I received wonderful and quick customer service from Krista. I had placed an order and realized Id ordered the wrong parts. Tube Depot had already printed a label and packaged for shipping within ~30 minutes (so fast!), but after I got on the phone with Krista she ran to the back and pulled it out of the shipping bin and processed my refund right away. Really great people there, and I will continue to buy from them in the future.

I’ve been buying my tubes from TubeDepot for 10 years. They always have great prices, fast service and excellent packaging. I have never received anything that was broken or defective. They answer the phone and they reply to emails quickly. I have never had a reason, nor the desire, to shop elsewhere for NOS or current-production tubes.

Just got off the phone with Michelle from Tube Depot. She was very friendly and incredibly helpful. I had already purchased from them previously (online), but this time I needed some information on an out of stock tube. Long story short, Michelle recommended a limited stock tube they had, that was essentially the same tube for less than 1/2 the cost of the out of stock tube. Very happy repeat customer.

Awesome company. I needed new tubes for my old Dynaco amp. The salesperson on the phone spent 15 minutes talking to another tech about questions I had. I bought the least expensive tubes they had but the salesperson said they would be just fine and didnt try to up sell me. Super fast and quality shipping. I would highly recommend Tube Depot. I also bought one of their Tube Cubes a year back and paid $144 with the coupon. That little thing can rock my big Klipsch towers.

I dont care about audiophool stuff or matched tubes, I repair old equipment that just require the tubes to work when I get them, recently I ordered 3 tubes ... one tested weak and one was a complete dud... obviously they do not test the used tubes before shipping ... they offer to take them back via snail mail so they can test them ...while my customer fumes that it is taking to long to get his console stereo back ... 5 bucks lost and lesson learned ... I ordered from another vendor to get a operating tube asap ...

I cant believe these people still use Covid as an excuse for poor service! This is A Complete Joke!!! I ordered a Preamp tube and paid extra for 2-3 days priority mail and it came 6 days later!!! When I contacted customer service, they claimed that I should have seen their Covid information, and had the nerve to tell me to place yet Another overnight order, and once I received the original order I should send it back !!!!!!Covid information?????Then why advertise 2-3 day Priority Mail which I paid extra for? Shouldnt it have arrived in 2-3 days?????????? And, Absolutely no apologies or refunds for their horrible service!!!!! Apparently out of guilt, they finally sent me an email stating they would reimburse me for the extra priority mail charge, and NEVER DID... And what difference would that make?I still couldnt use my amp for the gig!!!!!!!!!NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine was a special edition model and once we figured that out, she located the right tubes. She then suggested a specific type that would sound best in my system. It was an extremely personal and professional customer service experience. The tubes arrived in just a few days and they sound spectacular in my system. Had a bit of a humming/buzzing problem with some GE 6cg7 tubes I bought from them so I called them on the phone about the issue and they went above and beyond for me. They offered to send me a new set of tubes with no extra fee and gave me a free return label to ship the old tubes back whenever I can. Im a newbie when it comes to tubes but already tubedepot has shown themselves to be an excellent store for me to continue doing business with.

The past two times Ive bought items from TubeDepot my items have been wrong. Do NOT rely on the name on the bag, mostly with resistors. Its a shame it happened to me but they made it right. Just takes forever to ship re-sent items.

If your in the industry or just bedroom player this is the place to buy tubes. I am repeat customer and writing my first review for a supplier. There is not another supplier that will accept an order for a full set of AC-30HWX tubes plus an extra 5 preamp tubes on a Late Friday afternoon and you have your order early Monday afternoon!! I have never received a less then perfect tube from them. I have never had an issue finding the brand or the tube I’m looking for. Just a good American company all the way around! The customer service is above expectations. I only wish I could leave a higher then 5 star review!! Keep up the good work! I’ll be back again soon!

Purchased a Matched/Burned-In Set of Four 811A Tubes for an Ameritron AL-811H. Received a defective tube & Michelle sent me a new tube immediately. Original set was Russian Tubes that shipped with the amp new (1999). This is by far the best replacement set ever. With 5 Watts Input Im seeing over a 100 Watts Output. Prior replacement set was purchased from Ukraine and was Russian NOS from late 1980s. Didnt last a week. Tried to buy direct from China through AliExpress. Big hassle, no savings. Buy HERE! TubeDepot is awesome. Shipping prices are extremely reasonable in this day and age of being spoiled by so much free shipping. Shipping is quick. I really appreciate that they are increasing the variety of their inventory on DIY products like caps, allows me to get some Mallory and Cornell-Dublier caps I used to have to get elsewhere.

