I went to get a charger and cord for a cell phone. The lady that helped us tested one of their cords and charger and we found that it was not the cord or charger that was the problem. It was the port on the phone that needed repairing. She recommended a shop that repairs phones. Great service.
I have been dealing with Best Buy for 27 plus years And always have been more than satisfied! As things have changed in the last couple years Their online service is suffering. But you can go into the store and still get great customer care.
We were helped by Maurice the first day we were in. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the televisions and their pros and cons. Cannot say enough nice things about him and the service we were provided.We returned a few days later after discussing the purchase and felt with Tony. He was also very helpful and explained the total tech package and showed us a reasonable priced sound bar to pair with our new OLED.Very happy with the service we’ve been provided every time we have been in this location!
I ordered a Samsung smart washing machine online and a few days later Home Depot had it on sell. I got a price match with no questions asked. We also signed up for the membership. Ive always received good service here. No complaints.
Great staff all around and a friendly environment. My sister and I recently just upgraded our phones at Verizon but they never activated our phones which is not like them. We decided to go to Best Buy to figure out if they can fix this issue or not. We were helped by Shaun Marino who was exceptional in his field and helped us for an HOUR. He was very poised and friendly throughout his time helping us. He never seemed stressed or overwork while doing this. He end up getting our phones activated as well as some other things for our phones as well. Even while we were waiting, the staff were very understanding of the whole situation and did what ever it took to help us. I know from now on to come to Best Buy anytime I need another upgrade or anything pertaining to our phones. Thanks again!
I didnt give one star because best buy itself is great and their employees are as well. My issue is with geek squad and the fact that since having this membership that costed me $150, every time I need an installation done, besides the appointments being so far out (which I could understand a high volume of customers if that was the case, but Ive gone there and they had no customer, and gone back 45 minutes later and they still had no customer when I simply needed a loose wrote that I bought from best buy, to be fixed), they literally keep trying to talk me out of keeping the stuff I buy if its not from best buy as if Best Buy is the only business that has good quality material. One item was a product best buy actually sells, I happened to find it elsewhere for cheaper! I could go on and on.
So after we talked to someone and asked them for help by the refrigerators we waited 40 mins. Still no one came over, I had to go ask 4 different people before we received help. Getting it out to the van took an additional 35 more mins. If you decide to shop here, make sure u have time to spare.
Everyone Here That I have encountered is Very Nice But There Is This Lady Here She is 300 lbs Her Name Is Laura All She Does Is Lay On The TVs and Giggle With Her Friends.. EXTREMELY Unprofessional and her customer service skills are absolutely horrible. I wont ever go back here Ill just buy from Apple directly

Ive had enough with their new phone process. You can no longer call a Best Buy store, instead, you get pushed to an automated line which is horrible, only to get to a customer rep who doesnt understand what the store offers or do they allow you to speak to someone who is qualified to help.My printer was having an error that I wanted someone reputable to take a look at aka Geek Squad. I reached out to the store, to get pushed to the automated line, which I got stuck at, after entering 0- 50 times, I got setup with a customer rep who set me up for a printer repair at Geek Squad at the store. Turns out they do not do printer repairs, so I wasted a good 3 hours trying to setup the meeting with Geek Squad. Very disappointing. A quick call to the Geek Squad at the store and they would have told me we do not work on printers and my mission would have ended in 2 mins.
The employees are so friendly and helpful. I was having trouble with my Garmin watch (which I love) and Jesse resolved my problem in 5 minutes! Great customer service!!
Unfortunately, I have to give this place a one star review. After being a loyal customer for over 10 years I’ve had a terrible experience, I even gave Best Buy the opportunity to fix before posting this review.. However, they have not and have continued to push the blame on everyone else. Long story short, I purchased a brand new washer and dryer for my new home. The delivery people that set up my washer and dryer installed the washer incorrectly and it flooded my laundry room, hallway, loft, bedroom and garage. This happened back on December 31 and as of today it still has not been fixed. The company Best Buy hired to deliver my washer and dryer and connect everything was uninsured. Every time I call to ask questions and to get this resolved I keep getting a different excuse. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, I have written the corporate office and I’ve contacted the store and yet everybody keeps passing the blame. My house was a brand new construction and we haven’t even had the opportunity to enjoy it due to the damage done to the house.

Received a notice of tech support. It stated that the cost was 249.99 and with my discount, I would pay 199.99. The problem is the regular cost is 199.99. Is this just a scam to make me feel like Best Buy takes care of its loyal customers?
HORRIBLE STORE. I purchased a monitor a got home the screen was cracked. I bought it back and they said I damaged the screen myself cause it had dust on it. No physical damage everything still brand new. I was only 3 days within the 15 day return policy. $300 down the drain and corporate said there is nothing they can do about it other than a complaint. Its up to that store to exchange it in which they declined. First time getting robbed liked that.
This is not a review of the store in general, no, this is a review of a single person.Within the computer department resides an individual of vast knowledge and superb customer service skills. His name, is Patrick. When I was in search for a desktop computer but nigh knew what I needed, sir Patrick was able to explain our options in great detail and spent well over an hour helping me and my wife get exactly what we needed. If you are looking for someone to help you purchase your next computer, I highly recommend seeking him out.

I walked into the Merrillville location and went to the customer service desk. I had a general question. The answer is irrelevant - the clerk couldnt hardly bother to lift her eyes from what she was typing and dismissed me all together. It was blatant and very disappointing. As someone in a service field, I am very tolerant of things like staffing issues and delivery delays. But someone collecting a paycheck behind a Customer Service desk should reflect those words.

