I highly recommend Touring Car!I had a problem with my A/C in a 2013 BMW that started on a road trip to DC. I went to two different mechanics while there, spent about $750, only to return to Charlotte without A/C. When I got back here I bounced between my usual local mechanic and Hendrick BMW for over four weeks. I was told to replace multiple parts, which I did, and spent another $2,000, and was still in the exact same position I was in when I returned from DC. Then Hendrick wanted me to replace another part for $2,000. I ended up figuring out how to do this on my own for $65, to discover that also wasnt the problem.I then took my car to Dan at Touring Car. I explained the entire story and Dan actually listened to what I had to say. Two days later, my A/C was fixed, and I am now (thankfully) driving with a properly functioning A/C. They were excellent to work with and were able to figure out what four other mechanics were unable to.

I wanted to provide this review as I have found my experience with Touring Car and the owner Dan, exceptional. I have used Touring Car for a Tire Rack install and was painless and extremely professional. This week I had an issue with my wife’s car a 2013 BMW X5 Diesel going into Power Save mode. I took it to Dan, and his team were extremely thorough in diagnosing the problem and turning my wife’s car around quickly. I will continue to take my vehicles to Touring Car and Dan for service and they are much cheaper than the dealership. Thanks Dan!!

My husband and I were so thankful that Touring Car was only 6 miles away when a warning light came on suddenly as we were passing through on a long road trip. The owner Dan welcomed us and had his mechanic take a look at our MINI without delay. I have a Porsche Panamera that needed some services on the transmission! Took the car to 5 different Porsche repair shops for the diagnosis and price estimate! Non of them charged me and they gave me an estimate for the service with or without the parts in case i want to bring my own parts! Called Touring Cars INC and Dan told me to bring the car for a diagnosis! (Without giving me any heads ups about the diagnosis fee! Technician had a test drive and told me the same thing that i was already aware of and they charged me $109 for this! But Dan told me he’s going to deduct at least half of it from the final repair cost, they sent me an estimate via email which was including the parts and every parts in that estimate was at least 25% more than the market price and half of them was aftermarket! I ended up buying my own OEM parts even lower that their aftermarket pricing and asked them for a quote on the service and labor to have them installed! They finally replayed me with this message : (We make our living repairing vehicles and selling the parts and supplies required to do that. In light of that,we are going to decline servicing your vehicle.Best of luck in your search, Dan and Co.)Basically they’re only chasing your wallet! Stay away if you don’t want to be taken advantage of the way I’ve been!

It was my first time taking my vehicle to Touring Car. After several conversations on the phone with Dan (the owner), I knew that I had found the right place. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about these older German cars and it shows. When I need any future work on my car, that I cannot tackle myself, I will not hesitate to give these guys a call.

Ive taken my 99 and 03 Boxsters to Touring Car and have been extremely happy with the service, care, quality, and cost. Dan and Duncan are knowledgeable and treat my car as if it was their own. I went to Hendrick Porsche for years and only wish Id found Touring Car sooner. I highly recommend them if you are in the greater Charlotte area.

They fixed my leaky trans cooler hoses & I wanted them to do a wheel speed sensor that was causing ABS lock-up, they did a diag and were honest. They gave me a fair price on the sensor swap, but informed me that many times the TCM that feeds the sensor is also faulty, and for my safety I should go w/ the dealer for that kind of a repair. I heeded their advice and sure enough, TCM needed replacing and they were right on the money with their assessment. Honest work done at a fair price & they wont bite off more than they can chew.

Very friendly and even if they don’t want to they answer every question without being rude not like every other shop and a guy cole even gave me a quick run down to where I could find the part number, I see great reviews from a year ago glad to see they still holding it down

Best place in Charlotte for your vintage BMW or Porsche. Very fair and straight forward, you dont get mechanics like this for Jiffy Lube rates, but its been the best value Ive found for my hard earned dollars.

Poor customer service. I called 2 days in a row, several times, and left messages. They never answered or called back. Not acceptable. Found a shop with better reviews and got my BMW fixed right.

What a stellar shop! The folks here are entirely helpful, and were happy to show me some things and answer the begillion questions I had. They accommodated my spur of the moment break down and tow to their shop and had me on the road in no time. They even recommended a great vegan lunch place in the area. They were very confident working on my 1985 VW vanagon and the mechanics even owned them themselves. They had many parts vans outside and that was so great to see. (An actual van shop) they work on many other import cars, I think.Would highly recommend this shop, and wish they were my local shop honestly!!
