Had an appointment at 3:20, got there at 3 to fill out paperwork. They finally called me in at 4:20 which was 10 minutes before another appointment that I had to keep. They could have told me sooner that they were delayed and what their projected wait time was for me, but they chose not to. I lost money and my valuable time. I will never go to this office.

Be careful of shady charges. They told me at sign in the doctor may want to do a scope and it may be an extra charge. He did, and at checkout the nurse stated I owed $350 for the visit. I have state insurance, so the fact they tried to charge me for a service upfront without even bothering to bill insurance is shady. I paid half (even though I should have only paid my copay) and when, unsurprisingly, my insurance covered the whole thing they didn’t even refund me completely.

I am an established patient here and have never had a problem with this office. The front staff is always very friendly, the nurses are always friendly and personable, and usually the doctor is also nice. I recently had an appointment here, and am very disappointed because the doctor was not wearing their mask. I did not say anything to him because I was trying to get my visit done and over with. I feel like as a medical professional, you should be complying with CDC guidelines and wearing a mask. I noticed the nurse cleaning rooms and seen the front sanitizing the clip boards, but all these precautions are pointless if the doctor doesnt have a mask on. I have not been to a doctors office since COVID started where anyone wasnt wearing their mask until this appointment.

Excellent staff and doctors. Easy to find location and waiting is at a minimum.I stopped to see about making a follow-up appointment and ended being seen & treated in less than 15 minutes.Cant say enough good about the level of care and how accommodating the staff is.If youre looking for an ENT practice then look no further.

BEWARE!! I had to take my daughter today to have something removed from her ear. It ended up being a tiny piece of plastic which took seconds to remove. I have insurance and should have only been charged a $50 copay. I have Menieres disease so I have been to many ent appointments and used my insurance. I have always paid a $50 copay. I was charged over $179. I asked why and was told they were being nice by not charging me an office visit which would have been only the $50. I asked why it was so much and was told because my deductible hadnt been met. She then said that was just how they do it. Make sure you get a price before seeing anyone in that office. We will not be back due to their billing procedures.

Horrible. Went there on a referral. Tigner will treat you like a child. Stuck a endoscope in my nose with only 5 seconds of numbing stay. Hurt like hell. Then told my employer I was fine. I dont know how my employer suddenly can get that info. But a girl in their office used to work at my employer so I can guess. Very unprofessional. Oh... went to the hospital and I have a paralyzed larynx on one side. They said Tigner shouldve seen that but they hear stories about him. I will never walk into that place and I have half a mind to get a lawyer.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!! I was with the Doctor less than 5 minutes, and he told me they could not help me at his office. They sent me to another doctors office. They did not help me at all and charged me $130!!! I asked them since all they did was send me to another Doctor, if they could lower the price since it was so much. They told me this was one of the cheapest prices they do! I could not believe it!! Please save yourself time and money and go elsewhere!!!!

It is 9 a.m. And I am leaving the office very disgruntled. I was scheduled to come in for an 8:45 appointment. I arrived at 8:30 with all of my new patient paperwork in hand completed. Upon arrival I was told after being seated for 10 minutes that the audiologist did not need to see me so my appointment with the doctor would not be in till 10:10. The entire reason I was here was for hearing loss. Yet somehow for an entire week prior to this appointment they were unaware that I needed to be seen by an audiologist. So they had me here at 8:30 for an appointment that they decided wasnt going to start until 10:10. Needless to say this is highly unprofessional and a waste of my valuable time. I will now have to wait even longer for an appointment at a different doctor because I will not be wasting my time with these incompetent fools.

Finally got a referral, just to see Dr. Tigner tell he dont believe all my ear infections are inner ear and that many hospital staff get infections confused and to see him when I get another ear infection so he can make sure its an inner ear. Well ear infection is here so I called to make an appointment and was told they have no openings at all and to go to my PCP instead. This place has been nothing but a waste of time.

Horrible experience. The building is disgusting with holes in the drywall and discolored paint. The staff is rude. EXTREMELY expensive, even compared to other places. $580 later I am no closer to feeling better and the only thing I was told was that surgery was an option. Not the only option that I had, but the only option this particular Dr. recommended. Yeah, hell no. Take your business elsewhere. Trust me.

