Relaxing place, variety of pottery you can pick from.painting process long, you have to do at least 3 coating of color and if you have big piece it is time consuming. After you done you will leave your creation there for them to glaze it and then fired it up in kiln.the whole process about 3-7 days depending when you come in initially.they are really busy,so you need to have reservation, last time we were there they did not except walk-ins.
Found out that the traditional gift for a ninth year anniversary is pottery, so I opted to take my wife here last night. Neither of us had done this before but we both ended up having a great experience! The only “downside”: having to wait a couple days to pick up our final projects. But they say good things come to those who wait! We will be back..👍😎👍
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was not to bad there was four of us cost was about 80 dollars and we were their for almost two hours. They had lost of paint colors and were very helpful with how to do it. Do not go thou unless you call ahead and get a reservation. Because of covid they only have half their tables open so just walking in did not work out for us. Their web site says partys of 6 need reservations but we were a party of 4 that walked in at noon and could not get a table till 5pm. Not really there fault but I think they should update there web site and also give that info when you call with questions. All in all would not mind going back the family enjoyed it.
What a great experience for me and my 3 daughters! From 6yrs old to 20, they enjoyed it and created amazing pieces. Being on vacation, was glad we came in at the beginning of our stay due to finishing process taking several days. Staff was awesome and well organized, making it a great start to our vacation! Be back next year!
Decided to come here as a fun date with my wife and we absolutely loved it. We had so much fun. The atmosphere is toned to bring out the best creativity in anyone who enjoys painting. I would for sure recommend this place. Great for kids too.
Tried going in their today to do pottery with our kids and a man came out of nowhere from outside and literally pushed me out of the way stopping me from going in and said excuse me, I found out he was the owner or manger not by him introducing himself but by me asking and he was very rude and short about it. During this very short incident another table saw the whole thing and one of the girls came outside and said we have room at our table we have no problem sharing ( which was so sweet of her!), she asked the owner/manager and he said no. I understand being booked but he was very nasty about it, this was or first and last experience ever going here!
Had a great time with the whole family here... we made mugs and pumpkins and plates... soooo much fun.... love how they plan for groups ahead and have a wonderful selection for everyones tastes and styles... staff is very creative and will help you with any question and help when you need it!! A must do with the family!
Nice relaxing atmosphere. Went with my Daughter when she came for a visit. We had a great time and made some beautiful memories.
Nice relax place to go and be creative. I like that you are able to bring your own food and drinks. I think prices are a little high for some of the things. My daughter loves coming, but I hope she gets an interest on plates or mugs, because I dont think I can fit another figurine in my house. Nice place to come as a group just because or to celebrate a birthday.
This was an awesome experience! My wife and I went there and spent a few hours chatting together and being creative. If you like crafts, this is a must go!
We had a great time painting the atmosphere was very nice the prices were reasonable. But at the end and the owner was super rude because we open two paints at a time. He proceeded to reprimand me and my children for not following the instructions correctly. After a wonderful time painting and $100 later he ruined it. My five year old opened two paints big deal.
I have fun painting a church the cashier is nice.
My wifes new favorite shop.
This place is so therapeutic! Theyre very kind and helpful and good accommodating children. You dont have to wear masks inside during this time if you dont want to but theres plenty of space to space out. I think the pieces range anywhere from $6 to $25! Plenty of choices and colors to paint with. Your ceramic is fired and ready to pick up within a week. Love this place!
Friendly staff. Very fun experience.
This place has been a hometown staple for me for almost 15 years now. I loved being able to take my out of town boyfriend here and show him a bit of my childhood while still being fun for adults! Prices are very fair and the staff is always, always, helpful! If you go on a crowded day (weekend) feel free to bring a laptop or tablet with some headphones and stream while you paint! Very relaxing :)
Marie was very helpful. She explained how the process worked and we had a great time. Honestly, it was more fun than I thought it would be. I personally enjoyed it and Im actually looking forward to going back. I have a ton of ideas now. I highly recommend. Enjoy!
A gem in Melbourne! We had the best time, the had so many pieces to choose from. The staff was amazing. You have to stop here if you are ever in down town Melbourne.
Fun place, lots of good pottery to paint and a friendly staff.
It does not state on their website but you MUST have a reservation now. Went as part if our vacation and had a fun family bonding time.. Maria was helpful and friendly. Even with social distancing she was able to help us without making it awkward. We were not going to be able to get our items since we were checking out that morning and they made sure we could pick up our stuff the day before. MUCH APPRECIATED!!! Be prepared they have alot of choices and it could get overwhelming and very expensive due to wanting to paint EVERYTHING. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Love this place. Its only ceramic painting. They have a decent inventory of ceramics to choose from.. with a few new items each month. We like the single up front cost of each piece that includes everything, like painting time... since we do take a while. And you can bring in lunch. Perfect.
