I give it a 2 because it was an extremely painful rental process! I will admittedly tell you, I was an just under an hour late to pickup my rental, so I own that, however, it seemed to be, perfect timing as a young employee actually said that, told me the truck (pickup) I reserved had just actually been returned to the store and was still being checked in! I had to wait for the guy putting gas in the truck to return, which turned out to be the manager, Tony.So my rental pickup time was supposed to be 8am but I arrived at 8:57-ish am, I still had to wait for the manager to return and he still had to check-in the truck before renting it back out to me. Well,... I got outta there around 11am! Yes,11am!After the waiting for the truck to come back from gassing (remember I was already about an hour late to pickup the truck) then waiting for the check-in process and finally being able to obtain the truck, it was approx. 11am!Funny, I even received a call from the older gentleman working, I think named, Mike, while I was outside still waiting for the truck to be checked in, he calls and leaves a message telling me that the truck is ready (it wasnt at that time!) and that Im late picking up the truck and that theyd have to rent it out to anyone else if I didnt come get it soon but I was already there just waiting outside!I also want to speak about my take on what you may have read in regards to this particular location with respect to some of the critical reviews.From my experience with U-Haul, most their locations are slow. They seem to always be under staffed! Aside from a manager, their staff also seems to be under-trained regarding their computer system and the system appears to be a P.I.T.A because they have computer system issues too often! So, I think that by fixing those things first then better things will follow.As for customer service, I will start by saying that other than the extremely long wait, my face to face interaction was actually pretty cordial albeit I didnt say much in the vein of complaining. I did hear a couple people, that came after me, voicing frustration with the wait which involved me indirectly as I too was waiting on their computer system to work correctly.Comments in reference to customer service may not be necessarily off base.The little interaction I with witnessed between customers and Tony convinced me that he could come off a tad bit apprehensive. He wasnt with me but with a couple other people, the tone was a little tense. Maybe because they were already behind, under staffed and the Gremlins (its what I call computer issues!) were attacking the computer system, I dont know but there was some tension!Another issue I had. I had to move my car from the front parking lot, which is very small, to a spot in the back where they have a few more spaces although limited there too. I parked between the managers vehicle, I think it was an Explorer and one of the employees vehicle, a small red Mitsubishi, Toyota or something like that. I keep an very clean car inside and out and my car was very freshly clean when I left it there that afternoon but when I returned the truck (around 9pm-ish) my car was covered in ???!I was between employee cars so I wondered what happened to my car in that time-frame for it to be the way it was when I picked it up!?!? To be honest, regardless of the ratings I see. Ive always had the best uhaul experience here. This past time I rented a trailer, didnt have the adaptor for the lights and the owner went out of his way to find one I could use. This is my go to place for Truck / Trailer rental needs.
I have always used U-Haul for my storage/moving needs. This store in particular handled things in a bad way. I wish I would have chosen a different one, now I probably will never use U-Haul again... I needed to rent a truck and the size I needed wasnt available so I paid the extra money for the bigger one, which was fine. One of the employees yelled in an abrasive way to park our car somewhere else, which is fine... When we returned the truck after moving things all day, I always make it a point to leave things in a good clean condition. We didnt eat in the truck or anything. What happened is we accidentally left two plastic bins in the back (empty) that we forgot to throw away. I got charged extra for a cleaning fee... We called to see if we could come get the bins and explained we forgot, to get the fee lessened or taken off and they said no. I feel it is poor customer service, because now what should have been maybe $50 at most cost me over $100. I guess if anyone takes anything from this review it Is choose a different U-Haul store or make sure not to leave anything behind! Youll pay for it.
I had a trailer hitch installed here and also rented a trailer. The general manager, Tony, was incredibly helpful -- he personally found a hitch for my car and made an appointment short-notice to install it. I did spend some time on hold, but ultimately they were able to arrange everything for me. The rest of the team was helpful when it came to trailer instructions. I would 100% recommend going to this location.
