We come here often and have never been disappointed. The Lattes are great and we like their sunrise muffins. The people behind the counter are always friendly and there is so much room in the building, we also like the outdoor seating.
Its alright. I want to love it, I really do. The coffee is decent in the morning when its fresh, but anytime Ive been after 10:00 am or so, its been a carafe of lukewarm, meh coffee. Also, make sure you check your order if you drive through. Ive ordered the yogurt parfait, and it always comes in a little white bag, didnt think anything of it today. Got my stuff as per usual, drove to work, got into the office and the yogurt parfait looked suspiciously like some kind of muffin.
The coffee is amazing, literally my favorite place to go get coffee! The staff was nice for the most part. However, there was one employee in particular that was very snippy with me because I did not hear her at the speaker when i went through the drive thru and pulled up to the window to order instead. I love Vienna coffee but one bad employee can make customers resent the whole company.
My dad and I share a love for local coffee shops. We both love to sip coffee while people watching, and he loves to write while I love to read. My folks recently moved to Maryville, and Vienna became my dads go-to spot. Ive been there only three times now, but will be an annual patron for years to come. I love Vienna if only for the vision of my dad posted up on a comfy couch, sipping on coffee, working on his next writing project.Vienna is huge. Thats maybe the biggest upside. There is comfy seating, and lots of it. Perhaps the small town rent levels allow them to avoid the space issues that many similarly awesome coffee shops suffer from. The coffee and little bit of food we have had were great, with the only mild complaint being the speed of service. If I were a local, Vienna would be my priority location for relaxing on a Saturday, working remote, holding a business meeting or Bible study, etc.
Ambiance: Beautiful water feature called Pistol Creek. In the morning the sunlight hits the water with sparkling brilliance. Maybe its the altitude, 1000 ft ASL, but the air was electric.Coffee: My pour over had all the brightness, flavor, and balance I come to expect in a meticulously dialed in extraction, with the added bonus of some dynamism from this particular Ethiopian single origin in their Foothills Series from the Shantawene Village area. Their advice for brewing led to a closely matched cup of the same roast at home. I was surprised when I got home that the roast date was 2 weeks earlie. I usually hope for a week or less but I didnt look before I left because I got the last bag on the shelf.Service: Amiable, passionate, efficient. Its been a year or two since I visited their Knoxville shop and I feel like this visit showed refinement. Im looking forward to trying the food offerings next time.
I so wanted to love the k cups but hardly any flavor. Boo hoo. Love the regular drip coffee though!!
Great coffee shop, I got there Thunderhead Latte on the way to the foothills parkway for a day drip for my birthday, and it was the perfect cup for a chilly morning in the mountains..
Really cute place with LOTS of seating!! Coffee was fantastic! Kids had a blueberry muffin & OJ, & those were fresh & delicious as well. It was great for our monthly brunch, but would be great alone, too! Ill definitely be back!
Vienna coffee is always a fun, entertaining and gastronomic stop. Great coffees and other drinks, snacks, and menu items plus the art to observe. It is a fun and relaxing stop any time of day.
Delicious latte and then a later decaf. Had the breakfast bowl sin potatoes and it hit the spot. Kept me full for hours. Hope to go back again.
This place will always hold special memories for me. I came here in high school to see friends perform and hang out. I came here in college to have a relaxing place to do homework and study for tests. And now I come here as an adult to get my coffee fix and read. The environment is very pleasing and relaxing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And the coffee products along with all of the food they offer are top notch! If you live in the area or if you are just passing through. I could not recommend this coffee shop enough. Let them show you why!
Good coffee and good food. Had the breakfast burrito and it was very fresh and tasty.Other reviews mention its a bit pricey, and that is true. But, you get what you pay for and nice atmosphere to enjoy a coffee and a meal/snack.
My go to coffeehouse! Their blends are delicious; Highlands is my favorite. Great space for meetings.
