Chris Smith and Killer were my drivers for my move on Monday. The team was great. Arrived promptly, with a courtesy call saying they were coming. Started work immediately after the walk through. Our little house was crammed full, but they were efficient and got it all on the trucks in a few hours. Everything was packed with care. They asked questions and were very friendly. They worked very hard and did the move in a long 12 hour day! Price was great, too. No hidden charges to surprise me at the end. Id hire them again in a minute. Thank you Chris and team for making my move so much less stressful!

I had the pleasure of getting the best crew ever. Jamar, JK and Ricky were the BEST!! I’m a single woman and they made my move an absolute breeze! They were professional, friendly and funny 😄. They were totally tuned in to what I needed done and where everything needed to go. They were fast and all of my furniture and belongings made it my destination exactly how it left! All My Sons did an outstanding job of providing a quote, scheduling and arriving for the move in a timely manner. They were professional, friendly and flexible. They took care in moving and packing. Our movers were Chris Smith. Darryle Nash and Latasha Tucker. They took their job seriously yet made the whole situation a very pleasant one. The persons providing the quote and coordinating the move were just as professional and friendly. I would highly recommend All My Sons and the individuals who actually packed and moved to anyone requiring a moving service. I have another move to make and I will be using them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would but this company deserves to go out of business. All my sons movers theyd just throw your stuff around like you dont pay money to buy them Or they act as if your money dont pay their staff They broke my 65 television right now I am so Im so mad I just bought the TV less than a month ago no its ruined I cant even watch it they broke a vase I had in a Box that said fragile handle with care even though it was labeled the correct way they still throw the stuff all over the place Someone needs to reimburse me from my television and whatever else else its broken if not I will be consulting my lawyer Today is July 28 2021.... He was respectful and reasonable, so our experience had been improved.And the actual movers, those guys are truly good people, they deserve a better review.Original Review:The guys who actually move things are great but at the last minute, they couldn’t take our patio furniture, our artwork, bedding = a LOT OF MEANINGFUL THINGS.Bryan, from the office, refused to get another truck, nor reimburse us for a uhaul.Bryan is a rude, unhelpful, illogical horrible man.

I move a lot; in the past 5 years I’ve moved 3 times. I WOULD NOT recommend All My Sons to any poor soul. The company lacks any accountability for when things go wrong and the phrase “customer satisfaction” does not comprehend.My needs for my moving day was to move some items into a storage facility and the rest to my new home. All items in my house were labels “storage” or “apartment”. Some crucial items were sent to a wrong address others were entirely forgotten in my old home despite giving moving instruction for those item.I want to be clear the 3 guys moving stuff worked really hard and deserve more respect for the work they do—because of that, despite all horrible mishaps I still tipped them 240 dollars. So I understand mistakes happen. However what I WILL NOT understand is lack of accountability for those mistakes. No one owned up to mistakes, no mistake was rectified, customer service deflected and said they would charge me 400 dollars to get items sent to the right place—to fix their mistakes. That is after I paid 2460 DOLLARS for the move.You call professional movers because you want convenience and above all piece of mind. There was no convenience or piece of mind in this move.I will be renting a uhaul to fix their mistakes.

All My Sons was great, from making the appointment to the end of the move! Colt had me scheduled within two days of my initial call. I loved his sense of humor too. On the morning of the move, I received the telephone call in the expected timeframe (30-45 minutes prior to arrival). The movers Jermaine and Rah worked fast and efficiently, and they communication with us was excellent. They were quick to assess our moving needs with all the spacing limitations we encountered (from downtown street parking to narrow doorways). They were awesome! And we appreciate Brian’s and Ben’s help over the phone too. I would definitely use AMS for future moves.

Moving from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor without an elevator and luckily to a 1st floor elsewhere.The team were on time, so pleasant, and efficient. They treated my furniture with care and consideration and probably better than I would have done.I used All My Sons 8 years ago and they moved me up to that 3rd floor so who else would I call when time to move!!!Chris and team (sorry but cannot remember the names), THANK YOU!