Advice to tube depot: if your product is going to arrive differently than described, you should put a note of that in the description. If you dont, you should expect that some customers ask questions about it, and when they do you should be helpful and accommodating rather than dismissive and condescending.I ordered almost $400 in tubes. Two of the tubes I ordered, totalling $170, were not as described on the website. The brand i received was a different, generic brand and the country of origin was different than what was sold.I emailed customer support to let them know and they told me that it was just the boxes that were different/generic, that I got the right item and I should give them a try.Note- it wasnt just the boxes that were a different brand- the tubes themselves were printed with a different brand and country of origin. Also, if I give them a try am I going to get a refund if I dont like them?We went back and forth about 8 times of them telling me Im wrong and being condescending. The tubes I was sent are available for $100 for a matched pair from other sellers ($70 less than what tubedepot charged).They offered a return label, but packing, returning and repurchasing isnt worth the time to me.Admittedly Im not a tube expert, but I did have the tubes checked out by my local hifi shop who told me Id received the wrong item.The customer service left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Normally I shop locally but Covid got me to try out this vendor. Not impressed.

Called, ordered, picked up correct order. Everything happened as they said it would. Doesnt sound like much? Well, then youre used to crappy service and have become numb to it. I made a phone call, talked to a human all the way. He told me when I could pick them up. When I arrived, they were expecting me and had the EXACT tubes I ordered. Years ago, that was standard business practice. These days, not so much. Thank you Tubedepot, my experience was refreshing.

I have spent thousands of dollars with Tube Depot and have never had a problem with them that wasnt rectified IMMEDIATELY. They ship super fast with email and tracking information, but most importantly, they individually label and bag all of your parts, which is invaluable to a busy tech. They have some nice how-to videos done by the famous Rob Hull that are helpful for the amateur. With current production tubes, ALWAYS pay for them to be burned in (which is a minimal charge)!

My friend and I ordered about $250 worth of stuff from here. After two weeks had passed, we still had not received our order. My friend called and the manager told him that his order had been flagged as fraud because his billing and shipping address were different (hes working from his family home during the Covid crisis), and because he was Turkish, which he is. My friend was shocked about the Turkish comment and the owner was very rude, especially since they marked the order as fraud even though they had no trouble running my friends credit card. The owner had even done an internet search on my friend to snoop around. Even after marking the order as fraud, they kept our money and did not refund it until we asked. Apparently you might get good service if you have a stereotypical white name, but I would avoid this place otherwise. Heck, Id avoid this place even if I did have a stereotypical white name.

Prices are very good but 3 out 5 pre-amp tubes I bought from them were very poor in performance and were unsuitable for plugging into my amplifier. Buyers are required to pay shipping at their own expense in order to possibly get a refund. Customer service told me the tubes were fine and to put them in my amplifier anyway... Trying the tubes would have cost me additional fees for bringing the amplifier back to the technician in case the tubes wouldnt work properly. My technicians emission tester did give good results with other current production tubes so this is NOT an argument.

I guess the only constructive criticism I can give is, sometimes if you ask an in depth and long Email question, they wont respond. I have never tried to call. 90 percent of emails are answered though!Been a shopper here since 2014, and I dont plan and going anywhere else. The packaging of the product is great, shipping rates reasonable and the website is very responsive.I will say the recent changes to the site has slow down editing the shopping cart a bit.Keep it up Tubedepot!

I do not own a tube tester. Over the years, Im 65, I have collected a box of tubes; condition unknown. I was given a new tube amplifier for Christmas and through trickle down my wife inherited my old media amp, a K2003. The three tubes were all different. The output tubes were Russian and NEC, the driver tube was unmarked. I wanted to do the right thing and update her tubes. I went on the internet for phone numbers and called two places, one did not answer and the other went to voice mail. I tried a third, Tube Depot and was pleasantly surprised to hear Michelle answer. She answered all my questions and asked a few of her own to learn exactly what I was after. She was familiar with the stock and made recommendations. They werent the most expensive pieces either. I was given all the information I needed to make informed choices. I learned things and enjoyed the experience. I was told the tubes would arrive in a week. Well, guess what? They arrived in three days! I did a blind test with my wife. I started a song, paused it, shut down the amp, swapped out the driver tube, and pressed play to continue the same song. MY wifes eyes popped open! She loved it. The music was clearer and very enjoyable. The new output tubes sounded good as well; but not nearly the change with the driver replacement. I ordered a n 811a.tube for my ham amp. I had an old spare but wanted to put in a new one. The made in china tube filament lasted about 5 minutes. The spare is in there working for many hours now .money wasted Bill Cook

I just thought I should share my experience with tube depot customer service for all to see. I purchased a set of EL34s and a pair of 12AU7s from them. One of the EL34s had a short between pin 2 (heaters) and 3 (HT) This sent 500VDC over my heaters and blew out the heaters on several other tubes. (I dont have a tube tester, but it is possible it ruined all of them). I tried getting a replacement or refund only on the tubes I bought from them, (and my amp had two other el34s as well as 2 12AX7s). They refused. They told me that sending 500V down the heater line cant harm the tubes. (It blew up multiple resistors, so no it couldnt do any harm right?). I tried explaining this to the person on the phone and they kept being more rude and eventually just hung up on me. They now wont answer the phone. Make sure youre aware of this before you send your business their way. I for one will never do so again.

The one time I had an issue with new product (not NOS), they honored their warranty and responded quickly with no muss or fuss. One time I had to make an order over phone due to a payment issue on my end, and Joe bent over backward to make it happen despite the PITA I presented him.TubeDepot has done right be me over and over again, and I always look forward to my next order with them.
