Phenomenal company to work with! We used them to do a full master bathroom remodel along with tiling in the master bedroom. Every person that we worked with was professional, responsive, and all did excellent work. We couldnt be happier with the end result, and will definitely use S&W next time we have a project.
S&W Kitchens, Melbourne, proved to be a “first-class” company to address renovation of my master bath which was damaged following a lightning strike at my home. Due to this peril, the bathroom had been completely gutted (ceiling, drywall, cabinets). The challenge was to salvage and re-install as much of the original custom cabinetry, fixtures etc. using my own contractors (plumbers, electricians, cabinet installer etc.) and then replace my countertops and vanity sinks for an updated look and style. From the moment I entered the S&W state-of-the art showroom, I was impressed with the array of choices and quality of products. More importantly, I discovered that designer Laura Scott is worth her weight in gold! Laura carefully listened to my needs and guided me every step of the way. After her visit to my home, we selected Kohler sinks and the perfect Pompeii Quartz (Valley Sand) with copper veining to complement my existing maple cabinets and white plantation shutters. As an added bonus, due to her prior background in working at a plumbing supply showroom, Laura also advised me of drain assembly parts needed for my existing Kohler faucets and provided other helpful-hints for the re-build. She was able to schedule countertop installation within a short timeframe (far more quickly than other Melbourne fabricators). Throughout this project Laura communicated frequently with me and was professional, pleasant and caring. I am delighted with the results and would not hesitate to engage S&W Kitchens and Laura Scott for my future project needs.
FANTASTIC Experience! We have been working out of our home since March of 2020 so we decided now would finally be the time to upgrade the kitchen to one we had been dreaming of for many years. We did our homework, read reviews and visited the S&W Kitchens Showroom in Melbourne, Florida. We were greeted by Laura Scott who was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and honest, which made it easy to quickly develop a trust relationship with her. Laura ultimately became our Designer and as she gathered our requirements, she listened to all of our wish lists and concerns, and she shared lessons learned to help guide our decision making. She offered excellent suggestions and ultimately created a design that far exceed our expectations and enhanced the layout and function of the original blueprint. She also provided quick and timely communication throughout the entire process. Laura delivered on every promise she made, and she routinely stopped by to check in on the progress and make sure our expectations were being met.We had a pre-construction meeting at our home where we met the various superintendents and project managers that would be overseeing the job. We were provided with documentation that included all of our diagrams and decisions, and a thorough timeline of when we could expect events to occur. They offered expert advice on what to expect and answered all of our questions. They even were considerate of our dogs and ensured us of their safety. Our Project Superintendent, Vinny Mallo, provided excellent communication on scheduled workdays and arrival times. He worked closely with the crews and provided thorough oversight. The crews (demo, plumbing, electrical, cabinet install, backsplash tile, countertops) were extremely professional and provided quality work in a timely manner. From the virtually invisible seams on the beautiful quartz countertops to the expertly laid intricate backsplash tile, we were so impressed with the quality of work. They were always on time and presented virtually no disruptions to us, even in our telework environment. We were also impressed with how clean they kept the environment, hauling away debris at the end of the work days, and keeping all of our areas orderly.Bottom line…we are EXTREMELY happy, highly recommend Laura Scott, and S&W Kitchens and would definitely use their services again.
The project consisted of a full remodeling of two bathrooms and a smaller effort to place new lighting in our kitchen. The project went super smooth and the results met our expectations, exactly. The S & W team put together a well thought out project plan, reviewed it with us in detail, including drawings, accessories, the timeline, and costs. There were no surprises except that it went as planned! The contractors who worked on the project were truly professional. The job site was kept clean and neat, the workers were personable and polite, the project manager was very diligent. Outstanding effort by all involved.
We hired S&W kitchens to redesign a bathroom that had been destroyed by a leaking pipe. They did an excellent job. They worked hard to design a bathroom that matched the rough design we put together, did an excellent job locating quality materials, and communicated with us in a responsive manner throughout the project. They met every deadline and helped us quickly solve unexpected problems as they arose. The finished product is beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for (and was done on time). They are the only place we will call next time we need any work done. If you need help with a project, call Laura Scott in the Melbourne office.