We used All My Sons to move furniture out and back in to our home when we had some home renovations done. Just like moving out, moving back in was a positive experience. Travis and his grew did a great job moving us back into the house. They were punctual, polite, and very professional. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH IS COMPANY! You have been warned. I would never do business with them again. I used them two times before this with no real issues. But there were always issues even the first two times but they were minor. I decided at the last minute( 2 days before my move) to use movers. I called and it was all set up. I was having them meet me at my storage facility and move my items into my house. They called and said they were on the way and would be there in 20 minutes. I let them know I wasn’t anywhere near there but was on my way. I told the drivers I would be there in about 25-30 min. I get to the storage facility and they weren’t there. I called the driver back and he said they were almost there. I waited for over an hour. I finally called the main # and asked for a manager. This is where it got crazy. I talked to Jeff who said he was the manager. I explained to him I was waiting for over an hour. He said his guys went to finish up another job after I said I wasn’t nearby. He also said he was told I was made aware of this. I told him I was not and just like they charge by the hour, my time is also valuable. I asked if they could pro rate my charge or give me some type of credit for wasting my time. He said no. I said ok, I’ll be sure to write a review of how you don’t value your customers. Jeff then says well if you’re going to write a bad review I’ll cancel the move and tell my guys not to move you. When I tell you it took everything in me not to curse Jeff out. I let him know his threats didn’t move me and that I obviously needed the movers because I was facing a deadline. The movers finally got there and the mover told me he would handle it and to hang up with Jeff. Jeff lacks professionalism and customer service skills. I have never in my life dealt with such rudeness. They will never get my business again and this move was not cheap. I would pay family and friends or use another company if I ever need to move again.

We were very pleased with All My Sons Moving and Storage. They moved our furniture out so we could have the floors refinished. A big thank you goes out to Deandre and his crew. They were awesome! They were professional, polite, and very personable. They were careful with every piece of furniture and efficiently competed the job. We were so pleased that we have requested to have them move the furniture back in the house once the floors are completed.

Brandon and Cody were great. I’m not sure what the truck driver name was but he was kind of rude. I mean I get it we had a snag with the move because I was on a list to have my lock cut and receive a better one. However, I didn’t know that until I got there this morning. Anyway, I gave the guys cold water for their hard work and they were thankful.

I would not recommend using this company for moving, it was a struggle with every step. Not worth $1100 for a small one bedroom apartment move to 3 blocks away.My movers were scheduled to come between 12pm and 5pm, All My Sons called to confirm this 4 separate times. I received a call at 8am stating they’d be at my apartment in an hour. I was not prepared to move at this time, but the person over the phone pressured me stating I would not be able to move if I didn’t take the early appointment. They arrived a block and a half away from my apartment at 845 so they had to move the truck to my apartment. They got up to my apartment at 9:15, but they charged me starting at 8:45am.The All My Sons representative recommended 3 people for my small 1 bedroom apartment, he convinced me it’d be much faster this way and I’d save money. It was one of the mover’s first day and he had not been trained at all. He regularly stood around not doing anything, while one of the other movers consistently took smoke breaks. Only one out of the 3 movers was consistently working. 2 of the movers disappeared for a 45 minute period before any furniture was loaded into the truck. When I went to put a few things into my own car outside, I found them inside the cab of the truck.I moved to a new apartment literally THREE blocks away from my old apartment. A majority of my furniture was scratched up and dented. They dented my newly built apartment’s metal front door by slamming my $1200 dresser into it with great force. A good portion of my fragile items that I meticulously packed were shattered. My new king mattress was not put into a mattress bag like the representative over the phone told me they’d do, so it was damaged and had dirt all over. My new cloth headboard was not protected so it now has a hole in the corner. My white lampshade has fingerprints all over it. My tv stand is scratched up, as well as my shoe rack, bookshelf, dresser, bedside table, coffee table… in the end, I was charged close to $1100 for a move that usually takes me (a 5 foot tall individual) and 3 friends about 3 hours (this is my first experience with professional movers). It took All My Sons 4 hours, even though my mom and I ended up moving all of smaller boxes ourselves.Overall I do not have anything nice to say about my experience. I’ll probably just go back to renting a U-Haul and doing it myself after this experience. Hi