AWFUL experience at this location. I made my reservation online weeks ago, and had the choice to do everything on my phone, or be checked in at the location. I chose to be checked in at the location and reserved my pick up for the earliest possible time: 7 A.M. We arrived around 7:05, and the store was locked. We eventually knocked when we didnt see anyone outside. I told the man who finally answered the door that I had scheduled a 7 A.M. pick up. He snapped: I dont do anything at 7 A.M. I dont rent out trucks at that time. That was confusing, considering that pickup time was an option online, which I told him. He refused to do anything to help us and told me I needed to go through the process on my phone, though he had looked up and confirmed my reservation on the computer. He repeatedly told me that my truck would have been ready if Id just done everything on my phone. After about the 3rd time he said this, I told him that I had selected the option to be checked in at the store, the same way Ive done the last 2 times I booked a U-Haul truck. He then told us to go around the back of the store to find our truck ourselves, which was blocked by a trailer that he seemed even more annoyed to have to move. He then told the man I was with, not me, that I should have taken care of all of this on my phone. I asked him to move the trailer so we could leave, as, by that time, we had been standing around while he did nothing to help us, and it was now 7:45. I have never received such poor treatment at any U-Haul location. Never. The man working the morning shift on Thursday, April 1st was rude, visibly annoyed by our presence, and didnt appear to understand that his own companys online reservation system allows customers to choose in person check in at the local U-Haul location. When I came back later that afternoon to return the truck, I waited in line and watched people being checked out the way that I had expected to happen to me that morning. No one was forced to check out on their phone and then go hunting for their truck around back of the building while the U-Haul employee berated them and refused to help them. I will never use this location again and will warn friends to go elsewhere.

Fantastic service for propane refill. Parked by the tank, rang the bell, guy appeared immediately filled up two tanks, paid and left, all in 5 minutes! Couldnt ask for better experience. I would add we left the Rockledge location earlier in the day because the stressed out guy there forecast a two hour wait and appeared to be the only person on site.
My storage unit rental and experience was fine while I was a paying customer. I always paid on time (Auto Pay) and never had any issues or reason to contact the office. Move out day: I swept out my unit, took my lock with me, went into the office to turn the unit back in and talked to Mikey. I didnt have a balance as I was always up to date so he printed my move out receipt and I thought I was done & everything is good (Im like the perfect tenant)... ohhh no, dont assume you will be done after like I did. I have received many calls from Mikey after my move out. A few days after I moved out I got a call from him angrily exclaiming that I left the lock on my unit and he couldnt rent it out to someone else. Hmm that seemed odd to me but I couldnt find my lock as I literally just moved and my belongings were in mostly boxes. I drove over there (30 Minutes each way out of the goodness of my heart) to find out there indeed is lock on my old unit. It was not my lock, my key didnt work and I ended up finding my lock at my house a few days later as I expected. Im guessing either they rented it out to someone else and didnt keep record or someone is squatting. Neither of those issues are mine to take care of, prove to them, or investigate for them. Mikey wasnt done there after that huge mess up. He keeps calling and harassing me. I dont want to assume and be wrong again, but I have a feeling the office folk are bad at maintaining records. They have 0 reason to contact me. I have formally requested they stop contacting me as it is that bad.
Ive been to this location several times over the years and generally have been very unimpressed with their customer service and efficiency.This is the fourth time Ive rented the 6x12 trailer over the past two years.Today was assisted by Austin who did an OUTSTANDING job. He definitely knew his stuff on both the paperwork end and connecting the trailer. I hope his employer sees this review and gives Austin the appreciation he deserves. Hes a real credit to this location.
What a nightmare this place was. And the store personnel was even ruder. Then one of the refunds was not credited at first. When I called the 800 number, they noticed it was a manual return and was not pushed through to authorization. They said they would contact the store and have them do it. Well all of a sudden I got a call from a screaming man about this refund and how dare I ask for it and on and on. I have never been berated before like that and never again will I use this location. Stay away.