Fantastic coffee shop, if thats your favorite beverage, dont miss enjoying the ambiance and offerings they have - including tasty food to satisfy your tummy - especially the best bagels around. Street parking and a lot outside of their back entry for vehicles, plus plenty of room inside to sit reading your newspaper while social distancing.
Always wonderful service, a great variety to choose from and a laid back and fun atmosphere.
Great variety of beverages and food and cozy atmosphere. If you are from Maryville you will definitely see someone you know here almost guaranteed. No complaints, just your typical local coffee shop that started small and has been able to expand some to suit the needs of the customers. The patio out back is a particularly nice place to sit on a warm day.
Nice coffee shop with a comfy atmosphere. I had a breakfast burrito with Swagerty sausage. It was average but had really good green salsa verde which you needed to give it some flavor. My mom got a chicken salad croissant which was fantastic. We got most of our meal ate with no beverages so I went to the counter & was told my beverages were sitting next to the register. Nobody told us at purchase to get our drinks. This was a little annoying. It was a long wait for our food as well. For dessert we got two very expensive Nutella croissants. Nowhere near worth the cost ($12.00). They also were not very fresh. The coffee is worth the visit it is the best cup of coffee in the state. Ill go back for coffee for sure.
Started buying my coffee beans here a few months ago. Excellent fresh roasted beans with a large variety to choose from. So far my favorite is the house blend. Cant wait to try more!
Great place! The staff are friendly and professional, their menu offers a delicious assortment, and the environment is inviting! I gave 4 stars because, like every coffee shop, they are high on prices.
The staff is so kind and greets me everytime so cheerfully. The seating is so comfortable and perfect for studying and meeting with friends. Their coffee is so high quality, and the food is equally so. This establishment is a staple of Maryville.
Best quality drinks in all of Tennessee!! I come here all the time because of the kind staff, delicious drinks, and amazing environment!
Has a great atmosphere with a cozy feel. Warm drinks, warm snacks, and warm insides compliments the ultimate café feel. Although a bit expensive its one of the best coffee houses in town.
Lovely atmosphere and its a wonderful place to hang out, have a coffe or a bite to eat. They also have art shows of local artists throughout the year. Only drawbacks are the cost and limited menu selection.
Thunderhead latte is my all time favorite drink here! Super sweet staff and a great meeting place in town.
There are some great artists in maryville and surrounding counties, let’s get some art on the walls at Vienna that is interesting and gets people talking. Coffee shops are meant to be places for discussion
Vienna is a great place to go for coffee and for entertainment such as trivia and open mic. Great family place to socialize. The only downfall I would say is the parking lot isn’t compatible with the volume of customers. They need to relocate to fix that so I know it wouldn’t be an easy quick fix. Also, they are currently under staffed it seems. I understand they may not be hiring because of covid, but the customers seem to still be coming. The wait time can be long. Other than that staff seems to be great. Highly recommend Vienna.
This is the most friendliest coffee shop Ive ever been to. They are always very professional and courteous. The hours are great and they know and remember what you order. Its a very comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. Also would like to give a big thank you to an employeenamed Jadan. She has went above and beyond to get my order just right.
Excellent venue with great drinks.
Super friendly service and excellent coffee! They have baked goods that are from scratch and fresh! My personal favorites are the thunderhead latte and the muddy pond mocha. Go get coffee! Ambiance and decor is great too. Not to mention the beauty and walkways through downtown
Went today for the First time, all positive, raspberry scone excellent, cold brew excellent, Service all polite workers, shop local instead of Starbucks or Dunkins, you wont regret it
Vienna is my favorite place to pass time, meet friends, study, read, eat, relax, and so much more. The coffee is great and the employees are always a delight.
Great coffee, nice patio outside, cute gallery of student art upstairs.
My very favorite coffee shop! The staff are always friendly and do an excellent job. Free wifi and comfortable seating. Good for students studying or families out for some pastries together
Great coffee and pastries. Friendly and helpful staff. I am a part of a group that meets for coffee and bible study there; great place for that.