Avoid this ENT at all cost. My wife had the misfortune of being recommended this office by her insurance. Both the receptionist and Dr. Tigner were rude and dismissive, the physician spent less than 5 minutes with my wife, walked out of the exam room in the middle of her asking him a question, and then had the gall to charge $130 for 5 minutes of the doctors time and the privilege of filling out her forms in the office. My wife is too mad at them to even set foot in the building to allow me to raise a stink at the front desk so Im doing the next best thing and spreading the word.

My son and I both are patients here. I see Dr. Tigner, my son see Dr. Almond. I was highly impressed with both Drs. Dr. Tigner was attentive and to the point with my diagnosis. I had to have my tonsils removed. The nurses were very kind and helpful scheduling the appointments. Day of surgery, I have nothing but praise for Dr. Tigner and his hospital staff. Post surgery, due to new state laws I was unable to fill a full prescription. His office, the hospital staff, and Dr. Tigner all worked together to make sure I was taken care of.Dr. Almond, was great with my son(14). Instructing my son on the importance of being responsible for taking his allergy medicine and why he needs to take it everyday. He allowed my son to be responsible for his own questions and answers, while still making sure I was in agreement with everything. Working in the health field, I do not hold unreasonable expectations on Drs or thier team. But I do believe both Drs and thier teams have done a remarkable job concerning myself and my son. Thank you, Jennifer Lovingood

DR Tigner was short, dismissive and I was in his office for a total of 5 mins. The medicine I am on that I feel Im allergic to has a solution to my problem, but his solution was to just quit taking it. Thats not how it works. He didnt ask me anything about why not, just kept telling me to stop. Ive been to several DRs in my life but never had one so dismissive. The one thing that was pleasant about my experience was he was nice as far as personality goes, and so was his office staff. Other than that it was incredibly annoying.

I visited this office on account of some symptoms that raised my concern. Due to my extended familys history with throat cancer, and my immediate familys need for esophageal stretching, it seemed like an appropriate thing to get checked out.The office was able to get me a next day appointment which was much appreciated, but then....Upon arrival they had me fill out several forms and advised me that I would have to pay $90 that day because my insurance wouldnt cover the appointment. (Side note, Im self employed and the affordable care act was my only option for insurance this year as all private sectors pulled out of Blount county for 2017. I pay full price, yet the plan covers nothing until in network and out of network deductibles are paid. Thats 4500 and 7500 on top of the monthly premium. Most medical offices will make adjustments to help, but this office would not. This is just a fair warning for anyone else on this awful Humana plan.)After checking in, I had to wait because the lobby was packed, and they were clearly running behind for the day.Once I got called back to meet with the doctor, I had appx 30 seconds to chat with him before he ordered a scope and sprayed numbing spray in my nose. He then left and it sounded like he visited with two other patients while the numbing spray took time to work. (You can hear through the walls.)Once he returned, he did the scope which took maybe a minute, two tops. He said all was clear and that hed order a barium swallow to see if that would show more of whats causing these symptoms. He wasnt unpleasant, he actually seemed fairly nice and the scope didnt hurt at all, but I didnt feel like he took, or had, any time to address my concerns. The office appears to operate like a valvoline moving patients in and out of rooms so quickly, you dont even realize whats happened. And my doctor and the other I saw were running in and out of patients rooms so quickly, I cant fathom how they keep things straight. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, the charge had gone from $90 to $300 without any form of a notice. I paid, and left, only to contact the hospital and realize I now wouldnt have enough money left to cover the barium swallow. Had we had any adequate time to discuss this in office, we could have weighed which test would be most beneficial to address my symptoms.I contacted the billing department the next day and asked how an appointment that lasted literally less than 3 minutes total could cost $300 and why insurance wouldnt cover it. She said thats the standard cost they bill insurance and since my deductible wasnt met, I was responsible for the full price. No discounts, nothing. She then said I needed to discuss my concerns about the lack of time I had with the physician, with the office manager, who wasnt available and would need to call me back. Unfortunately, I missed the call and received a voicemail that was as equally dismissive as the other interactions I had with that office. She also pinned the complaint on the physician, when in reality, it wasnt the physicians fault. That office was WAY overbooked. From working in medical offices, I cant fathom why they were shuffling people in and out of there so quickly for any other reason than money. A lot of healthcare has turned into nothing but business these days, and this office seemed to be the poster child of that.So anyway, I do recommend doing your research on pricing beforehand and perhaps even looking elsewhere for care, especially if youd like to have any time with your physician.