A wonderful little place in downtown Melbourne. Great for all ages, tapping into your creativity, thoughtful gifts and a fun activity for rainy days. You can go by yourself and have some quiet time or grab a group for a night out. (6 or more need a reservation) if you’re a first timer tell them so you can get all the directions about what to do. It does take a few days after you paint it to be fired, so plan ahead if you’re making a gift or on vacation.
Now here is some good quality wholesome fun. Bring your child and give them an experience that they will never forget. Whether she is a girl or a boy, both will enjoy this experience. It will bring you closer to your child, and appreciate how important it is to provide them a great experience. Turn your phone off, and bring your child or your friend, and experienced this great pottery place. The prices are great, and it is not a noisy environment. You have all the time in the world to create your wonderful pottery. You could spend one hour, or six, or even more. It doesnt matter, they do not rush you. I drive from Vero Beach Florida to go to this great place in downtown Melbourne. Give them a chance and you will see exactly what Im saying. And theres a fabulous coffee bar directly next door. Enjoy yourself a cup of hot Java.
Nice little relaxing place.
This was a really cool place. Awesome to do with friends or alone. I found it very relaxing. The only small issue I had was there was no guidance on what to do. It was my first time and I had to watch everyone else to figure it all out. Otherwise great little place.
Love going here with friends, my kids, for a date night. Anything. Its really fun. You pick your own ceramic to paint, leave it there and pick it up a couple days later with its finish on it. Great place for any age.
Have been going here for over ten years and the quality has never declined. Friendly staff and a great selection (at reasonable prices!!) make this a great place to bring friends or family.
Would have been 5 stars because it was lots of fun, HOWEVER, it was my first time with my sister and we got rushed out at 1:40 even though we had until 2pm to finish and they rudely moved our stuff (purses) and took away the object I had painted before I could write my name on it. Was nice to start but was very rude at the end.
Perfect place to have fun and create memories, friendly staff and a great place to relax while painting.
Im no artist, but they have a wide range of pottery to choose from. I also get chills from touching unglazed pottery, but guess what... They offered me disposable gloves. Cool. That made a difference. So I was able to enjoy making something. Plan to spend some time there.
Get fired up is the bast paint your own pottery place I have ever been to, and I worked at one years ago. A few weeks ago I went to pick up a piece I had and done and found a small smudge of paint on it ( that was not ment to be there) the owner said he can fix it and if it was not to my liking they would give me a new one. Well let me tell you he fixed it so well, its like it never happened. This family owned business is always a joy to go to. Thank you for being apart of our community. I will be back and Im bringing friends.
I have been a customer since they first opened and i am very disappointed at todays customer service. Upon arrival we were informed that we had until 2pm to finish what we were working on. At 1:30 we were informed we had 10 minutes to compete our pieces, 2 of my kids were already done, 1 and myself were on our last coat. My boy had cleaned everything up already, and we were finishing up. By 1:40, they took my purse and moved it onto another table, and were pulling our table apart, including moving our belongings. When I tired to discuss it with the manager, I was quickly dismissed as they had another party there for their 2pm appointment. By, 1:56 my kids and I were already pushed out the door, feeling disappointed. I have always loved this place, but today I felt very hurt.
My wife and I had a fun experience here for her birthday. I will say its a very relaxed experience with basically no structure at all. You walk in and pick and pay for a piece to paint, then the paints and all the supplies and the eventual final firing are at your own leisure. Paint as much or as little as you want, take all the time you want... The staff readily answered all our questions. If you walk in with a plan, youll walk out with a piece of art.
I bring my toddler here to enjoy an artistic activity out of the sun and we love it. Amazing service. He brought home a piece and accidentally broke it and they told me to come in and had me pick out something new on them. Very nice place and huge variety of pottery and paint colours
Great place for a family or work outing. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks and hang as long as you like... Very nice pieces to choose from
Its a fun place to go with a group or by yourself. You pic out your piece, and paint away. You can even bring wine if you want to. The only thing is that you have to wait 4 to 6 days for them to ship them to the kiln. But its a fun and relaxing time. (*the pic of the Christmas tree moose wasnt even dry yet, so your piece will look better once its cooked, I promise lol.)
Such a cute place! Was visiting for a few weeks, and I was able to go with a friend to make a project. I love the policy they have where you can come back and finish painting your project anytime. The prices are reasonable, and they play great music! We did not take advantage of brining our own food there, but I like that this is an option.
Nice store. Paint your own pottery. And get your geocaching supplies too.
Very cool place. Must see... Go check it out and relax while doing artwork.. Everything one would need is supplied.