I really enjoyed the food and the Chai beverage I got, but I saw a lot of dust. Metal dining ware sitting face up in a cup. At least if it is face down. Other peoples germs are less likely to go in our mouths that way. Some of the light bulbs were out.I dropped a fork accidentally and when I picked it up, there was hair on it. What a way to end the lunch....You guys need to clean your store more often. Especially with Covid out and about.
I have been a customer for years and my recent visit has discontinued that which is ashame! I am aware of wearing gloves in food industry however they should be worn correctly. The young lady took my cash and then began to cut and toast my bagel in the same pair of gloves that she touched my cash with! When I pointed this out to the young lady and explained how disgusting that is in a kind demenor and if she could at least remake the bagel with clean gloves she got an attitude. I am beyond disgusted by this visit!
Vienna Coffee House is wonderful. I have been going there for about eight years or so by now and I enjoy it now just as much as I did at the beginning. This past weekend I had my bridal shower in the upstairs conference area. It was exactly like I envisioned. The catering was perfect, Ms. Kitty was a joy to work with, and the other staff members helped in any way they could. My family and friends had a really lovey time. I couldn’t be more thankful for the wonderful experience Vienna gave us. I look forward to my next coffee and lunch there.
Moved from Colorado and havent been able to find good coffee until now. Great service too, definitely my new spot.
Delightful as always! Have a quagle & one of the best local coffees around.
Great shop, awesome staff, even better coffee . . . . until December flavored coffee of the month chocolate moonpie phew! Definitely not the same great quality .
Great coffee shop! Delicious roasts and brews from sustainably sourced beans!
I have been going to Vienna Coffee for about 6 months. This is a wonderful coffee shop in downtown Maryville. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is outstanding.
I always get good service there when I go through drive thru the other day I decided to go there get lunch before work it was really good kind of expensive though I did eat on it twice they do have a nice neat clean inside place you can also go out at the back downstairs and eat near the park and if you look around on their wall they always have little concerts and different stuff going on through the week and on the weekends the only thing is they serve lunch only till 3 I think
Wow! My family and I were driving through on our vacation. We wanted to explore downtown Maryville TN. We found a coffee shop called Vienna Coffee House. We are always looking for that local coffee place when we are exploring a new place. We were very pleased to find Vienna. They have a drive through, but we went inside. Very impressive redone old warehouse type building. Lots of little places to sit and relax. Come alone or with a group. Plenty of room. They have live music on Friday and Saturday from (I think) 7-830, and I think I saw Open Mic on Thursdays. If I am ever in Maryville TN again, and I think I will be, Vienna will be my go to spot. Oh, and the coffee was amazing! Delicious! Thanks!
Great coffee ☕and service!
Always great coffee.Food is a hit or a miss.Love the atmosphere
Great coffee and pleasant atmosphere. Courteous service.
Love their house blend and some of the others. Pretty decent food and snacks and a cool atmosphere. Usually a lot of people there talking or working on their computers. Havent gone in the evening in a while but I believe they still have entertainment some nights and maybe still an open mike night, but dont quote me on that!
This is the best place in Maryville to get coffee, period! I prefer my coffee black and rarely get fancy drinks, but they outperform Starbucks on every front. I used to buy Starbucks ground coffee for home too, but I’ve been using Vienna for years now and my friends from New York agree this coffee is the best you can get (they order online from Bonnie!). If you want quality, skip Starbucks and support local by going here instead!
Just moved to town last week and got recommended this place, and I have to say they have the best coffee Ive had in a long time, I cant stop going there its just too good. This will be my #1 place to get coffee while I live here!!
A wonderful place to have coffee(great coffee) or a breakfast treat or lunch. A ++ for Maryville area.
