing. I waited another 45min before having to ask them what’s going on. Like I said they lack care and communication.
They were absolutely wonderful. April was super sweet and very helpful! I will be coming back in the future!

Best experience I ever had buying a vehicle
I purchased my 2013 Cruz in March of 2020 and I was so pleased with the staff that assisted me. I was disappointed when I was only given 1 key for my car and it didn’t come with floor mates. I was very happy when I was told I had a 4 year 60,000 miles warranty!! I guess I should have read all the fine print! I was told I would only have a $50 deductible which pleased me! Well!!! During the summer the car overheated, I check and I was low on coolant. I didn’t think much about it.. Then once fall hit I slowly started smelling coolant but I didn’t see a leak anywhere! Then winter hit and BOOM! I started smelling coolant when I would turn on my heater then my blower motor for my heater stopped working.. I called to get the vehicle in the shop and of course I had to wait a week! So, then I get the call from the shop that there was a leak with my radiator hoses, my blower motor and my water pump! It cost me $300 for the repairs so apparently the warranty wasn’t what I thought... Well 2 days after I pick up my car I have a massive coolant leak which I didn’t even see a leak previously!!! There is coolant all over my engine and I see it flowing from the new hoses they repaired! Of course it’s Saturday and they don’t open til Monday! I know things happen but come on!!! It’s been out of the shop for 2 days!

Very unprofessional if I could give it 0 stars I would they lie to you even though you tell them the truthTammy the general manager was no help fast talking female that tried to get over on you and have you come in to boost their number you come in to boost their numbers as far as visiting claim to be buy here pay here that dont look at your credit that dont look at your credit but that is a lie do not shop with this place I rather go get a big wheel from Toys R Us than to deal with them ever again Its had me waste the entire morning and late for work messing around with them just trash.

Ask for Charles / CJ. He wont just put you in any old vehicle. He’ll make sure you get something you like. He let me test drive 3 different vehicles, sourced vehicles from other dealerships, got me a lower interest payment, and I’m just exceptionally satisfied with my experience. Best car buying experience I’ve had thus far.
The sales department is great and well stocked with kindness. As for the service department though, not so much. My car has been in their shop too many times, I stopped counting after the tenth time. They forgot to put a couple bolts back on our transmission they replaced and came to find out they didn’t put a new transmission in and tried saying they only put two of the bolts on it because that’s how they received it and we’d have to pay for the rest of the bolts or whatever it is they are. So if that’s how they received it then that’s how we received it when we leased it. We only had the vehicle not even six months when the transmission was replaced. Then there was the engine and sway bar links among many other parts that were replaced. The battery was supposedly replaced with a new one before we drove off the lot with it but within a few months we needed a new battery. Then there was a time I went to pick the car up and it wouldn’t start and they said it’s because my phone charger was plugged in all weekend but when the car is off it doesn’t stay lit up and can’t be used unless the car is on. I’m not sure where their mechanics earned their degrees but they do not know what they’re doing. Then you make an appointment and they take someone else’s car back who didn’t have an appointment and was complaining about needing her car done at that moment which I understand people have schedules and work but the mechanics could have asked me if I minded waiting while they looked at her car. Mine was taken in the shop after an hour past my appointment time of waiting for hers to be done mine was only in the garage for ten minutes. Their customer service skills are just ridiculous and so unprofessional. We make our payments on time and deserve to be treated right and fairly. On two separate occasions I’ve heard the mechanics come in from the garage and bad mouth me and other customers and the receptionist will say “she’s in the waiting room” so then they start to whisper. There’s so many other situations I could share if I felt like typing them all. They don’t own up to their mistakes and blame you, the customer, for things they do wrong or try saying they didn’t do at all like the lady whose car they took back at my appointment time they said she must have had an appointment because we don’t do that here. Even though I was behind the lady and heard her clearly say she doesn’t have time to make appointments and needs her car fixed because of her work schedule. Other people work too and have places to be. I cannot wait for this car to be paid off and be done with jd byrider altogether. Well at least the one in merrillville!
The dealership staff were great. I had an insurance roll over which caused minor delays in paperwork, but nothing major. They did get my payment schedule wrong which caused another call and more paperwork to correct. That said it was still a good experience.

I went to another dealership 2 hours before this and left devastated. By chance, got in contact with Charles and he told me he could get me driving. I didn’t believe him at first but I said whatever. I took a $50 uber because something about the way this sales rep was handling the situation was promising. I get there and he made sure I left with a car. The bottom line is, these people will not waste your time and will definitely take care of you. Good looking out.

Mike helped me with my 2008 Saturn aura that had me nervous before work. I shared my concern and he immediately took the car in and looked at it and bam he fixed the problem. Every time I have an issue I always end up with Mike working on my vehicle. I am very pleased with his customer service and his skills. He even made a few jokes with my children to keep them peaceful.

Purchased my 2011 Chevy Cruze in March and since then everything has been going wrong wit this car and they haven’t been able to fix anything. Now something is wrong with the transmission and they are telling me that I can’t even get my car looked at until the 22nd-23rd.