We love to come and work on ceramic projects. The colors are so bold after firing. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice environment.
This is a very neat place to have in the area. Yes, they are a bit on the pricey side but I think it is justifiable when you consider that employees need to be paid, the electricity is needed to see what you are painting, the kiln does not run for free, plus somebody has to craft and shape the ceramics pre-painting. When that is the only thing they sell, the price goes up.I slashed a star out because for all the choices they have, a lot of it is generic. Like plates and such. It is a neat concept but I was hoping for something that fit a bit more into pop culture instead of dishware and goofy animals. There was a tardis and I was a big Doctor Who fan years ago, but it was a piggy bank. I dont need that considering that I dont keep cash around. Nothing really spoke to me and I did end up settling on a smaller piece. I hope they change up the choices soon. I found it relaxing to do what I havent done since middle school. I will be back.
I have been going to get fired up since I was a little kid. I actually had my birthday party there last year. The staff is super nice and helpful, they have really cool stuff to paint. All around theyre a great place 10/10
A peaceful place to go work and paint on some pottery. We had fun. Handicapped accessible
***Update**** Ive met most of the staff now! Ive been coming a LOT! The young girl from original review is Madi. Shes awesome! So is Marla and Aileen. Both have been so helpful and welcoming! I highly recommend this place!! Great for individuals, or groups! Ive also seen birthday parties!! You ARE allowed to bring food and drinks, even wine! What a gem of a place!! Thank you to the whole staff and Rich the owner!Everyone was very helpful and the young girl at the counter was super sweet!! She helped my son and a lot!!! We spent a few hours there that day and STILL didnt finish, the girl wrapped it up nice for us and told us to come back when ever we wanted to finish! If it wasnt Christmas day I would be there now!! But were going back tomorrow to finish, and Im bringing my 2 daughters to paint something tooo!!!! Ive told everyone about it!! THANK YOU!!!!
Great selection.
Been going here for over 5 years. I love it! I love it! I love it! The cost of the pottery you choose includes everything: the paint, the brushes, the glaze, and the kiln for it to be fired up! You can spend a couple hours there or go back for days to finish a piece. If you want to make it a whole date night, you can even bring food and drinks to enjoy! There is also a wonderful food and beverage cafe next door (I recommend the chai tea!). If you are thinking about going to Get Fired Up, dont hesitate to just go see it, walk around the shop and see if you like it!
Bright, organized, work space. Conducive to working alone or with friends. Staff helpful.
Took my grand daughter there to make mothers day gifts for mom and grandma. Staff was great, as Im not exactly an expert. Grand daughter (3) absolutely loved it. Ended up with two handmade coffee mugs painted by her and with her hand prints (staff suggestion.) She made a bit of a mess, which I tried to keep under control, but the staff just laughed and made me comfortable with the whole process. Grand daughter was entertaining the whole room with her giggles and art work. I, of course, helped clean up when we were done, in case you were wondering. A+++
Too pricey. And most importantly, staff is not welcoming, or accommodating to big groups or people who don’t look them. We called ahead of time to notify them we had a big group and to reserve a spot for day but didn’t specify time. At the end of conversation, they said ´okay’ but did not ask for our name for the reservation or ask that we arrive by a certain time etc. So, we showed-up when it fit our schedule. upon arrival, they said we should have called. We DID call - and their site doesn’t make it mandatory to call unless we had a certain number, we had less than that number. We did them a favor by calling, but we got slapped in the face for it. Also, the place was EMPTY when we arrived, it’s not until we were done, that people began pouring in. Note to manager/owner: it’s not the customer’s problem you don’t know how to manage your establishment’s reservation. furthermore, they never took the time to explain how anything works around the place, since it was our first time. Also, there was a huge bowl of chocolates, and my two and 4 year olds helped themselves to 3 each (6total). The bowl was taken away- why? Funny thing- I went back to pick up the finished ceramics without the rest of my family (I look more like them, while my family does not), the same person who greeted us helped me find my ceramics was all of a sudden so sweet and so helpful...another note: you ain’t fooling anybody, lady. Overall poor customer service and RUDE (there is another word for it really, but I decline to say it). Oh and we called to complain directly to manager and owner, to avoid a negative review and to give them a chance to explain, but they never called back. So classy! (I would put Zero stars if it were an option).
It is the best place in the world. I love to to this place to spend some time with close friends and family. I stay for about 4 hours and the paints and pottery are awesome. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
My sister took me (28) my mom ( 70s ) n my kid (6) for my birthday awesome experience. Want to go back!
Was fun and unique. Me and my family enjoyed the experience
Took my kids (4 & 2) here for a fun activity, and they loved every minute of it! We picked up our creations a few days later and they were awesome! I highly recommend for people of all ages.