I had the caprese on toast for breakfast. It was good but I would have preferred an over easy fried egg. My wife had the breakfast burrito. It was good but could have used some pepper. It was a large portion, so that was nice. Both of us were stuffed. The orange juice tasted like it was just squeezed and was delicious
I’ve never left a review in my life, but I thought I’d take the time to add to Vienna’s already great reputation because I have felt so good about this place lately. I think everyone can agree their coffee is lovely, and I especially enjoy their sunrise muffin. What has really made me a regular in the past couple months is their baristas. As someone who has been a barista for several years myself, I understand the value of connecting with customers and creating a second home for people to socialize/work/clear their heads..... the baristas at this location are always so incredibly kind and full of laughter. I really only know a couple names, but Tanner sticks out to me the most right now. He always makes extra effort to have a conversation with me in the few moments we have in the drive thru, and it honestly makes me want to buy a coffee every day... just to experience a joyful soul during this lonely pandemic. I have not had much conversation with Lyric, but he never seems to stop moving when he’s on the clock... he is a busy bee and a funny one at that. I don’t know the names of any of the women who work here, but every single one of them make my day brighter. Customer service is exhausting, I would have plenty of empathy if someone wasn’t at their best in this busy store, but they always pull through with attitudes I am eternally grateful for. Sheila must have a serious knack for hiring... and I’m grateful for the culture of kindness she is instilling in this environment as well. The world needs it. Thank you.
This place is amazing! Drinks are so so much better than Starbucks. Live music, and story telling on weekends. Great food, and atmosphere. The gals that work there are amazing, funny, and nice always. Jenna is the best at one of a kind frappes!
Im not a coffee gal, but I love their cocoa. Beyond their drinks and treats, its a super safe place. You could leave your kids here and be confident in their safety. They are super involved in the community, showcasing local art and music from people of all ages and backgrounds. Highly recommend a visit.
My favorite coffee shop around. Cute atmosphere and delicious baked treats and crepes. Highly recommend
Delicious food and beverage 😋
Excellent spot for watching musicians, parking is plentiful, and they carry Mama Cs gluten free items. Couches, games, and books. Also, its incredibly clean, and the employees were all nice and courteous when we visited to see Shaun Abbott. The coffee drinks were delicious, too. Thank you!
Great coffee with plenty of seating including a small patio. Theres the tables, bar at the window, & upholstered furniture. Multiple coffee types along with the made to order drinks. Pastries are sufficient but not amazingOpen mic night on stage on Thursdays is a nice way to relaxI believe they also have a conference type room for meeting & a few beer selectionsPlenty of parking
Used to be my favorite coffee shop, but since the beginning of last summer, they have managed to get my orders consistently wrong. Granted they are still good drinks, but I have had to ask multiple times in one visit for the correct drink. Southern Grace is a new shop with very friendly staff and an awesome, quiet location. Check that out as an alternative.
I enjoyed coming here for the first time to eat some breakfast and have one of their lattes. Quite friendly service and a warm & cozy atmosphere. Ill be coming back again soon enough.
Vienna Coffee is the perfect place to grab a coffee, lunch, and a study spot. The food and drinks are fairly priced and really great! Its in perfect walking distance to Downtown Maryville and Maryville College. There is also plenty of parking!
Really comfortable vibe here, great place to study. Excellent coffee, too. I got a cold brew at about 6 in the evening and was wired til 3am, watch out!
Best Coffee in TN.
Went to vienna for my first time the other day and was pleased to discover that they have vegetarian and vegan food options. I loved the bento box and the white mocha latte was perfect. I would recommend this place for a great breakfast or lunch date.
Awesome place to study or chat. Parking was on the side of he road which can fill up. Coffee costs as much as Starbucks, but much much better. If you know what good coffee is supposed to taste like then this place is for you. Took a little longer than I would like to get my order but the staff was friendly and helpful. The space inside is awesome. I am happy with my first and second experience overall. And they serve craft beer!
