My husband and I took a tour of this venue just to see what it had to offer as a wedding venue (we love movies so decided to give this place a shot). From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely amazed. The theater is so gorgeous, the bridal suite is stunning, and the man cave is so fascinating with all the hidden rooms and theme-appropriate decor. Essentially from the time we left the tour to the time we got in the car, we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. Not only was the venue impressive, but our event coordinator, Haley, knew her stuff. From the very beginning Haley was immensely helpful and made sure we had every single detail of the wedding figured out. On our wedding day, her and her team made our roles of groom and bride as easy as could possibly be. They took care of everything from setting up literally everything to manning the photo booth to making sure our guests knew where to go and what to do. We could not have had a better coordinator than Haley. She was constantly in contact with us to see how planning was going and always made herself available to us for any questions or inquiries we had. She even went as far as to offer to get our food for us at the reception. We could not be more thankful for all Haley did to make sure our wedding day was perfect for us. We highly recommend this venue to everyone whether it be for a wedding or other special event. You will be taken care of and 100% satisfied with your experience. We will be bragging about the venue and Haleys expertise for as long as we both shall live.

The Capitol Theatre was just the venue we were looking for! To put it simply, it is absolutely amazing. The event director, Haley, answered all of our questions throughout the entire planning process and made the entire experience stress-free (or as stress-free as possible). During the ceremony and reception, she ensured we stayed on schedule and we did not have to worry about what comes next. The amazing staff ensured everything was set up and cleaned up before/after the event. We couldnt have asked for more support during one of the most important days of our lives. The venue has a built-in wedding planner (Haley), DJ services, catering, decor, and more. I honestly do not have a negative remark about our experience. THANK YOU for making our wedding a night to remember!! All of our guests complimented that our wedding was the MOST fun and unique they had ever attended, and I agree!

The whole family really enjoyed our visit! Theres all kinds of movie memorabilia to look at, plenty to touch as well. Attached to the ice cream and coffee bar is a glamorous theater you can sit in to enjoy your ice-cream. Even a stage and dance floor. It would be a wonderful place to hold a wedding reception or other social events.

First time here, it was awesome! Very nostalgic, with memorabilia from every movie I can remember. Nice place in downtown Maryville, can’t believe I haven’t been here before now. They have a wide variety of movie themed ice cream, shakes and coffee. We will visit again and AGAIN!!

They were great. The theater was the perfect for our function. I would highly recommend this for a medium crowd event (less then 100 people). The music and sound made for a great dance floor. We imported our food from Sullivans next door which was amazing. Great job all around.

Okay when I say Haley and Heath are the best, I don’t say that lightly!! They both made our wedding day run SO smoothly. Haley put thought into every single last detail. She took the stress out of my wedding planning and my husband and I both able to fully enjoy our day. When I met Heath, I told him i just wanted everyone to be on the dance floor and having fun! And boy did he take it to the next level. The music, lights and other surprises through the night were amazing. All of our guests loved it! We can’t thank them enough for making our day so memorable!

It was an AMAZING, wonderful, unforgettable, stress-free wedding.**TL;DR**We had a stress-free and unforgettable wedding because the Capitol Theatre is such a unique venue and Haley and Heath make it an easy experience. The theatre makes your wedding magical. Haley and Heath are very communicative, organized, and professional - they make it easy to plan a wedding!**The Venue**When doing our venue visits, the Capitol Theatre was the last place we saw, and we didnt think it would be a good fit since we arent movie buffs. But as soon as we got the tour from Haley and Heath, we were sold. The wedding venue feels more like an old Broadway theater than a movie theater, which was absolutely along the lines of what we were looking for.We went with the Crystal Package, which includes decorations, and the Photobooth, which meant we didnt need to organize anything besides the bartender and the cake - everything else was provided by the venue (we did bring in an outside caterer because of vegetarian dietary restrictions).To set the scene, the bride gets ready in a spacious, beautiful room that makes you feel like a movie star, while the grooms man cave is full of poker tables, arcade games, and a bar.If you have your ceremony there like we did, you get married under a glittering chandelier with a starry night as the background - its simply magical.The venue is perfect for a reception, and they have the formula worked out so they really know what they are doing. The tables are spacious for guests, and the dance floor is perfect for a night of dancing. The Cinemagic experience includes music videos and laser shows throughout dancing, which makes it an unforgettable wedding. Everyone told us it was the most memorable wedding they had ever been to.We also had a rehearsal dinner party in the Emerald Room the night before. It is an exceptionally well-decorated speakeasy that really makes you feel like youre in the roaring 20s. Take a tour of the room even if you dont use it, and be sure to try to open any door you see (some dont even look like doors...) Our guests had a blast...we were dancing at the rehearsal dinner! We only wish that it allowed more than 30 people.**The Staff**Haley and Heath were an amazing team to have on our side for the wedding planning process. Haley is very organized, knows what does and doesnt work, and is very responsive (which is not guaranteed with wedding vendors). Im a corporate event planner, and I was a little worried that I wouldnt be able to relax during the wedding, but day-of, I had complete faith that Haley could take care of anything that came up. If anything did come up, Im not even aware of it!