Edited review post move:While Chase was incredibly friendly, I initially gave a high review due to this, but did it as he was standing there and before assessing the quality of the move. I do feel that a lot of money was spent and the value was not what I expected. It took 5 hours to load and unload furniture from our 2 bedroom apartment. My ankle was sprained and I was able to supervise the downstairs but not the upstairs as much. Upstairs furniture was just placed down everywhere and on top of things. Boxes were not organized and some labeled bedroom remained downstairs. I wish I had provided more oversight. We paid 1200 for the move just to have to move almost everything around after they left. If you are scheduling with All My Sons I would consider all of the fees. It took 3 guys 5 hours and it was not all of our things. There is an extra hour added for their travel time and other fees. For 3 guys and a medium size truck the minimum probably in excess of 600 just for the 2 hours they require.We were extremely upset with how things were left after the move. I would not book this company again.

Contacted end of June…for end of July move. Estimator too busy to come out..gave est by face time. But never any details about packing artwork, etc. & confirm date for move. Had to give deposit first of $5K. Did this & 9 days before move the scheduling office called & said he did not think what I had would go on 1 truck. So sent an estimator out 4 days later. The estimator said Oh no have to have 2 - 50’ trucks. So he redid the estimate and it doubled, from 8K to 16K. I am now 7 days from moving out of state & timing is crucial because have to be out of this house in 8 days. There was no negotiation for this price. [So, my daughter found a company in Sterling VA, “My Guys Moving”. They agreed to move me on date needed & finish packing. Est. 7K. On day arrived a 4 man crew (delightful young men) . They agreed they could pack in half day and load and be ready to travel next day. They were careful & responsible. After truck (1 - 50’ truck) weighed in about 7K lbs. My bill was lower than the original quote from “All My Sons”.My belongings arrived safe no issues and nothing broken so far.] The people I dealt with at “AMS” were very unprofessional & gouging. What stress & strife they caused & I think someone should be regulating the Moving industry more closely. This company is a nightmare….and the estimators are “out to lunch”…NO - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Worst experience we ever had and about the least professional group of individuals to ever deal with.If we could rate less than one star we would. How this company stays in business is beyond me. Also cracked a 60” TV screen that went unnoticed until we hooked it up.

Ian Reed and his crew did a great job. Gave us a courtesy call when they were 30 mins out and then again when they were arriving. They packed are stuff fast, safe, and secure. They continue to work without taking any breaks and had great customer service and made the moving experience actually enjoyable which is hard to do. They were able to do the move in less time than expected. 100 percent recommend and would use their service for my next move.

Summary: Do NOT use this company, they will damage your belongings, lawn, and new home then refuse to pay for repairs. Richmond, VATo begin our moving day, the All My Sons truck pulled into the driveway of our home with smoke billowing from the front. A repair man had to come to our home to work on the truck while our belongings were being loaded into it. I wish I had cancelled their services at this point.We quickly noticed that although we were quoted and charged a price for 4 movers, only 3 men arrived at our home. These men were courteous, hard working, and willing to wear masks if requested. However, despite having a member of All My Sons come to our home weeks before to survey our belongings, only about 75% of our items were able to fit in the truck, and we were told the day of the move that they would not be able to move our grill for safety reasons (despite it being included in the initial quote). This caused delays with closing on selling the home as we had to make alternate and costly arrangements to move the numerous remaining items.Upon arriving at our new home, one mover spent the rest of the afternoon vomiting in our bathroom. This left us with only 2 movers (despite being charged for 4), and my husband had to step in to assist with unloading in order to complete everything in a timely manner.Furniture was taken apart and put back together haphazardly with hardware misplaced, multiple pieces were scratched beyond repair, our lawn was run over with the truck, and walls of our new home were severely damaged. We reached out to All My Sons immediately regarding the damage to the walls and were told to get a quote for repairs. We submitted the quote to All My Sons for $900 to repair the walls and were told that they would only reimburse a maximum of $400 despite the fact that the damage was directly caused by their company. I appealed the decision stating that less than half of the estimated cost for repairs was not adequate and was denied by their claims specialist who never actually viewed the damage to our home (despite this being offered).In the interest of just moving forward and forgetting this entire experience, we accepted the $400, which then took over one month, multiple emails, and phone calls to have a check issued. While this company was cheaper than several others in the area, you absolutely get what you pay for. Would avoid business with All My Sons at all costs.