Im probably not qualified to review this coffee shop as I did not actually order anything, let alone coffee; however, my friend did order tea, and it was the best tea I have ever tasted. Although I was only allowed to have a few sips of my friends drink, I can happily say that I would gladly go back and order multiple of their peppermint tea anyday of the week. Before I get too caught up in the delicious memory of the tea, I should discuss the other characteristics of the cafe. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. It felt cozy and comfortable while maintaining a professional and quality presence the entire time I was there. The building itself is rather large, giving people the space they may require in order to complete what ever they may wish to complete. It is a perfect spot for any college or high school student who wishes to study in peace (which I very well might utilize in the coming years). They even have a counter specifically for those who need to be able to plug in their laptops! Overall, I would most definitely recommend this coffee place to anybody who is willing to try it!
So delicious...a little pricey but no more than Starbucks. Loved it! Definitely going back to try more yummy things😋🤤
Vienna used to be my go-to coffee spot, but over the last year or so the coffee has become increasingly inconsistent, often way too bitter or even tasting burned. The staff has changed from dedicated, well trained coffee lovers, to people with very little information or knowledge about the product they are serving. These days I mostly avoid Vienna, preferring to drive the few extra blocks to the friendly people at Southern Grace, or honestly even Starbucks. At least Starbucks is consistent.
The space is huge, youll have plenty of room. It does get busy though. The coffee was good and they had a good selection of pastries to choose from but they also had a menu of bagels, sandwiches, burritos to choose from.
Now this was a nice treat! Plenty of room to Drink and hang out. If you are in the area it is a must stop refreshing place to be.
Vienna consistently has the best coffee and espresso based drinks in the Knoxville / Maryville area.
Ever since management had changed at the beginning of the summer they have become inconsistent with their product and have focused primarily on quantity over quality. Management has become more focused company growth rather than sticking to their roots which was just a simple, local coffee house. Management is so driven now that they’ve lost their appreciation for the amazing baristas that make the local coffee house what it is. No more dimes out of my pocket for you good luck with becoming a fast food chain.
The Vienna Coffee house has REALLY bad service most of the time. It must be really poorly managed. Some of the employees are very nice, but many are not, and they dont care one bit about customer service. They make lots of mistakes with orders too.The rooms and atmosphere are nice and many of their drinks and food products are good. They just dont match with customer service and attitude at all!! I recommend new management.
I always get a Iced White Chocolate Mocha and it is delicious. Not too sweet but just right. The taste of the coffee has a pronounced flavor but not too bold. I moved here from Colorado where coffee is very popular and Vienna has the best Iced White Chocolate Mocha Ive had. Always clean inside and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My #1 go to coffee shop.
The best local home brew coffee venue in Maryville TN! They have great coffee and local live music! Family friendly establishment. The food is good too!
The coffee was like warm by the time I got mine. Other than that the salad I had was good. I liked that they had multiple types of coffee which I have not been able to find any where. The coffee that they sold was reasonably priced. When I am in need of coffee this is differently the place I will be going to in the future
Cool place. The rosemary potato quagel on an everything bagel is outrageously good. Wide variety of coffees brewed daily with even more available to buy in bags for home brewing.
4 of us ate there last night after the Early Bird Special Band performed. We all had the Ultimate Grilled Cheese. Im not sure what all is in it besides cheeses, Benton bacon, tomato but is it grilled till the bread is a beautiful golden brown and the outside is crispy & buttery without being greasy. We all agreed is was the Best Grilled Cheese we had ever had.
Really comfortable, Boutique coffee shop. More spacious than most coffee shops Ive been in, there were a few large groups meeting there and there was still plenty of room for everyone else. I didnt order food but I saw the waiter carrying some out and it looked fantastic. The coffee we had was exceptional, they had a really nice outdoor seating area on the lower level alongside a green space and small Creek. Really great place to visit if youre looking for a coffee break.
Will always love this coffeehouse everytime I go