It is a very good place for beginners and very experienced people. Very good selection of colors, shapes, and sizes. Also, a multitude of brush sizes and shapes. Very recommend.
Had a great time.Pick a piece and paint it as you like and bring the kids they love it mine did.
Is always clean, has a large variety of pottery to paint for all ages and the staff is friendly, experienced and more then happy to make knowledgeable suggestions.
I recently discovered this place after ignoring it for a long time, and I am in love ! You pay the price of the item you want to paint and the. Can paint for as long as you need, even over the course of several days, all paints and tools included. There is no pottery wheel despite the current sign which they are Im the process of updating. The people are friendly and helpful and there is a food selection of items to paint, mostly under $25.
Good music, very relaxing and huge variety of project! Always a good time!
Reasonable prices on their pottery; a fun little place to be in for a few hours with friendly staff
It was a WONDERFUL experience, BUT there should of been someone to greet you to explain what to do... will be coming back again :)
Quiet place to do some painting on pottery. Brought my girlfriend for a nice relaxing afternoon date and had a great time. However half of her piece was lost by the store for about a week after it was finished but luckily was found and returned to her.
I go there sooo much!!! Youre allowed to bring outside food/drinks in, stay for however long, bring your ceramics home and back later if youre not finished, etc. Super fun for adults and kids alike. 😊😊
Had great fun with family, lots of choices for figurines and colors, reasonably priced.
I found this place and fell in love! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Only high glazing is available, however?! Lots of pieces to choose from and colors. Great place for a party, date night, socializing......kudos to the staff!!!
Love this place
One of my designs was featured in the window. I was so proud! Really interactive place to go if you like arts and crafts
So much fun, not sure who liked it more... the kids or me and my husband. Definitely going to do this again!
I went here with my sister to hang out with her to spend time(she’s constantly working so I went, this isn’t really my thing but I wanted to hangout with her)So I walked in and saw lots of choices to choose from, jets, cups, plates, angels, dragons, gnomes, and probaly 100 other things in their, the prices are kinda high but you don’t pay for paint and if you don’t finish you can bring it back no charge, I picked the biggest thing in their, despite me doing it for the first time. I also painted a surfboard for my dad since his birthday is coming up in August and also did something for my mom and did a gnome. The dragon imo was the coolest, but will take a good month or two to do. When I got their it was all kids, with moms but in the later hours it was all adults, painting and making close details to very big,and more so the expensive side of the store. My dragon was 56 but I get to come whenever I want as long as their open and use as much paint. 4/5 because of price but everything else is great, they also glaze it
I had no knowledge of what to do and they were very helpful and had suggestions on what I could do to make things easier for me.
Love this place!! It is a great little get away to relax and do something fun!! Love it!! Only wish you would get some bigger bowls and platters to paint!!!
Nice atmosphere. Good family craft time.
They have a good variety of pieces to choose from. Decent prices. Lots of stamps and stencils for the less artistic like me.
One step below a Christmas Tree Store. But very nice if looking for Rugs;Pottery ; seasonal items; wood and metal decorations for around house; artificial flowers. etc.
If you are feeling crafty - give them a call, pick something out and go paint it. I have two new custom containers for Q-tips that match my bathrooms perfectly.
Love this place, great way to have a different evening, staff is amazingly friendly n helpful
Every time I come to visit my daughter in Melbourne, my granddaughter and I enjoy painting ceramics here together!
Great place to relax while painting ceramics and enjoying excellent companionship.
Omg such and amazing experience great service and great prices
So much fun to paint items. Wish this place would come out with new items other than the same old things to choose from.
Arrived an hour before closing, your employee turned a party of 3 away because she said we wouldnt have time to finish??? Like we cant come back to another day! Ive been here plenty of times before and that female employee is always some type of rude, brings the whole atmosphere of the place down. My guests and I just took our business elsewhere, wont be returning.
It’s very ironic that during a pandemic they make make a reservation to paint, where they say NOWHERE that you need to, but when you go in there is a whole lot of women sitting around not in 6 ft of distance and none are wearing masks.
Great place. Kids love it
Wonderful, quiet place to relax, and create. Very affordable, and everything is organized. Great location! :)
Fun place to chill out and paint. Staff is always nice.
I love coming here, such a variety of paints and pieces to paint. Very relaxing as well
Great way to spend some relaxing time. Work at your own pace, no pressure.
Great all day painting activity and they let you being in food and drinks.
Awesome experience for the Fam Jam!! Thank you🤙🔥
Had a great time with family painting pottery.
Awesome place....great hands on experience....in historic downtown....which means limited parking
Enjoy painting pottery with my kids at this spot. Very kid friendly.