Good service, when you can get service. They are exceptionally slow to do anything, even when they aren’t packed, especially propane.
I went to this location thinking this was where I made my reservation to get a hitch installed. The General Manager Tony, assisted me and it turns out that I was at the wrong location, but since he could see the information from the other store, he saw that they did not have the hitch. He then called that store manager to verify that they did not have the hitch. He then called several other stores and found the hitch needed for my car and a store in Rockledge. He then made arrangements to have the hitch picked up and brought to his store so that they could get it installed for me the same day. Tony was very nice and extremely helpful.
One of the best u haul locations I have been to. The team is very helpful and friendly. Tony is amazing! He makes sure things get done. Our u-box was late by a couple days and they worked so hard to make sure we could get it as soon as possible. Very pleased and impressed with the team here at u haul.
Usually have great service, albeit slow, when getting a propane tank refilled. After waiting over 10 mins in line (next to the window decal that says propane filled 7 days), I was told they dont fill them on Sundays since they are short handed. You know, Covid. Remove the sign until you are properly staffed.
Consumers are trying hard to support local businesses during this time...business owners should make sure their employees understand that more than ever, customer service matters. Their parking lot is completely full of trucks needing to be rented...so i would think to have a customer walk in about to lay down hundreds of dollars matters right now. Not for the young girl and guy behind the counter tonight. I entered and greeted them. One of them looked up...no response and eyes back down glued to her phone like her co-worker.I gave them a moment to acknowledge me and then left. I can buy boxes from Amazon. I can rent a truck from a variety of places. A simple hi and how can we help you would have probably put one of their weekly salaries back in that business owners pocket.Economy issues or not...you dont get my business unless you make me matter.
Believe the low star ratings. I wish I had! The manager lies, the wait times are ridiculous and the equipment is pieced together with duct tape. I have since found the much cleaner and friendly UHaul location on Apollo. The truck they last rented me was brand new and so comfortable! Ill never go back to the Rt 1 location again.
Picked up a 5x8 trailer for a one-day local rental. The trailer was clean and the return was very quick.

Customer service is AWFUL and the store manager is very childish and plays games with his customers they tell you your rental will be one price and it ends up being another they opt you into insurance coverage that you said no to and when all is said and done they tell you should have read the contract and had them correct earlier....stay far away General manager is a HUGE SCUM BAG!!!

Needed to get a trailer for a big move today, and after reading many reviews expected it would be a pain! That was not the case at all. We arrived at 9AM and were driving away at 9:20! Daphne is the BEST!!!! I can’t thank her enough for her kindness & efficiency - not to mention getting us an incredible deal! Moves are stressful, but our experience was honestly a delight from beginning to end. Thank you!!!
Waited over 45 minutes to have a propane tank filled to an employee come out and say they cant fill it.. To advertise a service but not be able to do it.. awful! Do not recommend this store.
I left my Sun pass in one of the rental trucks and I came back the next day to get it back and one of the employees had stole it.I dont recommend this place.
The longest waiting time. Absolutely no acknowledgement for the long wait time. No help from other staff. Would not reccomend being in a hurry for these guys. Wet paint might dry faster.
Rental Wasted an Hour of My Time! And NO REPLY at all from them!First the U-Haul online system was down yesterday. And this location said they had no way to rent without that system; no backup! After it finally recovered I spent 15 minutes online entering everything from my birthday to my credit card in addition to all the rental details with the promise that it would speed my rental. That was false as I waited over half an hour for someone to help at the rental counter; they just walked away outside and left me standing there. When another guy in a U-Haul shirt walked in I asked if he could help and all he said was no, that he wasnt clocked in yet and didnt even offer to get help for me. I finally got help by going outside and finding someone. Then, despite having entered everything online, the rental process took another 15 minutes as the online system restarted 3 times after I swiped my credit card (yes, the card Id already entered online an hour earlier). And very bizarre, they phoned my wife to verify who I was thereby wasting her time as well; absolutely no respect for customer time; terrible customer service.The pickup truck was ok, but but their terrible rental process wasted an hour of my time. I asked for a refund on the 4 hour local rental and got NO REPLY; LOUSY ATTITUDE AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Absolutely horrible. No one at the desk for over 45 minutes, other than 10-12 customers. Had to call the store in Palm Bay to get someone to come and wait on us. A joke of a business- they treat you like sh*t because they know you’re moving and won’t be using them again anyway.