S&W Kitchens (Melbourne, FL office in particular) is a great company to work with, and Laura Scott is a wonderful designer.I hired them to remodel our 35 year old kitchen and had no clue where to begin. Laura walked us through the planning process with great patience and ease (and cheerful demeanor) beginning with an assessment of what we currently had and what we were hoping to accomplish in the finished design. With that understanding of our needs she worked up several proposed configurations and presented them to us as 3D and 2D presentations. Then she guided us through the material selection process for color, style, and mechanical configuration. Once we were satisfied with all that, she worked up a final plan including a detailed List of Materials and work plan.During that process we also met with Dale (construction lead). Together they laid out a timeline for the construction giving us a time window of best case and worst case duration. For the most part, they hit the timeline as promised and finished within the original prediction window. The work crews were polite and friendly. We felt very comfortable having them around the house (no security concerns.) They answered any questions we had while they worked and during the job progress. They worked carefully and kept the house as clean as possible by removing construction debris each day and hauling it away (no dumpster in the driveway!). Floors were protected with heavy-duty cardboard mats that were taped in place to prevent damage. Our hardwood floors came through the process without damage. We used plastic drop-cloths over everything each day to shield from dust. (Its inevitable that dust gets everywhere. Buy a stock of A/C filters and plan on changing them out every day or at least every other day during demolition and early phases of the construction, especially if drywall work is going on.) They can also place plastic sheeting to close off rooms as much as possible but the circulating air carries a lot of dust around the house nonetheless.Measurements were taken of our kitchen on at least two occasions (measure twice, cut once theory) so as to be sure they were correct. However, we still ended up ordering a special cabinet in one position as the one cabinet was too wide for the location because they ordered the wrong size. The quartz countertop fits perfectly. Alignment and seam work are exceptional. I couldnt find the seam until my wife pointed it out to me. The quality of the back-splash tile work is also exceptional. The installer meticulously hand fit pieces around the difficult areas. After the cabinets were installed, Laura inspected them and ordered replacement bits for anything that was scratched or dinged or had questionable surface finish. They cabinet installers adjusted all the drawer slides and cabinet hinges for proper operation. They had first indicated that they would stage all the materials in their warehouse and then bring them over, then we discussed storing them in the garage, but we were concerned about humidity issues and bugs, but in the end the materials were all staged in our family room. (We moved everything into the other rooms to make room for the materials. It had two benefits: first, it was adjacent to the kitchen so it made work efficient and easy; secondly, all materials were under A/C and so all dimensions stabilized in the wooden parts prior to installation. It was inconvenient for us because of the crowding but it was probably the best solution in the end.)It is inevitable that remodeling is inconvenient. However, S&W Kitchens did their best to make everything flow smoothly. We are very pleased with the finished result and I easily recommend S&W Kitchens and Laura Scott for anyone seeking to remodel their kitchen.
We engaged S&W Kitchens to assist with renovating our kitchen. Our project was relatively small. It involved replacing the existing granite countertop with an quartz countertop as well as making alterations to the configuration of our counter. S&W also performed ancillary work such as replacing our kitchen sink and faucet. They also replaced the countertop and sink in our laundry room and make some modifications to enable our dryer to fit properly. Laura Scott was our designer and she remained involved throughout the project to ensure our satisfaction. We were impressed by Lauras professionalism as well as by the quality of S&Ws work. We were provided detailed plans for our project which the various tradesmen followed to a tee. Our project was completed efficiently, on time and with minimal disruption to our home. S&W expended a lot of effort on detailed finishing to make sure that every aspect of the countertop, as well as the existing cabinetry, was perfect. We would highly recommend S&W Kitchens for any home remodeling need.
We worked with S&W kitchens to update our kitchen cabinets earlier this year and we couldnt have been more pleased with the outcome! Lee was fantastic to work with and made sure our project was done in a timely manner. Their entire team is professional and really knows their stuff. I highly recommend working with them on your kitchen renovation projects!
Totally honest, informed staff!Be sure you have time and money to get your remodel done with artistic flair as well as super skilled craftmanshop.
Moving from Texas to Florida was quite a challenge. We wanted to be closer to our children and find a home to accommodate our 2 horses and 4 dogs. The home we found was ”Adiamond in the rough”! The only thing it had going for it was the lovely trees in the front yard, enough acreage for the horses and a move in ready barn. The day I walked into S and W kitchens and met Laura Scott was my best day since moving to Florida. My kitchen (and the rest of the house) was not functional and so, so outdated. I explained my dilemma to Laura, and thanks to her positive attitude, she said she was up for the challenge. And what a challenge it was. Not only was the existing kitchen design a challenge, I had already bought the new appliances for the new kitchen. The transformation from old, dark and outdated kitchen to a new, bright, updated and perfectly designed kitchen is amazing. Laura is an outstanding person a designer. She is the best along with the rest of the S and W Kitchens crew. Our kitchen is perfect! George and Jo Rosenhauer
We recently had a bathroom, kitchen and bar area renovated by S&W Kitchens. We entered a project of this scale with some trepidation, but overall the whole process went smoothly and we could not be happier with the outcome. Designer Lindsey Schwartz and superintendent Dale Thomas were diligent in the planning of the project such that each aspect was scoped out in detail before they started.Lindsey was always a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable about overall design elements as well as available products, and always responsive to messages. She was able to guide us through making style choices without imposing her personal preferences. Dale was always on top of the project, available to meet to discuss details, and had the knowledge and foresight to avoid problems that might occur. All of the personnel, including the construction workers were diligent and courteous. All in all, we are incredibly pleased with our renovations both aesthetically and from the quality that went into them. We would work with S&W again in a heartbeat.