ALWAYS a cool experience. One of my absolute FAVORITE places on planet earth. The people are always so nice, and the decor....UGH....if youre an 80s buff of movies, youll LOVE this place. Theres always some new and interesting movie memorabilia hanging from the walls and ceilings everytime I visit, and as a kid of the fabulous 80s, it RULES!!! Ice creams good too but just an added bonus. 😊😊

Gosh, where do I begin. Its one thing to meet the woman of your dreams but its another thing to marry them in such a astonishing venue. Getting married at The Capitol Theatre was the best decision that me and my wife have ever made; the wedding was the best day of our lives.Haley, the wedding coordinator was truly phenomenal. By the end of the night I truly felt that we made a friend that day. She really cared and listened to everything that we had to say and made our day stress free. She really is a kind soul and hard worker. Her and the staff killed it.Heath, our MVP and DJ of the night did a tremendous job as well. That very next day, me and my wife stated that we forgot that we even had a DJ, because the music and transitions felt natural and perfect. It all felt seamless and nuanced. Heath, truly is the best DJ that I have ever met and one of the nicest as well.I feel blessed to have met such wonderful people and to get married at such a beautiful venue. Everything was nice, literally, the chairs, stage, chandelier, lights, decorations, everything, etc.If you want the wedding of your dreams then dont hesitate, choose The Capitol Theatre.Thank you for everything Heath and Haley.

Amazing place. Located in the center of Maryvilles old city district. Great venue and awesome staff. Has a 60s theme in the front. Ballroom design in the back with stage. Great for weddings. Awesome DJ and light show. Downstairs was really awesome casino style waiting and dressing room for the groomsmen.

We got married here over Labor Day weekend and could not have asked for a better ceremony/reception. Everyone had a blast from the kids all the way up to the grandparents. Haley made sure the event went smooth from start to finish and we did not have to worry about a thing. If you are planning on getting married here go with the VIP package, I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Very unique 80s themed ice cream shop and a beautiful event hall.

We came to Haley & Heath 30 days prior to our wedding date because we had a last minute snag in our wedding plans. We were so stressed, but they were quick to respond, very easy to work with, and accommodating beyond all measure, which was such a breath of fresh air for a couple in distress. They truly went above & beyond to ensure that our wedding day was everything we wanted and MORE! The Capitol Theatre itself is extremely beautiful, and has everything you could possibly need in a venue! The aesthetics, partnered with the kind and helpful staff, were the perfect ingredients for a dream come true wedding day. The lounges are phenomenal, the decor is gorgeous, and the cinemagic experience just ties it all together for the most perfect wedding! We are truly thankful that our original wedding plans fell apart because having our wedding at the Capitol Theatre was BETTER than we could ever have asked for! Many of our guests even praised the venue. We would highly recommend this venue, and will definitely book future events there.

Pretty cool little ice cream place but very small

When I first walked in to this theatre, I was blown away. it is absolutely gorgeous! I love the idea of not having to travel to a reception site after the wedding and it is both romantic and a fun atmosphere. Haley was the best to work with. She is meticulous and pays so much attention to every detail. She could plan the entire wedding for you and you wouldnt even have to worry about a thing because she is that good. pictures do not even do the venue justice and all my family is still raving about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to!!

Haley and Heath at the Capitol Theatre were absolutely amazing. We had a problem with our first venue cancelling on us due to bankruptcy of the company three months from our wedding day. Haley got back to me the same day I contacted her, really within hours, and gave us a tour the next day, on a snowy, crazy day that you typically would not expect a venue to be open for tours. She was so kind and understanding of our situation and helped us and calmed our nerves tremendously. The venue was GORGEOUS. Their best package comes with all the decorations, so one huge plus is you don’t have to bring in a lot and clean up after! Another huge plus, you don’t have to worry about hiring a DJ. Heath is an AWESOME DJ and the lighting and music was great!! All of my guests were in awe of how beautiful the venue was and kept telling me all night! The location is great also, It’s right in the middle of Maryville, with hotels and restaurants super close. You will not regret booking this unique venue with the amazing staff that work here!

I had my wedding here and they made it the best day of our life. Everyone who attended said it was literally the best wedding they had ever been to (even my grandmother who said weddings are boring). Everything about the place is amazing.