Clueless. Made on-line reservation for hitch install... used option to indicating Id be waiting... used scheduler option to choose 9AM.Get there and a couple - via the conversation - has rented repeatedly. Total confusion via the app used and the information the manager was using. I mean a lot of confusion and nothing seemed to be tied-in between what she believed to have entered and the resulting contract.Ten minutes waiting, i realized id left my cell phone in the vehicle. He asked what I was waiting for... told him... he asked if id be dropping vehicle off and said no.Another 10 minutes goes by with the couple have difficulties... he then says his guy called in about being late... Id have a 5~6 hour wait.Told him to just cancel the order and left mad: A) as a minimum could have a sign-up that hitch installations are being delayed, B) could have called, C) the app could have texted me there was a problem.How much do you want to bet Ill have to go through my credit card company to get the charges removed?
I cant remember what the owners name was that helped me, but he was very polite and pleasant to deal with. I reserved online and the pick up and drop off process was quick and easy. Very satisfied with the experience.
I highly recommend AVOIDING the LOCATION 438 N. HARBOR CITY BLVD. (781059). This location had absolutely no problems with me going inside of the building to rent the equipment, sign the contract, pay for addtl. insurance & the rental fee. As a matter of fact, the first rep. made it a very pleasant transaction. However, to return the equipment, they obviously DO NOT WANT YOU INSIDE OF THEIR STORE TO RETURN A TRAILER. I arrived to the store 2/28/2020 to return the trailer. Waited in a long line, almost out of the door, for about 25 to 30 minutes; even after watching several people leave due to the unnecessary long wait. I get to the counter, inform the agent I have already backed the trailer into a spot accessible for the next customer (exactly where I hooked up to it), rolled out the jack & disconnected the chains & wires (basically I did their job). The guy tells me that he & the other rep. at the counter are busy, go outside & ask someone named Mike where to leave it. I tell the guy again, Ive already done the job for them & just need him to verify condition & location. He blatantly refuses and tells me to use my phone and their app or go outside to the next line. To my amazement, hes wearing a name tag that reads Tony McCart, Owner. I tell the guy Ive already waited half an hour inside, in line, and now you are telling me to go outside in the cold and wait in another long line with 1 person attempting to check in a line of trucks and trailers that stretched out to the highway. While he and another employee stand at the counter arguing about what time the employee was suppose to arrive at work and whether or not they can accept doughnuts. Basically twiddling their thumbs. Are you kidding me. WITH NO ONE ELSE BEHIND ME INSIDE. In utter shock & disbelief, I call the Go-u-haul no. for help and to lodge my complaint. The agent places me on hold, tells me that she called the store and they were super busy with returns. She then tells me the only thing I can do is to write a bad review about the store, she did not know what else she could do for my problem. Really!!! How busy could they possibly be with no other customers in the store & no one else in the line outside after me? I, along with many other family and friends in the community have been renting trailers, trucks and other items from this location for both personal and special events for a very long time. Never have I encounter such a disrespectful, distasteful, careless & utter neglectful service. This was by far the poorest & worse display of customer service and care by a so-called Manager/ Owner that I have ever experienced. Absolutely egregious! I never write reviews, but given the circumstances and behavior, I felt compelled and obligated to share my experience. I would advise and encourage anyone to avoid this location. In my opinion, there are no excuses for this type of service and behavior. I would urge anyone to visit any other location except this one. I will happily take my business elsewhere!! I hope corporate takes a hard look at this location and the countless concerns voiced by its customers. When you are in business, you do not get the chance to pick and choose with whom and when, you will provide stellar service too.
