Sear been a great store 30 years when I start shopping.

Great store. This sears is so clean and the prices are great. It was honestly the best sears experience Ive ever had. I recommend going and shopping here any day of the week. Quality was good and the prices were better than I had experienced at the competitors. 10/10 I would recommend

If youre looking for a place to find good deals on shoes for the whole family... look no further. This location always has good sales.I give them three stars because, they never have enough cash registers open, and the lines to pay are always so freaking long! Also, the shoe Dept is a bit disorganized, so you have to hunt a bit to find your size, and style of shoe you want...but still totally worth the savings.

Found everything I needed without the help of any employees. If youre looking for below average customer service this is the place to go. If it werent that I needed the jeans that I found there I wouldve went somewhere else. The prices are good comparably. It seems like the employees dont get treated very well. The cashier was friendly though.

Its ok, usually empty. I could give you the I remember back in the day speech but I wont. We all know how retail is doing. I dont really find to many deals here although I do like there tire center. Put some tires on without issues and price was great.

Ordered a couple items online for in-store pickup. The machine to check in was down so I had to check in manually at the hardware desk. Picked up only one of my items because the other was out of stock, and basically just canceled on me, which i didnt notice on my pick up receipt. No problem I guess, at least the 2 guys that helped me were nice. Browsed around afterward and noticed lots of the hardware section was empty like they havent been restocking. Unfortunately, I think the end is near for this Sears location as well :(

All hands on deck....abandon ship. Sad to see such an iconic store leave the region. Unbelievable they couldnt bring their business model into the 21st century.

First time ever shopping at SEARS at Southlake Mall! Great deals! Great customer service! Found what i needed and then some extra things i liked and purchased as well!

Have always loved Sears. Been using them for as long as I can remember. At least 6 plus decades.

They advertise items at great prices and if its not in store they take your money and never get you the item. Then when you call to find out why you havent received it they cancel the order and but in the meantime the sale ends and you cant get the sale price. This is more of an issue with Sears as a company.

I was just in Sears Maryville. Waited almost 30 minutes for somebody to come help me in the work boots department. Told by two different employees that it wasn’t their department and they’d call somebody over. Never happened went back to the first person I asked found out he forgot to even call somebody. Will never buy a pair of boots there again.

Always find great business attire for younger people. Shoes have good sales.

Cindy Dixon in the auto section was a great help. I came in with a road hazard warranty my tire had been discontinued and they were able to find a comparable Tire.

This is the only Sears close to my house so obviously I go there. Its nice because its quiet and not crowded. As far as the employees go; for your average person I think theyll be a big help. But if your someone more advanced, you wont have any problem stumping most of them. But all and all the store is clean, organized, and the staff attentive.

For a store thats going out of business, the prices are still high. For example, I just bought a king size and twin size mattress, both high quality, at JCPenney for under $1500. At Sears, the exact same mattresses were $4500 just for the king mattress. And that was the sale price. Yes, I bought my Penneys mattresses on sale, but even without the sale, they wouldnt have cost as much as what Sears has the same mattress priced at. I think Sears is going out of business bc their prices are way too high.

Just witnessed a younger employee in the tools area (matt) belittle another employee who asked for help in getting myself as a customer taken care of. Matt seemed to be bothered by the fact he had to remove his attention from his cell phone to help completing the transaction then promptly removed himself from the area walking away and getting back on his cell phone.

This is the worst experience at sears I have ever had. I shopped in the boys.When I went to pay there was not 1 sales person on the entire upper level.There were other customers with no one to help.I had to drag all my clothes downstairs .There was 1 clerk and about 7 people in her lie with no help.She called for help but not one came.If my purchase had not been on sale I would have left everything !!

I visited the auto repair section. The undercover personnel are pretty obvious, but Im sure it helps people feel a little bit more secure. The service was routine.

As a former Sears employee, I understand how hard it can be when hours are cut and theres not enough employees on the floor. But... thats no excuse for poor customer service. I went to the register for checkout and an employee was counting the drawers. She didnt look at us or say anything, and I read the sign that told me to go to Mattresses or Appliances to check out. I went over to Mattresses, and there was absolutely nobody in sight. I waited a minute then walked back past the checkouts to the Appliance area. There I found an employee sitting down, and when I asked him about ringing up my items he told me I walked right past the registers. I explained that the sign directed me to his department, he told me that I would have to go downstairs. I can sort of understand how the employee counting the drawers didnt speak to us, but she could have at least pointed us in the right direction. And the employee in Appliances, well he obviously wasnt doing anything and he didnt even bother standing up to assist us.

They were good just had an oil change

Lots of great sales here. People seem to have forgotten about them. I wish people would shop there more often. If they go away it will be a shame because once they are gone they wont be back.😞 Support your local brick and mortar stores!

The package was too large to fit in my mini suv, so I suggested to take the items out the package. The young man who is an employee, helped me through out the process. I really appreciated him for that.

I found the clothes I wanted - no problem with that. The problem was with the pest of a saleswoman I had to deal with when it was time to pay. I kept getting this pushy spiel about signing for a Sears card, which I did NOT want. Even after saying no, She brought it up twice again after that! NO means no, doesnt it? I resent having something forced on me. Sears, if this is your policy to treat your customers as if they dont know what they want and need your salespeople to try to force them to take something they dont want, Im not coming back. I was there July 29 about 3 PM.