I cannot say enough great things about the Capitol. Everyone that works there is incredibly friendly and super easy to work with. The themes are amazing and their drinks are so delicious and accurately themed! We held an event in the Emerald room and they made sure the event was themed to the very detailed. Our attendees had a blast and all wanted to host an event there in the future!

The “Double Feature” dessert is absolutely delicious; we love stopping in for ice cream. I’ve been to several events here and it is an amazing space!

Captiol Theatre is not only an amazing event venue, its a delicious ice cream parlor and coffee shop. I frequent here at least every week, as I work near by. My son enjoys our ice cream dates here as well, as there are so many cool characters on the walls and ceilings.

The Capitol Theatre was an absolute dream! Two weeks ago we had to most magical wedding thanks to the wonderful staff at the Theatre. The moment my now husband and I walked into the space we knew it would be a unique and special experience for ourselves and for our guests. The staff was very helpful, especially Haley, and took away 100% of the stress of making sure everything went smoothly. They helped push me from one event to the next, making sure we stayed on schedule. The food was delicious and I had guests come to me afterward and tell me this was the most unique and cool wedding they had ever been to! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants great food, wonderful service, and an unforgettable night!

To say it was a dream come true is an understatement!The venue is beautiful, and Haley is the most amazing coordinator. We did not have to worry about timelines or schedules as Haley handled all of that for us on our wedding day. She helped the whole day flow with such ease, and we couldn’t be more grateful!Heath, the owner and DJ, was amazing! We were all about the party atmosphere for our reception and he delivered! (even with a surprise last minute first dance song switch!) The music videos, laser lights, and smoke were just what we needed to get the party going! The transitions were effortless, and he nailed our musical styles!We will be using The Capital Theatre again for events in the future! We cannot say enough great things about the venue and the staff. My first time in the Capitol Theatre since I was a child watching movies. It looks amazing. I was there to celebrate my friends 60th birthday and really enjoyed it. The decor is great and is very comfortable. Its a great place for special occasions. I was impressed.

First visit and loved it! Our shakes were delicious!!! Tons of movie-themed shakes, sundaes, ice cream and coffee to choose from! The atmosphere is so fun! Lots of movie memorabilia to look at in every nook! Great customer service as well! Definitely recommend and will be back!

We just had our high school reunion (50) at the Capitol and it was a great experience from the start. Haley was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process run so smoothly. The reunion itself came off without a hitch and Heath was awesome in running the sound and lights. Everyone who attended was very impressed and will remember this for years to come. Great place for our sons wedding

Saw a play here and LOVED it!!!! Small, quaint, and had some very nice features. From what I understand, it can be rented for a wide variety of events. If I lived closer to it, I would rent it all the time! Met the owners, and they are VERY nice. Visit here or rent this place---youll be glad you did!

We attended an employee party at the Capitol theater which was very nice. It certainly is well constructed for this type of venue. There is plenty of room and the setup was fabulous for a high caliber event.

Steve was so personable and he had wonderful recommendations in which he thought was the best coffee drink. And I can now say this is the best coffee Ive ever had. They also serve ice cream and chocolate trinkets. Its a fun little place.

Capitol theatre is very beautiful. They had a halloween dance party one year that the kids had a BLAST at. they did not have it this year sadly. There is also a little ice cream/coffee shop right inside that is amazing. I know a lot of ppl have weddings here at the theatre. The ladies here are very friendly.

The capitol was a great place to have our wedding. everything was just as i wanted it and the whole thing ran smoothly. Haley was such a huge help and kept me sane. without her i dont think it could have been nearly as pleasant of an experience. i would recommend this venue to everyone!!

My daughters prom was held here. It was absolutely beautiful and glamorous. The kids all had a wonderful time dancing the night away.

My Cousin had their wedding there. The atmosphere was beautiful and breathtaking. Pictures dont do it justice to be honest with you. The only setback I saw was if you bring in your own caterers and parking. You cant use anything of theirs. Not even the ice👌🏻, if you are using an outside caterer. Thats not within the city limits Maryville or Alcoa. Thats a great deal of equipment to carry around. Including ice for 200 people. Plus the caterers couldnt get in the facility until the bridal party arrived. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If I were having an event of any kind, I would consider using their catering services. The day turned out to be like a fairytale wedding. Although it was hectic getting the catering for the reception set up. It was well worth the extra time and effort and work. Its a wedding I will soon not forget . The Capitol Theater is one of the most elegant places I have ever seen a wedding performed at. Especially if you want romance and a lifetime of memories. My cousin is considering having her 60th birthday party there.🎂🍡🍰. Family and friends are still talking about the wedding and the atmosphere ❤👍🏼.