Just want to say a few things about this u-haul. Tony was the guy that helped me, he apologised for how busy they were, walked me through everything and even explained how to make it faster next time. He went above and beyond to help me!!
When I was getting ready to move, I called the store directly to get some basic information. The employee I spoke to was very helpful and answered all of my questions.About 1 week before I moved, I went to the website and reserved a 17 ft. truck. I putin the date and time I needed the truck, and received my confirmation info.The evening before moving, I went to the store to pick the truck up, and my experience was different.The employee I spoke to inside the store was not very helpful at all. I gave him my confirmation info, and he informed me there were no 17 ft. trucks available, even though I specifically reserved exactly that. He asked me if a 14 ft. truck would be alright, and since I arranged for several friends to help me move, I didnt really have a choice in the matter. Any truck was better than no truck at that rate.I would have given a 2 star rating for the store, but I gave 3, b/c the same employee was at least a little more helpful when I returned the truck. Instead of charging me the full amount for mileage ($/mile), I received a slight discount.

Went on a Wednesday and it wasn’t busy. Needed a 10 foot truck to move some furniture and checking in was fast. Returning the truck was easy, just had to pay extra for gas.
Im being generous with this rating because of the scheduling conflicts (2) and the long line issues that others have mentioned here. Not sure if they are under-staffed here or need work on efficiency. Either way, if you have time to wait a bit, I would say it is worth it.I needed a 2 trailer hitch and light wiring job done on my new 2017 Honda CR-V. After the install date had to be moved a couple of times, the installer came in on Sunday and performed the work for me because I was in a bind and had to leave town asap. The work was done properly and relatively quickly. It looks great and works great. Again, if you have time to deal with the delay(s), odds are, youll get your hitch installed to your satisfaction.
The employees here are nice and helpful. Although they can get pretty busy and have longer wait times, they do what they can to provide service in an ALMOST timely manner. HOWEVER, if youre not ok with going back to your storage unit a week later and finding roaches the size of your thumb crawling and jumping around, this place is not for you. Also they claim the storage units to be climate controlled / air conditioned but I dont think thats totally accurate. Specifically due to the giant roach problem, I will be removing my items and finding a better option asap.
When you go here, you get the typical U-haul treatment, which is terrible! I had an appointment to get a hitch installed that was made a week before the appointment date, but when I showed up, I was told that they didnt have the hitch, so I had to reschedule for another date. unfortunately, I wasnt able to make that appointment, so I had to reschedule again. When I rescheduled again, the appointment was for Noon, but apparently, they only take appointments at 8 am and it was the call centers fault. Finally, after another reschedule, I was able to get the hitch on after I was told they needed another $30 because they forgot they needed to install a bracket to hold the wiring. At least the hitch was installed right and came with a lifetime warranty, but I would suggest going somewhere else if you can. Oh, and the employees are barely ever in the office, so have fun waiting for them to grace your presence when they decided to walk in the door.
Owner of this establishment was vary rurde about the id verification witch is ridiculous. They want to call someone you and check you are who you say your are, which I understand but there system seems like a scam so people dont want to answer the number

Not all of location are the best in service but this location is the worst ever seen. Seems morning time is relaxing time for them. Very slow and unprofessional. You will be treated as annoying person and not like a customer. Worst location ever. Find different location if you want better service.
When I arrived, their system was down. I was forced to pay by check or cash. I decided to write a check instead of getting cash because the line was out the door nearly 7 out... and ONLY ONE employee.It has been a week and I have yet to be refunded!!!!! Due to the circumstance, the ONE EMPLOYEE was fine but UHAUL itself as a corporate and how they handle their refund policies are awful!! I would have wrote two checks.. the amount for the deposit and the cost to rent but that was not allowed!!What can you do to improve for the next customer.. refund their money sooner.
