This was the easiest transaction I have had using uhaul.. the woman at the front desk was amazing. She helped me save some money on my trip. I accidentally rented the wrong size truck (26ft). But it all worked out in the end because when I got there they had a 17ft truck left. I will definitely return to this place if I ever need another truck rental! Thank you so very much! And for anyone looking.. don’t hesitate.

The ladies in this store are amazing! Took care of my truck return quickly and efficiently. If they had a storage unit big enough I would have stored with them as well

We rented a UHaul in June and everything went fine. When we rented one in July - totally different story. The truck we were given was filthy dirty in the cab and in the back. When we returned the truck, we were first told that the truck didnt look like that when we picked it up. Later we were told it was our responsibility to check it out before we left. I had made many, many phone calls to different rental places and was told many times that we had to have the truck back to the facility on time SO THEY WOULD HAVE TIME TO CLEAN IT FOR THE NEXT CUSTOMER. Silly me, I assumed that meant our truck would be cleaned for us. And when I say filthy dirty - I mean grease and oil. We had to put brown paper down and still got grease on our shoes, our ropes, and our furniture. To then be told it was our fault - we were told that they could give us another truck (which they had already told us all the trucks were rented) or we could WAIT for them to clean it. We scheduled our pick up at 7:00 a.m. We didnt have time to wait for our truck to be cleaned. It was just madness. THEN, we left our phone in the truck. As soon as we got home, we called and asked that they look in the truck. She said she did and did not find the phone. I called back the next day and asked about it again. She said the truck was out on the road (thankfully in town). She said she would call the customer and inquire about the phone. I provided my number so she could call me back. I had to call back to inquire again, and guess what? the phone was in the lost and found box! Did she call me to let me know? No. Very rude. Now Im on hold with UHaul (57 minutes and counting) waiting for information as to why my online account isnt working. I would have left this feedback at UHaul, but they have managed to prevent me from doing so. Very disappointing encounter and terrible customer service. If there was an option for zero stars, thats what they would get.

Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Their recorded message said there would be a wait time to talk with someone of over an hour. They cant answer the phone? Wow. With the other reviews posted, these people need a lot of work in customer service.

Uhsul itself was a love hate relationship. The mobile check in was not working. But the CSRs helped a lot. Also they kept moving my pick up location to just the night before that was more than 30 mins away. But the truck was clean and in good shape. *****FYI: Here is a shout out to High Level Movers out of Richmond Va and Prestige Laborers near Stafford VA. They both were no nonsense, careful with my things and stayed on task to finish my moving in the time limit given. Also very reasonable. I will be using both again 5+ Stars. THANKS GUYS!!!!

Reserved a truck and car carrier 3 weeks before moving day. Came time to go pick it up and they told me to get the truck in one place and the trailer on the other side of town. No heads up from them that they wouldnt have the trailer, though I gave them plenty of time to have it ready as we agreed. Why am I doing their job for them? Cancelled everything and went to Penske where I had a much better experience. They also dont check their trucks before giving them out, the last time I used a u-haul from here the tires had no tread and one of them blew out halfway through my move, had to fight with them to cover the cost of having someone come out to replace the tire. Dont waste your time.

Reasonable rates, friendly staff, easily accessible to storage unit. They are a triple threat!

Customer parking is POOR. If there is no parking they tell you to park across the street. I didnt see parking across the 4 lane street so I guess they meant across and up the 4 lane street. Small office area for renting truck. If you get a storage unit on site they REQUIRE you to buy one of their locks. Another way to make money I guess. Staff nice. Took 1 hour to get truck and i was 3rd in line. No where to sit while you wait your turn. Truck check in takes a while too as they check every light, left and right blinkers, backup lights, headlights, high beams, some light, cargo light, as well as walk around. Not a complaint...just be aware.

Kenya was awesome!! This was the best UHaul experience Ive ever had, even though the original pickup location needed to be changed!

Quick polite service. I will go out of my way to use this U-haul next time I move or need a storage Unit.

After being treated very poorly by another U-Haul location, this office took care of us. She was very efficient and helped us find a work-around solution that saved us money in long run. Highly recommend this location.

So, its u-haul. You know what to expect. However the lady at the front desk made the process quick and as enjoyable as renting a big truck can get. Truck was pretty clean and in good shape. Had no issues with pickup or drop-off. If I need another truck, Ill return to this location.

Mechanicsville store was great from the time I called to reserve the van to the time I picked it up and returned it. There was only one young lady working the whole time and she was busy all 3 times I went in there she had people dropping off and picking up it was Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening and like I said she was busy all 3 times I was in there and she did a awesome job. Dont use a prepaid card for your deposit on your u-haul because it will take 2 months for it to get put back on your card

Rented a truck to move pieces of furniture that were being given to me, didnt take long to move but I ran into trouble with the after hours return. It would not allow me to proceed beyond the share your location step, so even though I returned the truck long before it was due, I was worried it would show on their end as not being returned to the location. Fortunately, there were notes left by a representative stating the scenario. I am pleased with the service I received from start to finish, and I appreciate how quickly the issue was resolved.

The nicest staff in the world. Super helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. Made a normally stressful time a little bit better.

Threatened to have our rental reported stolen to the police because we kept it a day longer, not like they aint still getting paid, so why does it matter who rents it? Oh, thats because they want to double book and rent the same U-Haul to 2 different people in one day, even though youre entitled to it for a full 24 hours.Sadly, we also fell victims to their scam when they lie to you about which trucks are available online. You get there and, Wow, no truck in my size I requested, even though it states money back guarantee if not available! However, they make you either upgrade to a bigger one or drive super far out the way to get that size costing you more in the end. Cant wait until the class action lawsuit gets rolling because you all are scam artists!

The lady who works in the office is awesome. The prices are straight forward. The storage units are secure.

I have used the U-Haul rental here a few times. The location is convenient and they generally have a few trucks and trailers available. The service is typically quick and efficient, with no surprises. I have not used the storage facility, but I would imagine that it is run they same way. I would definitely recommend them.

Very nice staff who were very understanding when I forgot to pay for my storage unit. The units are mostly small garages with a poured concrete floor. I dont think they are temperature controlled. But the price was reasonable and they gave me a free month because I rented a truck with them.

Im glad U-Haul is still around. Availability of a 10 truck at short notice save the moving event from getting wet from the rain. The price was affordable. Glad I didnt have to use my own midsize truck.