I cannot say enough good things about Lindsey and her team at S & W in Melbourne. We chose white Holiday cabinets in a shaker style with a navy island for our brand new kitchen. The results are fantastic. Lindsey has an amazing attention to detail and made sure we were 100% satisfied.
We have had our kitchen, master bath and laundry room totally redone by S&W Kitchens. They are a bit more expensive than other remodel stores, but, as the saying goes...You get what you pay for. This is very true of S&W Kitchens. Lee Reeves (Kitchen) and Lindsey Schwartz (Master Bath and Laundry Room) were the designers. They were very professional throughout the entire process. They helped with the designs, interjecting their design expertise to help us get the most beautiful, modern and up to date kitchen and master bath. Our Master Bath is something out of a magazine - almost spa-like. S&W Kitchens is all inclusive, meaning that they use their own contractors, supervisors, painters, electricians, plumbers, tilers, etc. We never had to worry if the contractor and workers were going to show up. At the end of each day, they cleaned up which was appreciated. All of the workers were very professional and friendly. Dale, the lead contractor for the projects, kept the work moving. We thank them for our spectacular new rooms. We would highly recommend this top-notch outfit!
The folks at S&W kitchens care about their clients. Awesome designs/designers with attention to the smallest of details. Looking forward to our new kitchen. It will be worth the extra money as our kitchen is the heart of our home.
We LOVE our new countertop! Lee and Dale together with their team did an outstanding job! They worked efficiently and professionally. When they left they took any mess with them. I highly recommend them for any reconstruction you may need!
If you want the most incredible Kitchen, Bathroom or Closet I would definitely recommend S & W Kitchens. It is worth the money because they will get the job done from start to finish. Also they are experts when it comes to Outdoor Kitchens. Amazing.
They was very helpful
We were very pleased with our kitchen remodel by S & W. Laura was friendly and professional, and she created a beautiful and functional design for us. There were some challenges along the way, but we were happy with how the team communicated with us and solved the problems that came up. Our new kitchen has received many compliments and we are glad that we trusted S & W with the work.
We recently had S&W completely remodel our kitchen with amazing results. Working with Laura, Dale and and the team was a pleasure; things went well right down to the last little detail. S&W is a class act!!
De Anna did not show up for our kitchen remodeling appointment.
Hired S&W for a bathroom remodel. Our Project designer, Lee, was absolutely outstanding. He guided us through the whole process and pointed out what things would add lasting value and what things were just trends. At the end of the day, we were totally thrilled with the design. Lee was there the whole way and took care of every little detail. The actual work was disrupted by Hurricane Dorian (or the lack thereof), which completely blew the whole schedule. After things settled from that, everything was done exactly as we wanted. Completely satisfied
I wanted to put in an outdoor kitchen at my residence. I had spent weeks thinking about the design and finally contacted S&W Kitchens to start the process. Lindsey Schwartz was the designer. She listened to my thoughts on the design, we talked about budget and set up a time where she could see the space we were working with. From there Lindsey performed her magic. After a short time, she came back with multiple designs.Among them were one that closely resembled my original draft design and another superior-in-every-way design that was more cost efficient. Needless to say I chose the design that cost less and was more appealing. As projects like this go, I changed my mind about a half a dozen times with regards to details as the project was underway. Lindsey was very patient, very accommodating and very knowledgeable about was possible with the materials available. One fear you always have with contractors is what will be the quality of work. Have no fear with S & W Kitchens. Every sub contractor they used was professional, courteous, and skilled. Dale Thomas, the construction supervisor assigned to me, was fantastic. He kept the work moving, provided guidance to me when I had questions about other construction methods that were possible, and was a pleasure to work with. I now have an excellent outdoor kitchen and it is the envy of the neighborhood. All in all, the experience with S& W Kitchens was superb. I highly recommend Lindsey Schwartz as your designer. You will be very pleased with results.THANKS S & W KITCHENS…
We remodeled a 20 year old kitchen with beautiful results. We love our new kitchen. Lindseys design expertise was fantastic and the construction crew very professional. I highly recommend them! Master bath is next.