I arrived at 8:45 on a Saturday. There were 6 people ahead of me . I had my confirmation number . After 1 hour I got my turn. They said they did not want my confirmation number . I needed the truck for one day. There computet kept coming up with 2 days. I was returning where I picked up They said it was a one way rental. Forr the next 30 minutes they tried to fix the computers errors. After 5 tries I gave up and went to Penske. 90 minutes and no truck. There computer screens and programs are dead dog slow. I supervise programmers I know code they have junk code.
So I live in another state and I came to clear out my locker but to my surprise someone tried to get into my locker. All the guy at the front desk said that’s not possible no one tried to get into your locker here. So I had to pay a locksmith $98 to get the lock off. The locksmith said that if who ever was trying to get off did manager to get the lock off and back on and sure enough most of my stuff was gone except my clothes.. Thanks U-Haul for your “Max security”
Received service that went above and beyond what was required; employees helped me load up, and even drove to a neighboring u-haul location to attempt to find an item that wasnt at their location.

After waiting more than 2 hours before they tell me itll be another 2 hours to finishing installing a hitch, that I had appointment for.... I reschedule..arrive 10 min early.... And the employees cant even start work 20 min after a scheduled appointment.... If they hadnt been the cheapest place around to get it done... And I HAD to have it that day, I would have left.... I debated paying more and waiting none the less....horrible customer service.....
Howard was perhaps the most unpleasant person Ive dealt with in a very long time. He made it seem like setting up a rental was a great favor he was doing for me, any question I had was met with a sigh and a look of did you really ask that and do I have to answer it?We had to spend 10 minutes going through the vehicle for the EXACT load rating of my trailer hitch because the load rating stamped on the hitch may not be right. This is despite the fact I was towing one of their smallest trailers with a factory installed hitch on a large truck. Needless to say, when we found it, the load rating as stated in the manual exceeded the trailers maximum loaded weight by several thousand pounds. Ive never had to go through that before with numerous other uhaul trailer rentals Ive done.Once the trailer was hooked up, he pulled out his phone and started snapping photos of my vehicle and license plate. When asked why he was doing that, he answered none of your business. When pressed further, he claimed it was standard practice for all uhaul places.Terrible experience. I will go out of my way to never rent from this location again and will likely take any future business of mine to either United Rentals or Home Depot.
When I got there for the scheduled appointment for a hitch install at the time I was told, they said I missed my appointment and there was nothing they could do(said it was my fault). The women clearly told me she could not get me until later because they were heavy booked all day(I would of loved a early appointment). Low and behold, I was put in the computer for early afternoon and was never called. The lady also told me it would take 45 minutes, and the tech said 2 hours. Very disappointed and bad customer service.
Pros->the air conditioning in the van worked greatCons- nearly everything else.>Pulling in is strange and the place was packed with trailers so we had a couple spots open despite only a few other cars being there.>Going inside is chaos, everyones just walking around and the people behind us just left while the one person we were waiting for eventually finished.>When we got to the counter we were told we had to give a backup number. We had called to set this up and they didnt mention that. The dude actually goes yeah we dont mention that on purpose. This was the moment reality started to collapse. We wait 15 minutes trying to contact people that didnt expect us and are at work. At 15 minutes in, the guy asks for my number. Im confused, I thought I wouldnt be able to give my number since Im traveling with the van we were both renting. Nope. Totally could the whole time and the dude just didnt mention it for 15 minutes.-we get our stuff and go to verify the damage on our van and their pictures online to make sure we wont cause any already established damages. We give the van a once over, not a twice over, a once over. The image quality of the van on the phone is too low to see if a certain scratch was there or not. We verify that its in the state its in. Despite not even giving it an overly detailed check, we are timed out of the verification. You have about 5 minutes to verify your vehicle for damage. That is insane considering the size of it and the amount of damage already on it.-we go in to get it restarted and its like they all disappeared. No one anywhere. Ten minutes later, he comes back and resends the link to a new verification.-we get in, and the seat and pedals are placed so awkwardly I cannot imagine anyone over 63 driving it.-this is great. We go to park our car car in the rental checkout space. The place that has a billion vans and trailers has about 8 spaces for cars. We wouldnt have been able to park in the correct space unless someone wasnt just leaving. Nearly every other space? Oh well theres more vans and trailers ofcourse.-we go to leave in the van but the place is so crowded with vans that one guy gets lodged and were stuck for a few minutes as he tries to leave.-we head back to the place after using the van. We need to refill the gas. The pamphlet has this nice breakdown of how to refill it. Then you look at the actual gauge and the indication of the amount of gas is like reading an alien display, it is pointlessly archaic. Its like a little symbol of a cart. Thats the only indication of the amount of gas, this bizarre, oblong shape, thats so big that we have no idea how far down on gas we are or not.-As the fabric of the world begins to decay, we finally park back at the place. We just park where we found it because thats sensible. I get out, and someone across the lot tells me to move it somewhere. Why not just have a sign that says that? Because this was determined to be the worst experience possible.-we pull up. Lady comes over. People skills: absent. She tells us the price. Funnily enough, the price breakdown changed between buying and paying and now were being charged more than we expected.We were able to leave. That was nice. That actually worked.