I wish I could remember the names of the men that helped us move! They were amazing!! Not only were they super quick but they were so polite and positive the entire time. I know moving is hard work (which is why most people hire out for it!) but not once did I hear them complain or make a negative remark. They really made this whole experience as quick and painless as possible. If I can find the names of all the men, I will update this review. That’s the team you want!

Four days prior to my agreed-on move date (a Monday), All My Sons called and cancelled. I was dumbfounded. At first no reason was given, no alternate day offered. Finally was told there were “staffing issues.” I asked if they could move me the day after, Tuesday. Also, no. I was speechless and furious. I asked about Wednesday (last day I had to be out of my apartment) and then they agreed. But I was the one who had to ask about their availability; you would think management would be suitably apologetic and prepared with alternate dates. I had taken the days off from work for the move and had to rearrange other vendors, as well as a cleaning service, based on All My Sons’ bailout. I called and requested a reduction in price based on the confusion and inconvenience and was given a very nominal (and grudging) amount off. The three guys who moved me were ok; by far, Mason was stellar - friendly, accommodating, and quick. But I would steer clear of using All My Sons.

Booked online at 5 pm on a Sunday evening for a move the following Friday. Immediately got a call and two more during the week to confirm details. Very professional. Showed up early. Treated everything with care while loading, transporting and unloading. Darnelle Elliotte —- awesome is an understatement! I would hire these guys again!

First the sales guy didn’t have time to come to the house, then he quoted me wrong price. Go figure.. They call me and quote me a crazy number to move 20’ away. Truck is not needed but they still charge me $150 truck fee. They called me 3 times before the move and changed the price each time. Not lower for sure. I finally had enough and asked for deposit refund which sales states he would refund but didn’t. Had to call bank to force refund. My neighbor stayed with them and his final price was almost double the quoted fees. He’s angry too. These guys are crooks and I will never trust them again. Take my advice and never call on these crooks.

Had All My Sons as my moving service just this morning. Everything was great and as promised! Very efficient and fast workers. Carefully wrapped anything you wanted for safe transport. Explained the move to be able to understand easily. This company made the moving process 1 million times more comfortable and easy. Would highly highly recommend using All My Sons. If we have to move again, they will be called on by us.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They scheduled me for pickup between 10am - 1pm and did not show up. Kept calling and kept getting ignored. They finally answered and showed up at 6pm. When it was time to move my furniture on base their drivers could not get on post. The manager told me that I had to get my stuff off the truck that night and it was not his problem what I did with it. It was the absolute worst experience. Never use them for anything. They are the worst company ever to do business with.

We had just put a brand new floor down and all 4 paid attention to this very important detail for us. The furniture that they moved was a family heirloom and they knew this. My husband and I were amazed that these guys cared how much the furniture meant to us. Their teamwork was very impressive. Teamwork makes the dream work! It is so refreshing to see young men enjoy their job so much. The way that they all communicated with each other was admirable and very impressive. One last thing I really hope this review is shared with Jeff and the movers. They should be told how awesome they are!

