I needed my windows tinted but didn’t have time to drop my car off. Omar came to my office downtown and tinted my windows while I was inside. The service was great, and so are the results! Highly recommended.

It was one of the more interesting places that I have shopped. They have a unique selection of lighting from floor lamps to pendants, chandeliers. I had made a unique purchase of a pendant light for over my sink something that you would not see and every household. I would highly recommend that you go and look around in that store and the owner is very very helpful and nice

This is a really nice store with quite a varied inventory - lots of different styles of lamps. The owner is delightful.

Owner helped me. I showed her photos of lamps and shades I wanted to buy today. She said her shades were expensive--somehow implying I could not afford them. I made no comments about my budget. Rather than show me the style of shades I was asking about, she mentioned Target and Lowes and left me standing on the showroom floor while she took a phone call to get a quote on her cars repairs. Lol

WOW! This is the place. Very high quality items. Elegant. Whimsical too. Not just lamps. It has incredible lights and chandeliers if youre building a home or remodeling and want a statement item for the foyer or dining room. Or if you want something refreshing, artistic or unusual. This store also has a very large stock and variety of high quality lampshades, embellishments, replacement parts, etc. Can get replacements for antique or unusual lampshades. Can order special items. Owner is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Its a small business so check the hours before heading over.

My husband and I had spent hours shopping for the perfect lampshades for our guest house to no avail. We were visiting his dad in Merritt Island Florida and someone recommended we go to A Shade Above, and we are so glad we did. Jenkie was GREAT! She knows her stuff and was so polite. Oh how I wish more businesses treated customers the way she treated us. I seriously would not have been surprised if she pulled out some hors d’oeuvres for us. That’s how welcomed we felt in her store. She picked out the perfect coordinating lampshades the first go around. I think they have like 6000 lampshades from which to choose. I would...will go back the next time I’m looking for lampshades. When we left, I asked my father-in-law if that was the way people used to do business and he replied, “Yes. That was the norm.”Just a heads up - they only take checks or cash.

Beautiful store. They have a variety of beautiful lamps and lampshades. If you have money to spend and you cant afford it definitely stop by. The owner / manager is a very very nice woman. It is a family store. So she takes a lot of pride in making sure that the store houses quality items. She also ensures that whoever comes to through her doors have good experience.

Loved the lady who runs the place but operating a cash only business with sky high prices must be a challenge.

The service and inventory at this store is just amazing! The owner took the time to help me select shades for 3 lamps. Most places have lamp shades, but no one to assist in the selection of a quality lamp shade. The owners knowledge and experience in this line of work was obvious as soon as we started talking about what I was looking for. This type of service and experience is virtually nonexistent in most other stores. I would highly recommend A Shade Above if you are looking for lamps, lamp shades, light bulbs for your lamps, and even pull chains for ceiling fans. I am definitely going back!

The owner is extremely knowledgeable about all things to do with lamps. You can find unusual items and allways the right lampshade.