Worst U-Haul experience ever! Short staffed, long wait times, rude staff (when you see one). Plenty of other U-Haul rental places around. Dont go here and dont let U-Haul force you to go here.

Manager Tony very very very unprofessional, rude with childish manner. When I asked him an advice, his answer made me look foolish in front of other customers. Very disappointing.Avoid this location at any cost. Go few miles further if you want to get good service and treated as customer.
Worst customer service treatment l’ve erver experienced. Owner insisted I load car on dolly off his property in and alley out back without helping. The owner Insulted me saying “you shouldn’t be driving an RV if you can’t back it up” as he wAnted me to make an oblique narrow back around rather than his bringing out the dolly to us and the RV in the lot. ( in past years at this same site the service and care was great,) but now in a word . NASTY.! As a retired business owner, it troubles me to write this, but someone needs to know and send this owner to customer service training 101.-if anyone at UHaul cares, that is.
Very very very SLOW SERVICE. The two employees on site were extremely overwhelmed. Go someplace else unless you have plenty of time to stand in line and wait with other annoyed customers.
Had to move suddenly due to the recent hurricane and went by the day off to rent a truck.Andrew was our attendant and really helped us out. Great guy too bad he couldnt help us move! Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The worse customer service I’ve ever run into. Went in to get a car hauler and right off there AC is broke and got only one person running the inside checkout. Once I get my paperwork and go outside to get loaded up I meet Howard and he is the most rude and inconsiderate person ever, and to be honest should not have a job because he was super unprofessional, took forever to hook up to my truck and then made me turn off my truck because he said it was too loud and it’s not loud at all. If at all cost go somewhere else this place is a dump with unprofessional people and probably the worse parking lot layout, pain in the but to get in and out of. Never doing business with this place again.
Great service all around, newer clean trucks and dollies, and they no of low priced boxes and packing supplies.
This was such a horrible experience. Throughout the process my husband and I asked numerous questions about the charges. We were told we would be reimbursed for the charges after dropping off the truck. I asked to look at the contract. The guy working there said he just threw it in the truck but, we already went over everything. We dropped the truck off after hours and desputed the charges. It stated we would be called in 24-48 hours. We never received a phone call. They went ahead and took the money out today the account. We called customer service a week later. They had the manger called us. He was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I will never go to that U-Haul store again and I will make sure to let my friends and family know as well. If you like false promises and rude management this is the place for you!
I called simply to make an appt for a hitch installation. I have two friends who both had their hitches installed here. The first time I was hung up on. Both times each person said give me a couple of minutes and put me on hold. The second time I was on hold for 15 minutes and I got to their sales and service recording over and over while I waited. If service is this bad just to make an appointment, Ill find someone else.You cant run a good business by treating your customers like this. If you are busy, say so and get back to me, but dont leave me wasting minutes on my phone, getting nothing done.