This company broke two end tables, one of which was an antique, and also dropped a 500 pound gun safe down the stairs and damaged the floor. When it came time to pay the claim they severely shorted us the actual amount to replace the tables and fix the floor in a house that was no longer ours! Then they charged us for more movers than actually showed up. Will NEVER use them again or recommend them to ANYONE!

I scheduled a move about a month ahead of time and paid the deposit. One week before my move they called to tell me the hourly rate was going up from $139/h to $189/h PLUS they were adding a long list of “materials charges” I had originally been told were included in the quoted price and a 15% fuel surcharge. Not 15% of the fuel or travel cost, they added 15% of the TOTAL including labor and materials because somehow those use fuel? They asked to see the quote I was sent where materials were included, which I sent them while still on the phone. They replied I had been sent the wrong template and the price was about $500 more than originally quoted. At this point I was already stuck because my move was a week away. The day of the move the movers themselves were very friendly. However, they dropped several boxes, charged me for more hours than my move took, SIGNED MY NAME on forms I had never even seen, and I’m missing a box I know was in the truck. They did not respond to voicemails, email, or when I replied to the numerous texts they sent asking for a review (here it is!) and when I finally got through after holding on the phone for over an hour they said they have the box in the warehouse and I have to go pick it up. The total I was charged for my move was more than double my original quote when we had already listed every piece of furniture and exactly how many boxes for the quote. Terrible experience all around.

Jerel and the other team members did an excellent job! Jerel communicated every step of the move. The team checked to make sure items where going to the right location. I had items going to my new place, storage, and my brothers house. They got it all done in 4 hours! One team member seemed like he was new or not as experienced but the other three did a fantastic job of coaching him and not letting it slow down the process. All were kind and respectful young men.

You’re better off avoiding this company. Was literally only hired to move the bigger furniture. They charge by the hour and the guys take breaks every 15 minutes. They broke a piece of furniture and are only willing to pay 1/12 of what it’s worth.

Jarel Cobb, Ian Reed and team provided excellent service. They were careful with my furniture and made sure it was well protected. I really appreciated that they took the time to pack all of my belongings neatly in the storage unit. I would definitely used this company again.

Words can not describe how upset I am with this moving company. I will not use or refer this company to anyone. I have used multiple company’s over the years for moving and this company appears to scam and/or get over. I am fully aware of how moving companies operate. I understand that they can not give an accurate quote for moving, but you can estimate using there current fees and charges.However, when I set the time/day with the first representative he gave me estimates, explained everything. But it was the second representative that called to confirm the appointment, would not confirm anything that the previous rep quoted me which sent an alarm to my brain.Long story short: this company charged us $1000 to move a one bedroom house that did not have any bedroom furniture. They moved one kingsize bed, a living room sectional, kid toys and a few miscellaneous items. That’s it............The kicker is that we paid $1000, but the receipts they sent me the next morning displayed a completely different amount that was paid and shows that the total was $668.05, minus the $100 deposit we paid. Which left a total of $568.05......So why were we charged $1000 or anything close to that? Also when I called to follow up about this inaccurate totals, they guy was not helpful and explained nothing. He was unable to tell me why the chargers were different and why the receipts did not reflect the total amount I was actually charged and that I paid.🤔I asked for the receipt to be sent to me displaying the actual fees that were charged and that I paid, Still waiting on that .I will be speaking with my lawyer and channel 12 about this since I’m not able to get anywhere with contacting “All my sons”

Quoted one price and then a week later after they tried to move my scheduled date twice they then tell me it will cost 50% more than my quote without any changes or them seeing my property. Cancelled. 2 Men and a Truck moved my house quicker, cheaper, and much more professionally than I would’ve gotten from these guys.

Team showed up promptly, right at the start of our window. Chris Smith and his team were friendly and had everything packed up quickly. The unload was smooth. We had some pretty heavy stuff to get down into our basement. The team was on point, navigating tight corners and stairs. Thumbs up from us!

