Had issues with my 1995 Chevrolet k1500 missing on one cylinder after DIY repair. Called McElroy after seeing their commercials on TV for years. They got me back going FAST! Had it done the day after I dropped it off. Talked to Jeff, he advised an engine replacement would be best route to go due to mileage and current condition of engine if anymore issues came up. Truck ran smooth as glass again when I picked it up. This is definitely where I will have engine swapped. They convey repairs done, they are easy to talk to and don’t leave you hanging. Best shop I’ve ever done business with. Call Them!

I was traveling through Alabama, on my way to North Myrtle Beach from Fort Worth Texas, with a friend and 2 of our kids when my Honda Odyssey broke down.We pulled off the road and new we needed a major repair, this happened at 4:30pm on a Friday evening. I Googled mechanics and found McElroy. From the moment I called and spoke with the owner, Jeff, I knew we were in great hands.He diagnosed the problem over the phone, ordered the part and had it delivered to his shop while Mark drove the tow truck to pick us up.What a blessing it was to have chosen McElroy. They stayed late and made sure the car was in good shape before sending us on our way.Friendly!! Affordable!! And, went ABOVE AND BEYOND what you’d ever expect someone to do on a Friday night. Amazing people to work with. Had my kids car fixed there, and I paid for it from Oregon. They are very quick and thorough. They preordered the parts so when the car was taken in they could do the repairs right away.

We moved to the Meridian area a few years ago and have been lucky enough to not need a mechanic until recently. However, my car wouldnt start and McElroy Auto Center came to the rescue. If I had to choose a few words to describe this business i would say: trustworthiness, fair pricing, and quick personal service.A brief anecdote: My car wouldnt start because of a bad starter motor. I had heard McElroy came highly recommended from several people in my church, and when the tow truck brought the car in I could immediately see why. The receptionist was very kind and Mr. McElroy came out to check the vehicle immediately. He was able to get the motor started through some mechanic magic and diagnose the problem before I had even paid anything. He knew that we needed the car as quickly as possible and so he finished replacing the starter that day so we could have it available before Christmas. Thank you so much.I hope that your car never needs to see the doctor, but when it does, send your business to McElroy Auto Center. You wont be disappointed!

When my favorite repair shop closed on 22nd Avenue I was in the hunt for a new auto repair shop. I needed to get my right passenger headlight fix. A bit pricey, but hands down best mechanic shop Ive been to here. Customer service was outstanding, everything was fixed correctly, and i was informed of everything along the way. 15/10 would recommend

Got a turbo installed here. Said it would take 3 days, took them 7. While doing it they lost an important bolt and then asked me to buy them another instead of buying it themselves. Luckily they found it but losing something and asking someone else to cover your mistake is unprofessional. Finally got the turbo on 1 week before I was set to leave Mississippi. 1 week later as I was leaving Mississippi the exhaust portion coming off of the turbo became disconnected. I was in Alabama already and couldnt turn around and have them do it right, which they should have done it right the first time. I ended up selling the vehicle with the exhaust leak on it and when the buyer took it in to fix it it cost him 700 dollars. So in total, it cost 1,800 to replace the turbo (1100 from what they charged to replace the turbo) since they didnt do it properly. I would not recommend these guys. Extremely disappointing and dissatisfied with their work. Their sloppy work cost an extra 700 dollars. You can decided if thats worth it to you.

Quality work and doesnt add things that were not necessary just to inflate your bill. May not be the cheapest place around Meridian but well worth the peace of mind knowing the repairs were done right.

Jeff and his team are very friendly and always provide quality service at affordable prices. Mcelroy’s Auto is the only place I trust for all my automotive service and repair needs. I own one vehicle here in Meridian and two in Southeast Arkansas. When they require service and repair, they come to Mcelroy’s.

I would never go back here. Work promised to be done on time was late and only halfway done. Not to mention the overpriced shop rate I was charged for what looked like a guy working out of his garage. I tried to resolve issues with them and got treated horrible. Finally after wasting time arguing they finished the job for the original agreed price. I would never take another vehicle to this dump.

Fast service, friendly service

I was referred to this mechanic. My car went in for a transmission make over and my car came out still not fixed and a very noticeable dent on the front of my car, i mentioned to him about this problem and he completely ignored me,i was not alone at the time and someone i know overheard and saw the conversation as well.. i spent almost 1500 dollars at that time. i took it back for a water pump leak and then paid almost 400 more dollars. The question was asked if there was anything else that needed fixing and the answer was, i only fixed what you asked me. Fair enough to me. took my car home and the next day the problem was worse. i started my car to warm it up. came back out and steam was coming from under the hood, white smoke came out of my tail pipe, car sounded worse then a diesel engine,turned off my car and called to have my car towed back. when your car leaks water on your engine, driving it, is not an option. I was told i would need a new radiator? he also said he had done some other work on my car that i had not told him to work on. (remember he only fixes what he is asked too). i told him leave it alone. I was told i had to pay for tow when i picked my car up again after it was fixed this time. after negotiating 50 dollars for tow jeff told me he would leave my car outside so i could pick it up after payment. Later that afternoon this man calls me to say he put my car back on the lift to check it(?) then he tells me its the block or head gasket???? Of course it is, i l know that it is the head,the leak caused the problem.Jeff said i would not need to order a new radiator, that it was my engine now, Obviously he does not know what is going on. he did not feel responsible for any of this from what was said. i ended up paying 50 dollars to get my car out. this kind of business is not what i recommend to my fellow americans. Im a veteran that trusted because you trusted in me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are over priced and not TRUST WORTHY.