The poorest run establishment I have ever encountered. The manager Tony Mcart is terrible as well as the entire new staff the old staff has expressed there concerns to me several times and clearly are no longer there. I had an employee tell me I screwed up by using there online service I get charged for every mistake they make. the list is endless due to how often I rent from them. I assure you I will never step foot in this location again, and I advise the same to anyone.to be honest the entire Uhaul company is terrible, no customer service whatsoever, very disappointed for the last timeupdate a week later I had the manager of this location admit on a recorded line that I was in the right and he was in the wrong. Still no correction to my bill, still no call,text or email from anybody in the corporate office, this companies customer service techniques is to blame the customer and accept no responsibility whatsoever.I have never seen such an unprofessional establishment. highly disappointed.
Took over an hour to pick up a reserved trailer. No one else was there when I arrived. Apparently the POS system was down and neither the owner helping us or the tech on the phone had a clue. No compensation, no apology. After many years of using this location I won’t be back.

Unbelievable BAD customer service. Two employees on a Saturday morning, with a line of 20 people out the door. Go somewhere else, unless you have 2 hours to wait in line like you’re at a theme park.
Customer service would not even acknowledge my questions about trailer hitch installation for my vehicle. She just continued to up-sell me. Im not sure I was talking to a caring empathetic person. She may have been an android from planet U. So weird.
We had to wait in line for 45 minutes to rent our van while people without a reservation got served by one person. the manager was no where to be found. when we got up to the register - (we were told that while they still had van on site) - we would not be given one. They said that 15 minutes after the pick up time - they could give you whatever they wanted. And we had to pay a higher rate for mileage. this took another 15 minutes. Later when I called the store the manager (tony Mccart) told me we were late and that was it...very rude and smug. I asked for a adjustment to the 69.00 per mile charge but he refused and when I got upset that I was pronouncing his name wrong he hung up on me. I asked where that policy on changing the type of van was in writing - he said he did not know. I called the 800 number and they have no such policy. When I called back he laugh at us and refused to save us a a customer. since there are 25 dealer in melbourne to get these trucks from - I will never be going back there again. poor service, poor customer service skills and a manager / owner that simply could care less about the customer......... my advice to save time and aggravation ---go elsewhere.
If it wasnt for the manager Id of never gotten my boxes. I stopped by to purchase boxes. It was the third time I had stopped that week. Each time I stopped in, there was a long line of people. I live 1/2 mile away so it wasnt that big a deal. I could stop by another day. I didnt want to stand in line for a half hour or more, just to buy boxes. As I was leaving again, the manager ask if he could help me. I told him my story about how this was my third try to buy boxes. He helped me on the spot. He took my order and checked me out. I wanted to say Thanks again! P.S. You need more help at your store, your loosing money with people like me leaving frustrated.
Very poor service. Rude and unapologetic manager when the parts I ordered had not arrived. I recommend avoiding this location whenever possible.
Manager of the store was extremely rude, unprofessional, was talking in the back of the store with some 17 year old kid. They were laughing and making jokes while myself and other customers had been there for over an hour and a half. Already had reservations, all I had to do was sign a paper and be on my way. Returning the trailer was just as painful. Never coming back again.
Howard took care of our rental at a time in need. We rent several trucks on regular basis. Thanks!

Super long hold for phone calls, Places gets slammed get there early, they usually only have 2 guys working the counter.
About what you would expect from any U-Haul rental place. Arrive right when they open if youre renting a truck or you will have to wait in line.
I see many reviews of bad and/or extremely slow service. We turned in two 26 trucks and two car haulers and each one took about 5 minutes to process. Perhaps theyve fixed their service issues?

We called to buy a trailer hitch and they took our credit card info. We then went in and waited 2 hours in line for them just to tell us that they dont install hitches on Sunday. We will never do business there again. They are incompetent and cant be trusted.
I had trouble returning a hitch I bought there.
Expect to wait forever once you arrive. Never enough staff on hand. Poorly managed.
