Ive been shopping here for 20 years and they are always AWESOME! They have a great selection of all kinds of products, and I especially love their craft section for kids. Its a really great place to buy gifts for the creative kids (or grown ups) in your life! The staff is always friendly & ready to help AND they give a discount to students and teacher. Great experience with the Art Centers Frame Shop! Ryan and Bill guided me through the whole process of turning my work (18 photos with accompanying text) into great-looking matted / framed pieces. They definitely went above and beyond. I am thrilled with both the final product and the price (yes, they gave me a very good deal)!

Great supplies and prices. However when i inquired whether or not they were hiring was faced with a very condescending attitude and a cold non responsive conversation. I understand only hiring and students and professionals however, treating those without said experience as if they are wasting time for inquiring is not a good look. Been hesitant to go back as i dont feel welcome anymore.

The Art Center is one of my favorite places in Memphis, I love it and no matter what area of art that you participate in/ you can always find the tools at the Arts Center,The sales help their, are incredible theyre always there to help you, and to wrap your packages up before you leave.It is the only store in Memphis that is actually a real art store.And whatever the tool you need you can always find it at the Arts Center especially if its things Thats pertaining to art.The art Center is the only real art store in Memphis, and if you havent discovered it you must not be an artist.

I came here for the first time not that long ago to get a couple of book binding supplies. Great selection of items at competitive prices. A lot of what they offer are things you cant find in a big box hobby store either. Im excited to come back soon!

If you need anything art related, they probably have it. They had a larger selection of pens, markers and paint supplies than Amazon. I ended up purchasing items I couldnt find anywhere else and their staff is amazing and knowledgeable.

Always happy after a trip to Art Center. Nearly always less expensive than the chain stores and experienced local staff. Excited to play with my new alcohol inks.

I love this place. This is a real Art Store. No matter what type of artist you are, if they dont have it, they can order it. Drawing instruments, watercolor paper, pencils & brushes, acrylics, chalk, oils, fabric dyes and desks. With a Framing shop, too. They have instructional books, as well. Plus, a helpful & knowledgeable staff.

Ok...this is not a corporate big wig...but this store ROCKS!!! Its a great place to get good drawing pads and their brush selection is great and decently priced. Their paints are good also!!

Love this place. Grew up going there with my artist father, and now that I’m an artist myself, it’s my go to place. They have everything you need, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recently I had a canvas building question and was able to speak with Jimmy who provided me with the solution! Real value and experience that the big box stores can’t give you.

Always has what I need and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Wish the hours were later, but I can manage to get there by closing most days.

I always go there to buy art supplies! The workers are super helpful, they have student discounts and sales all the time, and they have all different kinds of craft supplies as well. Definitely would reccomend to anyone looking for a smaller store to buy from.

Great place. I pray it is here forever. In the 90s i remember there being at least 3 small art supply businesses in memphis. There was a second Art Center on Park, and there was Sherris on Highland. Now i think only the Art Center on Union remains. Go here before you run off to Michaels, Hobby Lobby or....Amazon (bites knuckles)! Genuinely friendly people, very helpful and just a pleasant place to walk into.

They have it all from bulletin board trim, contruction paper & glitter to fancy paper, silk dye, oil paints and canvas on a roll. Huge selection of sketchbooks and portfolios, beautiful choices of pencils and markers, general drafting supplies. Friendly, cool knowledgeable staff. Best art supply in three states.

This place has it all for the serious artists. I only went there to get some foam board after looking at a few other places. They definitely had the biggest selection and the best prices. The associates were very helpful. The store was clean and organized.

I have been a regular here for the past 4 years, and I drive 20 minutes to get my art supplies...because these people who know their stuff!Im an architecture student, and they always have what I need, and, if not, they will help in every way they possibly can. Whether its basswood, gouache, or foam core, they ALWAYS go above and beyond to help ensure I have what I need.Also, their prices are very modest, less than Michaels and Hobby Lobbys prices FOR SURE. They also give student discounts, which is very much appreciated. I have so much love for this establish and their staff. Check them out!