Lindsey did an awesome job in translating my concepts, descriptions, and examples of what I was looking for in my kitchen remodel. While modern is not typical in Brevard, Lindsey was excited to do a project of that nature. The entire S&W team were very professional and I was always kept up to date as to what was going to happen when. There were very few issues that came up during the project. The communication was always timely. Whether it was Lindsey, the job foreman, or any subcontractors, they always communicated directly and honestly when any issues needed resolving and sought my input in determining solutions. I felt that my satisfaction was their primary goal. The kitchen turned out fabulous and I would not hesitate to recommend them highly to friends. I plan to update a bath in the near future and plan to give Lindsey and S&W my business when I do.
We bought a fixer upper condo on the beach. We had heard so many horror stories of remodels gone bad. We hired S&W because of their great reputation for customer service. We were not disappointed. Lindsey Schwartz was our designer. We did a complete remodel of master bath and kitchen and minor remodel on the two guest baths. She clearly knows what she is doing and was a pleasure to work with. We were impressed with the quality of work and how easy it was to work with S&W. All workers are given background checks. This was important to us because our condo was not going to be livable during construction. Dale, the construction superintendent, was great. He impressed our condo Board of Directors. We needed their approval to proceed, so this was important. We did not get nickeled and dimed to death. The price in the contract is what we paid. Every Friday, I received an email from Lindsey with photos on progress for the week and plans for the next week.Everyone who has seen our remodel is totally impressed. They are a high end remodeler and you will be happy you hired them.
We started off great guns but then had a problem with the permit which put timeframes off quite a bit. Cleaned after each day. End product came out great and was totally satisfied with end results. Only concern I could voice is more communication. I like to know often what is going to happen next and when.
Close to the house and they were honest and upfront with me with my questions !
So far Lee has done an excellent job putting our ideas into an awesome design
1/18/2018We waited 20 years to get a new kitchen in our 1964 house. Gayles design is spectacular and she is wonderful to work with. Dale and his crew did a great job giving us more than we couldve imagined on our own! They were willing to work with us as DIYers too! This was a huge project, as we started out replacing ALL the plumbing, so we were redoing the bathrooms while they were redoing the kitchen. We took out a big wall and opened the whole thing up. We had a few problems along the way, but Dale went out of his way to make things right and the result is stunning. Special appreciation to their cabinet man Scott, who is excellent!
Just paid final invoice to S and W kitchens . They are complete professionals in every way . Very happy with new Kitchen looks amazing, and totally refreshed our home. A special thanks to Dale, Lee, Scott, Kevin and rest of crew for their hard work and dedication.
We were very excited to remodel our Master Bathroom. It started out as just adding a jetted tub to the space and grew into our Dream Bathroom by completely redoing the walk-in shower, Vanity top, sinks, toilet and water closet, along with reconfiguring walls. We didnt know that our Dream would turn into a Nightmare. We decided to contract with S&W Kitchens, even though their estimate was $4000 higher than any of the others. We made this decision due to our comfort with the Designer and Estimator/Project Coordinator that we dealt with during the detailed planning process, S&W Kitchens reputation, advertizing and the promise of a structured process with the Highest Possible Level of Customer Service & Communication. We were assigned a Construction Superintendent, who initially met with us and our Designer to go over the job, all details of the contract and develop a schedule. Our job was estimated to be 5 to 7 weeks from start to completion, we thought was a little excessive, but accepted it.We soon started to experience problems due to the Construction Superintendent. He consistently tried to put the blame on our Designer or others for his inability to control the job. As our main contact on the job, we were told that it was his responsibility to understand our project and Contract completely in order to execute the job. After MANY problems with lack of communications, poor sub-contractors and other issues too lengthy to describe here(due to limited character space) we knew that there was no way that the Superintendent was credible any longer and our relationship with him had deteriorated to the point that we could no longer rely on him to complete the project successfully. He had taken some shortcuts throughout the project, was NEVER on-site for the mandatory County Inspections (we had to walk the inspector through every detail) and had NOT adhered to the Contract requirements. We contacted our Legal Representative and sought her advice regarding our possible courses of action. We had to request a new Construction Superintendent and threatened legal action. As a direct result, The Director of Field Operations took over our job. We went over ALL the missed details, issues, and Contract concerns with the Field Operations Director. He was very professional, addressed these items, and we were finally able to get the job completed. Its a shame that we didnt have someone like the Field Operations Director to work with our wonderful Designer and Project Coordinator, from the beginning. We might have been spared the painful experiences and anguish. The Total Project Time was 12 1/2 weeks and only then due to getting our legal representatives support and advice, not the original 5 to 7 weeks estimated. We can only hope that if there are any Warranty Issues in the future that S&W Kitchens will stand by their Warranty. Unlike their advertising, we were NOT 100% happy with the overall process and The S&W Difference was NOT Simply Wonderful!
Nothing but accolades from us. Attention to detail and incessant desire to make everything right for us, their customers. Highly recommend S&W Kitchens.