I was scheduled to have 4 guys for my move, but only 3 showed up. Calvin and 2 other guys showed up to load my furniture for an out of state move. The 2 other guys seemed to have zero experience and Calvin just stood there coaching and directing. I provided 36 furniture pads. They used a total of 8 and thats only after I kept reminding them to use them. I knew my items needed extra protection compared to the normal down the street move. I also had 24 ratchet straps, none were used. They loaded 17 feet of a 28 foot trailer and used ZERO straps!! After they left I had to go back and add straps and rope to try my best to secure my items. Several pieces arrived badly scratched from rubbing against the side of the truck or other pieces of furniture because they did not use the furniture pads I had provided. A huge hole was discovered on the bottom of a nightstand drawer where it looks like they dropped another item on top of it. Before they left, I brought to their attention a golfball size hole that they put in my wall and they acted like they were not responsible for it, then had the audacity to stand there waiting for a tip. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you dont care if all your stuff arrives damaged.

Had three experienced movers come to my large two bedroom apartment, pack me up, and load up a 16-ft truck that I rented. They were fantastic, and I would highly recommend them. Team leader was James Miller, he is the man!

Worst moving company EVER!!! I should have went with my gut and not used this company. I handled their complaints when I worked at the BBB and I never saw any good reviews. I wanted to give these gentlemen a chance to change my mind. Well they didn’t prove me wrong. I had 4 men(Jose, Tyler, Cameron and Zack) come to my house where I had already disassembled everything and had everything in two rooms. My time started at 9:15am and we left my house at 11:22am. In that time only two MEN were seen actually moving! Two of them stood outside on the side of the truck and smoked! I was going to call the operations office at 10:06am to report this but decided again to try to be a nice customer(Good thing I didn’t because Jeff is a joke). Once at the storage unit, Jose had to wait on hold for Jeff to answer, this was about 15 mins. When I explained my dissatisfaction to Jeff, he offered to take off $100. I looked over my bill and noticed that I was overcharged for materials. This was corrected after I pointed it out and then a new bill was sent. I was still unsatisfied because I’m basically about to pay for a full hour OF NO WORK!!!! Jeff proceeded to say something snarky to Jose along the lines of he’s sorry that Jose had to deal with me not knowing that Jose had him on speaker phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They only care about getting paid and obviously do not value their customers. Even Jose told the guys that this job should not have taken this long and he kept apologizing. I will NEVER use this company again even if I have to move each piece of furniture myself.

James and his team were timely, professional, pleasant and a joy to work with. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. I would use All My Sons again and request this team of employees. Thank you for the work ethic and being so responsible.

I was very pleased with the crew who helped me: Alonzo King, Shay and Isaiah. (I hope I spelled their names correctly!). They were all very professional, courteous and fun to work with. I have some pretty heavy furniture pieces and they were amazing moving and maneuvering them. The office staff I worked with, Jeff and Michelle, were equally wonderful! I highly recommend this company and will use them again if I ever decide to move again!

We hired this company to move my son. On the day of the move, we received a call that they didnt have movers so couldnt come. This left us in a situation as he needed to move that day. Be aware. I realize many companies are short staffed but it is still the responsibility of the company to not overbook then leave customers hanging. Wont use again as trust lost.

These guys were top notch. Called day before and they were there the next morning. Not too heavy on my wallet and nothing but hustle! Seriously, I will recommend these guys to everyone I know. James Miller ran crew with 2 other great guys!! Thanks a lot!!

I booked All My Sons 2 days prior to my move due to my other movers cancelling on me last minute. They squeezed me in to still fit my time table, were on time and VERY communicative via phone about the entire process before, during, and after. The 4 gentlemen (Chris Smith & his team) that moved me from VA to NC were very quick, professional and friendly. I’m a young female that lives alone and not once did any of them make me feel uncomfortable. I highly recommend this company and more specifically, the team I worked with. Thanks again!!