Had a new fridge delivered and a glass shelf broke upon delivery - after several frustrating weeks and countless hours on the phone trying to get the replacement part I finally went into my local Sears store in Merrillville, IN and I spoke with Guy from the appliances department and he was fantastic. He was so helpful and called for me to finally get things ordered properly, I received the replacement part when he said I would and have no problems since, thanks to Guy from the Merrillville Sears I can finally put milk in my refrigerator again!

They did not have any Brad nails for my Craftsman Nail Gun. The store looked practically empty. It was very disappointing since we always use Craftsman products.

I called them to double check that an item was in stock for pick up, like it said on their website. It took forever for them to answer the phone. They answered and asked what I was looking for, I old her it was a dresser and I had the item number. She hastily replied that they do not carry dressers without even asking for the item number. I would like to know why it says available for pick up today at the location if they do not have it. The customer service is terrible. My friend also tried to call. They hung up on her multiple times.

Just went to closing sale everything 50% off but i go there every weekend they doubled the price on all the tools stay away the only reason i gave 1 star is because 0 stars wasnt an option

Went in to purchase specific tires that were advertised on sale for my truck verified via Sears website and counter person taking appt.. When arriving with ride to drop truck off was told it was the wrong load range and price doubled - never again. Save your self the trip.

Lady was so helpful picking out my nieces Easter shoes.

I had bought a weedeater from here, it broke within a month of use, and I took it there to get it fixed. They told me that I was going to be 2 weeks I waited out never got a call, i called and the person who supposes to fix them was never there. They supposed to level hi a message (5 days in a row) and they never did. They filed the claim on the third week and he said he will call me when it was done its been a week and no calls and now they wont even answer the phone.

I bought all 6 appliances from this store. In store they advised I buy all the tools so their team could install upon delivery. However, they dropped appliances off and did not install. I called my sales person and she promised me money back and would call me with a new time to get her team back to install appliances. Never heard from her. Impossible to get a hold of them in store by phone as well. Terrible service for the amount of money spent at this store on 6 appliances.

So sad once a vibrant store,to a store with not much life.

Sears was great, had some good items on sale and customer service was excellent.

The tool department has been whittled down to next to nothing... difficult to find what you looking for. Very sad that the Craftsman brand is fading away!

Went on line to see where I could get my Craftsman drill repaired said go to Southlake Mall in Merrillville, IN. Got there and waited 14 minutes to get waited on and they said they do not do that and dont know where I would go to get it fixed. So much for Sears and Craftsman products. Never go there again.

Was disappointed hardly any toys were price marked. I was going to take the 2 things I wanted to the cashier to check the price, another disappointment one poor lady with a mile long line. I left my cart & left.

The store is sad went there to look for tennis shoes half of the shelves are empty shoes in the wrong area could not find what I was looking for. They didnt even have them in the back but they had them on the Shelf of a certain pair. Im sorry to say but I think thatll be the next Sears department store that will close

My grandparents ordered a fridge from. They were supposed to have it delivered between 3 and 5pm. They never showed up. My grandmother called and they then told her itll be there between 530 and 730.Well finally it shows up with extremely rude delivery men. One smelling horribly of alcohol and popping breath mints like candy. When she asked them to wear booties to protect her brand new carpet and laminate flooring they refused. While installing the fridge they dented the doors and tore the laminate floor. When she confronted the men they denied it up and down. My grandma stay persistent that they did and they finally admitted it. Then proceeded to complain on how much it would cost them. They tore the floor they should pay for it not complain that they have to pay for their poor work.Needless to say Ill never deal with Merrillville sears again. Nothing but rude, lazy, dishonest, and unreliable workers.

Horrible customer service I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes just to talk to someone to see if my order is available to be picked up which was suppose to be at the store yesterday. I’m about a half a second away from just canceling it and getting my money back.

Recently moved into a house and purchased a washer and dryer on line. I cancelled the washer and was told they would bring the dryer on that Saturday that I moved in. Saturday came and no dryer. They messed up and cancelled everything. What a huge inconvenience. Also the the customer service was horrible. The manager told me to reorder it and wait another week. I told him i was going to go to Lowes and get a new one. He didnt even care or try to make things right. I will never go threw sears again.

This store looks like it might go out of business any time soon, they will not give you a deal on any of their old lawnmowers, so i guess i will have too wate until they go out of business to get a better deal than.

Too bad that I have to leave one star! Dropped my snowblower off there to be repaired (under warranty) in SEPTEMBER. Husband has gone in several times to check on status, always told it was still being worked on or they were waiting on a part. I called today, FEBRUARY 4th (exactly 5 months later) and was told its appears to be taken apart and the guy on the phone didnt know the status. I told him to box up all my pieces and I would come pick it up and take it somewhere that knew how to treat their customers.

Seems like lots of empty space. Kind of a ghost town. Sad really

Terrible experience, both with product and customer service. Purchased top of the line Kenmore Elite washer/dryer. Within 3 cycles the dryer shorted out internally, melting wiring and causing my circuit breakers to trip. They refused to pick up the faulty product and told me I had to load it up and drive all the way to the store to drop it off, then they could re order the replacement. But it would be a week out.All I wanted was for them to deliver a replacement, and at that same time pick up the old defective unit.Instead I loaded up both items and returned them for a full refund. Who knows how much longer they will even be in business to honor a warranty.

Just like any other sears store. Building is falling apart. Ceiling tiles missing/broken/falling down. Light fixtures not working. Parking lot lighting lacking/not lit. Roof leaking. Building is lacking maintenance and serious need for updating. Alot of open unused floor space. Just a matter of time till this store closes unfortunately.