I needed a 3.5 phone jack to listen to music in my 2010 automobile. Best buy was completely out of this product. Found it a few stores down at the 5 or less store.
We were greeted as we came up to the door by one of the employees. This location does not require mandatory masks, and we were not treated any differently for not wearing one. It was a quick in and out as we came in looking for a blue ray disc player as a gift. We found the perfect one for $54.99, an LG, with blue tooth capability and the ability to stream Netflix and I believe, Hulu. Our cashier was awesome, he clearly explained the warranty options and was friendly and very helpful. All and all the store was well laid out and things were clearly labeled and easy to find. I give this location five stars for cleanliness, organization, and great customer service!

Very poorly customer service. We purchased tech assistance plan. Paid over $200 for a year. Called once to get assistance and were told to come to the store. The representative at the store said they dont do that type of fixing in the store. No apologies for inconvenience or possible options, not even hello when we came in. Very disappointed for the amount they charge and dont deliver. If I could get negative star, I would.

Action Seniors! Do not try to purchase a phone here. We waited 45 minutes to talk to a phone salesman. When It was our turn they only had one chair for us to sit. The salesperson would not move to another station with more room or offer another chair. We also strongly think because we were seniors they had other people jump the line. We made our large electronic purchases here, but no more. Amazon.com will gladly take our 1,300.00 for a new iPhone and accessories.

I am rating my experience 2 stars based on the incredibly poor customer service that not only I received but also that I witnessed in regards to several other customers.I needed help getting an item that was locked away behind a case. It took 15 minutes to A.) Find someone working and B.) Get said person to actually help me.While I was looking for someone to assist me, a lady had been waiting for someone to assist her with a lap top. THREE employees walked through the computer floor AVOIDING EYE CONTACT with both me and the lady who was in need of help.When I finally got helped, I alerted the gentleman to the other woman in need of assistance and he said Okay. and then walked away to another isle and started leaning on the shelves talking to two other co-workers. I went up to the lady and let her know that both Target and Walmart had the computers she was looking at and that they would probably be able to help her faster than the people at Best Buy. So, she and her friend left to try Target.Their only saving grace as far as customer service was that the girl who rang my items up was super sweet and helpful.If you are coming here looking for assistance with anything, Id suggest trying the one in Valpo or looking elsewhere.
The installation center did a great job installing my cd player. Very respectful and urgent. All the employees are courteous and wearing masks.
Nice:) my boyfriend has a credit card here and he wanted to use it to keep his credit score up. He doesnt go here a lot so he was worried about his score but he bought a car mount for his phone and then his pop socket was in the way so it didnt mount his phone . But it is still nice :)

Went here to upgrade my phone. The service was great and they got everything setup quickly. They have a good supply of kitchen appliances and electronics there as well. Im sure Ill be back.

I had asked for an 8K - 16 foot HDMI cord, which JOHN SMITH grabs a cord that costs $400.00 in the TV section, then continues to power sell me on a TV aka monitor, that I didnt even want. My point is, this guy whose name will not be mentioned, tried to trick me and actually did for 2-4 hours. I will be speaking with the store manager and never shopping here again. Go to the Valparaiso store or order from a different company, Best Buy in Merrillville, IN is terrible. Plain and simple.
Usually have good service. But lately you can’t even get a phone call answered. Half hour on hold. Many times. Walk in and people just standing around. Need better phone service.
I went for a pair of sun glasses that vidio take and pictures along with an external hard drive. Everyone was helpful. Needless to say they did not have the sun glasses, they do have external hard drives.
If you want to know about Gaming, Rory is your guy. Just left the store and Rory told us everything we needed to know and what was the best product for gaming. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We were greeted when we arrived and when we left. Love this location.

Waited around for help in the cell.phone area and in the video game area. No help. Even asked people and said they would get someone. No one ever showed. This is why brick and mortar stores go out of business.
With the rush of Christmas we were pleasantly surprised by the great salesmanship. We needed a washer NOW Rubin stepped up got us a good washer at a great price OUT THE DOOR while waiting we also bought a phone. The husband made me leave but I vow to return for a t.v. in the New Year🎉

We came to Best Buy to buy a dryer. I have bought several computers, TVs, surround sound systems and more over the last 15 years. Sales people use to be eager to help you. No one offered to help so I put my Best Buy credit card in my pocket and went to Lowes and bought a dryer.

Wasnt sure how to rate this. Went there twice this week. 1st for a new router. Took about 15 minutes to find someone to help me, but when help arrived he was very knowledgeable and helpful.The second visit was to look at gas ranges with my wife. The sales person was arrogant and condescending to us. I may still buy a new range from Best Buy, but not at this location.

Customer service was horrible! They gave me a damaged item when it was the last one in stock. Did not try to match and price for this item to a closer item in stock, knowing the item was damaged and used when they gave it to me. If you have an issue with an item, they basically want u to solve the problem yourself. The lady at customer service did not care at all about the inconvenience of the customer. Will not be purchasing from this store ever!

Always a great experience here. On this particular visit the customer service agent that assisted me was extremely helpful. Although he wasnt sure if they had my item stock he was very diligent and asked another agent for help rather than blowing me off or giving me the standard shoulder shrug with a blank stare followed by the I dont think we have that particular item in stock. Bravo! The art of customer service isnt dead and it turns out they just received a new shipment. Very pleased with the service.
